21 Father, baptize every participant at Shiloh 2025 with the Spirit of grace, that will cause each one to Break New Grounds
*Gen. 41:38-39* 38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

*26* Father, show yourself strong and mighty in the lives of all participants at Shiloh 2025, both at Canaanland and in all our viewing centers across the nations of the earth
*Zeph. 3:17* The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

*27* Father, let every form of ‘grave’ holding your people hostage be opened at Shiloh 2025
*Ezek. 37:12* Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

*For the Commission*

*28* Father, through the enduement of power at Shiloh 2025, launch this Commission into higher realms of global impact
*Gen. 22:16-18* 16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;
18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

*Gen, 1:28* And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

*31* Father, let every barrier on the path of this Commission be crushed, as you launch her into new realms of exploits at Shiloh 2025
*Isa. 45:1-3* Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
2 I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

*32* Father, let Shiloh 2025, *Breaking New Grounds* be a platform for the rise of giants in this commission

*35* Father, by your Spirit, empower your servant and other ministers for maximum impact throughout Shiloh 2025
*2 Cor. 3:6* Who also hath made us able ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

His road to stardom mirrors that of many in the entertainment industry. They are handed nothing but disappointments, yet their faith in GOD gave them a path out of conditions many wouldn't survive.

"I did a lot of odd jobs; worked at pure water companies, I did Kaya, hawked pure water, hawked plantain, packed dirty, and iron condemned.
I also worked with some importer and exporter to offload containers full of London used goods at Alaba international market- Ojo, Lagos,
Finally I decided to commit myself to music"

A major inspiration to Obus Okukubor's music aspirations when he first arrived Lagos was Felix Ejoor of blessed memory, his Aunty's son, popularly known as Feco G, who headlined a lot of concerts around Ojo, Alaba, Iyana Cele and many more surrounding locations. "He was a superstar. They called him Feco G, but his real name was Felix Ejoor."

PoliticsBank Foils Unlawful Disruption Linked To Chronic Debtor Brendan Usoro by Godspowerpro(op): 1:53pm On Oct 09, 2025
Abuja
• Swiftly Restores Normal Operations

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Normal operations quickly resumed at a Sterling Bank branch in Abuja’s Central Business District on Wednesday after a group of protesters, allegedly acting on behalf of Dr. Brendan Innocent Usoro and his company, Miden Systems Limited, attempted to obstruct the bank’s activities.

The demonstrators, who claimed to represent a coalition of civil society organizations, reportedly blocked access to the bank’s premises while chanting and distributing petitions containing what the bank described as “false allegations” regarding a long-standing debt dispute.

According to Sterling Bank, the protest was an unlawful attempt to mislead the public and pressure the institution into abandoning a case that has already been conclusively determined by multiple court rulings.

Security operatives promptly dispersed the group, and the bank confirmed that no harm was done to customers, staff, or property.

“This reckless and contemptuous behavior by individuals citing Dr. Usoro’s Miden Systems as their motivation is a direct affront to the rule of law,” said Michael Boniface, Chief Security Officer of Sterling Bank. “The bank has maintained restraint despite repeated provocation and will once again escalate this violation to law enforcement for investigation and prosecution.”

Sterling Bank noted that it had previously petitioned the Inspector-General of Police, providing what it called “comprehensive evidence” of Miden Systems’ alleged pattern of deceit, defiance of court orders, and deliberate misinformation.

The dispute stems from a vessel lease facility originally granted to Miden Systems and later restructured multiple times following defaults in repayment.

In 2021, the Federal High Court granted a Mareva injunction against Dr. Usoro and Miden Systems, followed by a consent judgment affirming their indebtedness. That judgment was reaffirmed in November 2024 when the court dismissed Miden Systems’ application to overturn it, labeling the move “an abuse of court process.”

Despite these clear judicial pronouncements, Sterling Bank said Dr. Usoro and his company have continued to evade lawful enforcement through “smear campaigns, false publications, and politically motivated petitions.”

The bank further recalled a February 2025 Federal High Court ruling which restrained the House of Representatives from “harassing or intimidating” Sterling Bank over the same matter — a judgment that reaffirmed the constitutional separation of powers and barred the legislature or any private entity from revisiting issues already settled by competent courts.

“The Bank has consistently relied on lawful processes and will continue to do so,” Boniface reiterated. “Integrity, discipline, and respect for judicial authority remain the pillars of our institution. We will continue to defend our reputation and protect our employees, customers, and investors from those who weaponize falsehood to obstruct justice.”

Sterling Bank reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, ethical conduct, and sustainable business practices, while pledging to cooperate fully with law enforcement to ensure accountability and uphold the integrity of Nigeria’s financial system.

Ondo Police Arrest and Remand Three for Violent Assault on Officers — CP Lawal Issues Stern Warning

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Operatives of the Ondo State Police command has arrested three suspects over brutal assault on police officers performing their lawful duties around the Ijapo Estate of the state.

