loseyourseld:
PDP needs to find a way to appeal to other parts of the country, cause if election is held again, North will still vote for APC, SE and SS will still vote for PDP while SW will be divided, which means that most likely, APC will still win.
You don't win election by insulting others.
They can never change, just forget it, even for the upcoming elections in Edo state, they have already started their tribal sentiments again.

TheGoodJoe:
Le Guen’s rejection: We have other options – Green

The Nigeria Football Federation has opened up on the purported rejection by Frenchman, Paul Le Guen of the technical adviser’s job offered him by the football house on Monday. In a chat with an online publication Tuesday, Chairman of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, Barrister Chris Green said the NFF would “look at the next door” if Le Guen refuses to accept their offer. On Monday night, the official website of the NFF reported that Le Guen had been named as the new Super Eagles helmsman by the technical and development committee of the football federation.

The deal was however subject to Le Guen agreeing contract terms with the NFF’s Executive Committee. On Tuesday, sections of the French media announced that Le Guen would not be taking up the offer to coach the Super Eagles because the NFF did not meet his terms. “The announcement made on Monday (by the NFF’s technical committee) was quite clear. Le Guen was offered the job subject to contract terms being agreed,” Green stated.

“We had to look at the best interest of the country before offering anyone the job (to manage the Super Eagles) and one of such conditions was that the new technical adviser would reside in Nigeria. “A situation where Nigeria will be the loser will never be accommodated by the NFF. “We want a coach who will not just take the Super Eagles to the next level but will develop Nigerian football as a whole and if he does not reside in Nigeria, it may not be feasible,” Green said.

“We will look at the next door if Le Guen decides not to accept the terms we offered him. “A lot of top coaches applied to coach Nigeria and even more (who did not officially apply) are desirous of coaching Nigeria. “The options are open and we want to assure Nigerians that we will contract a coach that will befit the status of one of the best national teams on the African continent.

“We are working assiduously to make Nigerians happy and will not relent till we achieve set objectives,” he said. Nigeria will face former African champions, Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia in their quest to qualify for the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/07/we-have-other-options-green/

Someone tell these guys to give Ruud Gullit aka Rude Boy, former Chelsea and Newcastle coach a call. Or Call Leonardo for Inter Milan coach.
Sir, we are just wasting our time, we are in a difficult group to qualify for the world cup, no serious foreign coach will want to gamble with Nigeria and stain his cv with Nigeria's failure, Paul Liguen, Ruud Gulit and the likes will be the one begging for the Nigeria job if we had qualified for the world cup, remember in 2014 even Fabio cappello siad he was available to coach any team to the world cup when Nigeria was still contemplating to replace keshi with a foreign coach to take us to the world cup.

Its too risky for any serious coach to take up the Nigerian job now

TonyeBarcanista:
Well, I won't blame him if he decamps but I wish he will still hang on.

PDP as a party needs some cleansing and injection of fresh faces and ideas. Ribadu is among our prized asset, it will be foolish to lose him to APC.

Personally, I want Ribadu to challenge Buhari in 2019, but will wish him good luck should he go to APC. He still has my respect any day
Sir, Ribadu will be more brutal than PMB is dealing with corrupt politicians, are you sure Nigeria and especially the PDP is ready for that?

Dino ought to know that you don't elongate a fight with a woman, even if you feel she was wrong initially, prolonging a fight with a woman will only continue to make you look like a woman oppressor especially among the female folk.

Dino should get wiser and act like a man, this fight is now becoming like two women fighting over a man, haba Dino!

Politics › Re: Something Strange Is Happening In The Southwest - Azuka Onwuka by Goke7: 10:53am On Jul 19, 2016
obailala:
There's nothing strange about this development. Everything in Nigeria is tied to politics, even issues which ordinarily should have nothing to do with politics are usually influenced by partisan sentiments.

The niger-delta activists all went dumb during the reign of GEJ, even though we all know GEJ did nothing for the region during his presidency. Similarly we had cases of policemen arresting, incarcerating and even killing massob members some years back under GEJ, but we never heard any uproar from anyone in the SE cos the politics in Abuja appeared to be favourable. Similarly there were countless number of fulani herdsmen strikes and clashes with communities in the middlebelt region and in some cases, in the upper parts of the SE; there was never an uproar against the government for the same obvious reasons not until May 29th 2015, and then we all remembered there was some menace in existence called fulani herdsmen.

Furthermore, during the time of GEJ, northern youths raised a lot of dust over even the most meaningless things, today worse things are happening but they've all gone cold and dumb. Can someone please imagine what would have happened had it been that the zaria shiite massacre happened under GEJ?... Hell would have been let lose and the northerners who are mainly sunnis would have remembered that even the shiites are still their brothers and sisters.

Now the SW which has always championed the cause of restructuring seems to have also gone mute, the reasons are obvious, its the abuja political sentiment.

In summary, the fact is that when people make a loud uproar against a perceived injustice, the driving force most times is usually politics; when the politics in Abuja appears to favour a group, the group tends to sheath their swords.
well said bruv, its all politics and all Nigerians are guilty of this even those making all the noise today will go mute if they get back into aso rock, no be today jare!

Asari should worry more about the people of Ondo state taking Bayelsa to court over the Agbami oil field, and some other disputed fields between Edo and Delta. Everyone feels his home state owns all oil wells in the country. undecided
abi o, if there's anybody that should even be dragging the oil wells with lagos, it should be the republic of Benin.
Politics › Re: Stop Provoking Us, There Is No Oil Discovered In Lagos State - Asari Dokubo by Goke7: 1:59pm On Jul 13, 2016
Amberon11:
This isn't factual. Oil can be found almost everywhere. I have always maintained that that. Its only the crude hasn't been discovered. It doesn't mean it isn't there. Crude is mostly found in shorelines or some nautical miles into the sea. So why won't Lagos have oil, or even Oyo state. That north hasn't discovered oil doesn't mean it isn't there. We Niger Deltans don't own all the oil in the world.

Some will say I'm Yoruba, but who cares?
Niger delta folks have been lied to that they own all the oil in the world bruv including that of saudi arabia, so pardon their ignorance pls

The Executive have already tainted the image of our legislatures before they realised they have been messed up.
They continued to play mumu with Buhari until he showed them the true colour he is made of.
They really need lots of work to redeem their image most of us see them as hawks now.
They have been so maligned
They brought all these on themselves, imagine debating on useless bills such as immunity and life pension for the senate president and its deputy.

I have no pity for the present shameless senate led by an incompetent and spoilt brat

This just shows that our brothers from the other side can never play opposition, do you play opposition by chickening out. Its like the only opposition that is being played now is by ranting on the social media, if this was how APC played opposition, they won't be in aso rock today.

The fact that Gani Fawehinmi's name is always mentioned as the only man who truly dares any ruling govt in the law courts to the very end is a serious indictment on today's lawyers who only don't chicken out when it comes to defending thieves.
