Let's bless and thank the resurrected Christ,
We thank, and give You praise and glory for this day, for answered prayers and accepting our Thanksgiving.
Speak to us again, change our story, give us this day our daily bread, and thank You, for we know You have done it Jesus precious name

Why Are We Giving GOD Thanks

It is always important to always personalize any subject we are examining

'Why Am I Giving GOD Thanks?'

It is important to remember that whatever Commandment GOD gives is for our own benefit.
Giving GOD thanks is a way of giving expression to HIM for HIS involvement in the results that we obtain.

Acknowledging GOD as the ultimate source of the success that we have been enjoying.
We are where we are because of GOD'S involvement,
And as we continue to acknowledge HIM, we shall continue to enjoy more

We Don't Qualify For The Next Blessings, If We Don't Acknowledge The Past, And The Present

If you know how to think, you will know how to thank.
Thank You Jesus

It is important to identify reasons why we are giving HIM thanks

1. For The Confirmation Of The Word In Signs, Wonders, Diverse Miracles (For Over 44 Years Of The Commission)

Isaiah 44:24, 26 KJV
[24] Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
[26] that confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof
:

GOD has always confirmed HIS Word in signs, wonders and answered prayers,
We see hell being depopulated, and Heaven being populated to the Glory of GOD
.
Every miracle is a proof of the confirmation of the Word of GOD,

Only fools doubt proofs

2. For The Past 44 Years, This Commission Has Been Recognised Globally As A Home Of Signs And Wonders To The Glory Of GOD

Isaiah 8:18 KJV
[18] Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

Psalm 118:23 KJV
[23] This is the LORD's doing; It is marvellous in our eyes
.

Give GOD thanks in the Holy Ghost

Thank You Jesus

GODSPOWERPROJECT

Give thanks and appreciate GOD for mighty acts in our midst.
FATHER, we thank and bless YOUR Holy Name.
Let our eyes be open to see, ears open to hear, and hearts be open to receive
By YOUR Word, let each one of our lives be transformed in Jesus name

Why Are We Giving Thanks To GOD

We are indebted to HIM in gratitude

2 Thessalonians 1:2-3 KJV
[2] grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.  [3] We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth;

Psalm 103:1-2 KJV
[1] Bless the LORD, O my soul: And all that is within me, bless his holy name. [2] Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all his benefits:

What Are We Giving Thanks For?

1. For The Continuous Rain Of The Word Of Faith For The Past 44 Years

One of the greatest calamities that can befall any people is the famine of the Word

Amos 8:11 KJV
[11] Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

2 Chronicles 15:3, 5 KJV
[3] Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
[5] And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in, but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the countries
.

Access to the Word is from GOD HIMSELF.

The Effect Of The Word

1. It is the Sent Word That Engenders Exploits

Isaiah 9:8 KJV
[8] The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.

Isaiah 60:1-3, 22 KJV
[1] Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. [2] For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. [3] And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
[22] A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in his time.
(By the effect of the Word)
The Word of GOD provoking exploits In the lives of individuals

2. It Is The Sent Word That Heals And Delivers

Psalm 107:20 KJV
[20] He sent his word, and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

Matthew 8:16 KJV
[16] When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:

Luke 5:17 KJV
[17] And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judæa, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them
.

3. The Sent Word Transforms Lives, And Changes Stories

Romans 12:2 KJV
[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

2 Corinthians 3:18 KJV
[18] But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The transformation we keep seeing is the product of the Word of GOD
FATHER, we thank YOU, because we have never had a famine of the Word,
FATHER, we thank YOU for the rain of YOUR Word in Jesus name

PoliticsMayor Dele Oshinowo Denies Involvement In Owode-onirin Market Demolition by Godspowerpro(op): 12:38pm On Apr 24, 2025
Urges Hon. Kafilat Ogbara to Verify Claims Before Public Commentary

By Oki Samson

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD

The demolition of the popular market known for its specialty in motor spare parts, Owode Onirin market situated in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA has come with a rude shock for those who own shops and those who buy products there. The same is for the Executive Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo who is also saddened that a revenue-generating cashcow for his LCDA has just been destroyed. But the hardworking Chairman is rather incensed by the allegations that he personally led, directly championed or indirectly supported the destruction of the market in order for him to build a residential estate, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

For Mayor Dele Oshinowo, the allegation is brewing and he has decided to state his own narrative. The allegation being pushed in a viral video online by the member of the Federal House of Representatives representing Kosofe federal constituency, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara to the public, he considers nothing short of a personal vendetta.

