They consider secular society to

Baptized individuals who formally leave
are considered disassociated and are also
shunned. Disfellowshipped and

1. Sex is a powerful force that can destroy if not used properly

Like atomic power, sex is the most powerful creative force given to man. When atomic power is used correctly it can create boundless energy; when it is used in the wrong way it destroys life. Sex is the same kind of powerful force. Sex is a gift from God to give us the greatest pleasure, to help in creating a deep companionship with one's spouse and for procreation of the next generation. But if you play with this powerful force outside the bounds of marriage, it destroys you and those close to you.

2. Sexual activity for young people arrests their psychological, social and academic development. Studies show that when young people engage in premarital sex, their academic performance declines and their social relationships with family and friends deteriorate. This is because adolescents are too immature to deal with the explosive sex drive and it tends to dominate their life.

3. The majority of women cannot enjoy sex outside of the bonds of marriage. The development of a fulfilling sex life needs the security and peace of the marriage bond. Premarital sex usually takes place sneaking around in hidden places dealing with the fear of being caught, the fear of pregnancy and feelings of guilt. All these (worrisome) factors undermine pleasure in premarital sex, most especially for women.

4. Virginity is to be given to the most important person in your life, the person you committed yourself to stay with forever in marriage Your virginity is the most precious thing you have to give to your spouse. Once you lose it, nothing in the world can bring it back. Don't lose something so precious in a thoughtless way.

5. Those who engage in premarital sex run a high risk of contracting one of the many venereal diseases rampant today, as well as losing their fertility. Not just AIDS, but other common disfiguring diseases like herpes have no cure.

6. Some venereal diseases have no symptoms and many couples discover many years later that they became infertile because of these diseases. Infertility experts estimate that 80% of today's infertility is due to venereal diseases contracted before they married.

7. The best and only method that guarantees 100% against AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases is to wait for marriage to have sex and maintain fidelity in your marriage.

8. Premarital sex breaks the 10 Commandments given by God. The 10 Commandments are given to man by God to make man happy. They are not outdated and they are not restrictive. If we follow these laws, we can create happy and prosperous lives. If we don't follow them, we will pay a heavy price in divorce, disease, abortions, illegitimate children and loneliness. Modern men make a big mistake when they think that they can break these eternal laws and not suffer consequences.

9. Premarital sex runs the risk of conceiving illegitimate children. Numerous scientific studies show that the children of single mothers suffer psychologically and are less successful socially and academically than children from intact families. Above all, children need both their father and their mother. It is wrong to risk having children who will never have their father's love, protection and care.

10. If you date and you don't have sex, you can forget about that relationship when you stop dating. But if you have sex with those you date and then break up, the nature of sexual involvement creates strong, often unpleasant memories for your whole life. Every relationship you break up where you had intimate relations is like a mini-divorce. The psychological difficulties of these mini-divorces does damage to your character. Later, when you are married and go to bed with your beloved spouse, these unpleasant memories will accompany you.

I have seen different arguements about sister Linda's testimony especially here on NL.

Firstly, this is not the first testimony about hell. There have been other testifiers even before her. Although I think hers and d@ of Evangelist Amure's went viral. I still remember a testimony like 10years ago that talked about all these things.

Just early last year during NYSC I wz in a pentecostal church in Ibadan for a prayer meeting( a very small church) and there wz a warning for a very popular MOG during a word of prophecy by a member and it wz specifically said d@ the mssge shd be passed 2 him. When sister linda mentioned the person again I wz not surprised, In fact after d prayer meeting @ Ibadan then I wz challlenged If this powerful MOG is found wanting what about I d@ have been practising mushroom xtianity.
christainity is a personal race The GO, reverend, priest bishop also wants 2 make heaven as well as every christain.

The fact still remains I dont see anything different with wat she has said and wat has been said in times past. I ve heared it over and over again that jeweries, attachment and sinful and seductive dressing can lead to hell.

We've heared testimonies of people that were once in d occult and later gave their life to christ talk about these things. We've also heared of how malice, unforgiveness, talking something d@ doesnt belong to u can lead u 2 hell. Is there anytin different from all what she said. May be its because she mentioned churches thats why people are aggrieved, and I also feel the isssue of make up, jeweries and attachement, trousers is another contention.

Honestly I attend a church wia dey dnt allow those things but I wz nt jst convinced d@ my small pin up earring is an issue despite d fact d@ I told U I ve heared of all these testimonies. Until I wz finally convicted I did nt drop them.

