You’re a very confused. Nigeria is not a Capitalist Economy.

Stop arguing blindly...

Ostensibly it is an economic system built on capitalism, but corruption is an overriding factor. According to the country’s National Bureau of Statistics, Nigerians on average pay six bribes per year to public officials. That amounted to $4.6 billion in 2016, the equivalent of 39 percent of the country’s federal and state budgets for education.

Nigerians rarely report bribery solicitations and payments as they have little faith in the ability or willingness of the authorities to crack down on bribery. It is a systemic problem and part and parcel to how the economy works.

I understand that you are very patriotic Nigeria but let’s call a spade a spade Okay !

If you think that Nigeria is a Capitalist Economy then you are very wrong.

Maybe you need to update your knowledge on the definition of a Capitalist Economy.

Right now, you don’t have an idea what you’re talking about.

You should rather educate yourself more and detail the characteristics of capitistic economy...

Nigeria is not a Capitalist Economy.

Nigeria is a Mixed Economy.

Stop peddling false information...

Forms of Economy Institutionally

Nigeria is a Capitalist economy with free market. It is either you get rich or you die trying. In this kinda of society, Its citizen get less or almost no attention and required support from its government.Such system can also be considered an individualistic System.Example is the united state of America or many of these African countries.

Socio-Economy Government

Germany,France,Finland,Sweden and many other developed western Europe practise what is called,Collectivistic. Its citizen tend to enjoy many benefits ranging from Gender equality, free Education, free Health care,High infrastructure,Responsible government providing for its citizens and you tend not to huzzle too much before you get the taste of quality of life.

In Western Europe its difficult to become a millionaire because even your million will be taxed.Income taxes are way so high.

In countries like Nigeria or America, If you channel your energy towards money and you strive strategically towards goal,It might be easy for you to become a millionaire.

So classifying peoples Income Class could be either you are super rich ,middle class or extremely poor(Lowest Class). In Nigeria we only have people that are either rich or poor with little percentage of middle class. In western Europe nobody is poor..(Welfare for all).

Now what is the definition of poverty,This simply means that many people lack Basic Amenities and the extremely poor people live below 1$ per day.

Basic Amenities: Stable electricity,Equality,Functioning Legal system,Standard Education, Infrastructure, Free Health care or sound one at least,Security,Access to subsidised public transport.

I think if Nigerian government can provide its citizen all of the above mentioned points, then we all are gonna stay back home.

Argument Between life in Nigeria and any western countries.

Only a stupid person will come up with the assumption that he or she travelled out of Nigeria because there is no money in Nigeria.See my Fellow Brethren,The money Otedola or his likes are having out there is never gonna be easy to get, in Countries like Usa, Uk or Germany etc Unless you engage yourself in Illegal activities.I hate it when Nigerians tell me that they emigrated from the country because no money. What do u mean by no money when you can easily do Yahoo, drugs, participate in Corruption or other illegal activities.Even if you want to climb through legit means in Nigeria still its easier cos you can easily build a small kiosk and start business but at Silicon Valley its either you have inherited some bunch of Dollars or you able to convince those Ventured Capitalist.

Now,Those that makes sense more are the one that are so smart and were able to detect the fault in the country called Nigeria and they left legally. The fault means no Basics Amenities, Irresponsible government. These ones tend to complain less and appreciate white Man land,WHY ?? They got no worries about those Bills. They got so much patience to further education and build a new life...(Advantage to you more,if you still got good age and not 60 yrs before detecting error)

The Reason why many Nigerians in Diaspora bad mouth a White Man land is this….They never thought that they are gonna make money and pay necessary bills,They thought that once that pay check drops its over.Once you do not mix the concept of migration up and you are able to define your purpose of leaving your country, I think you are good to go.

Those that belong to becoming Otedola abroad always end up selling drugs, involving in criminal activities and las las incarcerated.Very easy now to get track down and put behind bars cos of technological Advancement. If you wanna migrate for a good life,I wish you good luck and plan well.If you wanna get rich quick also,Think twice about it.

PS: I live in Germany and have been to so many countries and can easily internally analyse many of them for ya.

No Place like home though.....

It is not only Third mainland Bridge that has been a spot for suicide but many lonely bridges...The same goes to the Golden gate bridge in California.I once also experienced one at the Eko Bridge in Idumota. She got out the wema bank, Her account balance was empty and she was lonely and depressed.

It is only Citizens that could help themselves,The only solution is this,Once anybody notice someone wandering and loitering around in a lonely place like third mainland Bridge,Approach them with love and try to talk to them.

