FamilyRe: Steps In Getting Married by God2man(m): 8:55pm On Sep 11, 2012
@mrbrownjay, since you are not legally married, i think it is not logical to convince people that God should not be involved in an ancient institution called marriage, or are you an"ex"?.

The home is the foundation. The real home is built by man and woman join together in marriage. A strong nationhood is built in the home. The greatness of every nation begin at home. The home is the foundation of a great nation. When you do not have a home, ( it is not house, house is not the home, a big building does not make a home) a home where the character of the future leaders are formed by the parent in a godly way. If you do not have a home acording to my definition, then you need to have a re-think.

However, the enemy of the soul of a man, the devil hates Godly home with perfect hatred, he has worked really hard to the extent that marriage is becoming hell on earth, but that does not mean that there are no happy homes, many people are enjoying their union, while others are enduring it.

According to sagamite, we are limited, we are prone to error, we make mistakes. Working very hard is good, but that is not to say we will succeed. We need something extraordinary, and because the world is a mysterious place, we need a spiritual intervention in all our endeavours to succeed in life. This is the reason why we pray, we fast, we praise GOD, we are not the owner of this world, the creator, GOD has the whole world in his hand, and he can do whatever he likes with it. Through obedience and walking in his ways, we can always ask him to help us. GOD.

So, the truth is, we cannot hide our relationship from God, whether we bring God to it or we push him aside, he can see everything. He has already given us the inner police called conscience, we know the difference between good and bad, we know. We pretend that all is well, but the conscience will always come and say, do you think what you are doing is right? Of course, we will argue and get ahead anyway.

At the end of the day, we are going to bring all our relationship naked before him. Whether we like it or not.

God bless you.

Christianity EtcRe: How, Why Founder Of Rccg Woke Up From The Dead The First Time by God2man(m): 6:07pm On Sep 11, 2012
iReport: How, why founder of RCCG woke up from the dead the first time • Plus his last moment on earth, as revealed by his daughter
Saturday, March 28, 2009
Perhaps, not many people know that the founder of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Reverend Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, was the head of the prayer warriors of Cherubim and Seraphim, a white garment church; that when he died the first time, he had to be brought back to life by God to settle his scores with The Apostolic Faith after being shown his house in heaven. The life of this great man, who cut off from all family affairs towards the end of his life, is by no means full of mysteries as reflected in the spiritual growth of the church today.

https://odili.net/news/source/2009/mar/28/tribune/images/church.jpg
Mrs. Deborah Akindele, daughter of the

founder of The Redeemed Church

In this interview, the daughter of the founder, Mrs. Deborah Akindele, gives an insight into the private life of the man who founded the fastest growing church in Nigeria.

Insight into the family make-up.

My mother had eight children, with only three of us remaining now. That is Mrs. Titi Adewale, Mr. Ifeoluwa Akindayomi, and I. There are also two other surviving children, they are Mrs. Funlayo Olukowajo and Mr. Kolade Akindayomi.

Personal decision to become born-again?

As early as primary six, I was conscious of my parents as ministers of God. I joined the choir at 15. I answered the altar-call at age 20. Those days, when you responded to the altar-call, you pray very hard, plead for God's salvation. And you will know that something had happened to you, then you will begin to cry. That’s why they used to call us Church awon to Sunkun (Church of the Sobbers.) And from that point on, it will really be very hard for you to do ungodly things. You see, I used to be a very tough and hard youth. Now I have cut off old ways, now I am born-again, and now a pastor.

What roles did your mother play in the church?

Mama used to deliver pregnant members of the church, though she had no formal training as a midwife. I believe she was taught by the Holy Spirit. Mama Pupa (also called Mama Olu,) and others helped Mama during deliveries. Whenever delivery proved difficult, Baba would come and pray, and the delivery would come easily.

Mama taught us the way of the Lord. She discouraged us from anything that Baba did not like. Being members of the church has affected our life-styles. That is why we are all humble and contented.

Reactions when Papa left the old church?

Baba was the head of the Prayer Warriors: He was called Baba Tonriran (the one who could see visions.) He just prayed for people, and would not demand money. Even when you received miracles and bring him money, he still would not take it. There were both physical and spiritual reactions from members of the C&S church.

One day, when our mother was feeding my elder brother, Joshua, he suddenly stretched his body, and got very sick. It resulted in a mental imbalance that lasted till his death at the age of forty. Also there was money problem all the time. So Mama resorted to selling provisions. I would sell before going to school. And it was the money that I made that we would use for feeding. Food was eba everyday, without meat.

There was no money for birthday or Christmas dresses. But like Apostle Paul, we could handle both abundance and lack. Baba reluctantly agreed to build a house, saying his house was already in heaven.

How did Baba receive his call?

He was not comfortable with happenings in the old church, where people would go to the cemetery to pray, and do fetish things. God told Baba that the C&S church was only a stepping stone. That He was preparing a greater ministry for him. He had the message that he had to move forward. But the leaders of the C&S church resisted.

How did Baba get the name The Redeemed Christian Church of God?

After Baba formed his own church, he named it Egbe Ogo Oluwa (Ogo Oluwa Fellowship). Later, he renamed it The Apostolic Church, but members of The Apostolic Faith Church said he took their name. He wrote a tract under the name of The Apostolic Church, and The Apostolic Faith Church opposed it, and he had to burn the tracts. It was a bitter fight that the first time he died, God had to send him back to life. He said God showed him his house in heaven, and told him that though he had done almost everything required of him, he still had to come back to settle his old score. So he quickly went to reconcile with The Apostolic Faith Church. The name Redeemed Christian Church of God, came to Papa in a dream.