In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Command's Spokesperson, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka Olushola stated that, "The Ondo State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that on 5th October, 2025, at about 1700 hours, a distress call was received by the Ijapo Divisional Headquarters from a commercial motorcyclist (popularly known as Okada), reporting that police officers attached to Ijapo Estate were being violently attacked by a group of unidentified men."

According to the statement, "In swift response, operatives from the Division and the patrol team were immediately mobilized to the scene. Despite initial resistance, the operatives, with the support of well-meaning residents, brought the situation under control and arrested three suspects identified as Odimgbe Blessing, Fred (surname unknown), and Odimgbe Stanley."

"At the station, the suspects became violent, exhibiting behavior suggesting the influence of hard drugs. To maintain order and ensure proper investigation, they were transferred to the Anti-Cultism Unit for close monitoring. Preliminary findings, supported by video evidence, confirmed a brutal assault on police officers performing lawful duties. Consequently, the suspects have been charged to court and remanded in custody pending further hearing."

"The Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, CP Adebowale Lawal, condemned the unprovoked assault on police personnel, describing it as a grave affront to constituted authority and a criminal act that will not be tolerated. He issued a stern warning that anyone found attacking, obstructing, or intimidating police officers in the discharge of their lawful duties will face the full weight of the law."

"CP Lawal reaffirmed his commitment to professional and accountable policing, emphasizing that any officer who violates citizens’ rights or engages in misconduct will face appropriate disciplinary action. He reiterated that respect for human rights and the rule of law remains central to policing under his leadership."

"The Commissioner also expressed profound appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D., NPM, for his visionary leadership and continuous support, which have greatly strengthened policing standards and boosted public confidence in the Force. He noted that the IGP’s emphasis on discipline, intelligence-led operations, and community partnership continues to inspire the Command’s successes across Ondo State."

"CP Adebowale Lawal urged residents to remain law-abiding and cooperate with the police by providing credible information that will assist in crime prevention and the protection of lives and property across the state."

PoliticsLASTMA Mayors: Pioneering Civic Synergy In Lagos Traffic Governance by Godspowerpro(op): 11:53pm On Oct 03, 2025
LASTMA MEDIA MAYORS: PIONEERING A NEW EPOCH OF CIVIC SYNERGY IN LAGOS TRAFFIC GOVERNANCE.

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD
.

By Adebayo Taofiq

Lagos, the pulsating nucleus of Africa’s urban civilization, is a metropolis in perpetual motion. Home to over twenty-two million souls, it is often celebrated as a city that never sleeps. Its labyrinthine highways, elevated flyovers, and teeming commercial corridors are incessantly animated by a kaleidoscopic array of vehicles, pedestrians, and entrepreneurial activity. This relentless dynamism forms both the bedrock of Nigeria’s economic engine and the recurrent ordeal of urban gridlock, daily testing the patience and resilience of its citizens.

Orchestrating order within this complex mesh of human and vehicular movement is no trifling task. It demands not only discipline, fortitude, and dexterity but also innovation, adaptability, and a pervasive culture of civic responsibility. For decades, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has borne the herculean responsibility of supervising this formidable traffic ecosystem. Its officers, instantly recognizable in their mustard-yellow uniforms, have become emblematic custodians of order amid the city’s often chaotic thoroughfares.

Yet, as Lagos expands inexorably and vehicular volumes surge beyond projected thresholds, the Agency’s mandate becomes progressively daunting. Enforcement alone, no matter how rigorous, can no longer suffice. It is within this context that the General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, unveiled a pioneering and visionary initiative: the establishment of LASTMA Media Mayors.

Far from being ceremonial or symbolic, these Media Mayors constitute a newly inducted cadre of civic ambassadors entrusted with amplifying LASTMA’s communications, supporting the Agency’s personnel in operational endeavors, and functioning as a responsive conduit between the motoring populace and the Authority. Launched with considerable fanfare at LASTMA Headquarters in Oshodi, the initiative has been heralded as a transformative milestone in Nigeria’s urban transportation narrative. Beneath the pomp of the occasion, however, lies an onerous responsibility, meticulously articulated by Bakare-Oki himself and solemnly entrusted to these new stewards of civic partnership.

LASTMA’s Mandate and the Reformist Vision of Bakare-Oki
Since its inception, LASTMA has stood as the principal custodian of traffic governance in Lagos, mandated to facilitate seamless vehicular flow, enforce regulatory compliance, and safeguard public roadways. The Authority has thus become one of the most visible instruments of Lagos State’s public service architecture. Like any dynamic institution, however, its effectiveness is contingent upon visionary leadership and the embrace of progressive innovations.

