Some years ago,Ibadan, the 'capital of education' in Nigeria was dominated by a politican who had primary 6 education....and that was because the educated people preferred to sit down in their ivory towers...and do nothing.

Buhari in 2000 was a nobody. But he went, put his face out there, campaigned, built up support, learned to cooperate with other people...and by 2015..he was the President of Nigeria. Atiku too....his popularity is the result of over 20 years of hardwork and connections.

But all of you educated people , you who have more degrees than Bubu and OND Atiku....just sit down, grumble about how bad things are...and then vote for the people who are making it worse. Meanwhile, all those illiterates take an ACTIVE part in our democratic games.

So stop blaming the illiterates. If you want change in Nigeria...go and join a party, build up support, be prepared to play the long game...and you know...you might be in a position to change things. Stop blaming illiterates. The illiterates are voting for the people they can see. Many educated people don't want to be seen.

Atiku is wasting his time!

What most Nigerians don't understand is that in a presidential system of Govt like what happens in Nigeria or the US, the President has so much powers that is backed by the constitution. The President can do and undo, imagine trump shutting down all fed govt parastatals for over a month now just because he wants money for a border wall. If you check the constitution properly and not just the one side the cjn supporters are quoting, there are sections that back all what pmb has done today. The President in a presidential system of govt is too powerful and can hire or fire any day or time. This also applies to Governors in their states, they can fire or hire any judge they want.

This is why I prefer the parliamentary system of govt where every govt policy and procedure is discussed in the parliament by the prime minister which to me is the best form of democracy but in the presidential system of govt, the president is the numero uno. Obj, yar adua and gej all exhibited this executive powers even when we thought that they have breached our constitution. That's the just the way it is like the way Donald trump is firing too in the US

PDP penchant for supporting corruption is the major reason they may never smell aso rock again. Even if you support corruption, there at times you pretend to be against corruption to improve your public perception and reputation. Pdp has done badly to continue to cry foul when the matters of corruption are in national discourse. As bad as APC and buhari is, they keep improving the public perception that they are fighting corruption even when they are hypocritical.

In the western world they romance corruption wella but you will never see a us or a UK politician speak publicly in favour of corruption! I just pity atiku and pdp. They are sore losers in the modern day Nigeria

Gej didn't have enough numbers to defeat bihari, does atiku now have enough numbers. A lot of folks were still undecided before now btw atiku and pmb, especially with the masterstroke of the American visit by atiku, why did atiku not finished it off with his appearance tonite. Getting to the venue is not strong enough. Atiku missed it. Watch how APC will capitalised on it in the next few days which they have already started.

Atiku has dwarfed the gains of his American visit by his non appearance tonite. What will those he visited in America think of him tonite?

Atiku is wise in not debating. If he had gone for the debate , the shameless APC members would have followed him up after the debate, words for words and use it against him.

On the contrary, attending the debate would have been another Political masterstroke like the American Visit but he messed up, the damage control reno and ben bruce are doing for atiku on twitter will not help matters. Many of Atiku followers are disappointed. Sometimes you should think more of your followers than just thinking about a particular personality. Most Buhari followers don't give a damn about buhari attending a debate but Atiku followers were so eager to listen to their saviour again but alas he has finally told them that buhari was more important than them.
