Igbo are terrible people. See them defending him. It is the same set of people who will criticise Otedola or Dangote who never worked for any organisation, be it govt or private.

When you are doing well and you are not from their tribes, they will always say negative things about you. But if you are a crook from their tribe, you are seen as a hero.
An Igbo priest told me one day how much he hated Dangote just because he felt Innonson was supposed to be richer than Dangote if govt had patronised him
It is the same people who laid the foundation for all the woes Nigeria is facing today in Jan 1965 coup
They just hate to see others better than them.

zanshi:
One thing Buhari and Northern politicans have exhibited over the past few years is their temerity in not playing fair and showing disregard for other political parties they merged with in 2015
They came for NPDP member; Saraki and Atiku's PDP faction nobody talked. They further went to sideline all other political parites who made APC what is today and replaced them with political non-starters, nobody talked. They Northerners in key positions sidelining others just because they have power, nobody talked. Now, they are hell bent on grapping unto power 2023 because they are insecure of what the future holds.

Guys listen!!! It is not about Tinubu, because Tinubu remained resolute and gave Buhari the resources and space to operate in full capacity as president. Even when his loyalist questioned his descion in supporting a man who isn't a reformed democrat at best, he told them to hold their ground and give maximum loaylity to Muhammdu Buhari. The issue is that Fulani/Hausa get very insecure when power leaves their grip knowing fully well that they have held on to power for over 35+ years with little or nothing to show for it. If you look aback at the happenings that occured on the 1993 elections if Tofa had won the election as a Northerner, would Ibrahim Babangida had called off the election?

Jonathan and Obasanjo as far as i am concerned remains the only president in the history of Nigeria that have created a level playing ground in modern day politics, with a bit of fairness, dont get me wrong, they both made their fair share of mistakes which i bet they still regret today, but they are no way comparable to the disaster called Muhammdu Buhari.

They way forward

If the Northern cabals still decide to want to retain power to the North, no problem. All governors in southern Nigeria should not consent to the 2023 elections and opt for Odudwa republic and Biafra republic which make Northern Nigeria a country of their own. We need our differences as Southerners aside and think with logic.
@the bolded, you capture this so well.

masterP042:
The church today lack power, hardly you see or hear of any miracle these days, they're so much after increasing their membership. If what they preach actually works, they wouldn't struggle much to attract members, I don't see the apostles in the bible praying and crying over increase in membership, increase occurs naturally when there's manifestation of power. When people see results, they wouldn't be coerced to join a trend or association..

I don't want to talk about misappropriation of church funds, motivational messages and other things op mentioned.
I'm more interested in this membership drive, cos I attend winners, and I'm so tired of this membership drive abi church growth, every prayer point is all about bringing members, Nigeria is on fire, economy in shambles, Leah Sharibu in bondage, Heavenly race not yet achieved, all these topics to pray about, but no, 90 percent of their prayer is church growth.. It cannot be forced. Show that power apostles displayed in the bible, if 5 popular sick or mad people in a town are healed, the church will not contain people.
Imagine sometime last year, some of our full-time pastors were not paid because the church did not "grow".
More members, more money that's the drift. Ministry has become hustling and branding for our pastors. We now have a generation of lazy pastors who think there's easy money to make in church and they are misleading an entire young generation with this scam and anyone who speak up is seen as attacking the church.

I think they did so with their governors bt it failed hence they want national attention.

How exactly do we stop the money worshipping causing the corruption plague? undecided
our governors need to do the work they were actually voted for, the FG cannot solve most of these challenges, job acquisition skills is what local and state govt shoud be doing. the governors need to stop the hide and seek game by shifting most of the responsibilities to the fg. basic primary healthcare, basic education like primary and sec sch including vocational institutions and not varsities is what any state govt should do for its citizens. \that is not too much to ask for. we need to be treated like human beings and not beggars. all these empowerment schemes and programs are all scams. give people the basics

I didn’t say give amnesty to bokoharam or to all bandits. Some are mislead and want reforms why not reform them if it’s genuine? undecided

Our criminal politicians what have we done to them besides rewarding them by voting for them again? undecided
the reforms they desire if true are local and not national, let their state governments handle their problems and not make it everybody's wahala, as for the criminal politicians, it's also a local issue cos every politician is a product and a true reflection of the community he hails from. That's where to start by making sure such characters are not allowed to be representatives of our communities if we truly don't reflect such values. But since we we have made money our object of worship which is also causative factor of all the madness we are seeing today, then corruption will continue to hold sway in our polity

Criminals and criminals, have u done anything about our corrupt criminal politicians? undecided

Crimes are handled differently based on the issue at hand. Even in ISIL’s case government at some point allowed mislead or forced members of the terrorist group return. That was a way to reduce innocent casualties.