Under the stewardship of Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, LASTMA has undergone a veritable renaissance. A reform-minded technocrat with an unyielding vision, Bakare-Oki has implemented measures that transcend traditional traffic enforcement paradigms. Notably, the inauguration of the Agency's toll free hotline (080000527862) and the deployment of drone technology for real-time traffic surveillance an unprecedented initiative in Lagos has revolutionized the monitoring, analysis, and management of congestion. His tenure has also witnessed an intensification of advocacy campaigns, enhanced officer training, and a substantial deepening of community engagement.

Bakare-Oki’s insight lies in recognizing that technology and enforcement, though indispensable, are insufficient to fully address the unique complexities of Lagos traffic. Equally vital is social capital—the power of communication, persuasion, and citizen participation. It is this understanding that precipitated the conception of the LASTMA Media Mayors.

The genesis of the Media Mayors emanates from a profound observation: the culture of traffic compliance is shaped less by statute than by perception, information dissemination, and collective behavioral norms. In an era dominated by instantaneous communication via social media, radio, television, and community networks, the influence of trusted communicators and opinion leaders is paramount in molding civic conduct.

LASTMA discerned that to deepen public compliance and broaden cooperative engagement, it required a new class of advocates individuals capable of operating outside the rigidity of uniformed enforcement while bearing the moral authority of civic ambassadors. These are not ordinary citizens but esteemed voices with the ability to amplify the Agency’s policies, educate the populace, and transmit authentic feedback from the grassroots.

Consequently, the Media Mayors were inaugurated not as substitutes for uniformed officers, but as complementary agents, bridging the interface between the Agency and the millions of Lagosians whose lives are shaped daily by the ebb and flow of urban traffic.

In his keynote address at the induction ceremony, Bakare-Oki outlined, with deliberate precision, the duties incumbent upon the Media Mayors. He emphasized that these are not discretionary obligations but solemn responsibilities essential to the success of this civic experiment.
a). Advocacy and Public Enlightenment
The foremost responsibility is traffic advocacy. Leveraging their platforms whether through social media, radio broadcasts, community forums, or market sensitizations the Mayors are tasked with amplifying LASTMA’s voice. Their mission is to embed the principles of road safety, voluntary compliance, and respect for traffic regulations into the very fabric of Lagosian life.
b). Feedback and Grassroots Intelligence
Perhaps the most revolutionary role of the Media Mayors is their function as a feedback mechanism. Acting as the “eyes and ears” of the Agency within communities, they are to gather public concerns, commendations, and complaints, providing LASTMA with actionable grassroots intelligence. This two-way communication transforms the Agency into a more adaptive, responsive institution, where policy formulation is informed by lived realities rather than purely top-down directives.
c). Community Engagement
The Mayors are expected to embed themselves within the social fabric of Lagos, engaging markets, religious institutions, transport unions, and youth organizations. By doing so, they domesticate LASTMA’s campaigns, ensuring that traffic awareness transcends billboards and jingles to become a shared, community-owned creed.
d). Ambassadorship of LASTMA’s Image
Beyond communication, the Mayors must personify LASTMA’s values of professionalism, integrity, and service. Their comportment—both on the roads and in public engagements—must reflect discipline and responsibility, thereby serving as living exemplars of the civic culture LASTMA seeks to instill.
e). Support During Peak Traffic Periods
During high-traffic seasons, such as festive holidays, major events, and the Ember Months, the Media Mayors will bolster LASTMA’s advocacy efforts through roadshows, town hall engagements, and broadcast programs.
Their involvement aims to reinforce the imperative of safe driving, reducing accidents and safeguarding lives.

A recurring emphasis in Bakare-Oki’s remarks was that the Media Mayors are not substitutes for uniformed officers. The men and women in yellow remain the backbone of traffic enforcement, stationed across intersections and thoroughfares, enduring sweltering heat and torrential rains to maintain order.
Rather, the Mayors act as partners in persuasion, mitigating the friction between enforcement and compliance. In a metropolis where motorists may perceive traffic officers as punitive rather than preventive, the Media Mayors humanize LASTMA, reframing it as a collaborative ally.
Through explanation, mediation, and narrative storytelling, they foster voluntary compliance the most sustainable form of civic order.

Perhaps the most transformative feature of the Media Mayors initiative is the formalization of feedback as a strategic policy instrument. Historically, public agencies in Nigeria have struggled to institutionalize genuine two-way communication, with sporadic reports and bureaucratic delays often undermining citizen input.
The Media Mayors rectify this by collating public sentiments, identifying recurring bottlenecks, and highlighting innovative community-driven suggestions. This living reservoir of civic intelligence enables LASTMA to recalibrate policies, optimize operations, and target advocacy with precision.
Intersections identified as persistent choke points can receive targeted interventions, while public confusion over traffic regulations can be mitigated through bespoke campaigns. In this sense, the Mayors evolved from communicators to co-creators of policy outcomes.

