Mehn Kelly at the Top hit it all....When you arrive you should be thinking of doing all registrations and of course extending your visa,passing your exams.

No regret in Choosing Germany,For student life is very very cheap.You can always plan road trip in Germany every weekend if you like traveling...You can always visit student cities where you can meet other students of different nationalities..You could partake in sport activities,There are some cultural programs like TANDEM.


You cant compare Germany to UK,I jex dont it like cos life is a lil bit expensive for students in the UK.

You can always travel on bus to other countries from Germany at a cheaper rate.....for me Germany is sweet and oH yeah im missing home.

so far you maintain your student status you can always Get rebate on everything you doing like Train ticket,flights,bus and more...

But with the life here,Night life and so on,Many students get distracted and drop out of school,of course you might be thinking of doing business but to me school cos once you dont come to class,Your school will report to the Auslander Behorde.



Actually i would disagree with Someone presenting 8k euro yearly before getting visa renewed but sometimes in Germany,Different state with different rules,s for Bayern Munich,I would say Nope cos i was there Recently.But Health Insurance is very important...Ranges from 80 euro -120 euro depending on your University state.

You pay tution fee up to 500euro in Bayern and lower Saxony i think while places like Nordhein,westphalia,Rhine Palatinate and more is free tution but you might have to pay student contribution fee which is 200 Euro.

So when looking for admission you need to acquire more info before choosing the Uni.

BUT THEY WILL GIVE YOU SCRIPTS TO GO LEARN ON YOUR OWN. BUT UK TEACHES FINE COS U ARE PAYING HUGE FEE. OTHERS IN GERMAN ABEG NA SO OR ABI NA ONLY MY SCHOOL?

EVERY MONTH THEY AUTOMATICALLY DEBIT UR ACCOUNT WITH 80 EUROS FOR HEALTH INSURANCE WEDA U SICK OR NOT. ITS A LAW IN GERMANY. BUT TOPE PAYS LESS AT 33 EURO OR SO YOU CAN CONFIRM FROM HIM. MY FOREIGNERS OFFICE HERE DEMANDS THE ONE OF 80 EUROS SO I COULDN'T GO FOR CHEAP ONE LIKE TOPE.

ACCOMMODATION ARE EXPENSIVE. I AM AMONG THOSE PAYING THE CHEAPEST 254 PER MONTH BUT IN BERLIN IS CHEAPER AT ABOUT 200.

RESIDENCE PERMIT

TO RENEW YOUR RESIDENCE PERMIT, THE LAW HAS CHANGED NOW, YOU WILL NEED 8K EUROS IN YOUR ACCOUNT YEARLY. BUT IF YOU HAVE SPONSORSHIP LETTER FROM GERMAN CITIZEN, THEN THAT'S ACCEPTABLE. UNLIKE BEFORE ONCE U SHOW UR JOB CONTRACT, U DON NEED TO SHOW 8K AGAIN. THEY SENT OUR GUYS IN 200 LEVEL HERE LETTER TO GET READY FOR THE 8K COS THEIR PERMIT WILL EXPIRE NEXT MONTH. NA THEN I KNOW SAY THE NEW LAW SERIOUS DIE.

CONCLUSION
GERMANY IS OK BUT IS GOOD YOU FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE CITY YOU ARE GOING AND PLS LEARN THE LANGUAGE COS WHEN YOU COME HERE WITHOUT BASIC LANGUAGE, U WONT FIND IT FUNNY AT ALL. BYE I HAVE TO JACK COS I STILL GET ONE PAPER TO WRITE.

Lol its been a while,were you not the guy asking about NPC on the other thread?Have you gotten your admission and everything?

For your Round trip budget 20k....

Do not travel down to Ghana alone but travel with a reliable transport company like ABC.

They help you with immigration wahala and your ticket with them is just 16k or so for round ticket.

You can even spend a night at their station and the bus got toilet and you will be served at least breakfast and Lunch,Entertainment like TV and very spacious seats.


BUT IF YOU DO NOT HAVE DOCUMENTS

I will advice you to stay away cos its not easy traveling without documents.You might be expose to danger and entering Ghana without documents can be frustrating.