When he was sleeping, the name appeared to him on a blackboard. When he woke up, he wrote down the words. He even pronounced it when he was telling his pastors, though it was in English. He added that the Lord said He would provide all the needs of the church, and that He would meet the church when He came back.

Founder of The Redeemed Christian

Church of God, Rev. Josiah AkindayomiWhat kind of a father was Baba Akindayomi?

A disciplinarian. He was a no-nonsense man. When he is ready for church on Sunday, and you are not ready before he entered the car, you will have to find your way. And you must get to the church before him! and that included Mama. He used to cane people; his children, even members of the church, including pastors.

Anytime we were coming home from church, Baba would hide near the Casino Cinema to make sure we did not play away. Then he would just show up behind you. One day, I got into trouble with him after a fellow came to visit me during choir practice. I had to tell him not to come again after Baba caned me.

But Baba was also kind to his children. He really loved children. When I had my children, Baba would come to my house at 9, Willoughby Street. He lived at Mushin. He took my husband as a son. My daughter, Toyin, lived with Baba. We only brought her back for secondary school when it looked like Papa would spoil her. When I was working at Igbobi, Papa asked me to resign, and he opened a shop for me. When I was selling food, Baba would come to help me. When I told him not to do that, he would sit down, and say he didn’t mind if anybody saw him there.

What was Baba's attitude towards having boyfriends and how did you meet your husband?

My husband joined the church while he was living with his sister, Sister Alaba. He and I were in the choir with Sister Shade, now Mrs. Aderibigbe, and her husband, now Pastor Aderibigbe. When I went for choir practice, I don’t talk to people, because of Baba. But maybe my husband was noticing me. He may have told Sister Shade that he had an interest in me because one day, Sister Shade said I should come to her house. I got there and met Pastor Akindele! They served drinks and biscuit.

Pastor Akindele talked to me, but I didn’t give him an answer. But he kept on talking about it until after one year when I relented. Baba had already told us to marry only born-again Christians, and also to marry within the Church.

But it was difficult to tell Baba about marriage so I told my mother and Baba Segun, now Pastor Ademulegun, who was then a policeman. He helped us tell Baba. Baba did not agree immediately, but he later agreed.

What was Baba’s conduct towards the end of his life?

Baba was very much liked by ladies. Some would not even mind if they had no children for him. Towards the end of his life, Baba cut himself away from worldly affairs. He no longer got involved with family affairs, even though his children were living with him. And he made marriage restitution though it brought him problems. It was easy to do away with wives who had no children. But the one that had children, he told her to take anything she liked. He encouraged her to marry someone else. But he took care of all her children.

Pastor AdeboyePastor E.A. Adeboye’s succession as General Overseer?

Even at the beginning of the church, Baba had been making utterances that his successor had not come. He had said that his successor would be tall like him, and would even be able to wear the same size of his clothes. One day, Engineer Chris Fajemirokun, employer of then Brother Akindele my husband, brought Pastor Adeboye to church. After the service, Baba told Mama that his successor had come, even though he had not talked to him. The following Sunday, Baba told his pastors. When he told them, after service that day, Baba followed Pastor Adeboye home, as part of normal visitation to new comers. Pastor Adeboye was surprised. Later, he then sent for Pastor Adeboye, who was then afraid. Baba invited him to the house, and both of them went into Papa’s bedroom, and had long discussions, and Bible lessons together.

But when Baba finally told Pastor Adeboye that he would succeed him, Pastor Adeboye ran away to University of IIorin. Each time Baba told him about the succession, Pastor Adeboye would thought Baba was joking. On a trip to America, Baba asked those present to pray for Pastor Adeboye as his successor, but Pastor Adeboye was praying that God should make Baba to change his mind. But he finally accepted before Baba died.

Baba gave Pastor Adeboye one rod which he brought from Jerusalem, and he prayed for him. When Baba was about to die, he knew it, so he sent for Pastor Adeboye, who could not come due to some reasons. But Mummy GO (Mrs. Folu Adeboye) came, and was there when Baba died. But later my husband, handed over the papers and everything to him,

Changes introduced by Pastor Adeboye?

Pastor Adeboye introduced clapping, and serious dancing into the church. Baba would never allow it. Even though we danced, but not like it is today. Though the pastors and the older people resisted it, but the youth loved it.

MRbrownJAY: ^^^^ as i stated earlier, its all about peace of mind. so if you believe that you know everything you need to know about someone after 6 months, then marry them but IMHO, just to make sure, you should let it play out. i mean MARRIAGE is not going to run away from this world, so waiting cannot be hurtful to your r/ship...... or can it? so why the rush, unless you are desperate?! we all know that desperate people dont think rationally because they have an ulterior motive that will erase whatever common sense they may have. so if anyone feels that someone will get their bf/gf before them then it means that they were never meant to be with you.

as for you mentionning God on this matter, pls lets not start a whole new debate.....but keep God out of Marriage pls, as only the participant are to be blame for its failure or success NOT GOD!

forget about dating/marriage for a minute and then tell us all how a man should care for his immediate needs, if he cannot get a job?! traffic light begging maybe? highway robbery? 419? drug dealing?

lol, NL never fails on the comedy part......see this comedian bringing out all his tricks!
@mrbrownjay, pls sir, educate us on why God should be put aside when it comes to choosing your life partner and marriage.

