Their immigration are so hostile to Nigerians national .I have two bitter experience with them. One, in 2001, I went on holiday from UK because I still have two years SA residency permit on my Nigeria passport. I was allowed to enter the country, when I was returning back to the UK after my holiday, the visa was cancelled on my way out .The official went to the extent of drawing two line on the visa. Still remained on my old Nigerian passport till today. Secondly. In 2009,I travelled from Nigeria to South Africa on UK passport and on the point of entry a lot of Nigerian were returned back despite having valid visa on their passport. I was forced to take their yellow vaccine card at 100 dollars on the point of entry with one bogus injection. In short , they are not very nice to Nigerians. They hate us .They don't pretend. The attack was supported by the South African government.

If the man na Nigeria the whole world will hear in more than millions languages. The news will not be minimal like this. Nigeria still dey learned from this people. We get master.

If you are travelling to the UK, you only need to present your British passport. However, when/if you are coming back to Nigeria for whatever reason, you will need your Nigerian passport or an entry visa on your British passport.

Having said that, it is to my understanding that you can only apply for a British passport from the British consulate in the country where you currently reside. Currently, first time application of a British passport must be PRESENT for biometric data capture etc. How your passport got sent from the UK is a mystery to me but maybe yours is an EXCEPTIONAL case.

. The Op is right that is how it is done. I had my 2 kids in Nigeria after I got my British citizen. I applied for them and submitted the requirements. They got the passport while they had never step the shore of the UK. They follow the law and they give U if are qualified.

U are right ,those guys re write Nigeria history on world stage. I will tell U this, I worked as a mental health Nurse at a mental health hospital in South Africa. I was the only Nigeria in the whole of the hospital in the 90s. They called me all sort of names like Yekinni, Finidi , Okocha, Amunike, Amokachi. Because of that anytime we were having football game together , they expect me to be like Okocha or Finidi. Those guys had laid records that would be difficult to erase in the world. Kudos to them.

No need to look sad. Some had gone home at groups stages. At least ,they played all their seven matches. Relaxed with your family. U are good ambassador of our country. This is gross misinformation. He could have said 40% are underemployed but unemployed is a no no and a big lie. I have never seen a serious unemployed doctor in Nigeria except if he or she is picky about jobs, then salary or disadvantaged about locations if outside the cities i. e Lagos and Co. The reason why I might agree they are underemployed is because they are not being paid their worth in most private hospitals irrespective of the profit the hospital makes and the cause of this is still the doctors, they own the hospital.

Besides , private hospital is not as lucrative as it was used to be years back. A lot of people don't have money to attend hospital. Herbal medication has also taking over some of the Orthodox treatment's. Internet awareness is also there. If U are suffering from a common headache U just go straight to google and find the answer to the treatment. Aside, quackery is on the increase for cheaper treatment which make it difficult for people to patronize hospital own by doctors. Where is the money to pay them.
