Crime / Re: A Boy Beats His Girlfriend For Not Unlocking Her Phone (Video/Photo) by gistmega: 8:37pm On Jan 21, 2022
Are you serious?
You think this girl at this age will allow her parents to beat her like this and she stay and beg? First thing is to run away from home. Where is the sense to run away from this boy? She will stay and endure what she cannot endure from her parents. Someone's daughter should be in someone's house and not be visiting boyfriends for fornication and illegitimate sex. The boy will not go to jail because the girl didn't file any case against him. And, the parents will be grateful that she got a beating to reset her hormones. The pair deserves thorough beating. Two of them need community whipping. Kids that should be in school are in boyfriends houses while the parents are working hard to pay more fees for absentees.
Be glad this one was caught on camera. This girl will endure more beatings in her life before she reaching maturity if she continues this lifestyle.
TooNoisy:
Small boy like this. Beating someone's daughter this way?? He should go to jail.

Even if she is cheating, must you beat her like that? Like what kind of humans are in this country? And you lot actually think this is right?

Lalasticla.la, mynd44, please push to front page and let's try and get this boy apprehended.

Crime / How GTB Blocked Me And Unblocked Me by gistmega: 10:46pm On Jan 18, 2022
I operated this account decades ago from the early 2000's. Was good banking for a while but later got messy. Poor customer care and over-crowded bank space. I finally abandoned the bank after my ATM expired and left me stranded abroad. I called a million times and wasted the few cash that I had on me on calling this bank. They provided not a simple solution but pretended to be dumb. They just can't help with simple customer services. When I returned, I pulled out my cash and waved them goodbye. I never looked back since 2010. Last year, they emailed me telling me that my account was restricted. I didn't even budge. They thought that the message would pull me to their bank. I totally ignored them.
Surprisingly, today I got a message that the account is restored. WTF who cares?

Dear XXXX,

It is no secret that Buhari and his cohorts are robbing the national coffers in broad daylight. The fact that he planted worms about town derailing issues that expose them is also not a secret. He has slugs even here on nairaland. These are miscreants with no substantial knowledge of how the system works. They are plugs inserted to cause hysteria and pandemonium while chanting victory declarations over a failed government. They think that bullying people and controlling freedom of speech will cement the truth forever.
This government chaired by the relatives of Buhari has all but borrowed more than the US has in two dispensations. To mention that nothing was achieved with this colossal amount is overbearing. Even our grandkids will not be able to repay these loans. Which means, that all the oil that we sell from now till 2050 will be set aside for loan repayment. So, the next president will have nothing to work with but to seek more loans. The biggest projects in the world are run by working governments. No monumental construction happened under Buhari. Buhari did not establish any factory, he did not create any industry, let alone turn the light on any failing industry. Talk about the water corporation? Coal industry? The oil sector, No! Agriculture, No! Education, No! Nothing on ground to generate wealth for the country. He could have invested in agriculture to complement the oil but he spent more time looking for oil in the desert than actually milking the existing oil that the north has, agriculture.
Sad, but to watch another old and sagging frail man without a vision for development replace this government. Crime is 10 times higher than before. Buhari has sealed up all sources of wealth generation, leaving the youths he calls Lazy to seek heinous crimes as a solution to their misery. I am an independent (do not believe in politics and have no affiliation to any party), so this is not a hate speech but a reality check.
Supporting power grabbers based on religious or tribal affinity is a crime. You deny meritorious characters the opportunity to create a change that will benefit all.

The moment that people are ready for the change, things would change swiftly, no forces or any government can stand in front of human progress. Is it not in the same Nigeria that people still believe in the metaphysical power of turning human flesh into money?

Americans announce everyday on crimes and drugs. The problem here is the power of the economy and the Goverment's push-back. The US never holds back the power of sanction. Everyone is called names but it is the willingness of the government to control the effect of the name that settles the score. Stop trying to demonize Nigerians. You are taking attention away from where it belongs.
focus on the matter at hand and stop deflecting. No one cares who said what. The issue here is, you can't treat me based on what you hear. If you do, I will do the same. Stop being a miscreant and act like someone who hasn't completely lost his brain cells.