I would like to learn from you sir.

Thanks.

FamilyI Loved Barack Just The Way He Was by God2man(op): 8:38pm On Sep 10, 2012
Mitchelle Obama: I loved barack just the way he was.

She made the following remarkable statement about her
husband:

"You see, even though back then barack was a senator and a presidential candidate...to me, he was still the guy who'd picked me up for our dates in a car that was so rusted out, I could actually see the pavement going by through a hole in the passenger side door...he was the guy whose proudest possession was a coffee table he'd found in a dumpster, and whose only pair of decent shoes was half a size too small.

And believe it or not, when we were first married, our combined monthly student loan bills were actually higher than our mortgage.

We were so young, so in love, and so in debt.

So when people ask me whether being in the White House has changed my husband, i can honestly say that when it comes to his character, and his heart, Barack obama is still the same man i fell in love with all those years ago.

He's the same man who started his career by turning down high paying jobs and and instead working in struggling neighborhoods where a steel plant had shut down, fighting to rebuild those communities and get folks back to work...because for Barack, success isn't about how much money you make,it's about the difference you make in people's lives.

He's the same man who when our girls were first born, would anxiously check their cribs every few minutes to ensure they were still breathing, proudly showing them off to everyone we knew.

That's the man who sits down with me and our girls for dinner nearly every night, patiently answering their questions about issues in the news, and strategizing about middle school friendships.

That's the man i see in those quiet moments late at night, hunched over his desk, poring over the letters people have sent him.

The letters from the father struggling to pay his bills...from the woman dying of cancer whose insurance company won't cover her care...from the young person with so much promise but so few opportunities.

I see the concern in his eyes...and I hear the determination in his voice as he tells me,"You won't believe what these folks are going through, michelle...it's not right.
We've got to keep working to fix this. We've got so much more to do"

I see how those stories-our collection of struggles and hopes and dreams-I see how that's what drives Barack Obama every single day.

And i didn't think it was possible, but today, I love my husband even more than i did four years ago....even more than i did 23 years ago, when we first met.

I love that he's never forgotten how he started."

The purpose of this thread is just to learn and also to become a better spouse.

God bless you.
As if that has ever stopped anyone.
@OP, just dont put yourself in any position that will make you venerable to be seduced or fall to fornication. If you have a GF, dont got to her house alone, go with a friend and make sure she does not come to your place late at night so she does not have the excuse of sleeping over
i think this is good.

You must make up your mind, be determine, then watch and pray for the grace.

Have you received the baptism of the holyghost? If yes, it will help your prayer life. Be busy with the things of God, but you have to be careful with the opposite sex.

Do not forget. Pray for the grace.

HumbledbYGrace: As I was watching a christian movie called "Fireproof" the was a song about love,I checked out the lyrics and came to realise that,I have never loved a man and I have never been loved in return.well the way love is defined in the bible.

"Love is not a fight"

Love is not a place
To come and go as we please
It's a house we enter in
And then commit to never leave
So lock the door behind you
Throw away the key
We'll work it out together
Let it bring us to our knees

Love is a shelter in a raging storm
Love is peace in the middle of a war
If we try to leave may God send angels to guard the door
No, love is not a fight but it's something worth fighting for

To some, love is a word that they can fall into
But when they're falling out
Keeping that word is hard to do

Love is a shelter in a raging storm
Love is peace in the middle of a war
If we try to leave may God send angels to guard the door
No, love is not a fight but it's something worth fighting for

Love will come to save us, if we'll only call
He will ask nothing from us, but demand we give our all

Love is a shelter in a raging storm
Love is peace in the middle of a war
If we try to leave may God send angels to guard the door
No, love is not a fight but it's something worth fighting for

I would fight for you, would you fight for me?
It's worth fighting for

Typical Nairalanders! I know my people and my people do not seem to know me. I won't be suprised, if people with 50 ID's come here and destroy the purpose of this thread, i won't be suprised. Already, the night i posted this thread was a night of serious spiritual battle for me, i was seriously attacked, but they have forgotten that 1 John 4:4 is in the Bible, and also issaiah 54:17 is still in the Bible. They will continue to fail, In Jesus name. Amen.

No church leader has the right to tell you who to marry. No. They could guide you, but to choose for you. A big No. This is the reason why i prayed.

Who mentioned dream? I never mentioned dream. It is a pity that you are turning this thread to another thing. Well, whosoever has an ear let him ear. I do not see what is wrong in telling God to guide you in the choice of who to marry? What is wrong in it? Is it bad to ask your creator to guide on who to marry? Is it bad?

Agreed, you have the intellect to choos the person you like, but you have forgotten that the heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked who can know it.

Presently, no marriage is without its challenges, we are not perfect. Your expectation that the person God has choosen for you will be perfect is a lie from the pit of hell. Do you think that after marriage you will just sit down and say oh! I am so lucky, God has given a wonderful wife, my mind is at rest. Then the marriage will crash, why? Because the devil will to try both of you. The devil hates Godly marriage with perfect hatred. The battle will increase, but if you are knowledgeable and prayerful, your marriage will be heaven on earth. This is the truth many christians are still battling with.

