I think Ancelotti wasn't sacked per se

He came in as a make shift coach to cover till the end of the season and didn't get his stay extended the both times he was at Chelsea
you are confusing ancelotti with Gus hiddink

We should be interested in the team growing and the players developing. That is the only way we can have a good World Cup. Keeping low key would not expose Akpeyi the way we did so and would not force the technical crew to stretch their imaginations to give three players who are not regulars, Ebuehi, Idowu and Uzoho a chance.

With top quality teams, we need to be on our best to escape beatings. Which in turn will help us grow.
today's game has already exposed who and who should be dropped finally and I think it's okay, playing another top quality team may not be in our best interest cos of injury scare, my hand no dey o, na so dem talk say aguero faint, pls let's be cautious

Really? Onazi is fighter do alot of tackles.. But what what happened to his shooting ability?

Brazil. Definitely Brazil. Their abilities to go past players, Mount repeated attacks in their opponents box. Also with quick players. After beating Argentina, Brazil will want to play us.
we have to be careful here, I feel we should shift our attention to a european team and not the big ones for now cos with today's win, we have just exposed iwobi and nacho as our most deadly players and trust me they won't find it easy with opposing teams at the world cup. I thank God moses did not play. we have to keep it a bit low o! Honestly I wanted a draw in today's game so we spring up surprises in the main event but with today's game not even Germany or Brazil will underrate the Eagles when we play them, dem go play us say na champions league final.

Nff should keep it a bit low for now, we've played a soccer giant, let other matches be like rehearsal o, and mind you we have to be careful with injuries

Now, what's the best position for nacho and also it seems nacho starting eleven is sure with his set piece looking better than Vic Moses..?

What's the faith of ighalo? ..

Just pray we don't lose our players to injuries?

I just love nacho attitude after his goal and set piece.. Keep working hard.. Atleast if you get your set pieces right.. A big asset for you...

Ogu Ndidi working well at this moment... Onazi and Agu need to fight again....

More work to be done...

Please who is NEXT? Germany ,Serbia or England?
onazi's place is sealed, no shaking, we won't be hapless in the first half with an onazi in our midfield. Confirmed

Sergio Aguero was taken to hospital after fainting in the dressing room following Argentina's 4-2 defeat by Nigeria in Krasnodar, Russia.
The Manchester City striker had scored to put his side 2-0 up in the first half, but Arsenal's Alex Iwobi found the net twice as Nigeria came back.
Aguero regained consciousness in hospital, where he remained for tests.
Leicester's Kelechi Iheanacho had halved the deficit, with Brian Idowu scoring between Iwobi's pair.
Iheanacho scored with a free-kick after Ever Banega and Iheanacho's former Manchester City team-mate Aguero had put Argentina into a two-goal lead inside 36 minutes.
Iwobi levelled early in the second half and, after Idowu had put the Super Eagles ahead, the Arsenal midfielder extended the lead for Gernot Rohr's side with 18 minutes left.
hope this won't be an excuse for Argentine coach, na Nigeria dem play, no be Germany o!

I just thank God for rohr's life, na here for nairaland dem for bury am today, dudes let's just keep more positive on this team than the negatives, just one goal then, the eagles were already buried here on nairaland.

The only two major downsides of today's game was the keeper and ola aina, those who feel elderson's time is over should rethink and I think it's safe to go with at least two defenders who were at the last world cup, omeruo and elderson. even musa we can't discard, we need some experience going into this world cup with the young talents at our disposal. we already have an experienced mikel in the midfield and with onazi too we should be fine.

Very wrong perspective. Take a rollcall of Shell Oil Production Company and you will notice that all the top management staff in H.R. Department are Historians. From the Head Africa to the Head in West Africa and that of Nigeria are all Historians. Infact a friend of mine started out in The H.R. Department as a Historian barely 3 years ago. So don't stay here and generalise things you don't know.

I'm not shocked,
The hardship in Buhari's administration has made everyone good historians.

We all think back at how good our country used to be and the genesis of how we got into this mess.

With that said,
A degree in History is a worthless degree.
the way some Nigerians think and talk is the major reason we cannot develop, if you are in today's world, you will know that the field of humanities are gradually becoming relevant now

If it is just Africa why not vote for some Ifeanyi Ubah boys
.....

Moses goals plus assists last season is not up to half Aubumeyang goals......

You know yourself Aubumeyang is a better player you only being sentimental as a Nigerian Chelsea fan....
Have you not heard its a popularity contest not about who the best player is. All contestants deserve the award but someone must win. Must we fall our hands every time as Nigerians? The way we talk at times, its best we cancel the super eagles set up cos I don't know what our players will do again to please you guys. They don't qualify na war, they qualify, na wahala. This is an opportunity to show the player how much we value his contribution to our team so far, still he means less to you. This is how we bad mouthed Mikel for so long still he's still highly rated out there. It's your choice to vote whoever but pls stop despising Nigerian players thanks.

vote for moses this.. vote for moses that.. ask your self jst a question,,is he moses out of all the candidates more deserving of the award.. mane has been sensational, PEA too has been very gud, even salah has been carrying his country on his shoulder and look at his stats at liverpool. leave sentiments aside, country man or not, u have to give credit to whom most deserves it. same mentality dats affecting our choice of rulership. una go carry old men put for sit cos u benefited 1 bag of rice and tomorrow u start whining, where as leaving out d more capable and intelligent fellows.. kip shouting moses. u fink is only fans vote that matters abi? siddon there..
it is a popularity contest, don't get it twisted, the arabs sure will garner votes for salah not because he is the best but one of their ways to encourage their own, same thing the francophone guys will do for mane not because he is the best, encourage your own and stop getting too academical. The five players deserve it but one must win, that's all

I hope we all here have voted for victor moses for the bbc award, it's not enough to bash our players but to also give them the support where necessary. Let's be true patriots to have the BBC african footballer of the year in the super eagles contingent to the world cup. We don't have a say in the CAF awards but we we can make a huge difference with our numbers for the BBC award.

Those who think other players deserve it than moses should remember this is a popularity contest and not really about who is the best player. Thanks.

Animals are already voting for Aubumeyang at the detriment of their country man Victor Moses.
Nigerians are always enemies of themselves, this contest is not about who actually is the best of the five players but who can get the highest number of votes.

Nigerians are not intelligent at all as if the other players they are voting for will give them N5.smh

I have voted for Victor Moses cos I want him to win so we can have the BBC african footballer of the year in the Nigerian contingent going to the world cup. I don't have a say in the CAF awards which can be easily skewed to a certain region favouring their own by the coaches there but the BBC thing gives us Nigerians with out huge population to make a statement but how wise and smart are we?

Thrash! Countryman my foot! I'm more loyal as a fan of Manchester United than to the Nigerian Super Eagles team. But irrespective of that, I'll have to look critically at his records in comparison to other contenders and pick the best amongst them without bias. You won't tell me to just vote Moses with eyes closed when for example, there's Mohammed Salah and Aubameyang on the list!
there goes Nigerians, na only mouth we get as if the other players have two heads

Your question has been answered but you guys are refusing to learn. Lagos refers to island, period.
