Until the team gets a good coach and starts playing good football again, I'll stick to been pessimistic about their chances because truthfully (and even you will agree) that they haven't inspired confidence in the two major tournaments so far which may be Rohr's fault.

the kind of ajebo football the SE play is the reason many pundits won't give them a chance against Cameroon.

Secondly Cameroon is the defending champions, so it's expected that they pose much problems for the Eagles

Fatoyinbo na mumu... What is your own with the yeye accusation of donkey years. This is the handiwork of his detractors maybe most of his senior pastors who are envious of his achievement. Why stepping down? Why? Did they own your edifice? I trust Suleiman... Sue those idiots and force them to apologize. I don't like all this social media pastors and warriors. Guy face reality and move on with your life. make she go kill herself
even suleiman will soon have his day of reckoning if he indulges in such act, fatoyinbo escaped initially but did not escape this one.

God is not a joker, he can't give you a global ministry for you to take advantage of others, it will surely boomerang.

This is why a lot of pastors have been quiet so far, they know the alarm can blow on any of them soon so chill

He does, and thank you for your nice and thoughtful post.

I have always said it, ever since an argument I had with my younger brother some years ago about why Chirstian leaders fall, that we don't pray for our christian leaders enough. We somehow think that Pastor is superpowerfully immune to temptation...no he is not.

I hope we pray...and I hope he too learns his lessons at the feet of the Master...as we all should.
you guys should be mature for once, who does not pray for his or her pastor and who wishes for his or pastor to end up in disgrace? The issue is with some of our pastors who are not truly accountable to no one. They only claim to have spiritual mentors or fathers only when they are in a deep mess but in reality they do not submit themselves for proper accountability. They behave like mini gods even when they know deep inside that they truly need help.

who said? this will send shivers to many Pentecostal church pastors who are still indulging in such act as alarm can blow on any of them now.

all these pro-Mr Fatoyinbo are just wasting their time, the matter is way beyond Coza now. It's just because this is Nigeria, else the pastor would have been arrested up by now.

A lot of folks are not even aware that right now in the Uk, there is a public inquiry going on about the role of religious bodies in sexual abuse and violence. Make we continue dey form mugu for Nigeria here.

In as much as we blame the coach let's also blame the players, it's high time they make up their minds if they want to continue to play for the SE especially these foreign based players playing in obscure leagues. All this fight for bonuses and still yet after being paid come to the pitch to play nonsense must stop.

Something tells me the players themselves are not always confident of winning so to play safe they always want their money. That mentality will never make them a champion winning team. It breeds mediocrity and that's what we are seeing

RIP, big boss
He remains our best coach, the 2013 team is not as talented as this present team. At this stage am even OK with an amuneke. This coach if he stays longer will make many Nigerians begin to drink sniper. Na football still dey make many Nigerians happier now with all the woes we have as a country.

There is no point qualifying for tournaments in grand style and being to fumble in the Main event. Rohr is not confident in himself to do well in tourneys as he begins to form excuses of having a young team. Abeg we deserve a better coach whether local or foreign

TheGoodJoe is even captain of this team. He is with us. Mickael2 is also in this camp. Truly Rohr will not take us to the promised Land.

I know his positives and I have praised it severally...BUT... He is not just brave enough and inventive enough to make the best use of the rise of another golden pool of young super talents in Nigerian football.

I have given the man time. He is not our Joshua.
He is not a tournament coach, some of us have said this before. we have no business loosing this game just like the last group game against Argentina in the world cup. I thank God this has happened.

Again I will continue to have issues with us having foreign coaches, are we truly sure they are better than our local coaches?

I like the COZA Pastor and I watch him weekly on tv, he's a fine teacher of the word but he just needs to come out and apologize.

My issue with our pastors here in Nigeria and Africa is the ability to just come out and apologise for any wrong doing. It's a common practice in the western world and life goes on as if nothing happened cos we are all sinners in the first place including those crucifying the pastor now.

African pastors need to now understand that no man can own a church that rightfully belongs to Christ who is the head of the church. You are human, if you need help as a Pastor seek one but silence means you don't give a damn about other people's feelings which is not a godly character at all.

I have seen pastors like oyedepo, oyakilome, suleiman and their likes yes i have to call names do stuff that needed them coming out publicly to apologise but yet did as if nothing happened. It is not godly at all. This is what is making folks like coza pastor keeping silent cos he knows he is not the only as a pastor that has erred but yet still play God.

It's only God that cannot be questioned.

thank God it was on an important fixture..they acted that way....by now they would have kiss the tourney good bye
inasmuch as I don't support the nff authorities in regards to how they handle bonus issues, it's also high time our players decide whether they want to continue to play for the Nation or not cos the bonus issues will continue to be there as it was from the beginning.

I once read an interview by a former player, Reuben Agboola who said one of the major reasons he stopped honouring invitations from the SE was because of backlog of unpaid bonuses but you know what, he went ahead to say he regretted making that decision as he missed opportunities to play at the world cup and other big games for the SE.

Our players need to see the big picture at times, though it's hard but it's equally embarrassing with all theses bonus palaver. Just decide you want to be in the national team or just leave if you can't stomach unpaid bonuses.

ROHR WANTS NO FURTHER DISTRACTIONS AS EAGLES FOCUS ON MADAGASCAR

Super Eagles Head Coach Genort Rohr wants all the distractions caused by the dispute over allowances to be settled finally before Nigeria roll out tank against Madagascar in the last Group B clash on Sunday.

Speaking yesterday in Alexandria, the Franco-German gaffer said in as much as Nigeria has began the group phase very well, nothing should be allowed to put a wedge on Eagles good fortunes.

“I hope that the things that were decided yesterday (Wednesday) will be done so that everybody can focus on the next game (against Madagascar),” he stated.
Rohr insisted that the decision taking on Wednesday by Eagles before the game against Guinea, should help to stem any further bickery over bonuses and allowances.

Leganes of Spain defender Kenneth Omeruo’s header in the 73rd minute off the corner kick by Moses Simon was all that Nigeria needed to pick maximum points from Guinea’s Syli National and the ticket to the Round of 16.

I can see that many people here are running off with the opinion: there are no longer minnows in African football. They're saying this as though it's a good thing, what's happening.

I strongly disagree, there's nothing to celebrate! This is a an indication of how stagnated the growth of African football is presently and that's me being fair, as in reality, there has been a major regression on the part of footballing nations who were towering above others in the not so distant past.

Look at the Egypt, CIV, Nigeria of those years struggling to get wins over teams like Zimbabwe, Burundi, Madagascar and the likes.

I can't join in the party celebrating complacency.
i disagree, is not eleven players on both sides? some of those minnows you call them now have Europe based players