The Chairman observed that it is absolutely the prerogative of the Honorable Representative to visit the scene of an incident of such magnitude under her legislative capacity. He also observed that it is required for her to grant press interviews after such visits.

But he frowns at the fact that the Honorable Representative Kafilat Ogbara went ahead to cast aspersions on the efforts of the State Government, that of an unnamed Honourable! Commissioner, his person as the Chairman, and the Agboyi-Ketu LCDA leadership without making recourse to get adequate information before making her claims. And that not to mainstream media but flying a video on social media to gain cheap political likes and for rumour-mongers to throw around is very unbecoming of a leader, that he respects.

For Mayor Dele Oshinowo, he would rather have loved that the Honorable Representative seek adequate information about what has led to the unfortunate situation, what is being done by those who are really on ground, so that they can jointly seek ways to find a solution. With such a move, things would have been properly placed in the public eye and for posterity's sake.

Hon. Oshinowo in a press statement he personally e-signed and made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP to set the record straight. 'I wish to address recent developments pertaining to Owode-Onirin Market, particularly a circulating video featuring Honourable Chief Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara. In the said video, while addressing a crowd at the Owode-Onirin Spare Parts Market, Hon. Ogbara mentioned claims made by an unnamed Honourable Commissioner in Lagos State to the effect that, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA was responsible for the demolition of a part of the Owode-Onirin Spare Parts market, and that the State Government was collaborating with the Council on the demolition.'

'I want to categorically state that neither I, as Executive Chairman, nor Agboyi-Ketu L.C.D.A., the council I lead, played any role (whether major or minor) in the demolition that took place at Owode-Onirin Market and I believe Hon. Ogbara may have been misinformed regarding this issue. The demolition was carried out by the Olowu Family and their agents.'

'On the day of the incident, I, along with several of my staff members, was tear-gassed while attempting to halt the demolition. Since that day, I have been facing harassment through over five (5) petitions filed against me by the Olowu Family at various police commands, including Alagbon Police Command, Ikoyi, Kam Salem Headquarters Annex, Obalende and the Force Headquarters, Abuja. These acts stem from my strong efforts to protect the market from their attempts at takeover. Just last week, they initiated contempt proceedings against me in Suit No: ID/1757/1994—Mr. Femi Festus Olowu & Anor vs. Mayor Dele Oshinowo & Anor—claiming that I am obstructing the enforcement of a court order that they allege entitles them to occupy a portion of the market.'

'For some time now, I have been dedicated to defending the interests of the traders at Owode-Onirin Market, often at significant personal and financial cost. It saddens me to then hear baseless rumors suggesting my involvement in the market's demolition; such claims are utterly false. As the Executive Chairman, I regard the Owode-Onirin Market as a vital public asset, and I am committed to safeguarding it from appropriation by private individuals. I assure you that neither the Council nor the State Government has plans to convert the market land into a residential estate, as has been suggested in the said video.'

'Owode-Onirin Market is, and will remain, a thriving marketplace, essential for the livelihoods of its traders and revenue generating earner for the LCDA. In light of the demolition of the market by the Olowu Family, I am actively engaging with Mr. Governor, the Honourable Attorney General, and other key State Government officials to find a peaceful resolution to this matter, in order to facilitate an environment where our traders can operate without disruption.'

He pleaded: 'As partners in progress for the betterment of our local communities, I had hoped that Hon. Ogbara would have reached out to me to verify her information rather than perpetuating harmful rumours regarding the Council’s involvement in the said demolition. Therefore, I respectfully urge Hon. Ogbara to refrain from making unverified political statements that could escalate tensions in our Community and instead collaborate with both the State Government and Local Council to foster peace in the market, thereby promoting progress within our community and our dear State'.