Again, how did God speak to me? For the third time, How many people here have fasted before? Do you think it easy to subject yourself to hunger for 3 days without food? Is it easy? I said i fasted for 3 days broke the fast and started again for another 3 days, people here are asking whether i am sure it was the sister name, or i am just attracted to her. It means you are not reading my post with an objective mind, you are reading the post with a mind of criticizing or condemning me. This is not how to learn and be wise.

Many of you here are yet to know what marriage really is, i doubt if there is anyone here who is legally married. I doubt.

God impressed on my heart, you will never believe, another leader told me the same thing, which i had already known before, you will still not believe. I never mentioned dream, even though i dreamt about her, people say i am misleading people with dream. Where do we go from here?

I am not here to force my exprience or my opinion on anybody, i think it is wise to learn from other people and use whatever you have learnt to perfect your mariiage, rather than condemning or criticizing an authenthic spiritual exprience.

@ claremont, you have forgotten that there is no atheist on nairaland, you know it and i know it.

I rest my case. All other questions will be dealt with as we move on to the part 2 of the write up.

I knew it. People will always disagree. Anyway, that is life.

Who established marriage? God. Again, Genesis 2:18 " And the Lord said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I- I- I- WILL MAKE HIM AN HELP MEET FOR HiM."

SO, why should God be put aside when it comes to choosing your life partner. Why?

Proverb 18:22 " whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord"
YES, you can decide to do whatever you like, it is up to you, it is your choice. Obama was lucky to have a good wife, clinton said, a great sense by obama to pick a girl in a car that was rusted out. I am not disputing it. Man is mysterious in nature. We are different. Some are highly intelligent, some are not that smart. At times, Our judgement in terms of decision making as to who to marry can put us in serious trouble. WHAT YOU WANT IS NOT WHAT YOU NEED. For example, you admire a beautiful sister in your church, but God said, you need a sister, who is not ugly but at the same time not so beautiful, averagely, so to say. God is saying that beautiful sister is a serpent under sheep cloth. You are saying the Bible says, 'he that findeth a wife' therefore, i do not need God to speak to me, i know what i am doing, like Samson in the Bible, i must marry her. Ah! AH! AH!, you are playing with fire. God is saying, i have a great sister for you, not perfect, but she will be a good wife. God is saying, i will make everything glorious, if you continue to obey me, after the marriage.

How did God speak to me? Infact, i do not know why it is a strange thing for God to speak people concerning marriage. Guys, IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL. How can the creator find it difficult to speak to the men he created. How? I want you to check out this thread on how God speaks:
www.nairaland.com/831812/how-god-speaks

God spoke to me by impressing the name of my wife in my heart. A great impression. It kept on resounding in my heart continually. I guess it was as a result of the fasting. The fasting really helped me.

As for where God did it for people in the Bible. If you can read the whole of Genesis chapter 24. It will answer your question. If you are not convince then wait for part 2.

This is a complex and difficult topic, i believed the best person to treat this topic properly should be somebody that has been in the school of marriage for at least a decade, an individual that has experienced the ups and downs in courtship before proceeding to the altar.

I don't even know where to start because the following relationship terms have caused heated controversy so much that many youths ended up more confused: dating, courtship, wedding, marriage.

The truth is, marriage is a vow, and those words called vows, that are read to the would be couples on the day of the wedding are just like covenant made between a man and a woman or an initiation into an unending relationship that only death can seperate them, not even infidelity or any other reason whatsoever. You may ask why? The reason is that the two people involve have made a promise or a pledge, termed vows, that they will be together until death do them part. Infidelity or unfaithfulnes is not an issue. So, it is a serious matter. It is a huge and necessary risk one has to take in life. It is as delicate as handling an egg. Once it is broken, the scar will never be removed. Then you start hearing my "ex".

When i wanted to get married, i made up mind my mind, i will only marry the person that God has chosen for me, no other person, except the one God has assigned for me. It was a tough decision. Hard, i mean very hard decision that came came with a lot of discouragement, test, trials and powerful temptaions from sisters. The Lord made it happen for me because i was desperate for the will of God, the resolution was, if i don't hear from God, i will not marry. God had to test me. What did he do? I prayed, i saw a sister, and i proceeded to inform the in the church, the sister was told, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a failure. I continued with my Job for 4 to 5 yrs, until the appointed time. As usual, i sought the face of God in 3 days fasting and prayers with vigils. The problem was that God was talking and i was not getting the sign, so, i thought, God was not speaking, i broke the fast to continue the next day, i started agian, after the sixth day. God spoke to me about my wife, it was a great experience, up till now, after ten years, i can never forget that divine ministration on my heart. Now, you may begin ask, how did the sister or my wife received her own conviction? She was also involve in prayer, God spoke to her, and she went on to inform the leader of the church, they called me and i responded in the affirmative. I have done my homework. The rest is history. The marriage is still wonderful by the GRACE OF GOD.

Now, why am i telling you my exprience? I am telling the christian singles that are still searching, that Good thing does not come easily, it takes time. Whichever way you look at it, you need GOD, when it comes to choosing a life partner.

Why do you want to marry? Is it because others are getting married and you are lagging behind? A big No. Are your parent pressurizing you? Do not allow them. Have you just graduated and you feel that the next thing to do is to wed. A big mistake.

