TheStronghold: That's mainly the northern sympathetic nature to boko haram and their ideology. They can easily crush them but they see them as their brothers.
I've said this before but I'll say it again. If not for Nigeria and the problem it brings (over population on the southwest, reducing GDP per capita and job availability, over bearing our electricity capacity, even Osun has great electricity, that's because of low population) Yoruba Nation would've been like Egypt/ Morroco/South Africa by now. Nigeria is greatly holding Yorubas back.
The Greek are white, but they are not the same as the Germans at all. One country is barely sustainable, the other is an incredibly run, intelligent, and wealthy country. Yorubas are not the same as Fulanis. Igbos are smart and hardworking as well, but they lack the capacity to build a top tier nation as a group as they're too individualistic. Yorubaland that had the first tv station in Africa and the first skyscraper in sub Saharan Africa in1963, is struggling to build more in 2021. Clearly something has gone massively wrong. The difference between now and then is Yorubas controlled everything in the regional system, now decisions run through the central government, largely dominated by northern states. Nothing but the truth |

omonnakoda: Well nothing wrong in people owning their own for strict personal use There is a lot of that (scooters) in Rome Personal use to ride where? Apart from the logistics and delivery companies, okada should be banned totally. Years ago it was neighbouring countries like Benin and Togo that were using okadas and we were making jest of them. We never knew it will become this way in Nigeria. Are you aware that Kano and Kaduna don't have okadas in their city centre? Why tolerate it in Lagos |

forgiveness: Most of them are ignorant hence needs to be educated about the reality and facts on ground.
If not for this security issue we are facing, we would have done better than this. Most Africans come to Lagos and are shocked with the sophistication they see and in Abuja too. Even many cities and states capital have improved infrastructure over the years. Yes our politicians are thieves and it shows the enormous cash at their disposal to do more. As you said the security issue had really taken away lots of shine from us as a country but we can only hope for better days. Even folks from the west come here and are shocked with the level of technology in Nigeria. The Fintech and Financial sector is as good as what you have in the west reason the west keep prying away talents from Nigeria. Nigeria is bad yes, but it's because the best of its citizens are ruled by the worst of it's citizens |

Nigeria can develop all it wants, IPOBs will always hate it. They will forever rubbish Nigeria no matter what, that is why I'm for referendum. mhen, I just tire Tanzania for that matter |

forgiveness: Exactly! They see the good part and arrive at a conclusion those African countries are better than Nigeria.
Kenya is not better than Nigeria and their only best city Nairobi is surrounded by massive slums.
Not better than Abuja and Lagos in terms of infrastructural development.
Only South Africa is better than Nigeria in Sub Sahara Africa. Don't mind them, yes we have issues in Nigeria but same with these African nations and they aren't rich enough to build super infrastructure like SA. And on top of that only few nations like Nigeria and Ethiopia are truly independent economically. Most African nations are so dependent on the west including nations like Kenya and Ghana. The UN headquarters presence in Kenya is the advantage. |

Bialegend: Don't be daft. Tanzania is in all round better than your nigeria. Their capital city has more high rise buildings that Lagos state and Abuja put together. They have steady running water and steady electricity. They also have better road networks than your big-for-nothing nigeria. Their internet connections are top-notch. So, where do you want to start from to compare? You're exaggerating, electricity yes and if fixed there will no basis for comparison, but apart from the beautiful ferries that take people across to Zanzibar, I don't think there's anything more fanciful. |

forgiveness: Oga! Almost half of Dar es salaam is slum. Funny thing is that most of these guys who think other African nations are better haven't been there to see how those places truly are. Apart from Kenya(which is still debatable considering Nairobi alone and of course SA most African countries are not better than naija. African countries don't have the money Nigeria has even with the current situation |

For haters, every city in the world has got slums. Kiss the truth and stop the hate.
Lagos is the real Nigeria and the balancing factor for Nigeria's economy and not oil Lagos is the reason Nigeria has not become Venezuela. For the FG Lagos is more priority than Abuja but they won't come out and say it. |