She said her brother said when travelling 2 europe thru the desert, their leader told dem to remove all forms of jeweries on dem coz dose tins attract spirits, and sum1 did not remove her bracelet, when the sand storm came the thing swallowed her and they saw only d bracelet on the floor.

I want to say that God's word is sure and true and like the rich man's and Lazarus story even if I send some 1 from the grave they still will not believe.

Narrow is the way. It is better to live a holy life ,dress like a child of God, drop all forms of jeweries/attachmnent/makeup and make heaven than to miss that place because of ordinary earring or seductive dressing or lies or unforgiveness.

Please Jehovah Witness that is listening to me at this moment, I don’t want to offend you. Get out of that sect and come to Jesus quickly. I don’t hate you and I don’t hate your religion either, but you are in a farce. Come to Jesus. He is waiting for you with open hands. Charles Russell is in hell because he taught lies. Don’t follow his lies. When we left this place, these prison doors closed and caught fire and this man Charles Russell cried and screamed and cursed Jesus repeatedly because Jesus said “The judgment has been set for this man”.
Now the Lord said: “Rodolfo, now I am going to show you the black jails of hell. This is the extreme punishment of Satan to the souls in hell.”. “No Lord, please! I have already seen terrible things. Take me out of this place’’. The Lord said, “OK, Rodolfo, I am not going to do anything if you don’t permit me. I am going to take you to heaven now”.

·Make us feel good, as we want to experience a meaningful, emotionally and fulfilling life with you..i.e... make us feel that we're on common ground with you;
·Be your true self and don’t pretend; cos we have the instinct in us to smell pretence from afar;
·We know we like nagging; but be rest assured that we women hate to see a man nag; best believe it, we have some men who know how to nag more than a woman;
·Give us your support..i.e..let us feel that you’re the first person we can turn to when we’re in need, without fear of lectures or dis-interest from your side;
·When we hurt, we want you guys to listen and resist the urge to offer advice unless we ask for it…i.e.. be considerate, thoughtful, and kind;
·Compliment us and mean it; cos that compliment goes a long way in making us feel good about ourselves;
·Try not to take us for granted, neither ignore us; cos it infuriates us;
·Show your joy in spending time with us; cos we need to feel that you appreciate doing so;
·Be our greatest supporter i.e. back us up 100% cos that’ll make us know that we can always count on you;
·Most of us never forget things; and if you’re angry with us my advice would be to walk away and take time to cool down, or you might say something you'll regret;

Many feel they are free to pick their own paths to heaven. Some world religions promote the concept that all doctrinal routes eventually lead to the same God. God allows us the right to choose, but the direction chosen either leads toward God or away from Him.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” (Matthew 7:13-14).

“Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able” (Luke 13:24).

How many times have you heard someone say, “We are all worshipping the same God anyway”?

The early church knew the way, went the way, and led others in the way. “The Way” was one of the earliest names given to the Christian church.

In a world of many choices, people find it difficult to understand that there is only one way.

Paul and the One Way Road

Paul persecuted “The Way” until his roadside encounter with the Lord.

“And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem” (Acts 9:2).

“And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women” (Acts 22:4).

Paul eventually followed “The Way.”

“But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets” (Acts 24:14).

Paul was called upon to defend himself. He knew Felix was familiar with ”The Way.” Having knowledge about truth is not the same as embracing it. It is possible to know what the Bible teaches, but not do what it commands. Each person is responsible for the truth he hears.

The Life Application Bible Commentary (Acts) suggests three reasons people reject Jesus as the only way.

They are satisfied with their own way. Like people in a smoke-filled building because they doubt there is a fire, they insist on finding their own way out.
2. They deny their lostness. The people in the smoke-filled building insist on debating whether there is a fire.

3. They believe that there are several valid ways to get to heaven. They reluctantly agree that there may be a fire in the smoke-filled building, but they think that one escape route is as good as any other. Jesus is the only way to the Father. Some may argue that the way is too narrow. However, it is wide enough for anyone and everyone to enter.

"The fly that refuses to heed advice follows the corpse to the grave." (African Proverb)

Howard Hendricks in Color Outside the Lines gives an excellent illustration of what can happen to those who refuse to heed advice. A boat made its way toward its destination. On board were 1,358 people enjoying an afternoon outing. Thirty minutes after leaving the shore, a fire broke out. People started shouting, fearing their lives would be lost. Although the ship was close to shore, the captain steadily kept his course. No one knows why he did not return to land for help. Some say he did not understand the severity of what was taking place. Others say he thought the crew could take care of the situation. He refused to pay attention to the fire alarms, the screaming people, or the smoke and flames. The tragedy resulted in the loss of over a thousand lives. Investigations revealed the crew was unskillful and inspectors had been bribed. Fire buckets had been filled with garbage, and life vests had rotted.