'I urge everyone to dismiss any rumors linking myself or Agboyi-Ketu L.C.D.A. to the demolition that occurred in the Market on the 6th of March, 2025. My focus remains steadfast on protecting the market land from external pressures, ensuring that the best interests of our Council and the traders are upheld. Thank you for your understanding and continued support', the Executive Chairman, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, Mayor Dele Oshinowo concluded.

Thank You Jesus

HIV/AIDS: Health Experts, Rights Advocates Meet In Lagos To Tackle Discrimination Of Persons Living With Condition

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD

By Oki Samson

Health experts, rights advocates, and other stakeholders from across various parts of the country are gathering in Lagos for a 3-day stakeholders meeting to review strategies and metrics for the implementation of the HIV/AIDS anti-discrimination act 2014, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.

The law which is targeted at addressing the discrimination of persons living with HIV/AIDS in different strata of society is a demonstration of 'Nigeria's commitment to ending the stigma and discrimination associated with HIV', the Executive Secretary/CEO of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Dr. Tony Ojukwu stated as he declared the conference open today Wednesday 23rd April 2025.

The stakeholders' meeting is themed Promoting Legal, Policy, and Institutional Protection of the Rights of Key and Vulnerable Populations in Nigeria.

The Executive Secretary/CEO of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), Dr. Tony Ojukwu in his address cited about the 2014 Act. 'The HIV and AIDS Anti-Discrimination Act of 2014 is a landmark piece of legislation that underscores Nigeria’s commitment to ending the stigma and discrimination associated with HIV. The Act prohibits discrimination on the basis of HIV status in employment, education, healthcare, and other spheres of public life. It guarantees the rights of people living with HIV to privacy, access to justice, and protection from abuse.'

'The Act has inspired state-level legislations offering similar protections to persons living and affected by HIV/AIDS. However, despite the progress made since the passage of this Act, implementation gaps remain, and challenges persist at various levels—from awareness and understanding of the law to enforcement and access to remedies for victims of discrimination. From workplaces to access to health services, and educational and religious settings have seen discrimination of various kinds violating the rights of persons living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.'

He encouraged the conference attendees to 'Review the current status of implementation of the HIV and AIDS Anti-Discrimination Act; Identify gaps in awareness, enforcement, and access to justice; Assess and identify legislative gaps within the Act itself and propose necessary amendments to make the law more robust, inclusive, and impactful; Design strategies to strengthen institutional responses and improve protection mechanisms for victims of discrimination; And most importantly, to galvanize support and commitment from all sectors to ensure that the promise of the 2014 Act becomes a reality for every Nigerian affected by HIV.'

'This forum also seeks to enhance cross-sector collaboration, recognizing that human rights protection in the context of health cannot be achieved in isolation. We must continue to work with the Ministries of Health, Justice, Labour, and Education, the National and State Agencies on AIDS as well as civil society and development partners, to build a holistic and sustainable framework that upholds the rights and dignity of all people. Your insights and recommendations over the course of this meeting will be pivotal in informing the Commission’s future programs and national advocacy. Our goal is to develop a comprehensive action plan that addresses both the structural barriers and legal shortcomings, and that paves the way for inclusive, rights-respecting policies and practices', Ojukwu remarked.

Another speaker at the first day of the stakeholders' event, Deputy Director, Community Prevention and Cure Services, Head Gender and Human Rights Department, National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA), Dr. Chukuwgozie Ujam indicated that Nigeria has made tangible progress in the journey since HIV was first discovered in the early 80s as the country started treatment programs for persons living with HIV in 1986 but rued the misinformation which is still out there about the scourge.

He, however, warned 'while HIV is managed well, AIDS is largely controlled and the prevalence rate has fallen, people have started becoming careless. So we want to sustain the message out there about abstinence, protection or prevention measures. We want people to continue testing because we haven't tested everybody who is potentially living with the virus.'

On the halt in support by USAID embarked upon by Pres. Donald Trump, the NACA deputy director said: 'The United States has coughed and we've all caught the cold. So there are certain proclamations that have been made, but as a country we've been able to say that we are responsible for our brothers and sisters. You may not be infected by the virus, but you're well affected by the virus. So what we need to do is to ensure that there's no break in the treatment program. The Ministry of Health has brought out a significant amount of money to ensure that not just HIV but even for malaria and TB to ensure that the treatment programs for these important people in our country can continue.'

