Dollyak:You have surely been misinformed which is very unfortunate, Kano unproductive? Jesus christ |
EazyMoh:can you hear yourself? must kano be congested before such project can be embarked on? chai |
TonyeBarcanista:Oga this is the kind of things we should be hearing from SS states with their 13% derivation but alas na songs about marginalization we go hear every day couple with destruction of Govt infrastructure. I hope the northern states will not super-cede the southern states one day in terms of infrastructure with the way things are going. |
CSTR2:Rail is good you say, so what's your problem. Do you mean good things should not be done during recession? Come on, your reason is not tenable, the best time to make such expenditure is in the time of recession due to the spill over effects into the economy. The governor certainly knows what he is doing and am sure if he's your state governor, you will be hailing him too. Northern states like Kano and Kaduna are trying to full advantage of PMB in power to improve critical infrastructure in their domain, this is what the SS states fail to take advantage of when GEJ was in power, no be everything be gra gra. |
The academic environment in Nigeria especially in universities can be a very terrible place to work especially if you are not yet a prof and you have good prospects as your seniors or even colleagues can be very envious and can do all sorts to get you out e.g. juju. I fear universities environment, very deadly but not many are aware. |
PDP has forgotten the days GEJ was using the police, army and DSS to pursue amaechi ngige e.t.c. El rufai was even locked up in his hotel room. Oloshi party like PDP ![]() |
Geniro:PMB has actually been waiting for the militants to bring oil production down to zero all this while nah, what have the militants been doing? dancing? |
OreMI22:are those militants deadlier than boko haram, I thought they say they don't kill people like fulani herdsmen ![]() yeye de smell |
CSTR2:Excuse me, how many people and politicians do you see calling the Yorubas the most sophisticated, educated and all manner of praise singing everyday? The truth is you guys love your egos to massaged on a daily basis and the politicians are aware of this and they use it to be in your good books always but in serious matters of development and politics, dem de fall una hand big time, but they know that when your egos are massaged, you forgive them easily and life continues as usual. You guys won't hate PMB that much if he was doing this and that's a fact. |
CSTR2:stop beefing, bruv, rail transport is one of the things that will easily diversify the economy as goods can be moved easily at a cheaper rate thereby having a spill effect on any state's economy. Anything rail is a welcome idea, it brings faster development, our politicians are finally waking up to see the benefit of rail system, just wait and see when the Lagos light rail will be completed and you'll see the effects on the economy. We should commend what's good and not pull down unnecessarily, GEJ still get commendations for reviving the rail system and I think anyone who doing the same should be applauded too. |
Adminisher:This is what they love to hear and so everybody has to give it to them to make them happy, they need to be pampered always, if not yawa go gas ![]() |
The igbos surely has become a willing political pun which every politician and Nigerian now uses to play their game in whatever way. Just tell the igbos that if not for the civil war, they would have become the first people to land on the moon and you are game. Nigerians and especially politicians should stop playing with minds of the igbos, they are killing them emotionally and suppressing them politically. Only the wise ones from the SE understands this. |
TheRealestGuy:So all this cry is about Igbo presidency and not refredum after all, that's interesting. Anyway as for presidency, the igbos must work very hard for it and not emotional blackmail through threats of secession. PMB with all his might only made it after 3 attempts. I wish you guys good luck. |
Rehabilitation:I answered your question bruv, there is nothing like integration, its all politics to get the required numbers. Do you think the governor truly fancy the igbos that much. Just wait when they start demolishing structures again in the name of development except you don't get my point |
Been there done that! Enugu became a municipality in 1956 with Umaru Altine its first mayor. Igbo people have been accommodating since forever. It was only after the war that things changed and that's only due to not being fairly included and reintegrated post war. If people are saying they don't feel welcome anywhere else except their homeland and now some has broken ranks to make all people feel included I will laud the move and now look to other govs to do the same. We have over 256 ethnic groups in the country. I'd love for the people from all of those to be in positions of power. Our present system of misrule is a direct symptom from politics of ethnic and religious chauvinism. [quote author=LoveMachine post=48985592]The Enugu mayor thing has always been the only response to this discourse, but that was in 1956, old skool. We are talking 2016 please and we all know it will never happen, reason many yorubas no longer buy the idea of non-indigenes taking up appointments in the south west. |
TheRealestGuy:Referendum is not in our constitution for now, so its the National assembly that will have to amend the constitution for that to happen. For now all this talk are just emotional, if Nigerians feel Nigeria is not working, pressure should be mounted on the national assembly for that. it has nothing to do with the executive or judiciary. The hard fact is to amend your Constitution [that is how a democracy works] or else its just emotions and nothing more. Reason I said we just party, wine and make noise with no strategy. |
Love Machine:abeg o! |
TheRealestGuy:Sir, like I said earlier we are just emotional, prof abdullai like many Nigerians are just talking from their frustrations, even the prof himself admitted that he is one of the elites causing Nigerians so much problems, we are not strategic, we are not thinking and we are not asking the right questions, will the division of Nigeria solve our problems? With all the noise in the Uk, have they gone their different ways now? |
eph12:its you that is smart abi? Both Reno and ffk are very unstable fellows and the whole world knows this hence no one is surprised at their confusion right now. |