Towards a New Civic Culture
Analysts posit that the initiative could recalibrate Lagosian civic consciousness in profound ways:
From Enforcement to Cooperation – Transforming traffic governance from a battleground between motorists and officers into a shared civic responsibility.

A Data-Driven LASTMA – Structured feedback loops will render the Agency more responsive, intelligence-led, and adaptive.
Enhanced Public Trust – By humanizing LASTMA through relatable emissaries, voluntary compliance rooted in trust rather than coercion becomes attainable.

Voices at the induction ceremony extolled the initiative. One newly inducted Mayor described the role as “a civic priesthood, mediating between the imperatives of law and the lived realities of the people.” Transportation analysts lauded the Agency for embracing participatory governance, noting that global megacities thrive in traffic management only when citizens are actively engaged in shaping policy. Ordinary Lagosians expressed cautious optimism, appreciating the Mayors’ potential to clarify regulations and bridge understanding between the public and enforcement officers.

Conclusion: Cultivating a Shared Civic Order
The induction of the LASTMA Media Mayors transcends administrative innovation; it is a bold experiment in democratic civic partnership. It embodies Bakare-Oki’s conviction that the future of Lagos traffic management lies not solely in technology or enforcement but in the synergy of law, advocacy, and citizen participation.

By entrusting the Media Mayors with dual responsibilities of advocacy and feedback, LASTMA has effectively democratized traffic governance, sowing the seeds of a collective civic order. The initiative underscores a timeless truth: road safety is not the burden of uniformed officers alone but a shared societal creed.

As these civic stewards embark upon their mandate, Lagosians will watch attentively not merely to witness how they amplify LASTMA’s voice, but how they embody its vision of a safer, more disciplined, and harmonious metropolis. Should this initiative flourish, it may well serve as a model for other Nigerian cities and a global exemplar of urban civic partnership in traffic governance.

PoliticsNigeria At 65: Students Urge President Tinubu, Governors To Prioritize Teachers by Godspowerpro(op):
Nigeria At 65: TPHS School Students Urge President Tinubu, Governors To Prioritize Teachers' Welfare, Educating Out-Of-School Children

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

As Nigeria marks her 65th Independence anniversary, pupils of the The President Height Schools, (TPHS) has join millions of compatriots in celebrating Nigeria’s resilience, creativity and enduring spirit, citing that the sheer resilience of the teeming population and vast potentials of its youths as key components of the country’s greatness for the years ahead.

Meanwhile, the students of TPHS Schools have urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the 36 state Governors to prioritize teachers welfare as a way of making the country's education tower high among the rest of the world. They lamented the low pay, lack of health insurance policy, low retirement benefits that accrue to teachers both at the public and private schools. They hinted that this is one of the reasons that the current generation believes that education is a scam and that the teaching profession cannot attract the best brains.

The students made the appeal during the celebrations of the country's 65th Independence anniversary held at the school premises on Tuesday 30th September, 2025 where all the students were dressed in Green White Green Attires while each students held the Nigeria's flag in their hands to show patriotism.

The school administrator, Abayomi Oyelami highlighted the importance of policy formulation and entrenching sustained efforts as a way to improve Nigeria's education across all levels. He encouraged the schoolchildren to show interest in national issues and think of ways that they can participate in shaping and influencing policies for socioeconomic development.

His speech was followed by the school's 65th commemorative Independence Anniversary plenary moderated by Amadi Samuel of JSS 1 Class and Ajibade Peter in SSS 1 with fellow students as speakers including Eneh Favour - JSS 3, Emmanuella Balogun - JSS 2, Eneh David - JSS 2, Marvelous Nwachukwu of JSS 2, Olowolafe Iyanu in JSS 2, Ajibade Naomi of JSS 2, David Anderson in SSS 1, Prince Monday in JSS 2, Hyacinth Testimony in JSS 1, Ugbo Samuel of JSS 3, and Ekundayo Anuoluwapo of JSS 3.

The schoolchildren highlighted the importance of prioritizing teachers welfare citing that the teachers of today ought to be better than those of yesteryears because of the availability of cutting edge technology and other materials available.

However, the teachers are demoralized due to low pay, lack of health insurance policy, low retirement benefits, and other incentives which could make them excited about the noble profession.

Many individuals are abandoning the profession for other lucrative businesses while those who stay are seeking greener pastures overseas through the current japa syndrome.

Thus, teachers both at the public and private school are not giving their best. Some teachers are rather found using abusive words, foul language, and resorting to search engines and AI tools like ChatGPT alone instead of reading books, researching relevant materials, and thinking how to bring the knowledge in a simple format for the children.

They also encouraged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the 36 state Governors to make the primary and secondary education free in order to reduce the burden of out-of-school children in the country. 'Education development is a shared responsibility, we encourage parents to play their primary roles in raising their children rather than going out to register for special centers or aid exams malpractices, and teachers should continue to give their best, while the government makes education attractive for young people', they concluded.

