CelebritiesDr. Benard Omoyeni: Celebrating His Accomplishments & Exemplary Life by Godspowerpro(op):
Who does not know Dr. Benard Omoyeni?

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD
.

The billionaire entrepreneur, and renowned environmental scientist and author who continues to influence Nigeria's international trade relations, through Palmadex Group, a non oil export company, and currently one of Africa's most impactful businessmen.

As Dr. Benard Adedotun Omoyeni clocks 54 on July 1, 2025, his legacy extends far beyond export and environmental science.
Over the years, he has transformed into a national philanthropist, engaging several corporate social responsibilities, and distributing his immense wealth to tackle society's pressing challenges.

As GODSPOWERPROJECT joins the nations of the earth to celebrate Dr. Bernard Adedotun Omoyeni, today, Deji Obasa takes a closer look at the success and leadership traits that make him such a powerful personality.

The Birth of An Entrepreneur

Imagine a young active primary school graduate, leaving his hometown in Ondo state to pick up a factory job at the weaving section of the Nigerian Textile Mills in Lagos, and later a stint as a factory hand in the Kaolin Milling Section at Kavitex Industries.
That was Bernard Omoyeni in 1990, a farm boy who weathered economic storms and developed an 'I Must Succeed In Life' mentality, which helped him proceed to the Federal University of Technology in Akure to bag a Bachelor of Technology degree in Fisheries and Wildlife in April 1997. And later obtained a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Maiduguri in 2001.
Followed by a 2004 Master of Science degree in Environmental Management from the Federal University of Agriculture in Abeokuta. Also a Master of Science degree in Geographic Information System from the University of Ibadan in 2005.

A City Set On A Hill, And Light Of The World

As soon as Dr. Benard observed the mandatory NYSC scheme at the Federal College of Freshwater Fisheries Technology, Baga, between 1998/99, and was retained by same institution to serve in various capacities; as Lecturer, Head of Departments and Acting Provost, all between 1999 and 2005.

His major turning point was in 2005, when he got a job with a major multinational.
Ever since then, he became more compassionate about people's concern; funding scholarships, supporting business owners, engaging Kingdom investments

In 2015, he founded Palmadex Global Integrated Services, now Palmadex Group, a multi-award non oil export company
Together with his younger brother, Dr. Patrick Omoyeni, Dr. Bernard spotted a world-changing opportunity.
In an era when oil was the major export, reserved for corporations and government agencies, Dr. Bernard made a daring move: to make export accessible to everyone trading non oil commodities.

What began as a passion to empower Nigerians soon transformed into a global powerhouse.
Under Dr. Bernard's leadership, Palmadex Group has grown multiple portfolios, that revolutionized the export industry and made international trade acceptable to the masses.
Palmadex Group was not just a business; it was the realization of a Divine vision to affect the world through trade.

In the words of Dr. Patrick Omoyeni, his younger brother and the Operations Manager at Palmadex Group,
"Dr. Benard Omoyeni always keeps his eyes on excellence. He instils integrity, probity and hardwork in all his staff, younger Siblings and everyone who looks up to him. He is a cheerful giver with a heart of gold. An exemplary leader and philanthropy per excellence. He is a God lover to the core, a highly dedicated God's kingdom steward. Here's wishing MD/CEO, Palmadex Group, Nigeria, Dubai, Chicago, United Kingdom, Australia and other trade offices managed by my boss, brother, mentor, role model and pastor, the very best on his birthday today and indeed always. The Lord grant him renewal of strength, all round rest, breakthroughs, greater exploits and global impacts in Jesus name. Amen. Big Congratulations, Sir."

Still basking in the wine of true love, Uzoma Omoyeni (Uzofine), Dr. Bernard's wife of over 20 years also took this opportunity to return all glory to GOD
"I return all glory to this awesome GOD, for the birth and gift of this sweet soul, my Gee forever, my Olowori, my one and only, my choosen love, my loving lover, my pastor, my Lord and personal savior after Jesus Christ, the one that made me know how good it feels to be a woman, brought out the sweetest part of me, true son of Bishop (David) Oyedepo, my sweet love Pastor Dr. Benard Adedotun Omo- Omoyeni. A man well groomed specially for Uzofine alone, my army soldier, tough, but with a gentle spirit.
I welcome you to a brand new age, a new Era, a Newdawn, where great things shall continue to rush you on their own accord. The Lord GOD is intentional about blessing you this year, very deliberate in loading you with benefits daily, giving you a renewed mind of Christ in all you do. Ahead July 12 LG Elections, 'We Will Prevent Any Form of Thuggery, Violent Elections' - ACP Tokunbo Abaniwonda Tells Alimosho Stakeholders, Residents

By Oki Samson
GODSPOWERPROJECT

Ahead of Lagos State LGAs/LCDAs elections slated for 12th July 2025, the Nigeria Police are gearing for a peaceful elections. As the no. 1 security agency tasked with election monitoring and security, the Police leadership began consultation across the board, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

Over the weekend, the Area Commander in charge of Area M Police Command in Idimu, Lagos State, ACP Tokunbo Abaniwonda engaged with stakeholders within her jurisdiction, Alimosho LGA, which is the most populous local government in Lagos State. She assured them that there will be law and order during the elections as the Police will prevent any form of thuggery and violent action. She also indicated the readiness of the Police to make LASIEC function effectively.