It is very funny that you people tend to show your love for Nigeria when you are out of the country, but you don't even take a second to look back for the reason why you left in the first place

If Nigerians are better people than what I said, why are you people leaving the country in droves without any concrete plan of ever returning to it?
You remember when I told you that you aren't Nigerian? You exposed yourself. I will insert a chart here to silence your ignorance. Who told you that Nigerians leave in droves? If Ghanaians or citizens of your country of origin could afford the cost of traveling like Nigerians, the only ones left to vote in your country would be amputees and the aged. In Nigeria alone, the count is 200 million individuals living together amidst the vast cultural differences. If your country could even, and thrive like Nigerians, you would have been investing your time on a forum created by your compatriot.

Every country is bad-mouthed. The British Monarch were bad-mouthed last year as racists. But, no one perpetuates that after the heat. I am looking at the bottom-pie not the dressing. Who is bad-mouthing one's country? Some news are better left in the region where it emanates. Everyone has a right, even a criminal. You cannot treat a criminal as you like because he is a criminal. Even if People bad-mouth Nigeria, you have no right to treat Nigerians irresponsibly as a result of that. Stop encouraging morons to take you down. A reasonable person will stop a fight to hear the matter. Do not say that, Sir.
You can't treat Chinese like worms cos they have a bad image. They fight back. Russians are called names but you can't treat them as you like, they fight back. Arab are called barbarians and when you treat them as one, they fight back. Why are you the only one who answers the bad name that you are called. Fight back!

Are you dreaming or something?
If I were, you could have read my comment in your own dream
tonididdy:

Do you know the troubles nigerians in Nigeria face?
The major donors to Nigerians in Nigeria are Nigerians living abroad. Go figure! Without Nigerians in diaspora millions of families could have jointly suicided. If not for Nigerians living abroad, the oppression in Nigeria would have quadrupled. Nigerians abroad are untouchable for politicians and they speak the hard truth and attack your oppressors, making them uncomfortable. Nigerians in diaspora open doors for millions of Nigerians to soar. Need I give you an example? If don Jazzy never left Nigeria, he wouldn't have made the cash to buy a mixer to produce any track. If Chimamanda never left Nigeria, that massive door she shattered for Nigerian and even African writers would have been reconstructed with bricks by now. Even Forbes know that Nigerians are successful in diaspora which gives the newbie an edge to fit into an already carved niche.
tonididdy:

Why did you leave?
Me? In 2 days, I will be there with you. I ain't going nowhere. Been to over 47 countries but I am still based in Nigeria.
tonididdy:
Wasn't it because you could no longer function?
No booboo. Many kids are sent out by their parents. Many are hired directly from their previous employments. In fact, the major number of Nigerians leaving are OK-certified to function at the highest level. That proves why Nigerian doctors are hot-sauces in many countries. If they could no longer function, how are they able to smash records in diaspora? Read about Nigerians in Diaspora. As someone who goes to Dubai, you should have been more exposed to basic facts like this.
tonididdy:

Dude the solution to your problem first starts in the country you are in?
That sounds immensely puerile. Even a baby in diapers would reason better. I am telling you that Nigerians in diaspora are classified THRIVING by Forbes and highly regarded news outlets. It is even mentioned on national TV networks. How did you allow yourself to get left out in knowledge?
tonididdy:
Do you expect unemployed nigerians to carry placards for their siblings in diaspora on Nigerian streets?
Do you know how many Nigerians go out in protest in diaspora? No one is expecting you to carry placards. If you actually read my comment, you would have noticed a word called "tweet" used for affirmative actions. Do you want me to send my comment to you by Nipost for your teachers to assist you?
tonididdy:

Dude be calming down ok, I do shuttle Dubai regularly until this upsets began
I am typing from Dubai now. If this upset held you back, then you shouldn't be on my level. I am not held back by such upsets cos I sail on a "blue" whale. Where do you go in Dubai and what do you do there? Stop trying to elevate yourself as if Dubai is a see-before-I-die destination. The ease of visa application to Dubai should not make you proud. Be humble! Others are far ahead of you in all ramifications. If you can, lend a voice and help and do not sound pessimistic. Be human and gain knowledge before open your mouth in public

The evil about Nigerians is that when they hear of the plights of their compatriots in foreign lands, they quickly judge them and ask them to return home. As if there were a home around town. Nigerians are not the only ones traveling out for greener pastures. At least, lend a voice and put the oppressors under pressure. Times like this, you would expect Buhari's kids to retweet stuff like this but they sit like old corsets and ride in loots. It is sad that the poor keep suffering. Davido, Wizkid, Burna boy and all those crooners will keep quiet on top issues like this cos Dubai is a chill spot for them. These top names should give a voice and invite human right activist into the matter.
It is too much. If you haven't been around you would not understand. Even Indians are given more privileges than us. In the gulf, not only the Arabs are racist toward Nigerians, also the Indians will trash your CV in the chute because you are Africans. They hate Nigerians for no reason.

Family / Re: Help My Husband Seems To Be Addicted To Prostitutes! by gistmega: 4:20pm On Jan 16, 2022
My sister. People asking you to divorce him do not mean you well. This isn't a case of divorce. That man is an addict to women and the fact that you beg for sex shows that is not pleased with your body changes post natal.
I know that your daughter takes your time too but then, there is a crisis in your marriage. I want to assure you first that you are still beautiful and there is no thing wrong with you. Stop getting depressed over this. Your case is not more than many women out there. Take it easy and address this issue with caution and sensitive gloves.
First, get real with him about the changes you have endured from having a baby. Educate that man well enough so that he can appreciate the effort that you put in to carry a human being to birth. Get some nice clothes like the prostitutes get and work on your body as much as you can.
communication is very essential in marriage. You both must not be afraid to discuss sensitive topics. do not let him sweep issues under the carpet.
Saying that you forgive a man without asking for the initial reason for his actions is furtive. A man cheats cos he has fantasies. Are you in his book of fantasy? Ask yourself. His brothers cannot change him, you can. He is a human and a subject to change. He is not totally gone.
Divorcing him exposes you to even more cheat kings. At least, he has one problem. Only one! You should focus on it and work on your man to fix it. Read the Bible together. Not only praying, but let him read the word and take time to analyse it, then pray. Propose ideas to him and ask him to reveal his sexual fantasies to you.
some men require a strong event in their lives to make changes, like being jailed for illegal sex or experiencing a near-death incident. some just need a support to help them change. It may be in his heart to change but the pressure compels him to visit the girls. Intensify your assistance and help him overcome his struggle. see it from that angle. It is addiction. He needs help. Don't give up on him as yet. Fight for the love in your affair.

How is it the oldest? Show me proof when the question was first asked.
It is never the oldest. There were many questions asked and even before anyone asked those questions, the answers were already provided. Go and read Genesis 3:19 and stop asking a question that you already know the answer. Then, stop fooling people into misery.
Man had never wondered where he came from or where he is going before controversy stokers like you came up. Man had always known that he comes from dust. You simply fail to accept it, not that you do not know. Man is from dust. There is no question about that. When God created Adam he gave him a home. The man's mission was not to go anywhere else away from his home, but to populate the earth and live in it. You are the one denying the man of his home. The only reason why man lost his home is because he sinned against God and the next destination is the earth. The same place where he is from. Man has been promised a new home, the earth. After it is made new again. Revelation 21:1
Please, be informed and do not continue to progress your deficient line of reasoning.
Fairview1:
The oldest two question in life have always been;

1. Where are we from?

And

2. Where are we going?

The mysteriousness of these two questoons, especially the latter will always have majority of the people running back to God whenever they began to see grey hair on their head, as a result of damnation to hell fire. This I must admit is iconic. Well done woman. Your soul is redeemed.