Agege LGA Chairmanship Race: Agege Renewed Hope Movement Calls For Restraint In Candidate's Endorsement, Demands Clean Democratic Process

By Oki Samson

Citing that it is unclear to what end, eminent sons and daughters of Agege under the aegis of Agege Renewed Hope Movement, have decried attempts in certain quarters to endorse a player when the game has not even started in a move which is tantamount to imposition of candidates. 'Such practices connotes unprofessionalism, intimidation, and disarray within the All Progressives Congress (APC) fold', the sociopolitical group hinted as it calls for cautious optimism as the party marches to victory in the upcoming LGA/LCDA elections in Agege local government area and across Lagos State.

The group comprising eminent sons and daughters of Agege who have, in one way or another, been impacted by the community and have moved on to prominence both in Nigeria and in the Diaspora hinted: 'While the political season has commenced with declaration of interest from some members of the party and others might still come up, the fact remains that only those who buy the APC Chairmanship nomination forms will be eligible to be deemed aspirants with clear and acceptable manifestos. It is after this stage that party primaries will be conducted through a level playing ground for all aspirants to show their popularity and acceptance to produce the eventual candidate to fly the party's flag in the State LGA/LCDA elections of July 2025. So why the rush?'

The group indicated that untoward gestures such as this from party leadership and some stakeholders may indicate a blatant disregard for electoral guidelines and democratic norms and principles. This is not expected of Nigeria's governing party, All Progressives Congress APC, which has grown numerically wide and systematically deep in all 36 states and FCT. This position is affirmed by the clarity and openness which trailed the process that produced His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR as the APC's presidential flagbearer and consequently the President and Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the country at the 2023 general election in the Country.

'This may breed mistrust and anger among the vast membership who ought to work for the party's victory, undermine the party's internal democracy, and erode the citizenry's love and interest in the party', the group highlighted its concerns.

It urged the party's leadership and stakeholders across Agege Local government area to allow the fundamentals of democracy to take their proper place in the ongoing electioneering process by respecting the right of every member and aspirants, affirming the importance of free and fair primaries, and offering a level playing field for all APC members and aspirants in Agege who aspire to the no. 1 job in the LGA. When this is done, the group believes, that a winner would have emerged clearly and be magnanimous in victory while those who lose will feel seen and heard and will support the party's supremacy gallantly.

Agege Renewed Hope Movement is a sociopolitical group of thought leaders and change agents who are set out to be the voice for the voiceless, the hope for the hopeless, and the help for the helpless within Agege in particular and beyond the land. It comprises passionate and eminent personalities of Agege extraction in their respective spheres of influence conglomerating to ensure that Agege being a multicultural, economically viable, multi-religious, and politically conscious hub should continue to enjoy the development, unity, and peace which it is known for.

How DPO ManCenter, CSP Ayo Elijah Rejected N20 Millionaire Bribe From Arrested Ritual Suspects

By Oki Samson
GODSPOWERPROJECT

Does Nigeria have quality police officers with a good record of honesty and integrity? Yes, she does. Not all Police officers are bad, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report.

The remarkable story of the DPO of the ManCenter police division, CSP Ayo Elijah who recently demonstrated sheer integrity with the rejection of a Twenty Million Naira (NGN 20 Millionaire) bribe to cover up a criminal case is one fantastic example of several faithful Police officers in the Nigeria Police Force who are working quietly to keep our society safe and secure.

Acting on an Intel from a taxi driver that a young woman is held captive in an Ikeja hotel, CSP Ayo Elijah personally led his team to Definite Destiny Hotel, Balogun, Ikeja where the lady was tied with heavy chains on both hands and feet with the mouth also under lock inside one of the hotel rooms by two men who had severally raped her and possibly might have killed her but for the timely intervention of the ManCenter DPO.

The woman had been picked from Murtala Mohammed International Airport to the hotel by the taxi driver. Perhaps seeing that she is in deep trouble, the lady sent a SOS message to the taxi driver who promptly involved the Police.