The stakeholders present at the Security Stakeholders' meeting include traditional leaders such as Oba of Isheri Kingdom Alimosho, HRM Olusegunloye 1, Oba Dr. Ibrahim Olasunkanmi Lawal; Alakesan of Akesan, Oba Abidemi Aberejo; Onishasha of Shasha, HRH Oba Babatunde Akanbi Nasir Ogunrunbi; Seriki Hausa of Alimosho General, Alhaji Ahmed Haruna Karaja; Vice Chairman, PCRC Area M, Alhaji M.A Adebajo; CAN representative, Evang. Akinola; Representative of Oba Igando, Alhaji Akeem Dada; Political representatives of the party Candidates for the LGA Chairmanship elections, PCRC members in Alimosho, Police officers, officers from sister security agencies, and others were present.

Other are senior police officers from Area M Command: 2i/c Area M, CSP Ronke Bakare; DPO Igando, CSP Kabiru Sulaiman; DPO Ikotun, CSP Oni Waheed; DPO Shaha, CSP Ojajuni Adeleke; DPO Isheri Oshun, CSP Ogbeifun Kenneth; DPO Idimu, CSP Eze Aghata; DPO Gowon Estate, SP Owolabi Sefunmi; Commander, Panther Egbeda, CSP Charles Sawyer; Commander Shark Ejigbo, CSP Aduroja Akinola and other officers in Area M Command.

The Area M Commander, ACP Tokunbo Abaniwonda informed: 'I want all stakeholders to know where we stand. The IGP, Dr. Olukayode Egbetokun and the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Olorundare Moshood Jimoh is keen and has left no stone unturned in ensuring that the policy in place is for security of lives and properties. The CP Olorundare Moshood JIMOH stated that there is zero tolerance for crime, election violence, and cultism in Lagos. In view of this, I, as your Area Commander, ACP Tokunbo Abaniwonda, reiterate our commitment of maintaining absolute law and order during the election and afterwards. We say no to any form of hostility that has been out there around in the area for a while.'

'I hope we all know that this is the biggest local government in Lagos and by extension Nigeria and we know that Alimosho needs special attention. Things are meant to be done appropriately, according to the policies and procedures. We will use all the procedure to achieve a free and fair election, and peaceful and transparent election.'

Reaffirming their commitment, the Area M Police Command stated that it will continue to work closely with local stakeholders to ensure the elections in Alimosho are peaceful, credible, and reflective of democratic values. 'What I need from you is commitment and communication that will take us further than we ought to achieve. Even after we are far gone, it's called a legacy, it should be written of us all in the historical records and placed for generations to come who will be proud of us. Today is all about you. Without you, there would be no us. We implore you to walk with us. We are unwavering and unshakable in the light of making sure sanity is in Area M Command and the environs. Our doors are always open, day and night, with no restrictions at all to male or female, young or old, tribe or religion', Abaniwonda informed.

'For the forthcoming election, we are focusing on providing you with peace, support, safety, advice and information, with the full presence of our men. Let's exercise our right to vote with freedom and safety.'

Acknowledging the complex security landscape in Alimosho, the police leadership urged stakeholders and community leaders to act responsibly. 'We will prevent any form of violent action from any source by ensuring the protection of candidates, voters and election officers. All aggrieved parties should please seek necessary redress at the court of law and ensure that we follow due process. We will provide visibility policing, deploy adequate personnel and resources within our operations to the polling stations and surrounding areas. We appreciate that the stakeholders collaborate with us, what we want from you is to report any suspicious process and activity not worthy of a good nation.'

Addressing broader security issues, ACP Abaniwonda identified cultism as a persistent threat in the community. As part of the command’s multi-layered security and social intervention plan, the National Coordinator of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV), ACP Olabisi Okuwobi, is scheduled to visit the area. The visit will mark the launch of a grassroots sensitization campaign aimed at discouraging cultism and educating youths on the dangers of anti-social behavior. 'The Police campaign against cultism and other vices (POCACOV) headed by ACP Olabisi Okuwobi is moving around and will soon join us in Alimosho, in which you all will be invited for the awareness of zero tolerance to cultism.'

Some Stakeholders present at the meeting bare their thoughts.

HRM Oba Dr. Ibrahim Olasunkanmi Lawal Bello of Isheri Olofin noted that the meeting is very important and strategic. 'As for me, the area of Thuggery and cultism, really boils down to the grassroots. Even before I ascended the throne as Oba, I have heard a lot about cultism which we have been making strategic steps towards curbing such vices. I can tell you now that cultism is reducing to a minimum. We even have some repentant cultists among those  with me in this hall today.'

'In this upcoming election, I call on every stakeholder to be law-abiding. This is the approach we have taken. We will continue to do this even before and after the election.

