Manila and Philippines is nice not because im biased, im now practicing in singapore because i can earn here more and i always go back to philippines like every 3 months because its so nice there, majority of the people are courteous and friendly. Every country has its own pride and downside as well. Like here in Singapore which is very nice place and very clean and very safe but many Singaporeans are not so happy because of very stressful life, i guess visiting Philipppines wont be a bad idea. Im going back there with Singaporean friends this August 1-12 must know where to go and u will surely love it. thanks

A positive twist in the Save-OJB campaign implies that ailing producer, OJB Jezreel’s life may no longer be in danger, writes CHUX OHAI

A timely donation of $100,000 to the OJB Fund Raising Committee by Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State may have guaranteed the much-needed kidney transplant and treatment to save the life of ailing music producer and songwriter, Babatunde Okungbowa, aka OJB Jezreel, anytime from now.

Announcing this development on his Twitter handle on Wednesday night, the head of the committee, Muyiwa Oshinuga, aka Nomoreloss, tweeted: “We have on record that the Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, has approved the sum of $100,000 to be handed to #OJB on Friday.”

Governor Amaechi’s kind gesture finally ended several weeks of anxiety for the relatives, fans, friends, colleagues and well wishers of OJB Jezreel, who have been involved in a campaign to raise funds for his treatment. About N15m was required to cover the expenses for his treatment.

Also, the donation may have put paid to the controversy that had previously sneaked in on Nomoreloss and his team of fundraisers and consequently, threatened the progress of the Save-OJB campaign.

Irritated by reports about cash donations presumed to have been made by some A-list artistes, Nomoreloss had virtually been at his wit’s end to check possible moves by unscrupulous individuals to exploit the situation to their selfish ends.

In an interview with a popular entertainment magazine in Lagos, the musician noted that the activities of these individuals and others, who peddled false figures to give the impression that his committee had accomplished its task, almost affected the campaign.

When asked if he was involved in a musical show organised by a group of people allegedly to raise funds for Jezreel’s kidney transplant, he replied, “I wasn’t involved in it, so whatever show that anybody is organising, they are organising for themselves. You ask simple questions, how do you hope to remit funds to the person, you don’t get an answer. Obviously, there’s some scam going on there and I am not going to be a part of that.”

Just when Nomoreloss was expecting a positive turn in the campaign to save OJB, a comment posted on Instagram by Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim, seemed to throw a spanner in the works.

Worried by insinuations that celebrities, especially top flight music artistes whom OJB Jezreel had helped to rise to stardom, were not giving enough financial support to the campaign to save the producer’s life, Ibrahim wondered why the committee was insisting on the sum of $100,000 for his treatment.

The actress, who runs a kidney foundation in Ghana, had said that a kidney transplant did not cost more than $50,000 and that there were cheaper alternatives. She urged members of the fundraising committee, reach out to the right people and to ‘stop harassing’ celebrities for funds.

But OJB responded to Ibrahim’s posting in an interview with a Lagos-based gossip magazine. “The procedure itself is $55,000. When you take out $55,000, you are left with $45,000. What about the running cost of the procedure? You don’t go to India only to come back and ask for help again. At least, I need some money to maintain myself for the next one year. So, when you factor in all these costs, add air tickets and lodging, you will appreciate what we are talking about,” he was quoted as saying.

Now that there will be no need for further controversy, Nigerians can heave a sigh of relief and wish the ailing producer the best in the days ahead.

ABUJA, July 4 (Xinhua) --The China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation(CCECC) on Thursday officially flagged off the track laying of the Abuja to Kaduna railway modernization project in Nigeria, raising hope that the construction will be completed in due time.

The ongoing project is part of the transformation agenda of Nigeria's government to commence the massive reactivation and revitalization of the country's railway system, according to Vice President Namadi Sambo, who officially flagged off the track laying in Idu, site of the railway project in Abuja.

Sambo commended the CCECC, foreign contractors of the railway project, for working assiduously day and night to see to the completion of the railway construction, which serves as infrastructure build-up of the government's transformation agenda.

"I am, therefore, highly delighted to perform the official commencement of the track laying for the Abuja (Idu) to Kaduna railway modernization project which signifies the final critical aspect towards completion of this segment of rail modernization in Nigeria,"the vice president enthused.

He said President Goodluck Jonathan, who has proposed a state visit to China next week, is expected to discuss with the Chinese government's possible sourcing of concessionary l oans to guarantee funding the final execution of the project because execution of the contract had initially suffered a setback owing to pausity of funds.

That, according to the vice president, was why the project was later programmed for execution in phases so as to ensure a sustained funding arrangement in line with the yearly budgetary allocation and concessionary loans.

Also speaking at the ceremony, Nigeria's Minister of Transport Umar Idris said earthworks for the project was almost completed, at 92percent, while hydraulic structure shad also attained 87percent completion.

"Out of the 24 railway bridges to be constructed, 17 have been completed to substructure level while substructure work on the remaining seven are at various levels of completion. Four out of five box bridges have been completed while the remaining one is ongoing, "he added, noting 187 out of the 348 precast T-beams for the bridges had been produced, from which 52 had been success fully installed, among others.

The overall physical completion level so far recorded on the project is 68percent, according to Idris.

On his own part, Managing Director of CCECC in Nigeria, Shi Hongbing said the construction firm did not just handle the project as contractors, but also as investors in the west African country.

"And for this project, until today, we've employed more than 4,000 Nigerian staff during our construction time. In the recent future, after the completion and full operation of the project, more than 5,000 Nigerian staff will be trained and employed for this project, "he added

Please i need help and advice on this issue. i want to apply for MSc program in Germany. the problem is, my Weac result has three names "Abumere Hope Efe", but my BSc result, transcript, and Certificate has only two names Abumere Efe, and my NYSC Cert, has two name Abumere Efe, my Passport has three names Abumere Hope Efe. when i got admission into University i only use two names, Abumere Efe, and i didn't include "Hope" i am confused, i dont know if i can use it to apply to any program i Germany, and if it will also affect my visa application, please i need advice.

Yes it will affect your visa application because all names need to correspond,I dont know but affidavit could work for you.

Once you applied to any school in Germany,Your information remains in their computer!So same thing applies to Uni assist,Once you send them your documents,It does not take much time before they evaluate and get back to you.After their evaluation,They will tell you that they need something else or forward your documents to the University.To now answer your question,They will evaluate once and but you need to use seperate documents for different universities.Your fee is non refundable should one document be missing,They will ask you to send before deadline if not you missed the chance.It is always better to apply earlier because Its like rush hour for many applicants when sending your documents during late.