Niger delta is not as bad as b4 or it wud have been if on all out war was allowed to happen. U talk tough like u have a 1 solution fix it all bt that is impossible and not practical. There are different situations with criminals, bandits or militants and u must address them uniquely or u will aggravate the situation till u have no country. America has not killed its own people in mass because they want to stop a crime. Situations differ

I never said farmers shudnt be compensated. undecided
the fastest way to be compensated in Nigeria is to carry arms, if everyone start bearing arms like bandits, you think anyone will have time to listen to anybody? no case is different if there is no justice for all. it's a cycle that will never end

Do u know how to prevent a war? When u see a sensible opportunity to avoid a confrontation or war Don’t u consider it? That was what osinbajo did with niger delta issue when Buhari wanted to bring the military.

Yahoo is been stop only on a minimal, probably only 10/30 % of yahoo boys are being disturbed or stopped.

We have always criticized yahoo and some even supported them here while we call out government as the main problem. Yahoo boys are still cashing out if u don’t know.

Drug dealers are also there. So this is a vice like any other and needs to be addressed the best and effective way possible.
Criminals are criminals anyway and anywhere and must be seen to be treated as same no matter what region they are from. We have romanced criminals too much in this country all in the name of preventing war yet the war does not end. Boko haram has not ended despite amnesty, niger delta militants are still there, bandits were given amnesty in katsina and zamfara still it has not ended.

The law against crime and humanity must be upheld if we are truly seeking justice and equity especially for the victims and families of these madness. Give them amnesty and the children of the victims will arise against the country tomorrow. There are victims of yahoo boys, militants, terrorists or bandits, if we want to appease them, we must also appease the victims. You can't compensate a cattle rearer and not compensate the farmer who is a victim. We need to think deeply, if not we are not chasing shadows

Every region is prone to certain vices when there no alternatives. Why do u think we have many yahoo boys? Massive corruption everywhere not just in government? Banditry is what they found as an alternative because of the make up of the region and what’s readily available to them.

They have asked to intervene so they find better things to do and Ure still complaining and saying other things. If in doubt let government do their investigations. undecided
Are yahoo boys being given a breathing space like these bandits? Efcc keep going after the yahoo boys but who is going after the bandits.

By your submission, you accept that some crimes are more justified than others.

Amnesty like we have seen in the niger delta can never reduce crimes and criminal gangs. If the govt like let them give them amnesty, it will only breed more bandits, period.

This cannot be a national problem, there are poultry farmers and other livestock farmers who suffer total losses due to all manner of disasters, do you see them coming out to blame anybody or become a nuisance to anyone? This cattle noise is all blackmail and nothing more. Don't they have local govt chairman and state governors to cry to.

Don't get it twisted, no one is desiring his return except the Northern cabals that removed him in the first place! They're now selfishly trying to bring him back knowing he can only rule for 4 years so that they would take over again after 4 years and continue ruling Nigeria! They don't want another Southerner who they know will want to rule for 8 years!

Don't be gullible, it's all about selfishness of the North and their penchant to dominate the South always. It's never about the good of Nigeria! The same person they called all manner of names and claimed he was so corrupt everyday and mismanaged Nigeria when oil prices were high is the same person they want to bring back??

Nigerians will be foolish to fall for this rubbish and Jonathan will even be a bigger fool to accept this offer knowing the reason behind it.
There is already a constitutional amendment signed by Buhari some years ago that if you as vice President or deputy governor complete the tenure of your boss, you can only contest election for one term and not go for a second term. Those asking GEJ to contest are only making a fool of Nigerians

The northerners are not only the problem in Nigeria, even these our brothers across the Niger and along the coast are another huge problem in this country. There are a lot of Yoruba settlers in the north and other places down south but you will never hear them making any wahala.

That's why I tell people who want Nigeria to divide that it's only a pipe dream as most folks will simply deny their original heritage and take up citizenship of Yorubaland. The Nigeria division tune na child's play rhymes
Politics › Re: Ijaws Reject Adoption Of Odua Anthem In Ondo by Goke7: 11:04am On Feb 24, 2021
undue interference in other people's affairs is the major problem in Nigeria. The Yorubas live everywhere in Nigeria and do not interfere with the culture of any other tribe in Nigeria as hosts or exercise and force their will on anyone. If Yorubas and hausas are fighting, it's in Yorubaland, if igbos and yorubas are fighting it's in Yorubaland. The Yorubas do not fight with their hosts or anywhere they are a minority. In Kogi state despite the huge population of Yorubas they do not force their will on the Igbiras or Igalas who are in the majority.

It's time other tribes take it easy and do not become so overbearing on Yoruba soil. That in itself in gross injustice

The proof is in the public domain. His eight years reign reinforced thurgery in Lagos State. Though we had pockets of area boys here and there before he became the governor of the state, his reign encouraged the spread because he sort of turned the other eye while urchins terrorised the state. That's why people like Olu Omo and his likes are so loyal to him. They reverence him a lot and see him as a demi god.
let's not be hypocritical, is there any state in Nigeria that does not have street urchins terrorizing people here and there? should we blame Tinubu for that too. You even admitted the urchins were there before he became Governor and that alone counter whatever claim you're trying to make

Now this government must add to it by fixing the network of roads around there. That way the traffic should be much better.
The present govt could have abandoned it like Ambode himself abandoned some of Fashola projects so Sanwolu deserves some praise.

The Light rail project could have been completed by now if Ambode touched it