'On Information dissemination, most people are scared to give out information because of security threats. But as the Area Commander rightly said you don't need to show your identity before giving information. I think this attempt is very laudable and her approach is very fantastic.'

The Chairman of Police Eminent Forum, Bishop Oyedepo spoke on one of the challenges. 'We are going to start with our checkpoints. When you have a checkpoint at every three bus-stops on the same road it's so tough and it's really embarrassing. Last week, I saw about four checkpoints in two, three places and the officers were almost running themselves into the people that are driving. I want things to change a little bit in that regard. Also, I want this act of synergy among security agencies to continue in terms of working together and information sharing. When there is no information sharing to them, the police, the security, and all our armed forces are weak. And lastly, I would love to the Area Commander to set up a Police team who will be in charge of the estate security management. You will visit every estate to do a workshop, and ask for the CSO of that estate. If you could have that meeting, then we will be going from one next place to another, giving you reports, and also helping participation.'

The Air Commando at the Navy Base, Alimosho said that 'the military acknowledges that when it comes to matters of internal security, Police always come first. The military is set up, trained, and equipped to protect Nigeria against external aggression. However, it is part of our position to render support to the Police, whenever we are called to do so. And I believe it is in that recognition that the Area Commander deemed it fit to invite us to this security Stakeholders meeting.'

'So I want everyone here, as the Area Commander and the Royal Fathers have spoken that nobody should be allowed to be used as a tool for election violence, or Thuggery in the hands of politicians. We will contribute our quota to make sure that 12 July comes out without any undesired incident.'

The Representative of NDLEA, Mr. Ade Kehinde told the stakeholders, 'There is no government without us, and I just want us to know that to reform the economy. In the NDLEA, we decided to go all out in the area of drug contamination among officials and in the public. When we talk about drug-contamination, we go to the bars, to the schools, to stop drug abuse, to sensitize people and we have a great amount of success.'

President Tinubu Congratulates CGC Wale Adeniyi On Election As Chairperson of The World Council of Customs

GODSPOWERPROJECT

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD

President Bola Tinubu congratulates Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Mr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, on his unanimous election on Saturday in Brussels as the Chairperson of the Council of the World Customs Organisation (WCO), National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

Adeniyi made history as the first Nigerian to head the 73-year-old organisation, which has 186 member countries and is the highest decision-making body in global customs administration.

President Tinubu congratulates Adeniyi, the Board, management and staff of the NCS on the recognition.

The President believes that the hoisting of the Nigerian flag at the WCO headquarters in Brussels marks a significant milestone. It is the first time the flag has been raised at the organisation's headquarters since its founding in 1952. This event demonstrates the dynamism of the leadership provided by Adeniyi, who has been the head of NCS since his appointment two years ago.

In two years, Adeniyi has increased revenue collections, consistently surpassing budgetary targets, improved relations with various stakeholders, modernised operations and digitalised processes for effectiveness.

"I congratulate the Customs boss for bringing pride and validation to our country and the economic reforms. I urge the new Chairperson of the WCO to live up to the expectation of the WCO Council and even surpass it," the President said.

President Tinubu thanks the Secretary-General and WCO leaders for unanimously electing the Nigerian Customs boss and assures that his government will support his leadership of the Council.

CGC Adeniyi, who takes over the leadership of the Council of WCO from Edward Kieswetter, Commissioner of the South African Revenue Service, will officially begin guiding the global institution on July 1, 2025.

The WCO Council, the organisation's supreme governing body, plays a crucial role in promoting uniformity, modernisation, and global best practices among customs administrations. All WCO working bodies report to the Council, whose policy decisions guide the operations of customs administrations across its 186 member states.

1 Corinthians 11:3 KJV
[3] But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

The local church was perhaps the only fellowship in the Roman empire that welcomed all people, regardless if nationality, gender, social status or economic position.

It is important to keep in focus that the Apostle (Paul) was correcting Imbalance and chaos in proper congregational worship.
The intention here by GOD, and the Apostle was never to antagonize or devalue women, but to call them to embrace the Divine order in public worship

Though men and women were both created in GOD'S image

Genesis 1:27 KJV
[27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them
.

It is man who bears the glory of GOD uniquely by his role. Like GOD, man is given a sphere of sovereignty as the earthly sovereign over GOD'S order.

As man carries authority delegated to him by GOD, so woman carries authority delegated to her through her husband.
Man came from GOD. Woman came from man, created to complement and help man.

The 'Rhythms of Worship with Adura' is a masterpiece celebration that the Governor of Lagos has commenced. It is sending the right signal to various quarters on how people can celebrate their anniversaries, be it birthdays, weddings, and others.

By Oki Samson

GODSPOWERPROJECT

'The gifts and calling of God are without repentance. When Grace calls a leader, Grace upholds, strengthens, and champions his path to positive impact on life and destiny of millions. This is the pathway that the Lord created for the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as he reached the milestone 60th birthday today 25th June 2025', penned the Board Member of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) and Chairman of Executive Group, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan to the transformative leader whom he described as 'big brother, friend, mentor, and exemplar who has had sterling influence on my life,' National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

This is as the Governor of Lagos State, Gov. Sanwo-Olu enjoys a harvest of tributes both locally and internationally on his 60th birthday.