The two suspects, realizing that the only way they could be left off the hook, decided to bribe CSP Ayo Elijah with the huge sum indicating that they would make the transfer immediately if he played ball with them.

Not denying the ethics of his profession, CSP Ayo Elijah who won the prestigious Trek Africa Best DPO of the Year 2024 award last December and recently The Pride Newspaper Most Outstanding DPO of the Year stood his ground against the huge tempting cash reward. It is believed that the MAN Center's DPO, CSP Ayo Elijah will continue to demonstrate standards, honesty, and integrity in his policing career.

Bunmi Oluyadi; Special Adviser (Arewa matters) to Ikeja LGA Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu; Royal fathers, Seriki of Ikeja; PCRC Area F leaders and members such as Oyeniyi Oluwaniyi, who is the Chairman of the PCRC Alausa Division, Elder Samuel Akande, Chairman of the PCRC Ojodu Division, the Arewa community, the Igbo community, and other security stakeholders in Ikeja, Lagos.

While acknowledging the Area F Commander, ACP Paul Azuka Okafor as 'authentic Area Commander', the CP commended the DPOs under the area command for co-operating with their Area Commander.

Of special note, the Commissioner of Police who resumed in Lagos on 18th February 2025, CP Moshood Jimoh noted the cordiality which exists between the DPOs in Area F in particular and the PCRC in their communities. He revealed that 'Unlike other States, where PCRC leaders would write various petitions against the DPOs because of disagreement and communication issues, you are better. I specifically thank the National Chairman of the PCRC, Alhaji Mogaji for the roles that the PCRC played before, during and after the EndSARS issue. The PCRC were the ones in the forefront of engaging the communities.'

To accentuate the stance of the CP, the Arewa community in Ikeja led by their leaders, Special Adviser on Arewa matters to Ikeja LGA Chairman, Alhaji (Hon.) Ibrahim Adamu, Seriki Hausawa, Ikeja, Mallam Musa Abdullah; District Head, Anifowoshe, Aliyu Ibrahim; Secretary, Arewa Community, Mohammed M. Umar; Adviser, Danjuma Mohammed; Treasurer, Ali Mohamed, and Assistant Secretary, Abdul Ibrahim were vociferous in their acknowledgement of the peaceful coexistence and community building style deployed by the DPO of the ManCenter division, CSP Ayo Elijah.

The Special Adviser (Arewa matters) to Ikeja LGA Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu speaking on behalf of the Arewa community commended the DPO of MANCENTER division, CSP Ayo Elijah for enthroning community policing ideals and championing a pro-community stance in all of his activities. He hinted: 'There is a serious and good relationship between the Arewa community and the DPO in ManCenter Police Station, CSP Ayo Elijah.
For instance, in the Arewa community, there was a time when drug abuse was a serious problem to us. We have been having different DPOs before him which we always report to them but we have not seen a result.'

'But the current DPO has helped us tackle many of these challenges and there's peace in the community now.
The Arewa community in Ikeja is drug-free now. I would like to use this opportunity to thank the DPO of ManCenter Police station, CSP Ayo Elijah. I would really appreciate that.'

Adamu added: 'Also, I would like to thank him because he is not like other DPOs in the past that their communication is very poor. When anything happens, my people will come to me, because I'm the Special Adviser (SA) to the Chairman of Ikeja Local Government on Arewa Matters. They will come to my office, they will come to my business place and complain to me. Now that we have this DPO, things are different. It has never been so, I have been living in Lagos for 24 years now, so I know a lot of things happening in Ikeja.'

The structure of Area F Police Command comprises 9 divisions. The divisions are Ikeja, Alausa, Ojodu, Makinde, ManCenter, Akinpelu, Shogunle, Mosafejo, and Ilupeju, with four police posts.

It is worthy of note that last week, the DPO of ManCenter division, CSP Ayo Elijah was named The Pride Newspaper Most Outstanding DPO of the Year. He also won the prestigious Trek Africa Awards as the Trek Africa Best DPO of the Year 2024 last December, 2024. It is believed that the MAN Center's DPO, CSP Ayo Elijah will not rest on his oars to promote the ideals of community policing in his policing job.

