Nigeria being the largest market in Africa still could not produce a viable airline to compete internationally.

We still can't get our acts right after Nigeria Airways went belly up.
The incompetence and corruption is just so monumental. From a giant to a disease riddled cripple.
its really a shame to big brother Nigeria not to have a national carrier, Nigerians travel to every continent of the world, I doubt if Ethiopians travel like Nigerians but Ethiopian airlines is one of the few airlines travelling to every continent of the world.

Big shame to us, na to brag 'na we get oyel na im we sabi. real rubbish

Pastor Osinbajo speaking.. prays for Ogoni
I love his prophetic utterances, He used to that to douse the political climate the traditional ruler and Amaechi had gathered. I commend Wike though, he avoided it. Ogoni people should be delighted with the VP's prayers I think.

The King praised his main political opponent, chastised his mentor and neglected to even acknowledge him. He must be disappointed; after all he is the Governor.
Honestly the traditional ruler should have kept politics out of the matter, He is the father of all and should have appreciated all, am not GEJ fan but I was not comfortable with the way he yapped the man, he even call him his boy, chai a whole ex president for that matter. Anyway he said GEJ is a gentleman, something commendable at least.

Tell me more than 6 states in Nigeria that is not owing now ? Didn't u hear all states in the west are owing apart from Lagos? Niger state that had low debt profile, the governor he can't continue borrowing to pay salaries. That is d situation right now. There is nothing he can do. Abi should Fayose manufacture money to pay dem? Even the FG is owing some FG universities and medical centers salaries. U think they like owing. There is no money..
its shameful the way you guys are defending and giving excuses for fayose's inability to pay salaries, you guys will have none of these excuses then when osun state started owing salaries. How time flies, karma truly is a bitch
Politics › Re: Buhari Turning Igbos To Politically Endangered Species – Fayose by Goke7: 10:10am On Jun 02, 2016
Fayose is the one making the igbos a politically endangered specie by using them to play politics by attacking the president and then go behind to install sheriff as PDP chairman to the dismay of the igbos after lying to them that APC is an Islamic party and for the north only.

Its high time the igbos get wiser to know that Fayose and fani kayode are the ones enlarging the gulf between them and PMB. No igbo is man hurling uncouth statements on PMB than these fellows. The igbos should stop seeing themselves as political puns to be used by Fayose all the time.
Politics › Re: Buhari Will Be In Rivers Today For Ogoni Clean-Up by Goke7: 9:45am On Jun 02, 2016
sparrowkid:
Some people wish that it doesn't happen simply because they have been sold the wrong narratives all this while. The kind of picture they were given of APC or Buhari is quite different from this. They have been told that APC is a Muslim party that will never meant well for Christians; it is a party of northerners that can never wish good for the southerners. It is a party of their enemy and so must be resisted at all cost.

On the other hand, Buhari has been portrayed as a brute, a dictator, an ethnic jingoist, or a religious bigot. So the idea of Buhari or his party doing something good for them is totally confusing. The idea of a Buhari doing what their 'brother' cannot even do for them for half a decade in office in just one year is inexplicable. The idea of a northerner fighting and protecting the interests of people of other region and religions is too much a bile for them to swallow.

Therefore, they know that very soon their people will begin to question them. They will begin to suspect them and eventually deal with them. They are seriously afraid and apprehensive. Because they have been feeding on the ignorance and stupidity of their people all this while. The idea of a liberated people questioning their leadership is something they don't prepare for. So, they must continue shut out their brains from reasoning. They must been configured to hate, and even if there is any good from the 'supposedly enemies', it must be seen as an attempt to persuade them.

One begins to wonder the kind of psychological and physiological make up of these sets of people that have this kind of mindset. But one has just got to pity them because they are really frustrated, angry and hungry. May God heal their souls. Amen.
you have said it all, this is the political legacy GEJ left, one of the reasons am amazed when he is referred to as an hero but like you said, these lies will soon be busted and the people will be free.

The only pain we feel in the Niger Delta is the one caused by decades of parasitic leeches. What is there to feel in your phony cleanup? A project that is billed to take 30 years so buhari doesn't even have to do anything after today's show and can just continue to claim they are working on it for the remaining part of his tenure then hand over the responsibility to the next person and the vicious circle goes all over again?

No, that is not what the Niger delta wants. It means nothing so no one takes it seriously not to talk of getting pained about it. We need full resource control not your nonsense candies!
if its a phony clean up according to you so why are you bothered, I learnt the President won't be going so why are you crying all over the place. Oga there are somethings you don't make noise about, what's so special about this clean up that you must disturb everybody about like they way Ben bruce is disturbing our peace because the President didn't greet him.

There are better things and issues we can discuss about but about this clean up, just allow it go, it makes no sense to wail about

This is one man that commissioned a study into the energy challenges of Nigeria with his personal resources and gave the report to Obj as his principal.

Obj in turn called late Ige attention to the report but the man waved it aside with saying he would deal it the issue bla bla... 6 months later he couldn't say a jack about the challenges other than blame it in human factors.

Atiku remains one of the persons in this country that is ready made presidential material.
Atiku is simply playing politics, believe him at your own peril, somebody jumping from one party to another because he wants to be President, shior! we are waiting for his migration to another party. Nonsense

I remember that Obasanjo pointed out something on this concerning Awolowo- that when he was appointed Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, he carried his own drinking water to the place each time thereby alienating the locals/ northern elite that he needs to become president.
Sad.
Very sad!
that is it my brother, what is politics if you are driving away folks that can add up the numbers for you to succeed, our southern politicians only relate when elections are near and stay far apart after elections.

The other day I saw Senator Shehu sani distributing solar panels to his constituency, how many of our politicians down south will do same, reason you see many northerners having what our people down south here can't boast of with all our education and sophistication. We no dey try at all.
Politics › Re: Power Sector Illegally Sold, Fashola Says by Goke7: 10:44am On Jun 01, 2016
anonimi:
Thanks.
Yet we say we are the sophisticated, educated ones, not so?
How do you think we can improve our political situation in the south huh
we need to stop the power show to our fellow southerners which is not too pronounced in the north, the likes of ibb, abdusallam and co can easily live among their own people, have you wondered why? the former cbn governor sanusi, hate him or like him but I have a family friend who just retired from cbn and tells me how sanusi comes to the canteen in cbn where everyone is to relate with them and pay for everyone on his table. Tell me how many of our southern elites are like that.

We oppress ourselves too much here and are too far from each other psychologically to make the desired impact politically and that's why we get too intimidated politically including our southern lawmakers who are just there for decoration, me I don tire. This is why the northern guys move more in clusters than their fellow southerners. If GEJ was a notherner and Nnaji was a notherner, he will never be sacked especially when he is bringing in the goods.