Dr. Ogunsan hailed the illustrious career and unwavering commitment of the Governor as a technocrat, gentleman politician, administrator, and leader.

'Yours is a lifetime of dedication to public service. You have guided Lagos State along the journey of the THEMES-plus AGENDA which you have adopted to address challenges and provide opportunities for the millions who call Lagos home. These programs in the past 6 years are yielding gains for Lagosians, residents and investors, fostering collaboration cross-culturally and internationally, and continues to make Lagos the hallmark of positive influence, Nigeria's centre of excellence, and cynosure of eyes globally.'

'Under your 6 years of leadership, Lagos has become one of the best cities in the world. Lagos is ranked as one of the world’s best cities for 2025 alongside Cape Town, South Africa and Marrakech, Morocco in Africa. Lagos enjoys patronage as Africa's cultural capital while technology and innovation thrives on a grandiose scale.'

'The annals of history will recall you and paint you in the positive light. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other political leaders who have invested in you are proud of your giant strides. Individuals and corporations that you have invested in will be proud of you. Nations will call you blessed.'

'As we look forward to your remaining two years as the Executive Governor, may you soar on the wings of Grace to new heights. May your strength be renewed as the eagle's.'

'I will not fail to thank you personally. Thank you for your love for the Ogunsan's, my wife and young ladies celebrate you. Thank you for the constant support for the Ayo Ogunsan Gospel Hymns concert. Thank you for looking out for this boy called Ayo. May God continue to load you with answers to your prayers. Occupy Till I Come

Luke 19:12-13 KJV
[12] He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. [13] And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come
.

That instruction suggests 2 things
1. Time sensitivity
Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
[1] To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

Ephesians 5:16 KJV
[16] redeeming the time, because the days are evil
.

2. Task sensitivity
Ephesians 5:17 KJV
[17] Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

Luke 13:6-9 KJV
[6] He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. [7] Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? [8] And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: [9] and if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Jesus is saying 'be sensitive to time and task'
Every time has an assignment tied to it

Time is a platform through which GOD orchestrates change

Continuity brings about productivity in Spiritual stewardship

Exodus 23:25-26 KJV
[25] And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. [26] There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

Psalm 34:10 KJV
[10] The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: But they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV
[58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord
.

Faithfulness in stewardship entitles us to all round rest
2 Chronicles 15:15, 19 KJV
[15] And all Judah rejoiced at the oath: for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and the LORD gave them rest round about.
[19] And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.

Luke 19:17-19 KJV
[17] And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. [18] And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. [19] And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities
.

LORD, I receive Grace from YOU to be sensitive to the time and task in Jesus precious name

1. "The best investment you can make is in yourself, but the second-best is in relationships."- Warren Buffet

Story- Mo Ibrahim/ Celtel

Mo Ibrahim sold Celtel for $3.4 billion, but here's the secret nobody talks about: He spent 15 years having tea with village chiefs across Africa. While competitors focused on technology, Mo understood that in Africa, business is built on trust, not towers. One chief in Uganda became so close to Mo that he personally walked him through tribal lands to secure network rights. That single relationship unlocked 14 countries.

The Unlock: Your network isn't your net worth – your network IS your worth. Every conversation is a compound investment.

2. "Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning."- Bill Gates
Story- Iyinolu Aboyeji/ Flutterwave:

When Iyinolu Aboyeji's Flutterwave was failing in 2016, angry merchants in Lagos were calling him a fraud. Instead of hiding, he visited every single one. A fish seller named Mama Kemi broke down crying, explaining how payment failures destroyed her customers' trust. That breakdown became Flutterwave's breakthrough – they rebuilt their entire system around her pain points. Today, Flutterwave processes $16 billion annually.

The Unlock: Your critics aren't enemies – they're unpaid consultants showing you the billion-dollar gaps you're blind to.

3. "Everyone wants to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down."- Oprah Winfrey

Story: Jason Njoku/ IrokoTV

When Jason Njoku's iROKOtv had only $3,000 left, his co-founder Bastian Gotter sold his car to keep the company alive. They ate garri for months in a cramped Lagos apartment, debugging code together at 3 AM. That loyalty during the storm built unshakeable trust. When Netflix offered to buy iROKO for $30 million, they turned it down together – because real partnerships aren't about the money, they're about the mission.

The Unlock: Loyalty in the valley reveals who'll stand with you on the mountain.
Choose partners for character, not convenience.

4. "Business opportunities are like buses, there's always another one coming. But relationships? They're like fingerprints – unique and irreplaceable."- Richard Branson

Story: Rebecca Enonchong/ AppsTech

Rebecca Enonchong's AppsTech missed a $50 million contract in 2018. Her competitor got it. But Rebecca had spent years mentoring young developers across Cameroon for free. When that competitor couldn't deliver, the client called Rebecca's former mentee – now a CTO – who recommended AppsTech. The relationship she built teaching code in dusty classrooms became her biggest contract.