It's New Dawn For Agege As Multiple Achiever, Grassroots Political Mobilizer; Hon. Taiwo Olasunkanmi Vies For Chairmanship

By Oki Samson

Agege LGA, one of Lagos' longstanding local governments, is set for a New Dawn in its political firmament and socioeconomic development. This is as the LGAs/LCDAs electioneering process in Lagos is in full swing. A grassroots political gladiator and a phenomenal business leader, school administrator, teacher, political mobilizer and philanthropist steps into the contest, Trek Africa Newspaper can report.

The man is Hon. Taiwo Olasunkanmi Samuel (fondly called TOS). Boasting an impressive track record in education, entrepreneurship, real estate, community development, and social good, Hon. TOS is primed to revitalize and reposition the Agege local government administration for greatness.

The visionary leader, successful entrepreneur, and dedicated school administrator is the Founder of SAMDOL Private School, 'a low cost school that helps the less-privileged children that their parents could not afford high-end schools. The school does not discriminate on the basis of cost. It offers quality education even to children who attend the school based on scholarships.'

'Many of those children have gone ahead to become high-flyers in different human endeavors and some are out of the country. I have precious memories from these children. I was excited when one of my pupils then became the senior prefect in Government College in Agege. One of them who went to UNILAG came out with First Class and did his Masters degree in University of Ibadan. Another one was calling my attention one day I was on the queue at GTB, she said can you recognize me and said I know you are my proprietor in SAMDOL Private School. These are memories which give me joy and make me proud to be a teacher.'

Hon. TOS, as a community mobilizer, is the Convener of Agege Renewed Hope Movement, a sociopolitical group of thought leaders and change agents who are set out to be the voice for the voiceless, the hope for the hopeless, and the help for the helpless within Agege in particular and beyond the land. Agege Renewed Hope Movement which is a sociopolitical group that comprises passionate and eminent personalities of Agege extraction in their respective spheres of influence is set out to ensure that Agege being a multicultural, economically viable, multi-religious, and politically conscious hub should continue to enjoy the development, unity, and peace which it is known for.

Taiwo's burning passion for Agege is built on his practical experience having lives and witnessed firsthand the tremendous transformation which has happened to the predominantly agrarian community of the 1980s to today's modern city. He believes more can be done when culture shapers like himself come into the Ijaiye road Headquarters office of the LGA.

Coming into politics with his massive background impact in education, real estate, community development, business, and philanthropy, Hon. Taiwo Olasunkanmi Samuel has a 5-Point Agenda.

- Economic empowerment targeted at stimulating MSMEs, creating jobs for youths, skills acquisition and facilitating economic growth.

-Quality education, which aims to increase access to qualitative primary and secondary education, improving educational outcomes and building new school infrastructure while resuscitating dilapidated ones.

-Community development, to enhance social services, infrastructure, and community facilities.

-Healthcare, which will improve the general state of primary healthcare facilities across the entire local council so as to boost the health accessibility and public confidence of Agege citizens.

-Transparency and accountability, this is the thrust upon which the Chairmanship aspirant intends to promote good governance, security, transparency, and accountability in local council projects and operations
.

As July approaches, Hon. Taiwo Olasunkanmi Samuel is primed to win the Chairmanship ticket at the primaries of his party, All Progressives Congress (APC) and then, go on to defeat other party opponents at the upcoming general elections.

Hon. Taiwo calls on the entire Agege population to join hands to support his quest.

Thank You Jesus

JB Farms Huge Investment in Ondo State Agriculture Sector • Gov. Aiyedatiwa Hails Ajibola Adebutu's Grand Investment In Agriculture

By Oki Samson

Ondo State is historically a giant in agriculture which is the mainstay of the economy of Nigeria. This is despite being listed as one of the states rich in crude oil and other minerals in Nigeria, Trek Africa Newspaper reports.

For a long time, Ondo State has been the biggest producer of cocoa in Nigeria. Further, the state is blessed with large fields of fertile soil which supports high yield of oil palm, rubber, cassava, among others cash and food crops.