Lagos Set for Africa's First Electric Powerboat Racing Championship, Announces Traffic Diversions

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD
.

Lagos state is gearing up to host Africa’s maiden Electric Powerboat Racing Championship (E1 Series), and the city’s roads are set to feel the ripple effect of the landmark sporting event.

In a press statement released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP and e-signed by the Lagos State Honorable Commissioner of Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi stated that, the announced traffic diversions is to ensure a seamless experience for both commuters and participants. The event is scheduled to run from Friday, October 3rd, to Sunday, October 5th, 2025, on the Victoria Island Lagoon.

According to the state government, the championship promises to attract global attention as Lagos becomes the first African city to welcome the futuristic E1 Series, which features electric-powered speedboats racing across waterways.

In anticipation of the crowd and logistical demands, authorities say the 1st Lekki Junction inward Ozumba Mbadiwe Road will be completely closed to traffic for the duration of the race. The move, they explained, is necessary to ease congestion and provide a safe environment around the event corridor.

Motorists are not left stranded, however, as several alternative routes have been mapped out. For those heading from Ajah into Lekki, the government advised making a U-turn at the Lekki 1st Junction by the pedestrian bridge. From there, drivers can navigate through Yesufu Abiodun, Maroko Police Station, City of David, and Ligali Ayorinde before connecting to Ajose Adeogun, Eko Hotel Roundabout, and onward to Ahmadu Bello Way.

Another option awaits motorists traveling from Ajah toward CMS. They can use the Abraham Adesanya route, link Ogonbo Road, continue through Okun Ajah Road, and connect via the Coastal Road to Ahmadu Bello Way before proceeding to Independence Bridge and McEwen/Onikan.

For drivers within Lekki heading toward Ikoyi or the Mainland, the Admiralty Way remains the preferred choice. It links to the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge, providing easy access through Alexander, Bourdillon, Gerrard, and Osborne Road.

Similarly, motorists from Lekki en route to CMS are advised to go through Yesufu Abiodun, connect Oniru Road, link Aboyade Cole, and drive down Ligali Ayorinde before merging onto Eko Hotel Roundabout and Ahmadu Bello Way.

Not all traffic will be restricted. Commuters traveling from CMS and Independence Bridge through Ozumba Mbadiwe toward the Lekki-Epe Expressway will enjoy unhindered movement straight to Ajah and beyond.

To further ease congestion, the government has announced designated parking spaces at Fidelity Bank, Access Bank, and the Nigerian Law School premises, all located in Victoria Island. These facilities will serve as holding bays for vehicles of spectators and participants.

Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) are also expected to be strategically deployed across affected routes to ensure free-flowing traffic and to assist motorists unfamiliar with the diversions.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, assured residents that the measures are temporary and necessary to support Lagos’ ambition of becoming a hub for world-class sporting events.

He added that the Coastal Road will remain open throughout the two-day road diversion, offering some relief to commuters who may be worried about gridlock.

“Motorists are implored to be patient and cooperate with traffic officials,” the commissioner stated. “This diversion plan is part of our broader traffic management strategy to support the successful hosting of the E1 Boat Race.”

As Lagos transforms its waterways into a global sporting stage, residents are being reminded that while there may be temporary inconvenience on the roads, the event itself marks a historic moment for the city, signaling its growing reputation as a modern, innovative, and vibrant destination.

LASTMA APPREHENDS TOGOLESE DRIVER FOLLOWING A LETHAL SPEED-INDUCED CRASH AT ADENIJI ADELE INTERSECTION, INWARD ILUBIRIN, LAGOS ISLAND

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) demonstrated its vigilance and operational resolve in safeguarding lives, as its operatives intervened in a harrowing road traffic catastrophe earlier today at the Adeniji Adele Intersection, inward Ilubirin, Lagos Island, involving a negligent Togolese motorist, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

Preliminary inquiries disclosed that the Togolese operator of a Mazda automobile, bearing registration number EPE 749 GS, while recklessly propelling the vehicle at an unlawful velocity, lost control and brutally struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the roadway. The forceful impact grievously injured the victim, leaving him sprawled in a pool of blood.

In a brazen bid to elude justice, the culpable driver attempted to abscond from the scene with his vehicle.

Nonetheless, through an expeditious chase and deft tactical maneuvering, LASTMA officers apprehended the fugitive motorist and promptly transferred him into the custody of security operatives from the Adeniji Adele Police Division for comprehensive interrogation and subsequent prosecution.

Emergency medical responders from the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), swiftly activated by LASTMA personnel, conveyed the severely injured pedestrian to the General Hospital, Odan, Lagos Island, where urgent and life-saving treatment was immediately administered.

