PoliticsRe: Saturday Sun Reports: Gani Long Overdue For Nobel Peace Prize. What Say You? by GODSON2009(m): 11:34pm On Sep 13, 2009
while i also agree gani qualifies for a nobel peace prize"on paper"in the real sense of it,his main appeal doesnt transcend nigeria,maybe west africa,the nobel selection has political undertones hence as to appeal to a broad spectrum,how many north africans know who gani is or how many americans e.t.c
however him not getting a nobel peace prize does not diminish his works and achievements and sacrifices one bit,and i belief that is the way most of us will remember him

this thread really made my day,considering this same issue has been weighing on my mind since the 26th of august when i came back from holidaying in nigeria,i got told severally about this same china venture and i couldnt believe how far people have gone economically and financially in nigeria,i stayed almost a week in ibadan and i was being driven around in a luxury 4x4 yet i did not hear or experience any armed robbery on the scale that is being touted before one travels,same for lagos all through my stay, while the western world has its advantages in terms of the quality of life and a prompt and efficient way of doing things,the fact of the matter is that a developing economy with its many disadvantages,insecurity and what have you is still a better and viable option,i am working towards a financial target cash at hand in a nigerian bank by the end of next year,and if the lord helps me in achieving it,then im picking up my bags,shipping all my bits and bobs,and moving to nigeria, ill be going back in december and making up my mind to go every three months by GOD's grace

@jesoul
ill strongly and earnestly advice you to withdraw your comment about calling the man dancing a clown,in case you dont realise, the only woman that died barren in the bible was david's wife micah the daughter of saul for making the same comments you have just made, the man is claiming his manifold blessings for dancing like david danced
Christianity EtcRe: Must Pastors Accept Cash Payment After Preaching in another Church? by GODSON2009(m): 10:55pm On Sep 13, 2009

i dont know which pastors or man or woman of GOD you have been listening to,but speaking of redeemed church a visiting man of GOD is not required to collect any payment(known as honorarium)some members and churches show appreciation and he/she will gladly collect any amount given him,people who are mostly given honorarium are evangelists,because it is a full time job and they have to often travel to all sorts of places hence they need the money for their upkeep and ministry logistics.if you check the visiting ministers rarely will you see the pastor of a church being given honorarium,they come as guests or friend of the house and the pastor being visited returns the favour as well

the reason some people call people out to give different amounts is just to offset the bills of the church that invited them,most times and i mean 9 out of 10 times they only raise the money and the church puts it back in the church purse,it is part of this money that will be used in clearing the expenses for the programme,giving honorarium e.t.c