This is why the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Gov. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has vowed to continue to support initiatives which will bring back the glory days of Ondo State in agriculture. His efforts are beginning to yield immense gains as one of the largest agricultural investments in the recent history of the state has just been established. This is the JB Palm Plantation and Processing Mill, Ore, Ondo State which is bankrolled by the Managing Director/CEO of JB Farms limited, Mr. Ajibola Adebutu, MON in the oil-rich State.

The remarkable investment by Mr. Ajibola Adebutu is a significant milestone in Ondo State's progression towards taking back its pride of place as leader of the agricultural revolution in Southwest Nigeria, nay Nigeria as a whole. This huge investment in oil palm production which is needed for food products like cooking oil, margarine, soaps, cosmetics, and biofuels will undoubtedly set Ondo State as the hub for agricultural production and processing.

On the other hand, this grand investment by Ajibola Adebutu may also help to reverse the trend of kidnapping and criminality in Ondo South Senatorial district where it is located. The place was a hiding haven for criminals as it used to be a thick forest.

Paying a working visit to the JB Farms in Ore, the visibly elated Executive Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa stated: 'This is a very large plantation. It is the biggest I have seen. So much has gone into this place including road infrastructure. This is about 400km of roads leading to the various clusters in this farm. They have taken it to another level. We have to support large scale mechanized farmers. We will give them all the required support, security, and enabling environment.'

While appreciating the Governor for his visit, Mr. Adebutu noted that this oil palm investment 'is capable of producing about 800 tonnes of palm fruit everyday. With this, security wise, kidnappers will not have a place to hide. We are encouraging people. We are challenging people to invest because this is part of the future of Nigeria.'

Governor Aiyedatiwa also planted a palm tree in the Farms to affirm his unrivalled commitment to promoting food sufficiency, sustainable agriculture and profitable agribusiness in the state.

Psalm 150:6 KJV
[6] Let every thing that hath breath Praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD

Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa, with the modern state taking its present territorial shape as a result of 19th Century British colonialisation.

It became independent in 1960 and saw a 1967-70 civil war when the breakaway state of Biafra declared its independence. This was followed by a series of military dictatorships and civilian governments until achieving a stable democracy in the 1999 presidential elections.

Nigeria is a multinational state inhabited by more than 250 ethnic groups speaking over 500 distinct languages. The three largest ethnic groups are the Hausa in the north, Yoruba in the west, and Igbo in the east.

1. Abia
Abia is an acronym from the four main groups of people in the state as at the time it was formed in 1991: Aba Bende Isuikwuato Afikpo.

2. Adamawa
Adamawa was named after a warrior, Modibbo Adama Bin Ardo Hassan, that conquered the region in the beginning of the 19th century.

'Bauchi’ is Hausa word meaning the southern flanks of Hausaland. Tribes living in the southern parts of the Hausaland were referred to as "kasashen bauchi" and the area they lived in later came to be known simply as Bauchi.

Bayelsa is a combination of the acronyms of three local government areas which were pulled out of old Rivers state — Brass LGA known as BALGA, Yenegoa LGA known as YELGA and Sagbama LGA known as SALGA. in the formation of their names is BA + YEL + SA

7. Benue
The state was named after the "europeanised" corruption of 'Binuwe', the Batta word for ‘Mother of Waters’.

8. Borno
The alternative name of the Kanuris, the predominant ethnic group in the state, is 'Borno' which gave inspiration for the naming of the state.

13. Ekiti
‘Okiti’ is a term that is said to denote a settlement of many hills. It later became 'Ekiti'.

14. Enugu
Due to the many hills and rocky terrain in the area, the people named it in igbo, "Enu Ugwu" meaning "top of the hill". The state is named after the anglicised version, Enugu.

15. Gombe
Gombe is the dialect of Fulani language (Fulfulde) spoken in the area.

16. Imo
Just like many of the Nigerian states, Imo took its name from the popular river, Imo Mmiri.

Komadugu Yobe (Waube or Ouobe) or River Yobe (or River of Yo) inspired the name of the state.

FCT: Abuja
Abuja was gotten from the name Abubakar-JA a very prominent man that resided in the city called Abuja now. however because Abubakar is abbreviated as "Abu" in the Hausa language over time the name Abubakar-Ja was abbreviate to ABUJA.
