This just shows that most of the sensitive issues in Nigeria are always politicized by one party trying to outdo the other be it boko haram, herdsmen, militants and so on. The more we politicize these issues, the more difficult in trying to address them |
Hydro is the just the best alternative, good to know the govt is thinking in that direction. I hope the ikere gorge dam in one Ogun, Oyo state is included too |
na our money wey this man use buy agbada na im e roll for ground so? Chai |
Sunnynwa:thank God, its 90% and not 100%, that's lovely ![]() |
Sunnynwa:and only oil provide us forex abi? |
they are just using the 5% and 95% to blackmail PMB but the truth is the ss and se never for one day like PMB and PMB is aware of this too, hence he doesn't give a damn just like their hero GEJ. PMB have this covered, FG will continue to generate revenue through the fuel hike as we continue to import petrol and other petroleum products, taxes and tariffs will be raised, stamp duty already generating revenue so the bombing can as well continue, when they are tired, they will think of something else. |
Nigerians especially the youths are so lazy chai, so they are waiting for bakare who is over 60 years old to go out and protest the fuel hike for them again abi? whoever is blaming the likes of bakare are jut cowards who can take up the future by themselves but instead waiting for elders in this century to give them direction. |
cckris:Lies, rather the insecurity in the Niger Delta region makes not many people patronise the ports there, this is one truth you guys deny, who will go to an area where bombings, pirates attacks and other criminal acts takes place place per second. Fix your mess bruv |
Xapio:We are saying same thing bruv, money belonging to Lagos was not given for some months, are the L.G.A. not part of the state? Remember, the states control the funds too |
agbangam:They were never interested in development, what they want is free money, reason bayelsa governor referred to then as being lazy |
banme1:Did you not read my earlier post, was I complaining, I said the continuous destruction in the Niger delta is a welcome development as it will make Nigeria get off oil completely. Mind you, the govt saw this coming, reason for the hike in fuel price, get ready for more increase in tax and tariffs for Nigerians. We call it govt suffering the masses but hey they are gradually getting off dependency on oil. |
mencade5:You guys don't farm nah, resource control can't solve anything as you Presently have 13% with nothing to show. Oil is a curse to Nigeria, its not about resource control at all |
The continuous bombing of pipelines will only push Nigeria to get off oil quickly. Oil is the reason we spend lavishly on our legislature with nothing to show. By the time proceeds from oil will dry up, the senate or house of rep will no longer be attractive to anyone. Oil is also the reason for our do or die politics, so the destruction going on in the Niger delta is a welcome development as public offices will no longer be attractive |
Xapio:So lagos was receiving its allocation for those months abi? who dey lie now, how do you differentiate seize from withheld? |
chai what a pity, this will be put his successor patrick akpolobokemi who is also facing an efcc case to be under so much pressure. Looks like a situation where two former bosses of NIMASA will end up in jail. I hope Peterside will learn from this, |
this thread should be deleted asap |
36STATES:So its only Lagos state that has federal government infrastructure abi? if those infrastructures you mentioned were all blown up like its happening in the Niger delta, will Lagos be like what it is today? last time i checked, the revenue generated from the federal agencies in Lagos goes to the federation account and be informed only places like the island and yaba were controlled by the Federal Govt then, others were under the then western region which metamorphosed into Lagos state. Like I said earlier states like delta, rivers and akwa ibom should be giving lagos a run for their money, delta alone has two airports and a sea port, rivers have airport and sea port too and akwa ibom should also be rubbing shoulders as the state with the highest earnings from oil if they are not lazy like the bayelsa governor said. let's get rid of our inferiority complex to Lagos and work harder, life is not all about oil. |
hausameat:post like yours are making matters worse, the south south region needs to grow up politically and understand diplomacy, elections are either won or lost and when you loose, you try and re-strategize for the future, why can't the south south region form and float their own political party to push their aspirations further, must they be spoon fed all the time. why can't they create a political party and sell it to the entire nation. Your post is a confirmation of what the bayelsa governor said: 'They are lazy'. Obj gave that region a chance and they blew it cos they must be spoon fed all the time. smh |
zegbeye:we had it before and it was working perfectly but the same region who want it badly now were the ones who destroyed it then. |
Am actually see this as a great opportunity for Nigeria right now to get off oil. years ago it took Obj to deny lagos state its monthly allocation for the state to begin to think internally and today Lagos is the only state that does not need FG allocation to survive and pay its workers regularly. If obj had not been that cruel, perhaps Lagos would have been owing many months salary like other states, forget the economic capital ish, states like delta, akwa ibom and rivers should be giving Lagos a run for its money if they know what they are doing and are thinking inwardly like Lagos state. Now is the time for Nigeria to get off oil if we are truly serious, oil is not a renewable resource in the first place, if many of the developed countries today are not oil producing nations so what's our problem, even african countries like kenya, ethiopia before we even talk about south africa are not oil producing nations yet they have functioning national air carriers that are world class. Nigeria wake up, Life is not all about oil. This is our last opportunity to get off oil finally. |
lots of folks were already buying fuel for 150 -200 naira per litre, so the 145 price tag did not mean much to most people, NLC did not read the situation properly though I somewhat appreciate their position on the fuel price. Secondly the unions are just too divided to carry all Nigerians along |
Everybody go just de sick whenever they are told to return our yams. Waiting for fani kayode sickness too, ![]() |

AntiWailer:o boy you kind at all o ![]() |
Firefire:and you think anyone has been trying to change that thought of yours. Sir no one is willing to impress you guys anymore cos na waste of time |
in oshiomole voice: PDP go and die! |
e be like say the sponsors of these criminals are gradually coming out |
Some fellows bp are rising up seriously with just one girl rescued, if na 10 girls nko, na die be that o! |
Firefire:otherwise what? you guys say its a scam |
princeade86:PDP has been divided into factions just like NLC. So if NLC could not successfully organise a strike, what make you think PDP can gather or sponsor people. Those of you who still see PDP as an opposition party are funny cos the PDP itself still sees itself as a ruling party |
omolola15:they are bunch of clowns, what do you expect. Papa deceiving pikin party [PDP], They were never an opposition party, remember how they celebrated when saraki and dogara became senate president and speaker. Fellows who once abandoned them and you take them serious for an opposition party? PDP is a fuji house of commotion I tell you |
omolola15:PDP never saw themselves as an opposition party from may 29 last year, this is the root of their problems. They still see themselves as a ruling party on recess. They can never take opportunity of APC flops. They are simply a money miss road party. |