The Unlock: Opportunities expire, but relationships compound.
Plant seeds everywhere, harvest happens in seasons you never expect.

5. "It doesn't matter how many times you fail. You only have to be right once and then everyone can tell you how lucky you are." - Mark Cuban

Story: Shola Akinlade/ Paystack:

Shola Akinlade failed with 4 startups before Paystack. Each failure taught him one crucial lesson, but more importantly, introduced him to one key person.

Failure #1 introduced him to his co-founder.

Failure #2 connected him to his first investor.

Failure #3 brought his head of engineering. When Stripe acquired Paystack for $200 million, it wasn't luck – it was a network built through failing forward.

The Unlock: Every "no" is networking you for your eventual *"YES." Failure is relationship research disguised as setbacks.*

6. "When you're small, you have to be humble. When you're big, you have to be even more humble."- Jack Ma

Story: Sim Shagaya/ Konga:

Sim Shagaya built Konga into Nigeria's Amazon, worth $150 million. Success went to his head – he stopped taking calls from small vendors, dismissed local market feedback.

Meanwhile, Jumia's founders were having dinner with mechanics in Ikeja, learning their payment preferences. Konga collapsed while Jumia became Africa's first unicorn. *Pride in relationships is the silent killer of empires.*

The Unlock: Arrogance is relationship poison.
The higher you rise, the deeper your roots with people must grow.

8. Don't be intimidated by what you don't know. That can be your greatest strength."- Sara Blakely

Story: Bethlehem Tilahun

Bethlehem Tilahun knew nothing about tech when she started soleRebels in Ethiopia. But she knew how to listen. She sat with cobblers for months, learning their frustrations. Her "ignorance" helped her see what experts missed – traditional techniques could create modern products. sole Rebels became the first African footwear brand in major US stores, generating $15 million annually, all because she embraced being the student, not the expert.

The Unlock: Your ignorance is your innocence. Ask questions that experts won't – that's where breakthrough insights live.

9. "The customer has got to be more than right – they've got to be successful."- Michael Dell

Story: Tayo Oviosu/ Paga

Tayo Oviosu's Paga wasn't just providing payments – he was creating prosperity. In rural Kano, he noticed agents couldn't read transaction receipts. Instead of blaming illiteracy, he redesigned Paga with colors and symbols. Those agents became his biggest advocates, growing Paga to 24 million users. He didn't just serve customers – he empowered ecosystems.

The Unlock: Don't just solve problems – transform people's potential. When customers win bigger because of you, you become irreplaceable.

10. "Your brand is what people say about you when you're not in the room."- Jeff Bezos

Story: Iyinolu Aboyeji/ Andela

When Iyinolu Aboyeji left Andela, rumors swirled about internal conflicts. Instead of defending himself publicly, he quietly helped former colleagues land better jobs, connected them to investors, celebrated their wins loudly on social media. Two years later, when he launched Future Africa, those same people became his first investors and loudest advocates. His brand wasn't built by his words – but by his actions when it didn't benefit him.

The Unlock: Your reputation is built in private moments and tested in public storms. Character is what you do when nobody's keeping score.

11. "When you innovate, you've got to be prepared for everyone telling you you're nuts."- Larry Ellison

Story: Osh Agabi/ Koniku

When Osh Agabi said he'd build computers using lab-grown neurons in Lagos, investors called him crazy. Even his Stanford friends mocked the idea. But his grandmother, a trader in Alaba Market, listened to his vision and gave him her life savings – ₦2 million. That belief from an "uneducated" woman gave him courage to continue. Koniku is now building the world's first smell-detecting devices, worth $8 million, funded partly by that market woman's faith.

The Unlock: Innovation needs believers, not experts. Sometimes the most powerful validation comes from the most unexpected relationships.

Benue Massacre, Insecurity: NAOSNP Condemns Attacks, Call for Proactive Measures in Policing and Intelligence Gathering

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD

The National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP) condemns the increasing Security lapses in the country leading to unwholesome massacre of Nigerian citizens, some in their sleeps, with special emphasis to the Yelwata killings in Benue State.

It would be recalled that in the early hours of Friday, June 13, 2025, more than 200 persons were slaughtered by alleged heavily armed herdsmen in Yelwata, a farming community in Guma County, Benue State. This mass killing is part of a disturbing wave of targeted violence that has swept across central Nigeria in recent weeks, with Plateau State on the mind.

This latest massacre reportedly follows a string of well coordinated attacks across Benue recently.

The Association notes with total dismay that the Security agencies have conscientiously relapsed in their various duties, thereby prompting the preventive killings of Nigerians across the regions.

Much as we applaud the renewed efforts of various agencies in tackling the agelong insurgency that has ravaged the country overtime, we want to put it on record that the best of our security apparatuses has not been doing enough as lives, in hundreds have continued to be lost, major security facilities, including army barracks overwhelmed and insurgents barking threats on a daily against the Nigerian populace. This situation is no longer acceptable.