First thing first, be happy that you are still single, i repeat, celebrate your time of single, it is the priviledge given to you by God. Why? You have enough time to get ready for the greatest event that is coming, YOUR MARRIAGE. It is time to PREPARE for marriage. What do you do?

Develop a good relatioonship with God. It is very vital because you will need God before your marriage and in your marriage. Not only that, marriage is an institution established by God. Without God, your preparation is zero as a christian single. Love God with passion, work for God, do the work of evangelism, give your money for the establishment of the kingdom of God on earth. While doing the will of God, you can be sure, you will be highly favoured.
Let's open the Book of all Books, the BIBLE, Proverb 18:22"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtain favour of the Lord"
So, when it comes to choosing a life partner, you need the favour of God. Do something for God today. It will go a long way. The same thing is applicable to the sisters.

Books,Books,Books. You have to read. Why do you have to read books on courthsip and marriage? You need to learn about this ancient institution called marriage. Learn from those people that have succeded in marriage. Examine their mistakes and errors. Work on these things. Be knowledgeable about what you are about to do. Read at least five books on courtship and marriage. You need knowledge to excel in marriage. Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge. You need a great deal of knowledge to stay together as husband and wife.

Again, i ask why marriage in the first place. The reason is to fulfill God's purpose for your life. God created marriage to meet needs. There is a gap that only your spouse can fill, Genesis 2:18" i will make him an help meet for him"

@op, are you ready to pray?
Marriage is a serious issue, i don't know why your people are pressurizing you, i think they should know better. Do not allow any Pastor to decide for you, when it comes to the issue of marriage. Your pastor will not be there, your aunt or parent will not be there.
Ha! If you can do 3 days fasting and prayer alone, crying to God for direction, it is more than that, the 3 days fasting and prayer will never go in vain.
YOU WILL HAVE PEACE IN YOUR HEART.

You are still single. You have time to prepare adequately for your marriage. Do not rush. Do not allow anybody to rush you. Are you happy with this man? Do you really love him? Remember, you are going to be with this man till death. It is such a huge risk. Pls, take your time.

God bless you.

CareerRe: 21 Ways Rich People Think Differently From Ordinary People by God2man(m): 8:31pm On Sep 05, 2012
maclatunji: 11. Average people believe the markets are driven by logic and strategy. Rich people know they're driven by emotion and greed.

Investing successfully in the stock market isn't just about a fancy math formula.

"The rich know that the primary emotions that drive financial markets are fear and greed, and they factor this into all trades and trends they observe," Siebold writes.

"This knowledge of human nature and its overlapping impact on trading give them strategic advantage in building greater wealth through leverage."

12. Average people live beyond their means.
Rich people live below theirs.

"Here's how to live below your means and tap into the secret wealthy people have used for centuries: Get rich so you can afford to," he writes.

"The rich live below their means, not because they're so savvy, but because they make so much money that they can afford to live like royalty while still having a king's ransom socked away for the future."

13. Average people teach their children how to survive. Rich people teach their kids to get rich.

Rich parents teach their kids from an early age about the world of "haves" and "have-nots," Siebold says. Even he admits many people have argued that he's supporting the idea of elitism.

He disagrees.

"[People] say parents are teaching their kids to look down on the masses because they're poor. This isn't true," he writes. "What they're teaching their kids is to see the world through the eyes of objective reality––the way society really is."

If children understand wealth early on, they'll be more likely to strive for it later in life.

14. Average people let money stress them out.
Rich people find peace of mind in wealth.

The reason wealthy people earn more wealth is that they're not afraid to admit that money can solve most problems, Siebold says.

"[The middle class] sees money as a never-ending necessary evil that must be endured as part of life. The world class sees money as the great liberator, and with enough of it, they are able to purchase financial peace of mind."

15. Average people would rather be entertained than educated.
Rich people would rather be educated than entertained.

While the rich don't put much stock in furthering wealth through formal education, they appreciate the power of learning long after college is over, Siebold says.

"Walk into a wealthy person's home and one of the first things you'll see is an extensive library of books they've used to educate themselves on how to become more successful," he writes.

"The middle class reads novels, tabloids and entertainment magazines."

16. Average people think rich people are snobs. Rich people just want to surround themselves with like-minded people.

The negative money mentality poisoning the middle class is what keeps the rich hanging out with the rich, he says.

"[Rich people] can't afford the messages of doom and gloom," he writes. "This is often misinterpreted by the masses as snobbery.

Labeling the world class as snobs is another way the middle class finds to feel better bout themselves and their chosen path of mediocrity."

17. Average people focus on saving.
Rich people focus on earning.

Siebold theorizes that the wealthy focus on what they'll gain by taking risks, rather than how to save what they have.

"The masses are so focused on clipping coupons and living frugally they miss major opportunities," he writes.

"Even in the midst of a cash flow crisis, the rich reject the nickle and dime thinking of the masses. They are the masters of focusing their mental energy where it belongs: on the big money."

18. Average people play it safe with money
. Rich people know when to take risks.

"Leverage is the watchword of the rich," Siebold writes.

"Every investor loses money on occasion, but the world class knows no matter what happens, they will aways be able to earn more."

19. Average people love to be comfortable. Rich people find comfort in uncertainty.

For the most part, it takes guts to take the risks necessary to make it as a millionaire––a challenge most middle class thinkers aren't comfortable living with.