I agree there is corruption...but if you don't run the power sector profitably....there won't be enough money to pay for improvements and such. It's only what's available we pay for. Let's stop all these lies. Nigerians are ready to pay for efficiency. Deliver and people will pay. Only failures make excuses |

pricklewane: I am yet to see anyone who supported Buhari, not holding political office or gaining contracts from him directly that is not regretting today.
Buhari is a lunatic, a disgrace n more put together. It is such a shame, imagine the governorship candidate being told to his face to lose up because of the foolishness of Buhari ?!
Nonetheless if it was Adeboye that did this I can bet Igbos will roast him alive the following morning. Yoruba those blind among you open you eyes n stop trading you people under the bus if Igbos are the ones asking for their head.
This is why Awo is demonized till date in Nigeria while Azikwe who we all know his visionless, lacking in foresight n unintelligent is not insulted by the same igbo. The same goes for the failure Ekweume but go online n see how Igbos insult Osinbajo daily calling him fake pastors n all that. Demanding he should resign while the likes of Onyeama foreign affair minister should not resign with Nigerians being beheadws daily across the globe.
What about Ngige cancelling salary to interns ? Ogbonna Onu is a minister today but nobody know what ministry he is maning. Compare this to how they scream till Adeosun resigned, after her resignation how well is Nigeria economy bouncing ? They were asking Fashola to honorably resign because he claim to found a camera at the toll gate. Imagine O ?!
Can you compare lying about finding a camera anywhere with daily beheading of Nigerians by Malaysia Singapore Indonesia Saudi Arabia etc. What about cancelling salary to interns by Ngige ? Why ain't Igbo demanding these failures to resign from Buhari's government or Igbos get 2 head ? This is why this thread will hardly reach 10 pages. You have busted their bubble with this point of yours. They will never call for the head of their own on a platter but call out others. Hypocrites indeed. |

AntonVince: Millions of sane Southerners are 100% with you on this.
Tinubu must be served a just desert for his 2015 treachery. They sowed the seed of discord and animosity amongst Southerners through their campaign of bitterness and calumny...all in a bid to spite Jonathan and Igbos.
He should look elsewhere for his votes. You guys are just funny, you forget how gej marginalized the SW with the backing of the igbos, just because the SW decided to go for the centre just like the igbos were enjoying with gej you now say the SW sowed seed of discord. You guys are just selfish and greedy, as far as you are fine others can go to hell. Look here the sw are not dumb, they will continue to put you guys where you truly belong and you will only cry, period. No presidential candidate right now can win without Tinubu backing. VULCAN: What a response.
So there was no way to air your views on earth before Social Media became dominant? Chaii.
Are you part of the FB generation?
Also Trump does not need Twitter to criticise anybody. He has been loud and vocal since the 80s.
Also I'm sure you are unaware that there are right wing media that will love to air any Trump criticism of Biden.
Trump is focused on his business now while planning to run again in 2024. He won't start campaigns just yet. Trump's power is the social media, it would have been much trouble for biden if Trump was still visible on social media. That's my point. I listened to his interview recently with his daughter in-law he did not spare biden. Even facebook and other platform quickly removed the interview. |

andepower: Most of the political big wigs from northern Nigeria are from the neighboring countries. Remember Shugaba, Ubah Ahmed... even Daura houses mostly Nigeriens Our borders especially the northern borders are just too porous, we are just living with lots of aliens, no wonder they do not give a damn if the country burns to the ground. Imagine katsina being pummeled by bandits and the president does not even care about his home state. Something is really amiss. Look at abacha the way he looted nigeria. These fellows don't just care mhen cos their citizenship are in doubt. It's no open secret the fulanis are not indigenous to Nigeria cos from the north eastern part to the north western part they claim so many states as their origin. When you look at tribes in Nigeria they are confined to a particular geographical space within Nigeria, the yoruba to the west, igbo to the east. You can't see a yoruba man from cross river or an igbo man from kwara. Tivs are confined to benue or taraba or neighboring states likewise nupes from kwara.and Niger states. But a fulani can claim far northeast of adamawa as his origin and another fulani claiming sokoto or niger state far northwest as his origin, mhen this is a scam indeed. We know where the swahilis in Africa are geographically located. Even the kanuris are located in the northeast spilling into neighbouring cameroon and Chad. But how can fulanis be from Guniea or Senegal and Nigeria the same time, poles apart omo e no balance at all. No wonder the restlessness in countries like mali and burkina faso. Something is amiss. No respect for boundaries, no trade or occupation should be an excuse for rubbish and nonsense |