The General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki, sternly admonished motorists to embrace an uncompromising sense of safety consciousness whenever behind the wheel, emphasizing that excessive speed continues to be a primary precipitant of needless tragedies on Lagos roadways.

While conveying his profound sympathies to the accident victim, Mr. Bakare-Oki fervently wished the injured pedestrian a rapid and full recovery, reaffirming the Authority’s steadfast dedication to protecting human lives and preserving orderliness across the State’s transportation corridors.

Many have begun to send gifts of love, and even extending heartfelt birthday wishes across social media, as the GOD-sent man over the Liberation Mandate continues to radiate with strength, Dominion and youthfulness, even well beyond his middle age.

It's safe to say that without Bishop David Oyedepo's commitment to seeking first the Kingdom of GOD and all it's righteousness, the transgenerational impact of his ministry may not have been realized,

For this year's celebration, Dr. Benard Omoyeni, a globally renowned Entreprenuer, Environmental scientist and long-standing member turned- Pastor with the Living Faith Church, shares interesting facts about Bishop David Oyedepo's life and ministry, and it's transgenerational impact.

LASTMA GM, Bakare-Oki Inducts NAOSNP President Oki, 11 others as LASTMA Media Mayors

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD
.

The National President of foremost security news beat association, National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), Comrade Oki O. Samson has been conferred with the honor of a LASTMA Media Mayor. The formal induction ceremony and noble investiture which held yesterday Wednesday 24th of September, 2025 at the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA Headquarters in Oshodi, Lagos also had 11 other respected Media bigwigs receiving the same honor.

The other newly inducted LASTMA Traffic Mayors include Executive Editor of TVC News, Kayode Ladeinde; Director of Programs at Traffic Radio, Victor Oteri; Joshua Morakinyo of LTV; Okunade Folarin of Bond 92.9 FM; Opeyemi Makinde of Adamimogo 93.1 FM; Publisher of Integrity News TV, Adeola Oluwole; and Managing Director of National Moments News Online, Kazeem Bakenne; Soares Olaniyi of Mainland FM among others.

The eminent nomination as a LASTMA Media Mayor accorded Oki O. Samson is in recognition of his grand efforts at enhancing the prompt reportage of news and current affairs from the traffic safety agency and aims to intricately integrate him into the noble enterprise of traffic governance, regulation, and control within the Lagos metropolis.

The General Manager of LASTMA, Mr. Olalekan Bakare-Oki speaking on the “LASTMA Media Mayor” initiative during the colourful investiture ceremony highlighted: 'I seize this opportunity to express my profound appreciation to our devoted officers and management staff, whose unwavering commitment underpins the vision and operational excellence of LASTMA.'

'The “LASTMA Media Mayor” initiative was conceived as a forward-looking platform to formally integrate journalists into the operational matrix of traffic governance in Lagos. The programme is designed to: Amplify collaboration between LASTMA and media practitioners in the real-time dissemination of critical traffic intelligence; Constitute a dedicated corps of journalist-advocates, entrusted with enhancing LASTMA’s public education and road safety campaigns; and Promote transparency, engender trust, and ensure mutual accountability among our officers, road users, and the broader citizenry.'

Bakare-Oki charged: 'By inducting you today as LASTMA Media Mayors, we confer upon you not merely a ceremonial accolade but a profound fiduciary responsibility to serve as the voice, the conscience, and the reflective mirror of our collective aspiration for a Lagos in which traffic discipline and orderliness prevail unfailingly.'

'As Media Mayors, your mandate encompasses: 'The dissemination of accurate, timely, and actionable traffic information to enable commuters to make informed mobility choices; The exposure of infractions, malpractices, and systemic lapses on our roads with the utmost objectivity, integrity, and professional diligence; Active partnership in public enlightenment, continually reminding Lagosians that compliance with traffic regulations constitutes both civic duty and societal virtue; and The provision of constructive, evidence-based feedback to empower LASTMA to refine its strategies and deliver world-class service to the populace.'

In the same vein, the Director, Traffic Advocacy and Special Traffic Mayor, LASTMA, Mr. Awoyemi Jimmy added: 'This induction ceremony symbolizes a new beginning in manpower, and it's based on the initiative of the General Manager, who has deem it fit that It is very necessary that we bring on board the media personalities to assist us in hyping and highlighting some of our big achievements. It's very symbiotic. We hope that you will assist us in making the members of the public know what we have been doing. I specially want to welcome you all, and I see that you're coming on board to bring about greater and excellent achievements in the mission and goals of LASTMA.'

In his response, the NAOSNP President, Oki O. Samson stated: 'I want to thank you, GM, for this great innovation and your transformative leadership. Indeed, while we came earlier, I was telling some of my colleagues, that if you notice for the last one year, there has been a decline in unruly behavior that is associated with LASTMA officers. LASTMA just celebrated its 25th anniversary this year and we know what LASTMA used to be many years ago with unprofessional conduct like touting, fighting, etc. There used to be stories of LASTMA officers running after vehicles or getting involved in fighting with drivers on steering. I remember a story, few years ago, that involved a LASTMA officer and a military officer, that were fighting publicly, which the media tagged as a show of shame.'