"Physical, psychological, and emotional comfort is the primary goal of the middle class mindset," Siebold writes.

World class thinkers learn early on that becoming a millionaire isn't easy and the need for comfort can be devastating. They learn to be comfortable while operating in a state of ongoing uncertainty."

20. Average people never make the connection between money and health. Rich people know money can save your life.

While the middle class squabbles over the virtues of Obamacare and their company's health plan, the super wealthy are enrolled in a super elite "boutique medical care" association, Siebold says.

"They pay a substantial yearly membership fee that guarantees them 24-hour access to a private physician who only serves a small group of members," he writes.

"Some wealthy neighborhoods have implemented this strategy and even require the physician to live in the neighborhood."

21. Average people believe they must choose between a great family and being rich. Rich people know you can have it all.

The idea the wealth must come at the expense of family time is nothing but a "cop-out", Siebold says.

"The masses have been brainwashed to believe it's an either/or equation," he writes. "The rich know you can have anything you want if you approach the challenge with a mindset rooted in love and abundance."

From Steve Siebold, author of "How Rich People Think."

RomanceRe: The Fever Associated With Relationships By Ariyike Akinbobola by God2man(m): 7:45pm On Sep 05, 2012
joanana: The movie “Act Like a Lady, think Like a Man” inspires this article.

This one is mainly for the Ladies…

Any woman who thinks she can control a man by incorporating what she learnt from a book into her relationship might just be making a huge mistake. In a relationship, I believe the man is the head and the woman functions effectively as the neck. Now, while the head contains 80% of our senses, the neck controls the head. If the neck decides not to move, the function of the head would be limited. Ladies, learn how to be his neck.

Most of you would wonder how you can become the “neck”of your man. It’s as easy as ABC – Men love to be pampered. We gave birth to them…ergo, they are our ‘babies’ and they must be treated as such.

It’s absolutely necessary to make your man realise that you and him are a tag team. Don’t let him feel as if you’re against him. After all, it’s you and him against the world. You therefore need to work as a team to keep things rock solid.

One of the lessons I’ve learnt in marriage is that even when your belly is full and you feel you’ve had “enough” to eat, you still have to chew something called the “Humble Pie. Learn to say “I’m sorry” and “Thank you”. Its amazing how these small words can help us avoid the big fights. The little things, like courtesy, that we take for granted are actually very important to the other party.

People also need to realise that what works for “Miss A” may not necessarily work for “Miss B”. You need to adopt your own strategy in dealing with issues in your relationship, and these strategies would most likely change as the men come and go because no two men are the same.

There’s no hard and fast rule as to how long a man would stay with you based on strict conformity to certain guidelines or instructions from a Rule book. Why would you even allow a book dictate your next line of action in your relationship?

Whether you decide to release the “cookie” from the Cookie Jar on the first day or after a year, if he’s gonna leave you, he’ll still leave…

I know someone who’s married to a man she made out with on their first night out together – they’ve been married for 15years. I also know someone who kept the ‘cookie’ in the Cookie Jar for a year before she finally allowed him in, and guess what? The guy dumped her a month after she let him in. **I’m not telling you to copy anybody o**

Some relationship rule books would say “If he loves you, he should be the one that would always make the first call”. How can your man be the only one making the first call everyday? Does that even make any sense? If you follow them, your relationship will hit the rocks!

Ideally, I believe one of the secrets to a long lasting relationship is effective communication between both parties. You need to communicate constantly! If you have something to say to him, please say it and stop bottling it all inside. If you want to talk to him, you don’t have to wait for him to call, you can pick up your phone and call him.

Getting into a new relationship is like starting a new business – you’re not sure if it’s going to work out, so you can only hope for the best. It’s a risk you should be willing to take because it may (or may not) work out. If it doesn’t work out, then both parties can go their separate ways (hopefully, with no hard feelings). It’s very important to remember that both of you are from two different homes and if you want to make it work, you have to be ready to fully “accommodate” his character.

I had a conversation with a few friends about who should say “I love you” first. Most of them said they would never ever say it to a man first while a few said there was no big deal as to who said it first. That’s left for you to decide, it should be a personal thing! I hear there are some married couples that have never even said “I love you” to each other…. that’s really serious but it’s gist for another day.

When I was in school, I had this room mate called Bisi* who was dating one really quiet Chibuzor* guy that she was really crazy about. Bisi had no secret(s), she would sit us down in the room and tell us everything that was going on in her relationship. She always said she felt better every time she poured out her heart to People, and she really didn’t care who she was telling what. Some of our other room mates would go about gossiping about her and spreading her gist but I was wise enough to learn a thing or two from her.

One night after a long lingering kiss, Bisi looked Chibuzor straight in the eyes and said “I’m crazy about you and I love you very much”. She said she caught him off guards and he almost choked. He replied her by saying “I love you too”. After that day, he opened up to her in a whole new way and he would always tell her how much he loved her. He started expressing himself to her more than before and that even made them closer. Please, note that the fact that it worked for her doesn’t necessarily mean it would work for you o!

Someone once told me that one of her greatest regrets in life was the fact that she never replied her late fiancee every time he told her he loved her. She said she felt she would look ‘cheap’ if she said it back to him. Sadly, he died in her arms after a terrible asthma attack. As she watched him battle asthma, she kept screaming “I love you baby” until he took his last breath on earth. I believe he would have appreciated the words more if only she had told him while he was alive.

