Onix01:Their ranks will soon be infiltrated cos of greed, they claim to be fighting for the niger deltans but alas their true motives is beginning to unfold. You can't take up arms against your country and begin to call the international community to your rescue, its a contradiction. |
NavierStokes:why did we not hear all this calls during the last administration? is it only when a northern President is in power, we suddenly remember true federalism? The truth is the present violence in the niger delta is not about true federalism but cries from those who no longer have access to our treasury like before. let's stop supporting criminality by using the call for true federalism as a cover up for these bunch of criminals. The continuity of this violence will only push us off oil and begin to generate revenue from other sources, mind you the FG is not too affected, it is the states that are feeling the heat as their allocations continue to reduce. |
NavierStokes:you say boko haram had no effect on the economy? oh boy you fall my hand, do you know how much of our earnings as a nation has been expended in the last few years to fight boko haram without any returns on investment? do you how much that means to the economy, is it because oil prices were good in GEJ's time that you think boko haram had no effect on our economy. This is the problem we have, we think everything is oil. Do you know many farmlands and produce have been lost to bokoharam insurgency? You think those in IDP camps never had a source of livelihood? Please think again, if boko haram was not affecting our economy, GEJ will not not spend so much fighting boko haram, reason PMB is trying to avoid force on the NDA especially with the financial situation of the country despite all the provocations. The NDA are criminals and with time, they will be decimated just like boko haram, break up within their ranks as a result of greed will be the starting point bruv. |
This just shows how confused the Niger delta region is, gosh! fighting those believed to be on their side. I see an implosion within the region soon. |
NavierStokes:Am amazed with the way you guys are defending these criminals, boko haram were also strategic in their operations too in their hey days. The true federalism talk is just being used to blackmail this govt and its all political as this is what majority of those who dined with GEJ but dislike PMB are saying. if the Niger delta truly wants true federalism, what are their lawmakers in both the senate and HOR doing to push that agenda? You guys can keep hailing the NDA but not many of us are buying their lies that would soon expire |
blackmatter007:stop patronizing me, all that you have said shows that the Niger delta region is confused and don't know what they really want but its obvious that the bombings escalated with the increase in the arrests of persons by the EFCC. Please stop the lies, NDA is not after any common man's interest, let's stop glorifying the activities of criminals that are hell bent in destroying our nation because of their greed. The FG knows their true demands and is just allowing them time before they will be finally exposed and dealt with. You can't take up arms against your country all in the name of fighting for the common man. Boko haram had their day and has been decimated and will continued to be so. |
blackmatter007:you are indeed the one lost cos not many are buying your lies |
blackmatter007:stop the lies, what they want is for the charges against tompolo and co to be dropped in order to avoid the implication of GEJ. The Niger delta folks are not interested in any development in whatever form, all those marine university stories are for the gods, do you think they care with all the loots they have gotten during GEJ's reign? They are not ready to part with any loot at all, hence the blackmail. They just added the Nnamdi kanu part to patronize the se for their support which they are getting but what is up-most in their mind is for all corruption charges against all Niger delta persons to be dropped, chikena. Some of us are not fooled with their useless demands on paper. |
jaz:you are right, Nigerians are not just gullible but easily panders to any 'ghana must go bag' politicians, we are our own greatest undoing, suddenly atiku campaign has started. God help us in this country that is almost getting irredeemable. |
blackmatter007:stop the blackmail please, the NDA ish is about the FG dropping all charges of corruption against all persons from the Niger delta region. It has nothing to do with federalism or ownership of oil blocks. Reason they are not interested in dialogue, even the FG knows this. |
Keshi, till today we are still battling to replace you as coach of super eagles, this is a testimony to your uncommon character as coach. Rest in peace big boss though my heart is broken. |
My heart is broken. Oh no keshi you remain my number one Nigerian soccer hero. Tears, sob sob |
erico2k2:have we ever had this kind of economic downturn in recent times? Like I said earlier, Let's keep politics out if we want to be truly objective |
erico2k2:since 1999, every successive govt have been having brilliant minds in its cabinet, obj had the likes of soludo, oby ezekeweli, el rufai, segun agagu and others. Yar adua had Dora Akinyuli, Godwin Abbe, Rilwanu Lukman and co. The problem with some of you guys is that it was in the Jonathan administration that some of you were old enough to assess how brilliant the ministers are, Nigeria have been having very brilliant ministers from time, the likes of olukoye ransome kuti comes to mind and joe garba. This present cabinet have lots of brilliant guys, just the economic downturn is making them look bad, if the Jonathan ministers were the ones in now, they will not look better. Let's stop playing politics and be more objective. |
erico2k2:Lies as if Nigeria has not been running before the previous guys, oh we just go our independence when those former ones got on board abi? This is our problem, the inability to move on from the past. |