'But today, we find that, since
you assumed the office as GM, LASTMA has been calm, I don't know the magic you initiated but my belief is the training you initiated because under your administration, there has been so many training, retraining and orientation engagement. If you are planning a megacity where investors around the whole world are coming every day, then we need to have a state traffic agency that is civil and also going to engage technology in its operations. Mr . Governor of Lagos State has been talking about THEMES+ Agenda of which traffic management is a key focus so this agency has to align
.'

The NAOSNP President assured: 'I want to restate that we will deliver excellently as LASTMA MAYORS and give the agency the best of our support and commitment In order to continue to have free flow of traffic and safer and secure roads in Lagos.'

Christianity EtcThe Day We Got Married- Arch Bishop Margaret Idahosa by Godspowerpro(op):
Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

“The day we got married, my husband didn’t have a car, we only had a motorcycle. Yamaha, Yamaha 200, that was what we had. The day we got married, we borrowed our car. Our car took us to church and brought us back to the reception.
Before the reception was over, the owner of the car told my husband that he had a place to go, so, he took the car. Then, we did our reception in the frontage of one of the in-law’s house.
“The in-law was coming back from Lagos and “he told his wife”, listen, I don’t want to meet any crowd at the front of my house. So, we hurried things over and when it was time for us to go home, there was no car. I had to tiptoe, my husband had to carry my veil and we had about 8 houses before we got to our house.
My husband carried my veil, we both walked or trekked to the house,” she narrated.
Why am I saying this?
“I’m saying this to tell our young ladies that it’s not everything you must have." If I want a limousine to take me to church now, it’s at my beckon and I will get it, but then, there was none.
But you see, don’t allow the position that you are in now to dictate your future because your future is bright, your future is great, your future is powerful. So, don’t let what you have now disturb you at all.
My husband said before he left, he said where you are coming from is “hind”, that is, it’s behind you. There’s nothing to write home about where you are coming, but where you are now you are not perturbed because you know where you are going.

Today, I turn 30. 🎂✨
This week, I also became a graduate after 10 SSCE exams, 7 years of strikes, COVID breaks, and health challenges. 🎓

I wish I could tell you I planned a whole photoshoot for this big day. Truth is, I couldn’t, exams and finances wouldn’t let me. But I'm very thankful for @milan_documentaries who took out time to take me these beautiful pictures.

There was a time I thought I’ll never see this day. After my surgeries, I questioned whether I would ever walk into classrooms again, let alone graduate. After my extra year in school, I felt left behind, broken, and almost forgotten. There were nights of silent tears, mornings of heavy pain, and moments I wondered if life had passed me by. But my God… 🙏🏽

At 30, I’m not just celebrating a new age, I’m celebrating survival. I’m celebrating every scar that tells my story, every delay that proved God’s timing is perfect, every closed door that made way for His open ones. I’m celebrating the strength I never knew I had, and the woman I have fought, cried, prayed, and grown into.

Along the way, life gave me more responsibility than I ever imagined. I found myself stepping in to take care of my siblings, being their shoulder, their guide, and even their provider by God's grace. It's hasn't been easy, but it has given my journey deeper meaning. Every sacrifice, every prayer, every stretch has been worth it, because their growth has become part of my own testimony. My scars remind me that broken crayons still color. My journey proves that delay is not denial. My life testifies that beauty truly rises from ashes.

So today, I lift my hands in gratitude. For life, for healing, for resilience, for my siblings, for the gift of turning 30 not empty-handed, but crowned with testimony.

And if anyone is moved to give me a birthday gift, my only wish this year is to buy a tablet for my younger brother. He needs it for his coding classes in school, and it would mean the world to me if this milestone also became a blessing for him. 🙏

Here’s to a new decade. Here’s to graduation. Here’s to a future filled with love, purpose, and endless grace.

Forever grateful. ✨

Femicides Remain A Major Violence Against Women, As CP Jimoh, Force Pathologist Keshinro, Justice Alogba Present Police Report On Femicide In Lagos

By Oki Samson
GODSPOWERPROJECT

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

Stakeholders have identified femicides - the intentional killing of women and girls - as one of the most important gender-based violence in Lagos and across Nigeria. They also highlighted that the paucity of data is a major stumbling block to prosecution of cases and reduction of the crime rate, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

This assertion was made yesterday at the presentation of Nigeria Police report focused on the study of femicides within Lagos State in the last 5 years. The book provided a brief five-year retrospective examination of femicides in Lagos, utilizing the United Nations' statistical framework to assess gender-related killings of women and girls between January 2020 and December 2024.

