There are no "legit guys" hooking people for jobs. It's just normal information. Some may be true, some may not be. Even if the person is HR, he cannot be employing every day or every week. If I tell you there's vacancies or interviews somewhere, that's hook up right? But it's another thing for you to be employed among the others.

I intended doing the course since I know Autocad so I can apply for draftsman job if I enter UAE. So I was told to do a 2 days course on interrior design, instead of landing UAE and start doing menial jobs, so it's better when I land I do the interrior design course then start applying for draftsman job or Interrior designer. Mind u I have Hnd civil engineering.

Those kind of jobs demand more of UAE experience than certificate. Like I usually say though, certificates increase your chances of getting employed. They don't guarantee it.

You have 60days after your visa is out to travel, so you can do it after visa is out. Also visa doesn't take more than one day to three days usually. So it's any way. It's up to you.

The Jews used to use the word 'dogs' as a derogatory term in order to refer to the Gentiles. Christians argue back that Jesus only used this term because it was common language back at that time and so the woman would have known what Jesus was speaking about.
This is a pathetic excuse. Jesus should have come and abolished this silly practice of referring to Gentiles as 'dogs'. If he wanted to communicate to the lady regarding Gentiles, he could have simply said 'Gentiles' and she would have understood. He didn't have that to use that term and continue allowing this silly and offensive practice to continue.

Are they not dogs? Abeg shift. The same bible uses animals like sheep, dove, lion, goat, pig, snake etc to describe persons. It's called metaphor, not insult. The Bible is absolutely spot on in the behavioural descriptions and comparisons. Except you are an "animal racist", there's nothing wrong with metaphors. You just need a little sense to understand when someone is described as a rock, palm tree, iroko etc.

I have an aunt who recently relocated to Dubai in November on getting there she realized she needed attestation of her certificate in order to get a job. Now she’s there and needs information/guidance on how to get it done. I was able to gather some information online and it stated it can be done in Lagos or Abuja. Can someone kindly help out with how it is done. I would rather prefer getting information based on experience than what’s listed on the website. We would also appreciate contacts of people who can help facilitate it.

Nigeria is messed up.

The earlier I leave the longer I will live!

So, after getting to ministry of education in Abuja,

They insisted on seeing my original WAEC result which I politely told the lady I lost it but I have a scanned copy and also an option to print out through WAEC portal.

She said NO!

When she saw the frustration and anger on my face,

She said they can accept confirmation of result sent directly from WAEC through courier.

Meaning I have to go back to Lagos..

Can you imagine ?

I felt really bad and my hatred for this country increased by one thousand percent.


I left Abuja that same day around 2pm, got to Lagos by 2am. (I know it was a risky journey but I'm ready to risk anything (legal) to leave this country)

Next day,

I went to WAEC office to request for confirmation of result which cost me #5,000, courier charged: #2500
Affidavit : #3000
Passport: #1000

Then comes the shock of my life when a clerk in WAEC office told me they won't touch my application till next year.

I was like what da f...

Luckily for me, I have a sister working in WAEC office I contacted her and my application was processed same day and was sent to Abuja next day.

Strangely I just lost interest in going back to Abuja.

But hey I will be be travelling this month or first week of February.

That's why they say knowledge is power. People perish because of lack of knowledge. Ministry of education needs to attest your original certificate, embassy needs to authenticate your original certificate, anyone or company that will ask for your ssce or qualifications will need your original certificate. So it's better to work on getting another certificate or don't even bother about the certificate. No serious organisation will take photocopy. Even original sef is suspected and mis/dis/un/malregarded.