A statement signed by the National Public Relations Officer of the Association, Mr. Eric Elezuo, quoted the National President, Comrade Oki Samson as saying that the association is aware of the various governments, both the federal and states' efforts at providing facilities and equipment to tackle insurgencies, noting however, that the results have been minimal in comparison to the humongous allocation to security in the budget year in and year out.

In the words of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu while presenting the 2015 Budget, "We have laid the foundation for stability. Now, we must build on it. With an unprecedented ₦54.99 trillion budget, we are making the largest-ever investments in critical sectors: National Security – ₦6.11 trillion: The highest defence allocation in Nigeria's history to secure our nation from threats." To whom much is given, much is expected, but the reverse seems to be the case.

While acknowledging the skirmishes of successes, it is worthy of note that they are not enough as Nigerians' lives are continually worth less than a kobo in the hands of the bandits and herdsmen, who have been alleged to be behind the attacks.

Who are they? Where do they live? How do they communicate? Where is the place of intelligence in policing and maintaining our territorial integrity? What is the function of the National Identity Number (NIN) without which no one can own a communication gadget within our borders? Are their saboteurs of our collective will to peaceful coexistence?

These and many more are questions our security operatives must answer if we must have a foreclosure. Human lives should no longer be sacrificed on the alter of ego and vendetta, and then punctuated with the now boring "we condemn and condolence visits". Nigerians are tired of hearing this slogan from people in whose hands we entrust our lives. It's obvious the we condemn has never brought back lost lives, or stopped another attacks. Time is now to be more proactive in policing and intelligence gathering to nip in the bud these that are gradually making the country a laughing stock in the coming of nations. The functions of our security operatives and elected representatives, whether executive or legislature is not to run to crime scenes for condolence visits, or blurring a well rehearsed 'we condemn' cliche.

Recall that in May, Amnesty International reported that at least 30 persons were killed when gunmen attacked travellers in Imo State, just as 20 commuter vehicles and trucks were set ablaze during a “vicious attack” along the Okigwe-Owerri road, and none has yet been arrested or held accountable. The new normal!

We praise the brevity of our soldiers at the frontlines, but until uhuru is achieved, every effort remains vain attempt. It must not be forgotten that many months after Agatu massacre, no one has been brought to book, and this has continued to feathered the ego and boldness of the evil doers.

We agree with Chief of  Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, who said that the Yelwata attack is "one attack too many", and therefore, call on stakeholders of interest; the Military, the Police, the Department of Security Services (DSS), the NSCDC, Nigerian Immigration, Nigeria Customs and Intelligence department, in fact, everyone that dorns a security outfit, to rise to the occasion, and safeguard the lives of Nigerians.

This is not the time for grandstanding. This is not the time for flowery speeches. This is not the time for eye service to impress.

This is the time for national reawakening. Thus is the time for action. This is the time to rebuild and bring to justice all collaborators. This is the time to heal. This is the time for the Security agencies to rise, and be counted.

This is the time for ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

No strong man wants his captives set free

Luke 11:21-22 KJV
[21] When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: [22] but when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils

The unsaved are in the den of the enemies

Exodus 4:22-23 KJV
[22] And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: [23] and I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn
.

Until the GOD of Vengeance shows up, the enemy never gets go

Exodus 12:33 KJV

2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV
[4] in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them
.

The unbeliever is so blind, that it will take GOD to open their understanding, even the believer

Ephesians 1:13, 17-18 KJV
[13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
[17] that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: [18] the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints
,

If the believer needs prayer for enlightenment, how much more the unbeliever

2 Corinthians
10:3-6 KJV
[3] For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: [4] (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holdswink [5] casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; [6] and having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled
.

These are strongholds, we need Spiritual weapons, we must engage the GOD of Vengeance in prayers

Prayer will reach where we cannot reach

We must stop the mouths of all agents of the devil from scattering the flock

Matthew 16:18-19 KJV
[18] And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. [19] And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Psalm 94:1 KJV
[1] O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself

President Tinubu queries IGP, Security Operatives over Benue killings: ‘How come no one has been arrested?

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD
.

President Bola Tinubu has expressed dismay over the failure of security operatives to apprehend suspects linked to the recent bloodbath in Yelewata community in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State.

No fewer than 200 people were killed when assailants suspected to be herders invaded the community on Friday, June 13, 2025, and carried out the dastardly act.

The incident, another episode in the recent wave of violent killings in the North-Central state, triggered national outrage, forcing the President to make a condolence visit on Wednesday, June 18, 2025.

Addressing a stakeholders’ town hall meeting held at the Benue State Government House in Makurdi, President Tinubu called out the Inspector General of Police to know why arrests have not been made.

“How come no one has been arrested for committing this heinous crime in Yelewata. Inspector General of Police, where are the arrests? The criminals must be arrested immediately,” President Tinubu said.

“I expect there should be arrests of those criminals.”

“I give you the assurance that we will find peace and convert this tragedy to prosperity.”

President Tinubu addressing a stakeholders’ town hall meeting held at the Benue State Government House in Makurdi
He urged the heads of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) to intensify surveillance and gather actionable intelligence to apprehend the perpetrators.

