Very exciting to say the least, no wonder its three goals in first half
I trust Amunike with his attacking instincts... Give this our current SE squad and we will be beating teams 3:0, and 4:0 .

YoungAncient1: We have won two matches and qualified for the second round. But i must say the Super Eagles have been far from convincing in the two games played so far. And to say that we have the easiest group of the AFCON tournament says a lot about the quality of our side. The team should spend more time in training perfecting their passing game, set piece taking, attempt at goal / conversion and communication on the field of play. Also, as a TECHNICAL ADVISER, Gernot Rohr is not doing enough in terms of team's techniques and tactics. He should know his starting 11 and not be tinkering with the team's starting 11 from game to game unless when the change in the starting line up is absolutely necessary.
I will rate the team 6/10 because they improved in the second half. But if Guinea and Burundi are giving us problems, i wonder what will happen when we face Mali, Egypt, Ivory Coast or Senegal. Even Cameroon will trouble this team wella.
Last! Last!! We all want our team to do well. S same cameroun that saw red in uyo during wcq, abegi. football is funny. my wife always tells me that the SE are like chelsea, they can fumble against small teams but when it comes to big games, they rise to the occasion. make una chill o |

Politics › Re: Festus Adedayo : The Festus They Thought They Could Pull Down by Goke7: 1:33pm On Jun 21, 2019 |
usmanniya: After reading Festus Adedayo's account of his aborted appointment, I have now realised how shameless some people can be. Few days after bashing the process that produced Ahmad Lawan as Senate president, our guy was already in Ahmad Lawan's office for interview as media spox.
At his age and 'qualifications', he has to grovel before a man whose party and politics he consistently condemned. There are many opportunists like Festus who lurk around conflating their hustle with activism. I know of one 'young' presidential candidate in the last elections who is pushing his CV to a senior government official for job but will come on this platform and 'be forming woke.'
Our man now says the reversal is a blessing in disguise as he will now be able concentrate on his law school. The fact that he was willing to forego his law school education (with just two months to graduate) in order to take an appointment with the 'devils' he condemned speaks volumes about his desperation for the new job. He must be in 'severe pain' now!
I understand that the economy is harsh and I was reminded that people of Festus' age have school fees to pay and house rents to settle, together with many endless bills. But if you choose to take a career in government criticism, stay on your lane. You cannot condemn the devil in the morning and appear at his dining table in the evening. thank you jor, man must wack o, all those forming critics of the govt including those here on nairaland na job all of them dey find |

Politics › Re: Festus Adedayo : The Festus They Thought They Could Pull Down by Goke7: 8:49am On Jun 21, 2019 |
Bennycollins: The summary is that his appointment was withdrawn just because he criticized Buhari and APC. What a political party? Reuben Abati wrote articles criticising the pdp govt every week, but he became GEJ's spokesman later. Reuben is not a venomous critic, he remain one of Nigeria's best writers, very positive guy even in opposition! |
Politics › Re: Festus Adedayo : The Festus They Thought They Could Pull Down by Goke7: 8:47am On Jun 21, 2019 |
reason I don't take very harsh critics seriously cos na job dem dey find. Festus is now feeling how painful it is now. The last harsh critic in Nigeria to be taken seriously remain the one and only Gani Fawehinmi cos he had a life and was very content with his means of livelihood back then but all these so called critics of these days na food dem dey find. like someone has said earlier, stick to your principles and creed if you have any. Better luck next time Festus. I would have taken you more seriously if you never responded in this manner so all of a suddem Lawan is now the best hope for Nigeria cos you almost got a job from him, haba! |

Politics › Re: Obasanjo Accuses Buhari Of Corruption, Says He Tampered With EFCC And ICPC by Goke7: 7:26pm On Jun 12, 2019 |
Danwakae: How is he a liar ....For the establishment of ICPC and EFFC, he must be commended for that, also the Oputa Panel...Baba Buhari needs such panel presently to fast track the the countless corruption cases...
I was told that The SOUTHWESTERNERS are more respectful than we NORTHERNERS, but since started involving in social media I haven't seen such, but in reality that can't be said.
Despite some loops hole in Baba Buhari first term in office even with the killings in the north, u hardly see a northerner insulting Baba Buhari not even the opposition PDP, but u southerners mostly the EASTERNERS abuse our leaders any how as if they are kids.
The holy QU'RAN made us understand that in times of trial and maybe wrong doings we should respect and pray for our leaders and also in christianity via one of the pastor I respect so much, Baba Kumuyi said it is also wrong to insult or destructively criticize out leaders. According to scientist , as human cross the octogenarian stage , they starts losing there senses, I they r not wrong, that's why in the north we respect them irregardless of the knowledge we the today's children now have...
Despite the facts that Baba OBJ could have sinned against Nigeria in general, but I observed that most of the insults on him is mainly from the southwest including your leaders, WHAT'S THE HIS ISSUE WITH YOU PEOPLE
AS AN EX-BOY, WE WARE MADE TO UNDERSTAND THAT Baba OBJ is the last 5stars general alive and a battalion officer. U hardly see a Gneral in battalion let alone 5star....that's Why no matter what even Baba Buhari hardly reply him despite his public destructive criticism of his govt. The respect is still there as his senior and Baba Buhari worked in S andT, that r always under the control of battalion.
Baba OBASANJO has made more leaders in the north and south, south and south east than any of our leaders, including the number one in today politics Gov. Nasr El-Rufai, tho, in southwest Baba BAT has made more leaders than him, which I guess u most be one under his tutelage, but that doesn't warrant insult if u don't want your younger once to insult u in ur old age like Baba OBJ as we are all prone to mistake...
BRO STOP IT. if you must know, the major grouse most south westerners have against baba is not recognizing June 12 and his fellow egba man MKO Abiola, it's a shame that it is a Fulani man PMB that has done so, even GEJ [credit to him I must admit] tried to immortalize MKO by trying to rename Unilag, Even if PMB and GEJ did it for political reasons but what did Baba Obj do? He actually made May 29 democracy day to actually spite June 12. Baba Obj's problem is that everything must and should revolve around him, are you aware he actually gave bakassi away to feel like a hero to target the nobel peace prize award? Most yorubas actually revere him as an elder but hate his egoistic ways which in most cases don't align with Yorubas' national interests. The man is simply crying foul today simply because he no longer enjoy the record of being the only past military ruler with also two terms as an elected civilian President. He pretended to forgive Atiku and supported his campaign to keep that record alone. |