We have been warned of impending fire in hell. We cannot be saved on our own. Salvation through Jesus Christ has provided a way of escape. Shall we heed the Savior’s call?

“How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him” (Hebrews 2:3).

God sees sin.
God sees the sinner.
God judges sin and sinners.
He provides only one way of escape (salvation).
“Instead of worrying about how limited it sounds to have only one way, we should be saying, “Thank you, God, for providing a sure way to get to you!” (Acts Commentary)

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

The Way
The Truth
The Life
Faith in Jesus and obedience to His commands is the only way to heaven. Obedience leads us upward to heaven. Disobedience leads us downward to hell.

There is no other way to heaven besides Jesus Christ. He is the truth, and we should obey His teachings. He alone provides eternal life.

Man would prefer to choose his own path to heaven. Many try to do that, but it leads to a dead-end street. There are no options. Jesus Christ is the only way.

“To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins” (Acts 10:43).

Peter confronted the religious leaders with this undeniable fact—

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

His clear voice echoes through centuries and can still be heard.

Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation.

“One Lord, one faith, one baptism” (Ephesians 4:5).

The Bible is very clear that there are only two kinds of people (both in life and in death). (See Romans 3:9-31; 6.)

They are:

Saved
Lost
Jesus tells us people will be judged because they have not believed on “the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18).

Only those who call on the name will be saved (Romans 10:13-15). Peter’s Pentecost message contained these words, “Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21).

How do we call on the name of the Lord? Peter further explained, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost” (Acts 2:38).

Through baptism in Jesus’ name, we call on the name of the Lord.

“Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 3:20-21).

Noah lived in a sin-filled world. God instructed him to build an ark. He was about to destroy the world by a flood. Noah followed each instruction in detail. He preached and invited people to repent, warning them of the soon coming judgment. They mocked him and thought he was crazy. Up until then, rain had never fallen. Our world is similar. People do not take the soon coming of the Lord seriously. (See 2 Peter 3:4, 9-10; Matthew 24:37-39.)

There was only one door into the ark. Noah and his family entered the ark along with the animals. We have an ark of safety.

Jesus Christ is the door.

“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved” (John 10:9).

“Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ, Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father: To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” (Galatians 1:3-5).

Assunta had no children. When her health started to fail in 2009 she
bequeathed her estate to Tommaso. Italian law prohibits animals, such as
pets, from a direct inheritance , states the New York Daily News.
Assunta could not find a satisfactory animal shelter to care for her cat
when she passed away.
Instead, her nurse Stefania took care of them until her passing. Stefania
and Tommaso are living in an undisclosed location away from potential
kidnappers and avoiding con artists. The cat is not the first to inherit a
huge fortune.

Blackie -- $13 Million
Blackie's owner, Ben Rea, died in 1988. Rea's $13 million estate went to
his beloved cat and other cat charities in the U.K. His relatives were not
too pleased with the decision, according to The Pet Gazette.

Beryl Reid's cats -- $1.8 Million
British comedic actress Beryl Reid died in 1996. In her later years she
began adopting stray cats at her home in Berkshire , England, reports The Independent. Coco, Boon, Hamish, Eileen and Tuffnel acquired a fortune of $1.8 million. Reid designated friends to look after her cats.

Red -- $1.3 Million
TV NZ News reports Canadian David Harper, a bachelor and recluse,
died in March 2005. Harper left all of his fortune, 1.3 million Canadian
dollars, to his cat, Red. The United Church of Canada makes sure to care
for Red's needs such as food and veterinarian bills for the rest of his
life.

Tinker -- $226,000
Margaret Layne was 89 and acquired an 8-year-old cat named Tinker.
Layne did not have any children, according to BBC News. When she died in 2002, she left her North London home and a trust fund to Tinker. Layne's neighbors, Ann and Eugene Wheatley, are the designated
caretakers of Tinker's home and overall care. Other cats from the
neighborhood are enjoying Tinker's comfortable lifestyle.

Tweety121: I am not as young or as innocent as I look, yet every time I cross the street with any man, whether I've known him 10 minutes or 10 years, they either hold my arm/hand or put a protective hand on my back and lead me to the other side of the road.