If you travel out of Nigeria with a Tourist visa which also is a Non Immigrant Visa.I am only going to assume that your cousin filling for you,Means that he is gonna generate a Invitation letter for you.

Okay the main fact is that Immigration laws are getting stricter than never,So if you stayed back leaving your wife and kid in Nigeria...Are you ready to emotionally bear the pain of being away from your family? Its take rigorous route to get a legal stay after sneaking in Illegally.I think it would be better for you to invest in business in Nigeria and legally start travelling abroad.

After the expiration of your visiting visa,You automatically gonna be an illegal alien in the foreign land and automatically expose to deportation.

Education / Re: What Is The Best Course To Study As A Science Student.? by Godson201333(m): 8:45am On May 23, 2018
rxmusa:
INSIGHTFUL OBSERVER says:
Every profession is important and needed by the society. The choice of course to study is usually motivated by several factors, of all the reasons, job security is by far the most regarded yardstick in making a career choice.

PHARMACY
Pharmacy is a course that deals with the art and science of drug knowledge in all its aspects and ramifications, ranging from drug discovery, drug use, pharmacotherapy, toxicology and a host of other aspects.

This is a course that can be pursued by a science student for the benefits that come with studying it. These benefits include:

1. Job Security
Pharmacy is a course that guarantees Job, either self-employment or civil service. Considering the Nigerian situation, most people are after what will offer them food on the table.
There isn't sufficient number of Pharmacists to cater for the Nigerian population, could you imagine as of 2010, there was only one Indigene Pharmacist from Zamfara state and one Pharmacy in Jigawa state despite the numerous opportunities.

2. Service to humanity
There is no greater joy than helping people, it gets back to someone in different ways.

3. In-study Financial opportunities
As a pharmacy student, one is eligible for oil scholarships such as Chevron, NNPC/TOTAL, AGBAMI, SHELL, SABF that usually give amount ranging from N100,000, N150,000 to N200,000 and you can get more than one, though now they're mostly restricting a person to only one.

If you are from states like Jigawa, Kaduna, Adamawa, Zamfara, Kebbi, Gombe, Taraba and Bauchi. You'll be bonded with the state government and they'll be paying you monthly salary of different amount ranging from N27,000 to N48,000 which should be enough to help sustain you.

4. Nobility and Prestige
Pharmacy is a noble course, being a Pharmacist comes with prestige and nobility, it commands respect and admiration.

I'm proud to be a Pharmacist

It is disgrace to be a Pharmacist in Nigeria.I do not even like this your own idea or point ...How can we have so many Pharmacists in Nigeria and yet the society consume imported drugs??

One of the limitations in my findings especially Africa is the limitation of a credit card system. Credit cards are good if used for business purposes.
A friend got a €40000 credit limit for a 36 month duration in Finland. Imagine if it was available here in Nigeria.
We are still a long way to go though an Australian man told me there are ways of tapping into the US credit card system from anywhere worldwide.

Many stuff remain unrealistic in Nigeria and in the entire Kingdom of Africa. So you want Nigerians to start using credit card so that can use their dubious altitude to runaway with funds.Nigeria still have a long way to go..Have you ever asked yourself why we only receive foreign funds but cant really send out?

well this is a nice post and I guess every sane person that live abroad would always meditate about life back home but I do not advise anybody to give up his or her own identity. You can get American passport or whatever passport you want but please don't get provoked with how backward NIgeria is right now.I think the only thing Nigeria society lay more emphasis on is MONEY.If you see someone living abroad and he or she is complaining, its simply because of greed. There is always a huge difference between having access to basic amenities and being rich at the same time poor. Buhari for example remain a poor man cos he need to always travel down to London for medical check up.

MrBrownJay1:
a stingy person is someone who is careful with money, who knows the value of money, and most importantly, how hard it is to make money (thus they dont squander it on BS).

sadly, the majority of people in Nigeria who call others stingy have absolutely no money to call their own, and are usually the one begging that same "stingy" person for handouts etc (or expect him to spend frivolously on them).

Well intelligently said,Sometimes being Stingy doesn't really mean he is not nice and not willing to help.Just like you said,He knows the Value of money and doesn't squander it on BS.It mean he knows how to manage his resources,If you worth giving the money and would use it for a reasonable thing, then thats okay.Would you call me a stingy person if i decline giving you money to buy condom, Beer, Cigarette ,f**kn prostitute? The other day a good friend of mine told me to buy him game Pad.