Titled “Measuring Femicide in Lagos State: Data, Advocacy and Action”, the report captured 1,666 unnatural deaths recorded in Lagos within Year 2020 - 2024. Of these, 1,316 (79%) were men while 350 (21%) were women. About 230 deaths (66%) were homicides. Among female homicides, 200 were classified as intentional, with 70 (35%) identified as femicides. Nearly half (47%) of the femicides were committed by intimate partners. Most victims were aged between 15 and 44, the most productive stage of life.

Speaking at the event, Lagos Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh called for stronger and more reliable data systems to combat the rising cases of femicide across Nigeria. He added that Nigeria’s fight against femicide was being undermined by poor record-keeping, weak forensic investigations, and low prosecution rates. “These gaps have hindered efforts to fully eradicate violence against women, despite Lagos recording comparatively lower femicide rates in this study,” Jimoh said.

According to the Commissioner, the Lagos Police Command has now established a specialised unit under its Gender Department to focus on femicide and domestic violence cases. Initially donor-funded, the unit is currently supported by the Lagos State Government.

He noted that officers in the unit had been trained to identify early warning signs of domestic violence and respond with empathy, confidentiality, and professionalism. “Gone are the days when victims were subjected to humiliating questions. Our officers have been trained to respond with empathy, confidentiality, and efficiency.”

CP Jimoh hailed Force Pathologist, Dr. Keshinro and his team who performed an exhaustive examination of available data, resulting in the findings presented which will undoubtedly bolster the capacity of the Nigeria Police Force. "We are delighted that the research emerged from within the force, under the leadership of Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, at a time when femicide cannot be disregarded. Our officers have received comprehensive training to identify and address potential threats, including domestic violence. We have implemented operational modalities to support our officers and take prompt action within the law to prevent femicide, both within and outside the context of domestic violence."

The Nigeria Police Force
Pathologist, ACP Samuel Keshinro who presented the report stressed that reliable data was vital to understanding the drivers of femicide and developing effective interventions. 'This publication aimed to measure femicide in Lagos State, examining its extent, since we recognize that reliable data is necessary for developing effective strategies. The project commenced a year ago, focusing on creating awareness and advocating against gender-related violence and Violence against women and girls (VAWG), prevention of Gender Based Violence (GBV), and including femicide."

The lead pathologist ACP Keshinro added: "The findings based on Police records from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Panti, revealed that out of 350 female deaths, 70 were categorized as femicide. Further analysis disaggregated variables showed the patterns of femicide, including intimate partner and family related femicide, with intimate partner femicide being the most prevalent."

Dr Keshinro pointed out that this illustrates the vulnerability of women, especially in situations where they should feel loved and secure. "The timing is appropriate, given that November 25 is the United Nations'-declared day for eliminating violence against women, starting the 16 days of activism. This concludes on December 10, coinciding with Human Rights Day. Today's event has attracted a diverse group of attendees, including high-ranking officials from the Nigeria Police Force, academics, and development partners like the UN.
The contributions, we hope, will not be limited to data collection but will effectively help prevent heinous crimes such as GBV, BWG, and femicide," he said.

ACP Keshinro discussed the research challenges, emphasizing that one of the most significant hurdles was the hard copy format of the data, which posed difficulties, particularly given the five-year scope of the data, dating back to 2020. The data's integrity was compromised due to faded ink, leading to the recommendation to create a data collection tool and implement a robust electronic homicide record to safeguard the data against deterioration and facilitate inter- agency collaboration.

Furthermore, the team leader, noted that the team drew inspiration from the electronic medical records that the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun has implemented in Lagos and across states in Nigeria, facilitating seamless operations, particularly in the medical services of the Nigeria Police Force. "We are endeavoring to replicate this model to ensure effortless access to information and data, ensuring us to prevent crimes and mitigate escalation."

The six-man team led by Dr Keshinro lauded the Lagos CP, specifically for sanctioning data escalation tools, which Lagos has identified as vital and approved for implementation, with the expectation that this success will expand nationally and aid in crime prevention by facilitating real time data collection.

In his address at the event, the Chief Judge of Lagos, Hon Justice Kazeem Alogba commended the Nigeria Police Force and observed that this initiative could lead to notable improvement in the quality of police services and improved court proceedings. He underscored the importance of this research project that it would provide valuable insights for the judicial system of Lagos State.

“Reliable data helps us understand the causes of femicide and ensures that judicial processes are both fair and firm,” Alogba said, pledging the judiciary’s partnership with researchers and civil society groups.

Additionally, the Lagos Chief Judge mentioned that he frequently advises his fellow judges and magistrates that matters before then affect real people's lives, beyond being legal transactions. He urged law enforcement officers, lawyers, and judges to adopt a human-centred approach in handling femicide cases and also stressed the importance of evidence-based data in shaping judicial responses and ensuring justice for victims.