He told the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, of the need for vigilance and collaboration between communities and security forces.

“Christopher, I watched your comment, and I know you can’t be tired staying in the bush with Oluyede (COAS). But we need to keep our ears to the ground and help get those criminals,” he ordered.

President Bola Tinubu thereafter directed the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, and the Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, to immediately arrest killer herders who perpetrated the heinous killing of over 100 people in Yelewata community in Benue State.

Advising Governor Alia on the importance of stakeholder management for peaceful and progressive governance, the President urged the governor to set up a peace committee in the state that will include former governors of Benue, elders, traditional rulers, federal government officials, and non-indigenes living in the state.

“Let us meet again in Abuja. Let’s fashion out a framework for lasting peace. I am ready to invest in that peace. I assure you, we will find peace. We will convert this tragedy into prosperity,” he said.

President Tinubu urged Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State to allocate land for ranching and directed the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security to follow up.

He called for blood donations to support the injured receiving treatment at the Benue State Teaching Hospital, where he had earlier visited victims and medical staff.

While underscoring the importance of peace for sustainable development, President Tinubu implored the Governor to ensure Benue is peaceful, adding that the circumstances of his visit this time should not have been a reason to visit.

“I wanted to come here to commission projects, to reassure you of hope and prosperity, not to see gloomy faces. But peace is vital to development,” he said.

“The value of human life is greater than that of a cow. We were elected to govern, not to bury people”, he stressed.

Tinubu visited the injured survivors of the attack at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital

He charged Governor Alia with working with the federal government to restore peace.

“Governor Alia, you were elected under the progressive banner to ensure peace, stability, and progress. You are not elected to bury people or comfort widows and orphans. We will work with you to achieve that peace. You must also work with us.

“Not everyone will like you in politics. They hate me, too—like hell. But here I am, still your President. I made a promise to protect democracy, freedom, and prosperity, even for my abusers and accusers. That’s leadership,” the President emphasised.

In his remarks, Governor Hyacinth Alia appealed to the Federal Government to establish a Special Intervention Fund for communities affected by repeated violent attacks across Benue State.

“Your Excellency, while we continue to mourn our losses and rebuild from the ashes of pain, we humbly urge the Federal Government to consider establishing a special intervention fund for communities affected by these incessant attacks in Benue State,” he said.

Governor Alia said the fund would support the rehabilitation of displaced persons, reconstruction of destroyed homes and infrastructure, and the restoration of livelihoods, especially for farmers.

The meeting included the Secretary to the Federal Government, George Akume, Traditional Rulers, and former Governors of the state. The governors of Kwara, Imo, Kogi, Plateau, Ondo, and Nasarawa also attended the meeting.

Upon arrival in Benue earlier, Tinubu visited the injured survivors of the attack at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital to sympathise with them.

Engaging The GOD Of Vengeance For Supernatural Church Growth-Part 3

To engage is to involve; simply put, involving the GOD of Vengeance

Vengeance; Divine judgment

We serve a GOD of Vengeance

Church Growth occurs when souls are being saved, and being established in the Kingdom of GOD, and in Church

The Kingdom of GOD is being populated.

The devil is all out because Church Growth means his (devil's) kingdom is depleting

Church Growth is warfare- conflict; a battle against Principalities and Powers

Ephesians 6:12 KJV
[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

These are wicked forces.
It's not a physical fight, you cannot see them with your physical eyes, but you can see the damaging effect on individuals

2 Kings 18:30 KJV
[30] neither let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, The LORD will surely deliver us, and this city shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria
.

The king of Assyria was bluffing in arrogance,

2 Kings 19:32, 34-35 KJV
[32] Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.
[34] For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake. [35] And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses
.

GOD stopped the arrogant king of Assyria

GOD will stop every spiritual forces against the Church and your life

We must stop the mouth of those who go about scattering the flock of Christ

Acts 20:30 KJV
[30] Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them
.

Every agent of the devil speaking perverse things shall be stopped

Matthew 12:30 KJV
[30] He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad
.

Every king of Assyria against this commission and our lives shall be judged today in Jesus name

For every opportunity for growth, there are adversaries.

Know what it takes to subdue the opposition

The resistance against the church is not a delegated matter, satan is personally invested

We require the engagement of the GOD of vengeance

Daniel 4:30-33 KJV
[30] The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? [31] While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. [32] And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. [33] The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws
.

Although satan is behind, he motivates individuals

Titus 1:10-11 KJV
[10] For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: [11] whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake.

The GOD of Vengeance silences the mouths of vain talkers

Acts 13:8-11 KJV
[8] But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. [9] Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, [10] and said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord? [11] And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand
.

The judgment of GOD silenced his mouth
We engage the GOD of vengeance on the altar of prayer

Psalm 94:1-2 KJV
[1] O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself. [2] Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: Render a reward to the proud.