Most Western-minded, proudly independent, 21st Century women would be insulted by this because they feel it patronises them; they can cross the street just as well as any man! I don't. I take it as a compliment that a man acts on his natural instinct to protect when he's with me. Some women, because of the aggressive vibe they give out quench this gentlemanly behaviour in guys, but I'd like to think it is because of my sweet, accommodating nature that men are willing to open doors or pull out chairs for me.

Now I know and they know that I can do these things for myself, but that's not the point. I'm a lover of classic literature like Pride and Prejudice because it describes a time when men were men and ladies behaved decently and were treated with care because they were the fairer sex. I am not insulted by this, and I believe that women that are have either been hurt by misogynistic men or were told that a woman is just as good as a man and doesn't need to be treated differently.

Well, its their loss. If a man wants to treat me nicely because I am a woman, let him. I know I am just as intelligent as he is, so why should his chivalry make me feel bad?

There's a difference between a man opening a door for you and a man not allowing you to speak in public. Women in certain Middle-Eastern or African countries have the right to demand more fairness because they are been oppressed, but I'm afraid if women get more fairness in the West they might stop having babies, because if men don't have to do it, why should we?!

So its obvious that I am not a feminist. I thank the Women's Movement for the vote, shattered glass-ceilings and the Pill, but it all spun out of control when:

Women Started Acting Like Men

Some women think that if a man can sleep with 300 women and be admired by his peers, why can't she sleep with 300 men and be equally respected? Well, umm, apart from this being a cry for help, nature discourages it. A man produces trillions of new sperm daily throughout his lifetime, whilst a woman is born with about 400 viable eggs, is able to fertilise only one a month, and then they run out when she's 45. Also, women tend to get pregnant after sex whilst men can walk away if they so wish, and the reproduction game is such that whilst a man shoots and deposits, a woman receives and incubates.

All this means that nature has given men the ease and biological efficiency to have sex-and-go a lot, whilst women have to deal with the palaver of periods, pregnancy and ticking biological clocks. It kinda seems as if 'Mother Nature' is a misogynistic man trying to ruin women's fun doesn't it?

Fact is women are BUILT differently from men and it is not everything they do that we should do. Those that want to out-earn, out-drink or out-burp men may feel emancipated now, but a wise man is not looking for a woman to compete with but a mate to build a life with, and a woman that uses her femininity to compliment a man will have a happier home.

Women Started Demeaning Men

I dislike watching adverts these days because of the trend for women to belittle men. Commercials like Windows 7's Family Photo is one that I actually switch channels to avoid watching. I just get angsty about seeing a woman say things to a man that will cause outrage if the tables were turned. Watch a round of adverts next time you're in front of the TV with this in mind, and you'll see stroppy, domineering women chastising gormless men for being inept. Its never the other way round. Because that would be sexist.

The funny thing is that ad executives are overwhelmingly male, so either they're being funny, or worried that if they don't toe the feminist line there would be backlash. It's probably the latter.

I was watching a show about weddings, where it is the norm for the bride-to-be to complain that the groom doesn't help enough etc and then a 'Fairy God-mother' is called to help. But one episode had a wealthy young man who was outspoken about the fact that he'll pay for the wedding, but the bride should make all the arrangements (he was American. I noticed that their adverts are fairer). The female voice-over and 'Fairy God-mother' were indignant: how dare he be so honest about his disinterest and put the bride in a bad light! Didn't he read the memo? Only the bride can complain; the man should just nod and apologise!

The gender role-reversal in the media probably reflects reality. Today most divorces are initiated by the woman who is encouraged to not put up with any dissent, I mean failings in a man. Of course I know that men can be *%*#*@*, but perhaps women don't try so hard anymore?

Women Started Saying They Didn't Need Men

I used to say this. Back when I was young and drunk on the feminist power Destiny's Child sung about. Sure women can and have raised babies who became well-adjusted adults without the help of men, but should they? It's fine if you have no choice, but to make a conscious decision that you want to raise your child without a father is like cutting your nose to spite your face. Children from such homes grow up with daddy issues because it was never supposed to be that way.

Women also say this to mean they can buy their own houses, cars, clothes, weaves, shoes etc without the help of men. That's fabulous. I'm sure the men are quite happy not to have to pay for all these things too. But I personally want my husband to take care of me and be the breadwinner, and thankfully I'm with a traditional Hausa man who feels that it is his responsibility to provide for his family.

So after we marry I'll take primary care of the children, (since they grew in my body for nine months and were then fed with my body-juice, it seems fair) cook, clean, work and help him be the best he can be, whilst he protects, provides, procures the bacon and loves and respects me as the superwoman-mother-wife-lady I am.