dionma:you took the words out of my mouth, most of our so called leaders in the society are just too emotional when they talk, I believe leaders are meant to inspire people and not create unnecessary fear, the other day prof ango abdullai said Nigeria should divide if it wants to, he did not even think about the consequences of what he was talking about. All we know is just party, wining and dining, the average african is not wired to think strategically, we are moved more by what we see, feel or hear, reason we may never develop, no be curse I swear. |
LoveMachine:And how long will it take for this to happen, we always hear tunes like this whenever this issue comes up but the whole world knows that it will never happen. smh |
AZeD1:if you check my post on the other thread about this issue, I mentioned this. FFK's followers are the dumbest as they are being brainwashed easily, he wines and dines with the same northerners he wants everyone to hate by force. |
oduastates:overdue is even an understatement, the fastest way to de-congest lagos is the Lagos-Ibadan rail, this is what will even transform Ibadan to become a mega city, am ready relocate to Ibadan sharp sharp if this is done, guys like me will live in ibadan and work in lagos commuting daily. This is what Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states government should thinking about now that they are all in the same party but are the sw governors thinking at all? |
Rehabilitation:Good question, the sw governors themselves know that they themselves are not getting it right in terms of employment generation for the teeming youths which is always a good ground for their political opponents to use against them in campaigning for elections. The easiest way out to navigate this is for them is to pander towards ethnic sentiments which is the norm in today's politics. Have you ever wondered why despite going to campaign in markets dominated by igbos, they still go on to demolish or drive them away all in the name of development? Forget all the talk of integration, its all politics to get the required numbers for their political gains, use and dump as usual. |
Rehabilitation:Abeg let's get real, every Governor or president are always 100% interested in who succeeds them, its all politics and the igbos have been seen to be very useful in any political calculations in Nigeria right now because of the way they litter themselves everywhere due to their republican nature. This is what the pdp used very well in the Lagos Guber and national assembly elections last year which made it possible to see igbos and other non-indigenes representing Lagos in the House of reps. With way the Lagos population is spilling over into Ogun state territories via ota, mowe, akute and environs, surely we now have lots of igbos in ogun state territiory even in places like ogijo-sagamu axis. Politicians are no fools, they understand what this means and will use it very well to their advantage, after all the numbers is what is most important in winning elections not too much grammar. |
Laburus:@the bolded, yet they blackmail others by their sermons of marginalization. I may sound tribalistic here, but I think our political leaders in the south west are naive, this is how tinubu and fasola started by giving these fellows appointments and still they threatened to determine who will be the next governor in the 2015 elections against their wish. The oba of Lagos had to do a dirty work for them. I wish Amosun and Ogun state goodluck in their quest, I know Amosun is strategically thinking of his successor in 2019 and he is scared of the threats from the opposing camp against his preferred successor. If the sw governors are truly delivering the dividends of governance to their people especially in the area of job creation, there will be no need of all these political patronages to fellows who will still turn around and spit on your face. |
Alphafeezay:your head dey there, only our yams can resurrect pdp and bring all their members back together ![]() |
989900:its just an extension of the present confusion in pdp, they have all betrayed themselves cos of our yams, awon ole jati jati |
ffk you will continue to fail in your bid to set Nigeria on fire because your party is no longer in power. You served with the so called northerners for years when your party was in power, now they have all become your enemies cos your hands can't get to the cookey jar any longer. Your party has even zoned the Presidential ticket to the north in 2019 yet you still continue your failing mission to set up hatred between the north and south and aslo between Christians and muslims. FFk you are a sore loser and most Nigerians can see beyond your articles as mere political mudslinging to corner more votes from the south west and north central for your thieving party in 2019 but I assure you that you are a failure already. Barawo! |
Guys like ffk and reno are the reasons the north will continue to dominate the south in our political space for a very long time. The reaction of ffk after reno responded to him shows how ffk's plan to incite the entire south against the north will continue to fail, ffk is just a shameless person who thinks most Nigerians are so unwise and can see beyond his hypocritical articles and views, he calls el-rufai a friend here and still tells the whole world how folks like el-rufai and other northerners want to enslave the entire Nigeria. ffk has only shows that all his rants with his articles are nothing but political mud-slinging to corner votes so that him and his party can get back to power to continue their usual looting. Barawo! Reno on the other hand has just shown how unstable he is, he knows the truth about issues but still because of his lack of access to aso rock which ended last year continues to incite Nigerians against the present Govt. God will surely repay him after all he is even a pastor. The Reno/ffk quarell here is just an extension of the confusion in PDP, may that useless party die forever more, awon oloshi. |
Seriously, I just heard that this woman is moving things in NPA right now, she has effected so many changes by promoting those who have not been promoted for years [due to bias reasons], though NPA staff has been receiving their monthly salaries very late on recent, I heard on good authority that she has set up a committee to review the welfare packages of NPA staff saying that with what NPA generates, their lot should be better. Kudos to her if what I heard is true and for NPA staff congrats o. |
39xtr90r:we know who the wailers are, the political mis-calculators of 2015 who mis-fired by putting all their eggs in one basket and later started crying for appointments by shouting for biafra ![]() |