Psalm 68:1-2 KJV
[1] Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: Let them also that hate him flee before him. [2] As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: As wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

CelebritiesMassive Enforcement Drive Begins In Nigeria's Hospitality Industry by Godspowerpro(op): 6:30pm On Jun 15, 2025
As NIHOTOUR's Team, Vows 'Compliance Across Board'

By Oki Samson

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD
.

Since 1987 when it was founded through a tripartite agreement between the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR) has become Nigeria's apex institution for training, certification, and professional regulation in the hospitality, travel, and tourism industry. But many Nigerians, even in the multimillion dollar industry, did not know the organization existed. The Agency's lofty objectives and infrastructure deteriorated, its initiatives and innovations gathered dust, and its impact was barely felt by the citizenry it ought to serve, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.

But there is a Renewed Hope in the horizon. This is with the appointment of Aare (Dr.) Abisoye Fagade as the new Director General, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism, NIHOTOUR in November, 2024 by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

First and foremost, the new DG has brought a new vigour into the enforcement of standards in the industry. He believes that there must be adherence to global best practices in the industry. This is what will foster sustainable growth in Nigeria’s hospitality and tourism economy.

Recently, the enforcement team at NIHOTOUR, officially commenced a rigorous compliance exercise across Lagos State with focus on hotels, restaurants, and other establishments within the hospitality, travel, and tourism sectors. This initiative is in furtherance of NIHOTOUR’s statutory mandate to standardize and regulate professional practices within the industry nationwide.

The compliance drive seeks to ensure that all personnel, practitioners, and operators within the sector are duly certified and registered with NIHOTOUR, in accordance with the NIHOTOUR Establishment Act 2022.

When the officials with support of the Nigeria Police moved out, many practitioners were even ignorant of the existence of the regulatory organization, some who knew were in shock and disbelief that the almost moribund organization could receive such a new zest of life, while some others called friends and associates in power hoping that they could sideline the renewed efforts but no, the enforcement leader stood his ground that policies and processes will be followed to the letter irrespective of whose ox is gored. This new move has quickly signalled to owners, managers, and practitioners in the hospitality business that a new sheriff is here. From Lagos, the drive will move to Abuja to Port Harcourt, Kano, and other parts of the country. The enforcement is also down the ladder from five-star to the small hotels with firm resolution that best practices must be in place.

This compliance drive reinforces NIHOTOUR’s unwavering commitment to repositioning the Nigerian hospitality, travel, and tourism sectors as key pillars of national development under the Renewed Hope Agenda. The Institute will continue to engage stakeholders constructively, while ensuring strict adherence to the laws governing the sector.

During the week, as part of the exercise, several leading establishments were visited, including Federal Palace Hotel, Eko Hotel and Suites, Lagos Continental Hotel, The Sojourner, Sheraton Lagos, Radisson Blu Victoria Island, Black Diamond Hotel, and FourPoints By Sheraton. These visits followed the issuance of multiple letters of demand and contravention notices to the affected organizations. However, these big names in the hospitality business have all commenced the process of registration and certification, in line with regulatory expectations.

In his interview with Trek Africa newspaper, Director of Enforcement, NIHOTOUR, Barrister Chike Ukekwe hinted that the enforcement drive became expedient following multiple warning notices which yielded little or no result. 'After months of deliberations and sensitization with different key stakeholders under the umbrella of the Federation for Tourism Association of Nigeria, that has its executives cuts across associated bodies such as Nigeria Hotel Association, Hotel Owners Forum Abuja, Hotel and Personnel Services Association of Nigeria, National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies, Nigerian Hotels and Catering Institute, Nigerian Association of Tour Operators, Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria, among others within the hospitality, travels and tourism sectors spanning the months of December 2024, January to February 2025, NIHOTOUR decided to proceed with demand letters dated March 4, 2025 to all these hotels and restaurants been visited now.'

'One month later in April 2025, A final demand letter was issued to all of these hotels and given another 30 days to comply. By May 2025, contravention forms were served on all of the hotels and restaurants demanding they comply in May 2025. Failure to which led to this enforcement exercise in June 2025.'

On the payment protocol, he noted that 'What is payable per hotel differs. What we have said is for each hotel to send the profiles and CVs of their management staff to enable us to determine what is payable. Even though the law mandates the certification of all staff of the hotel. Rather we were ignored. The law applies across the Federal Republic of Nigeria. It will be compliance across the board. We are just starting with Lagos and Abuja', Ukekwe hinted.

Lending her voice to the development, the Director of Legal Services at NIHOTOUR, Mrs. Mariam Inuwa, Esq, highlighted the Institute’s legal responsibilities as captured in Section 5(1)(h) of the Act, which authorizes NIHOTOUR to regulate the activities of hospitality, travel, and tourism professionals in Nigeria. She further referenced Section 4(o) of the Act, which mandates the certification of all practitioners in order to promote uniform standards, professionalism, and quality service delivery within the industry.

The recent Enforcement exercise was led by Mr. Ibe and his NIHOTOUR team alongside Police officers from the Lagos State Police Command. It covered hotels within the Victoria Island axis. It is expected to continue to other regions in Lagos soonest.
