You mean to tell me the woman heard so much about Nigeria to an extent she was able to single out a tribe but she never heard about Nigeria romance scam and cocaine business. You are indeed a very foolish Igbo with this propaganda you intend selling on NL.

Beside how many countries have you traveled to? I have been to over 5 countries in the world n in each I see Africans with different cluster communities. You see igbo Yoruba Ivoriens n those from Congos all having their separate communities from Europe to Asia.
I really don't engage in arguments with people who are not able to make their opinions without adding insults. it shows the kind of homes they come from.
So, check the next door.
Maybe if you read my post again, this time around with a little understanding, I bet you would be ashamed of what you wrote up there.

Igbos are the only people that declare their tribe even before you enquire about it, anywhere they find themselves.

I've traveled to many countries of the world, and I can tell you that there are many people in many countries who don't know anything about Nigeria, but they know many things about Igbos.

I remember discussing with a lady in a German restaurant. When she asked me where I came from, I told her I'm from Nigeria and she said 'ok'.

We continued our discussion on a normal level until when my phone rang, I picked the call, it was from Mom, and I had to talk in my language.

When I finished talking with mom on phone, the lady asked me 'what language is that, I thought you said you're from Nigeria?'

'That's Igbo language. I'm from Igbo' I told her. Immediately she jumped up with great excitement and gave me a hug that lasted for over five seconds.

It was then she started telling me stories she had heard over the years about the Igbos. She never really bothered to know from which country the Igbos come from. All she had ever known is that the Igbos are great people.

May God bless anybody who gives directly to the needy.

For those that decided to donate to the government, all I can say to you is,
thank you for supporting corruption.

As corrupt as The FG is, some people still went ahead and donated billions to
them just to have their names published in news papers; even when they know
that their donations would end up in the pockets of very few corruption ridden politicians.

In order words, none of the beneficiaries would get anything near 5000 naira, since having 5k would automatically make them super Rich.
Pets / Re: Do Dogs See Spirits And Witches? by Goddyj(m): 6:22pm On Apr 14, 2020
I don't know about dogs being able to see spirits. But I know that dogs are able to read the kind of person you are by just looking at your face.
I remember visiting an old friend in their family home sometime ago.
Immediately we entered the compound, my dog started barking and threatening my friend's younger brother.
Out of over nine people that were in that compound, the dog only focused on him. Even when he decided to leave the compound, the dog still followed him, barking.
It was later I was told that a house in the neighborhood was attacked by armed robbers few days ago.

I decided in my mind that this boy knows something about that robbery judging by the way the dog was 'treating' him.

To cut the story short, few weeks later the boy was arrested along side other boys as the people who carried out that robbery.
He and his gang admitted to have committed the crime!

patriotic007:
This covid 19 pandemic issue in Nigeria is not clear to me
1)Why is it that politician are the ones bringing out the figures? At least we should be briefed by a well known doctor on what they are going through, the dangers health workers are passing through in attending to this large numbers of allegedly infected people,And what they need in order to perform their duties.
2)Why is it that no single clip or pics of this covid-19 patients on sick beds or ICU beds has surfaced on the media space in Nigeria, the way we see it on CNN and other foreign media instead of showing us chats of yellow green and red.
3)Where are the dead covid-19 patients buried? And. Why don't they show their remains been moved from the hospital like we see in other countries that really have this covid-19.
4)Why do some states have the same figure of infected people for more than a week now?does it mean that the first case didn't interact with anyone at all.?
5)Why haven't we heard of a single health worker been infected yet in Nigeria with our weak health care system and insufficient protective kits,or is it not the health workers taking care of the large figures of infected people?
Your points are very valid.
The truth remains that there's something fishy about our country's COVID-19 Issue

I only pity those that were expecting anything meaningful from this government, because the disappointment is going to be heart breaking grin

Politics / Re: Akwa Ibom Is The Cleanest State - Clean-Up Nigeria Says by Goddyj(m): 8:04pm On Apr 03, 2020
ChaoHendrix:
Akwa Ibom is the most underrated state in Nigeria..
Though its' government is bedeviled by corrupt practices just like every other state in Nigeria, they've had the best and most sensitive government..
When it comes to good roods,no state can compare with Akwa Ibom and every street,I mean every street gets swept every morning..
The only problem is electricity..
While some areas have steady power supply, some hardly see light...
All in all, I love my State..
I'm from Akwa Ibom, but I will rather say things the way there are.
Akwa Ibom is not the cleanest State in Nigeria.
If you live in Uyo, you may be tempted to believe it is.
But for people like us whose businesses take round the State almost on a daily basis know better.
Out of the three major cities in the State, it's only Uyo that has a functional waste disposal management. Ikot Ekpene, Eket, and other local Government Areas dump all their refuse in the gutter, thereby making sure that there's no functional drainage systems.
And when it rains, those refuse are scattered all over the roads and streets.
And please, it's only in Uyo that roads are swept sometimes; not every morning.

Politics / Re: Reps To FG: Direct DSTV, Others To Implement Pay-As-You-Go Tariff by Goddyj(m): 7:14am On Mar 18, 2020
I'm a fan of PAYG services. But truthfully, asking a Satellite TV provider to implement PAYG in a country where there's in no power is just the same as asking him to close shop.

Let me use my self as an example; For the past 21 days I've not met light in my house. When I come back from work every evening, neighbours would inform me that there was light during the day. This also apply to majority of Nigerians.

So for the past three weeks, I can tell you that my TV set has only been turned on about three times, which happened to be on Sundays

In a situation like this, there's no way the operator would not close business in a matter of months.

You know this is not like GSM, which once you charge your phone, you can use it for a long while without necessarily needing a steady power supply.

I've never heard of seen anywhere in sane societies where terrorists who wiped out many families and sent generations to their early graves are being rewarded and pampered like heroes. This is a big wickedness against the hundreds of thousands whose lives and properties have been wasted by Boko Haram.

It shall never be well with any man or woman who has a hand in this madness. Their generations will never know peace.

I've never really subscribed to shouting during prayers.

I remember one day in church, prayers were declared. During the prayer session, an usher tapped my shoulder and asked me 'Brother why are u not praying?'

Of course I was praying; but obviously, he expected me to be shaking my head violently, or probably jumping around the whole places as many other people around me were doing.