If you have a man, make sure you show him all the love you’ve got inside of you. Don’t hold back on anything. Make sure you give him all the support you can, talk to him nicely, tell him how you feel about him and how he makes you feel. If you miss him, let him know. Also, send him sweet messages. Don’t be known as the chic that sends texts or BBMs only when she needs something. Life is too short for you to hold so much inside, you need to let it out. One life to live baby, why live it hating on him all the time when you know you actually love him…

And if you’re about to get into a new relationship or you’re on the verge of mending an old one or even if you’re man-less at the moment…please remember one simple thing – there are no hard and fast rules. In fact, break all the so-called rules if you want, enjoy your life, just be happy.

Go out for a drink and chat with the girls sometimes; be approachable; smile; make friends; be positive; stop the constant shouting; maintain a cool voice; be well behaved; don’t be lousy; be confident and most importantly, be yourself and pray to God for your Prince Charming. Before you know it, you’ll be swimming in his pool of love.

Merely thinking about how to make a relationship work can make one feel feverish. It’s simply left for us to play it how we want to. So are you really going let the ‘fever’ hold you down and mess up your relationship? Or are you going to rise above the ‘fever’ and work on how to make your relationship successful? I would choose the latter.

Then again, the choice is yours….

However, i have experienced this before, the best thing to do is to pray to God for guidance, if the love is not there at first, God will give you the grace to love the person he has chosen for you. My sister, it is only God that can see the end from the beginning, i pray for you that your spiritual eyes be opened so that when you see a goldmine in a manger you will not reject it, but accept as God's will for your life.

Moreover, i congratulate you because you are still single, you have more than enough time to learn and prepare adequately for marriage. Besides, How many books have you read about courtship and marriage? I would like you to go to any christian bookshop and buy at least 5 books on christian marriage. It will go a long way to assist you in chosen the best partner.

God bless you.
The 13 Keys To True Happiness

True happiness is easy to achieve if you have the happy things that matter in your life. If you’re confused about what happiness truly means to you, fret not, because it’s really simple. All you need are these 13 happy things.
Make a checklist of these 13 happy things, and tick them off when you feel like you’ve achieved them.
And for the first time in your life, you’ll know what it takes to truly feel happiness, inside and everywhere around you!

#1 A loving family/partner. Having someone to love you unconditionally and loving them back unconditionally in return plays a big part in your happiness. It gives more meaning to your life because you have someone to share every moment of your existence with.
As humans, we have an innate need to feel loved and desired. And just having someone to share your life with can give you a lot of happiness and fulfillment. After all, love does make everything in life more meaningful and special.

#2 A satisfying job. In our society, what you do at work defines you as a person. So do you like what you do? If the one trait that defines who you as a person doesn’t make you happy, can you ever achieve true happiness through that job?
Do you really like your job, or are you working only for the money it gives you? You spend a big part of your life working, so try to ensure that you love what you do to earn a living, and that’ll ensure that your life will be full of excitement and fun.

#3 A few good friends. You don’t need many friends to be happy. You just need a handful of friends that you can trust and spend time with. Can you count your true friends on your fingertips? In your pursuit of better things, don’t overlook true friendships. Having a few good friends to talk over the phone or spend an occasional evening with can make you feel more positive and happy.
And even if you’re in a perfect relationship with your lover, both of you need to spend time away from each other now and then to grow as individuals and retain your own lives. [Read:

#4 A hobby or a passion. One of the happy things that can give you a sense of achievement and personal satisfaction is your hobby. If you don’t have a hobby, get one, be it fixing a car or gardening or getting more informed about an interesting subject. A passionate hobby will give you more confidence and build your interest in things that are beyond your immediate needs.

#5 A good night’s sleep. A good night’s sleep is one of those overlooked things that can wreak havoc in your life, personal and professional. Sleep could seem overrated, but when you get less sleep, you’d be more sluggish and slow, and your mind would work slower than other days. And let’s not forget about how grumpy you’d feel all day.
Make sure you get at least seven to eight hours of sleep every day. You’ll wake up feeling fresh and excited to face the happy day ahead of you.

#6 An occasional adventure or vacation. Don’t ever let your life stagnate. Try at least one new thing every week or go to one new place you haven’t been to before every now and then. As hard as you slave away your life for a better future, your life will still feel the same unless you look for ways to keep your life exciting all the time.
Happiness never sprouts overnight. Start working towards happiness right now, or you’ll never have a happy life even when you reach your perceived milestones.

#7 A sustainable income. Money is not overrated. Without money, a lot of things you want to indulge in may be out of your reach. But at the same time, money isn’t everything too. Money is just worthless paper if all you do is let it accumulate in the bank.
The value of money is best experienced when you spend it now and then. Don’t idle your life, and ensure that you have a sustainable income at all times. Feeling rich is a state of mind. When you feel like you’re earning enough to have a happy life, your outlook towards life will start to get more positive and happier.

#8 Goals. Without a purpose or a goal, we’re just animals that exist with no purpose. As humans, we’re constantly looking for a purpose for everything, be it our origins or what happens after our end. But in between all that time, constantly create goals, small ones and big ones. And work towards it with dedication.
Each time you achieve a goal, you’ll feel a lot better about yourself and your life will feel more focused and adventurous.