sparrowkid:we are indeed a poor nation bruv, never mind the jeeps you see on nigerian roads, that N5 difference means a lot for many people including the jeep owners |
erico2k2:you did not read my post well, I said if the present ones are failing, they can give way to other Nigerians and not these former ones, are they the only ones with experience? Are you saying we can never have better ones than the adeshinas and others? This is where I disagree, reason we keep recycling public officials and we keep complaining |
All these calls for GEJ goons to come back to power just after one year shows that some fellows can't just let go after all. If the present ones are not delivering, definitely they can give way for other Nigerians out there but to bring back same folks in a country of over a 100 million means we are just interested in making strong men instead of strong institutions. This is why we keep having strong cabals holding us to ransom always. Secondly I can see those folks are not jobless in the first place, they have since moved on to other accomplishments so why can't we move on here too. |
@the op, GEJ supporters can never answer your questions without insults either for you or PMB so its a waste of time engaging them in an intellectual discourse like this, we were all here when our economy started dwindling towards the end of GEJ tenure when NOI told us that FG were finding it difficult to pay salaries and things may not improve. The symptoms were already showing then, right now politics is what is being played now by the opposition and GEJ sympathizers by taking advantage of the economic downturn to see how they can incite Nigerians against PMB and the avengers are doing just that to push their luck further. Majority of Nigerians including the opposition know the truth about our economy but politics of bitterness will never allow for any objectivity. |
NNPC, omole, N140 chai come and see queue on saturday evening, no be small thing o |
Fayose has abandoned Governance for politics, very soon his own people will soon start kicking against him as all his antics trying to incite his ekiti and nigerians against PMB will soon expire. Its only a matter of time. |
Oloshi, these are the guys NDA should be bombing. A whole former minister of Niger delta ministry with nothing to show for the development of the region. Orubebe you are partial, 'we will not take it' ![]() |
Even if 1 trillion was recovered, wailers will still wail nothing ever will satisfy them. Sore losers |
Ruke1989:You guys are the ethnic bigots and ungrateful lots, if not for obj, there will be no Jonathan but you guys berate the man all the time as the source of your problems. The Yorubas have done a lot for you guys especially with the way Jonathan ascended as a acting President but what do we get, insults, abuses and all sorts. No one can never be sympathetic to your cause again. You are on your own, ungrateful bunch |
All these stories we have been hearing over the years even before GEJ became President. These stories were the ones that made the likes of tompolo and asari billionaires. Am sorry for the ijaws especially since they have produced an head of state, all these stories can't make many Nigerians be sympathetic to their plight like before. Those years of pampering are gone especially since all entreaties for them to drop violence are falling on deaf ears. Sorry these kind of stories can't move some of us any longer. They had their chances. |
Has the odemwinge wannabe been finally allowed to greet the President? someone should please inform me when he has finally greeted the President. Am a guy and I just wanna make common sense! |
Propaganda gone bad, I feel so sorry for the priest, see how he has been forced to release a press statement on his mission to that area. My se brothers need to calm down before they start turning against themselves and their communities. |
HammerEvery:There is no fear here mhen, we can't just afford the amount of refugees from your end when reality dawns, the south east and south south are not that united. The itsekiri/urhobo war years back is a testimony to that, imagine if these tribes are now in a new country. The caste system in the east is a platform for dis unity in a new country. let's stop deceiving ourselves, most ethnic groups in Nigeria are not too united to form a country, reason south sudan is in a mess. |
asorocker:The countries that broke out of soviet union, can you tell me how well they are faring today? The thing sweet to talk for mouth but when reality dawns, its a bucket full of regrets. The south sudan I mentioned earlier is the most recent in history and not in the 1960s you are talking about, mhen, its a sorry tale for south sudan a fellow african country. |
HammerEvery:Nigeria will never divide cos even you cannot afford the consequences, we are all just emotional not objective, I understand and feel your pain but we are not telling ourselves the real truth. |
prinsam30: just waka pass |
Nigeria can never divide in peace, we keep deceiving ourselves in this country. How can you suddenly wake up suddenly in a place you have been living and working all your life and then you will be asked to procure work or residential permit. Most of us saying nigeria will divide are just emotional and not objective. I advise all to read on south sudan who became a country in 2011 and have been fighting civil war since 2013 till today with millions of displaced people in a so called new independent country. Our main problem is to have a moral code with which to conduct our affairs as a country, if you like create regions, its still the same politicians that will be in charge of the regions and they still will continue to steal all our money whether 13%, 50% or 100% derivation or what have of you. We are morally bankrupt as a nation and until we fixed that, we are joking. |
