Politics › Re: "Cameron Flew Commercial To China For £40B, 2016 PMB Flies Private Jet For $2b" by Goke7: 8:33am On Apr 12, 2016
these pdp goons like reno are really missing life way back in aso rock, when they held sway with their recklessness, they told us to keep quiet whenever we complained, PMB is even yet to get anywhere close to the recklessness of Jona but no they will never allow us hear word, they follow PMB all the way to the toilet whenever he poos to know how much he bought toilet roll.

APC may be bad but PDP never, they remained the worst thing that happened to Nigeria since 1914 and reno should be ashamed to be mentioned among such a wasted generation. Tufiaka!!!

Its high time we get a FIFA ban sef, one of the things I agreed with GEJ was when he wanted to withdraw Nigeria from all competitios for a while for some restructuring.

I think FIFA should come to our aid now by excusing us from football now to let go of the yam eaters at NFF.
Politics › Re: FG Included Lagos-calabar Rail In 2016 Budget - Gbenga Ashafa by Goke7: 4:57pm On Apr 11, 2016
vascey:
While we insult each other we fail to highlight the salient points.

The Honorable Minister while defending the budget to the committee of land transport presented a supplementary budget to them.

That is the point in contention.

Question: Is that the way to resend budget to NASS? Is it appropriate for Amaechi to send the updated copy of the budget to just the committee while excluding the other members of NASS? Isn't there a due process for this kind of correction or amendment. Was it followed? Is it reasonable to assert that since the committee on land transport had been provided with a fresh budget, therefore the entire members of NASS had been provided the details?

Simple accounting and finance knowledge would tell you that assuming Total T remains the same, once X is credited somewhere, same X must be debited somewhere else.

What did Gbenga Ashafa do when he was presented with a budget different from that presented to his colleagues?

The wailers are quick to say FG is confused while the zombies are quick to point fingers at SS/SE.

What a shame! This whole freaking drama is a shame.
You are trying to be too technical sir, budget is all about planning, somethings can be removed or added before it is passed, that is why the executive and legislature need to work together as they have same objectives for the nation. Reason you have a committee too to reflect the wishes of the house. There was nothing wrong in adding a project that will create more jobs for the masses, we bug ourselves too much with unnecessary technicalities, reason we are not growing as a nation

So this is why adegboruwa has been bashing PMB lately. I just love this present regime cos its just exposing all the so called human rights activists as crooks. The roll call is just too many including the SANs, the judges and small fries like adegboruwa.

persius555:
Too many nigerians can analyze the problem of nigeria, but very few can profer solutions because many are part of the problem. I dont envy the APC govt at this point. They made too many unrealistic promises at a time when the outgoing govt made a mess of the economy. Martin Onovo himself is part of the problem. He complains about borrowing to fund a 70% recurrent expenditure budget and turns around to blame the govt for promising 100,000 security jobs and delivering 10,000. How does he expect the govt to pay the salaries of 100,000 police officers if it doesnt borrow.
Matins Onovo himself is a personality who knows how to fault others but cant proffer solutions to the challenges on ground. This is art we nigerians have mastered over the years.
The same way reuben abati use to dissect economic issues and blame the govt of the day back the on his tv show "patitos gang" with pat utomi.
GEJ brought him in and what was his contribution? Nothing.
Nigeria is in dire need of solution providers not complainants.
It is folks like you that are intelligent not the dumb fellow called onovo
Politics › Re: Onovo Describes Buhari’s Government As Nigeria’s Greatest Danger Since 1960 by Goke7: 3:59pm On Apr 11, 2016
I watched the interview and onovo was just his usual self, over emotional:

1. He brought out the manifesto where he said APC said they will create millions of jobs per year, he said instead we are seeing job losses, onovo forgot to factor in the present state of the economy with respect to crude oil prices and the fact that the Govt is yet to have its own budget, he goofed there.

2. He said APC promised to recruit 100,000 police men immediately but he was quick to admit that plans are already on to recruit 10,000 already, so what is onovo's problem, has the Govt failed in that regard?

3. He complained about political appointments in favour of the north claiming that out of 38, the north has 30, the interviewer confronted with on whether PMB violated the constitution, onovo was jolted as he deceptively limited his grouse of the appointments to the six service chiefs and not the 38 he was earlier fuming about, chai onovo is not as smart as people think.

4. He talked about budget and the expenditure and his host asked him if there was no reduction in recurrent as compared to the 2015 budget, onovo said there was reduction in percentage in recurrent expenditure but no reduction in figures, I laughed at the so called onovo trying to dodge not to give some credit where it is due.

5. Onovo said [which is actually true] that Govt was borrowing 40% of the budget to finance 30% capital expenditure, yet he still claim Govt was financing wastages forgetting where we have be coming from with the previous administrations.

6. His host asked him way forward and advice for the Govt, yet he continued to rant that his party has already advised PMB but APC was doing as if they know it all which is a very childish response from Onovo.

In all, i saw a man who claim to be a patriot but he is none as his tone and body language is as if he wants the Govt. to fail perhaps because he never got the attention he needed. Only those who are bias against PMB thinks Onovo is intelligent.

And why is it that its only the Yorubas that are shouting on top of the roof?

*Why is the so called South-South and South East not bothered?

*Was the proposed project intended to actually benefit the South-South and South East, or another plot to expand Lagos economy? #ISmellRat

*And why is everybody now referring to Calabar as the "East" I thought Calabar is at the South-South? #hypocrisy

*Could it also be that the East and south are no longer bothered wether they are included in the Nigeria project, haven been described as 5% by Bubu, hence has accepted their fate?

Ask yourselves this questions, and your guess is as good as mine.
This is how you guys chickened out, you act like spoilt brats when the feeding bottle is taken away from your mouth and you cry and cry. Femi Adesina was right describing you guys with the feeding bottle illustration.

Why yorubas are so hell bent on having this project included in the budget is really surprising why are they crying more than the South South and south east.

Even the South East and Niger delta who are supposed to benefit from the project are not batting an eyelid.

Could this project be the Savior of south west or east bikonu.
cos the south east and south-south are very naive in National Politics, they only know how to cry marginalization with their so called activists like tony uranta and the briggs woman but when it comes to to the nitty-gritty of development in their region, they act so dumb.

In saner climes, you are presumed guilty until proven innocent, that is why public officers in saner climes resign whenever allegations of misconduct arises.

But in Nigeria, our corrupt elites has deceived us with the notion that you are innocent until proven guilty which is what they have been using to rob us of our Commonwealth over the years. Its time Nigerians get wiser and come hard on these thieves or else we will never develop
