Before now, getting a neighbour's gas cylinder to complete cooking when running out of yours was not a problem but the experience yesterday showed that every man on his own now in this country. I approached 5 neighbours and none was willing to help out, all due to hardship and high cost of cooking gas.
So as things are like this in the country today, everybody is looking for ways to survive. If it's hard on those who are working and earning handsomely, how much more of those earning pennies and those who are even job hunting like myself?
As a job seeker in this economy that is tearing body and soul apart, I decided to plan ahead of time by using my last money to cook beans that could take me for days
Wrong kind of beans.
The beans I bought turned out to be the type that doesn't get softened easily on cooking. After cooking it for about 45 mins, it was still very strong and here, my gas finished. Too bad. I thought i was still having plenty gas in the cylinder.
The beginning of more wahala for me.
As gas finished, who is going to bail me out? In this hard economy that is biting harder by the day? Where everybody holds their cylinder so precious due to N1400/kg.
As I wasn't with any money again to buy even half KG, I went round the compound asking for who can borrow me his/her cylinder to complete the cooking. At the end, nobody came to my rescue. Everybody was claiming gas is too expensive to be given out like that.
I looked up, it was far and down, it was close. What else should I do? Friends were also complaining of no money to borrow me.
What happened to my beans, my only hope for the week?
I had these two coconut in the house. I brought it out and looked for a buyer. Luckily I saw who was interested and bought the two for N700.
A sigh for relief That was how I was able to go refill half KG of gas and that helped me finish cooking the stubborn beans. I pray I will never get to buy that kind of hard beans again. Gas is expensive and so beans should consider that and done very fast.
Something for pocket How i wished i sold the coconut more than that amount for something to remain in my pocket, or possibly bought the gas for a lesser amount to remain small something for pocket.
Why am I telling the story? To share with you to know what I'm passing through, same thing most Nigerians are going through too. Times are hard! Really hard for most Nigerians. The present hardship is nothing but killing. God help us.
1. The modern marriage system is high-risk, low-reward for men.
2. Lower that risk by refusing to get into a 3-way contract with the government, a contract designed to screw men over in the name of getting married.
There are alternative arrangements with lower risks and higher rewards.
That’s all.

The benefits doesn't apply to both sexes because u women birth kids u believe u have more rights over...u just treat the man as an ATM..claiming he got u pregnant as if u never wanted the child.... ..and once there is fight, u runaway with the kids like it's yours alone... Yet u expect him alone to be responsible for u and the kids like u said earlier...as if u did him a favour birthing the kids.....so he must pay..
. I don't usually get this part....if u don't have a husband won't u cook?? Won't u take care of ur house?? ..madam cooking is not a benefit in marriage ...there are foods everywhere to buy..sweet food sef...better than what some wife can cook...

the reality is that men who marry LIABILITY type of women take a risk. YES; men who marry useless lazy good for nothing women take a risk, YES; men who marry yeye women that bring absolutely nothing (but warm coochie) to the table take a risk, YES.... but to claim that all married men do not benefit from marriage because of these yeye deluded men who jump into marriage blindly, is far fetched
The facts will not magically transform to fit your narrative.

MrBrownJay1: FIXED remember, these guys need COMMITMENT/SECURITY/LEGACY etc in their lives. something that we dont get in long term r/ships. these issue may not be important TO YOU, but they are a deal breaker to these guys, furthermore, they can minimize the risk of hiccups with prenups or creating a trust/LLC owning all your assets before marriage.
as for the gov being in your business, today whether married or living together as a couple, the gov is always in your business.
You can have a solid long term relationship with a solid woman without involving the government in your business.

Man102: Presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, has accused former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, of depleting the country’s foreign reserve.
In an interview with TVC, Ngelale alleged that Emefiele took major financial decisions without the approval of former president Muhammadu Buhari.
He noted that expenses from the foreign reserve, reaching billions of dollars, were not approved by the former president.
The president’s spokesperson said that the CBN governor was in charge of most of the apex bank’s operations and also served as the chairman of the bank’s board of directors.
“What was done concerning the expenditure of billions of dollars from the foreign reserves was done largely without the approval or knowledge of President Muhammad Buhari and President Bola Tinubu,” Ngelale said.
“Yes, that might seem hard for some people to believe, but I want to explain how that could have happened.
“We have one of the few Central Banks in the world where the day-to-day CEO was the governor of the Central Bank and was also the chairman of the board of directors. He was essentially overseeing himself,” he added.
Emefiele is currently being prosecuted for alleged procurement fraud and forgery of ex-president Buhari’s signature.

So I went to see one of my real guy who was just called to bar, I saw him sitting under their car tent in their compound, smoking cigarettes and sipping alcohol so I joined him and we started talking about big plans and real life matters.
As we were talking, a stunning beautiful dark skinned young lady walked out from their house and was leaving. I almost wanted to run after her to toast and collect her number instantly. I was like guyyyy you didn’t tell me you had a stunning sister like this, why u dey hide ur sister frm us nw? abi shey u wan marry ur sister, you knw all these guys talk na,,,,, Then he said she’s not his sister that she is his elder brother’s knack mate and business partner. I was shocked and confused.
Then he began to play me the girl’s tape. He said the girl is a banker, she’s a cooperate marketer in a bank, you know all these bank marketing work and meeting up with target bullshit.. she was able to convince my guy’s elder brother to deposit N5 million and they also agreed to knack. I was just short of words… who knows she might even have a serious boyfriend?
My guy even said he was inside the house before he came outside to smoke cigarettes becus the girl was moaning so loud like a witch and he was having unnecessary erection and was also distracted from what he was doing so he have to come outside 😂😂😂…. and if u see their house na correct duplex. My guy even say I fit knack her too if I wan make deposit with her bank… omo I just weak.
Do we still have genuine decent beautiful girls in this country?
Nursepepeye: that grandmother is a very wicked fellow, she doesn't have capacity to take care of her but she declined help coming her way, if she doesn't trust people fine but when it comes to public opinion, she suppose give it a chance, now that she has been molested under her watch, she's happy now