#9 Exercise. As difficult as stretching your legs or getting your heart racing while doing a cardio workout may seem, a good workout can change you for the better within a few months.
Working out regularly fills your body with happy hormones and makes you feel good from the inside. And on the outside, you’d look a lot better and your clothes will look a lot sexier too. And most importantly, making the effort to work out regularly will give you a sense of accomplishment and increase your determination in life.

HumbledbYGrace: Its my best song ever by Jesus Culture

I can hear the footsteps of my King
I can hear His heartbeat beckoning
In my darkness He has set me free
And now I hear the Spirit calling me

Wake up child
It's your time to shine
You were born for such a time as this

I can hear a holy rumbling
I've begun to preach another King
Loosing chains and breaking down the walls
I want to hear the Father when He calls

This is the anthem of our generation
Here we are God, shake our nation
All we need is Your love
You captivate me

I am royalty
I have destiny
I have been set free
I'm gonna shape history

RomanceRe: Does Being A Good Person Really Pay Off? by God2man(m): 7:51pm On Aug 30, 2012
Nobody is really good, except God. God will send down his rain on the wicked man and the good man. Can we do that?

Man is wicked, we only do good because we know that there is going to be a pay back day. If we can see that nothing will come out of our kindness, we may not do it.

Also, We can pretend to be good by helping people that appreciate the goodness we extend to them. There are some people that are ingrate, they will never appreciate whatever you do to them. If we can tolerate the unloveables, then i will say we are doing good in the real sense of the word, but if we only do good to those people that will repay us back then our kindness is questionable.

Generally, whatever we sow, we shall reap. Whatever we do today will go a long way from
generation to generation. The bottomline do good and expect no return. If you are expecting reward as a result of the goodness you have done, you will be making a serious mistakes. How God will pay you back, you may never know until one day, you suddenly realize that you have achieved a lot. Then you become a suprise to yourself.

God bless you.

Christianity EtcThe Vision Of A Man Of God by God2man(op): 6:33pm On Aug 29, 2012
Recently, A man of God had a vision where God told him that he is angry with Pastors, and God gave him the following reasons;

1. Pastors are preaching crossless gospel, the message that does not cost anybody anything, just come, the gospel that does not affect the way you dress, talk. Some are still masturbating and harbouring girlfriends. They are never serious with anything. If you take sacrifice from the Gospel, it becomes empty.

2. Pastors have produced christians who are not interested in going to heaven. There are churches that nobody talks about heaven, all you hear is, receive it, prophecy is taking place. John 14:2" In my Father's House are many mansions: if it were not so, i would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you"
Heaven is a prepare place for prepare people. The place is prepared but the people are not prepared.

3. Pastors are no longer preching messages that will transform life. They can never cry for their sins, the only time they cry is when there is no Money.

4. Pastors are producing christians who are not interested in winning souls. There is no more altar call Some churches.

I believed this vision, if you have any contrary opinion, share. What is the solution to this problem?

God bless you.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Things You Should Never Do At Your Work Place by God2man(m): 10:54am On Aug 29, 2012
acidtalk: THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER DO AT YOUR WORK PLACE.

* Never get to talk about your colleagues to fellow colleagues especially what you can't say openly. It has no other word but you being a GOSSIP. Those same people you gossip with are most likely going to tell others what you said and how you are such a bad gossip.

* Avoid lending money or other items from colleagues. Its better to look outside for your financial, fashion and other needs rather than looking for your helpers within the office environment. You always lose respect from colleagues when you take your needs to them.

* Avoid discussing your family, emotional, financial and general problems with colleagues. In the office place, there is always something to be said and the day the office lacks gist, a secret shared with a colleague might just pop-up to be the discussion of that day.

* Never talk evil about your bosses, colleagues and job. The office setting is like a jungle. It is always survival of the fittest. A colleague who is the bosses' enemy today can turn around and seel you out to gain favours from the boss and remain in their good books.

* Never buy things all for the purpose of impressing your colleagues. While you are busy doing fashion competition with your fellow colleagues, always remember that your days to exit their company is drawing near. Either through retirement, retrenchment, resignation or even sack, one day you will have to leave that company. So rather than waste of frivolous items to create a 'fake personality', try to have savings to help you out during raining days.

* Don't always offer to pay for meals and other items for your colleagues when you go outing. Since you all collect salary, then don't make it a point of duty to always pay for colleagues. If you do it consistently just to create a 'nice personality' image, it will be taken personal by colleagues when you try to stop.

* Let your colleagues know your turnoffs. In as much as you should avoid quarrels, confrontation and malice at the office, it is always good to point out to colleagues when they do anything to you that you aren't happy with. Let people know when they are crossing the line of familiarity.

* Never be too dependent on a colleague. If you have a colleague who has a car while you don't have one and go your direction, don't always make it a point of duty to follow them every single day of the week. You get a salary and part of the expenses you need to incur is yours transportation so don't be too miserly. Even though the need to save is understandable, don't make anyone believe they are doing you a huge favour. There's nothing wrong if you decide to take public transport even while your colleague is heading towards your direction. That way they will not only respect you, but also realize you can do without their favours.

* Where and How one finds love is something that can never be predicted. But if you can totally avoid having a relationship or falling inlove with a colleague then the better for you. It saves you from subject of office gossip, uneceassry pressure, fake life, self denial and a lot of other vices associated with dating a colleague at the office.
