The problem sir is not about funds for campaign but the source of the money, is it from the office of dasuki or not, directly or indirectly. I think at this juncture there should be a national consensus that those who collected money from dasuki directly or indirectly should return the money that was given whether it was a donation, campaign funds, suvs or whatever. Let all monies in form of gifts, campaign funds, suvs e.t.c. proven to be from the ONSA be returned for morality sake. We need to start setting moral codes for ourselves as a nation if we are truly serious. |

Onyocha: if its the AGF asking them to make the request they visited him with formal, then he is giving them assurance of the possibility of his release if the proper method is used. otherwise, he would have given them a vague statement about law and justice to take their course and investigation to be carried out. you are talking of the NSCIA led by the Sultan himself who is the head of the country's Muslims. i do not think he would sell a dummy to the Sultan. Its due to the presence of the sultan that the agf made that statement, it doesn't guarantee the release of the zakky guy. Trust me if the man is released, then everyone in detention including book haram suspects will have to be released, its that complicated, the agf just tried to divert his visitors. |

Politics › Re: Igbo Intimidating Buhari With Biafra To Get Appointments – Sagay by Goke7: 10:13pm On Jan 07, 2016 |
Eluwilussit: You can't compare OBJ with Papa Awo. One was a visionary, the other is simply opportunistic.
I don't understand how we all arrived at the idea that Igbos hate other tribes. Does any tribe in Nigeria love any other tribe?
When they voted massively for Obasanjo, was that hate? They voted massively again, for Yar'Adua in 2007 and subsequently,Jonathan. None of these aforementioned is Igbo. Why is it now that the opposition won, that everyone has turned against the Igbos? Why is it so difficult for Nigerians to understand that the SE and SS are/were predominantly PDP?
Did anybody condemn the North or SW for voting in any direction of their choice? I don't think so. Do Igbos not vote for their preferred candidate? I think they did. Just like the north and SW voted for their preferred candidate.
If the SE had refrained from participating, then you can accuse them of hate and tribalism. Lookin back from 1999, these folks always almost voted uninamously for PDP. Kini big deal?
I still believe that PMB has a great chance to unite Nigeria. He should play Madiba, the great statesman. If Mandela could forgive his jailers and embraced peace and unity for the good of the greater South Africans, one will expect Bubu to do likewise and prove the Igbos wrong. A great opportunity to be great, lies ahead of PMB. He can grab it with both hands and be remembered kindly as the man who United Nigeria. The modern father of the nation, or be remembered as just one of the opportunitic few that derailed the nation.
At last, all mortals have their different weaknesses. The Igbo's are the ones to prove PMB wrong by accepting him as the President, the average Igbo guy still does not want to accept PMB as President, their utterances shows it. Acceptability comes before true reconciliation, don't get it twisted. The day the igbos finally accepts PMB as President, there will be no more qualms but if the blackmail continues, well am sorry |
Politics › Re: EFCC Gets Court Order To Detain Metuh by Goke7: 9:50pm On Jan 07, 2016 |
omonnakoda: Well your point is not really tenable there are better qualified people than the President and the VP to do that and they are in government employ already they will win some and lose some depending on how strong their case is on each occasion. There is no evidence that the presidency gets involved in prosecutions. What next if presidency cracks the power problem you will say Buhari is good in Engineering? Was it not the same Buhari that jailed Fela and killed drug pushers? Did he not know law then? May be you are not old enough to remember the other things he did with his tribunals
NONE whatsoever and to be honest with you the line of argument you put forward is the reason I took you on in the first place. It is very childish thinking or frankly the thinking of one who knows nothing of real life Again you are misunderstanding me and even adding some insults, well like I said earlier I don't need your validation, but its so clear the different approach this govt have toward criminal cases, the Buhari of 1984 is not as experienced as the buhari of now with a different system of govt. and for your information military guys are better strategists than civilians, wonder where civil engineering emnated from?, (from the military) so if buahri cracked the problem of power, then he knows what he is doing. I deal a lot with the military so I know what they can do, we civilians underate them a lot cos we think their job is all about shooting people. I just wonder how you will feel too if I had used same words you have used here on me, I never forced my opinion on anyone here in the first place. If you do not agree with me then let's move on but to pass judgement on me for sharing my personal experiences which may be different from yours is most unfortunate. Once again thanks |

Was I supposed to praise for sounding so ignorant?
You tell me who other than an impressionable and dull primary school pupil would come on social media to imply that military officers nay soldiers who are untrained in law are legally more knowledgeable than trained lawyers? You are the ignorant one here, do you think soldiers are only taught how to fight and shoot people? Pls do some research and get a life, soldiers do a lot of training and research just like scholars and professors do. That's why When you guys call PMB dullard, I laugh in several languages. |
Politics › Re: EFCC Gets Court Order To Detain Metuh by Goke7: 9:24pm On Jan 07, 2016 |
omonnakoda: Sure do you agree that it was a lawyer and not a soldier or military person that appeared before the judge ? This does not have anything to do with military at all. EFCC are not military? I do not inted to argue further but its so clear now you misunderstood me from the beginning, what I was trying to say is that with a VP who is a professor of law and a President with a strong professional military background, they know the technicalities and the loopholes in the judiciary which our Nigerian lawyers explore to get alleged crimes suspect get off the hook so easily. They too are exploring those technicalities which is frustrating the lawyers defending the guys who are being arrested. Even these lawyers know that the govt is right but they the lawyers are only trying to get public sympathy by saying the govt disobeys court orders, wonder why dasuki is begging? Hope you understand me now, its not about any soldier appearing before any judge. |

Anyway this has nothing to do with military and it was a lawyer that argued before the judge not a soldier We all have our opinions so I don't need you to validate mine. Thanks and God bless |

Eluwilussit: As a General, he should be magnanimous in victory. I would be. It's about Nigeria and Nigerians, not about PMB. Jona did everything in his power to carry the North along. Even though it was clear they weren't happy with him.
PMB is the president of Nigeria and not the 95% only. SW didn't vote Baba in 1999. Did he abandone them? Nope! Instead he worked hard and won them over. We need to unite our country, at any cost. The igbos by their nature are not willing to flow with PMB, truth be told hence their antagonistic atitude. The igbos need to learn diplomacy like the yorubas who they call cowards, nobody will come down to your level when you continue to hurl insults on other tribes. I laugh when u say obj did not abandon the sw, how many sw guys do you see praising obj? Obj is only respected as an elder in the sw but not as an hero like awolowo. |

omonnakoda: I agree with your conclusion which presumably is that his rights are not breached on this occasion but your reasoning and logic is absurd ?Average military officer is vast in the law . Really Hmm
Let us assume that is true so what ? That they know the law means they follow the law? Nigerian military or Gabon You interact with them a lot? Ok So? and what makes you a judge of who is "VAST" in law Most senior lawyers? As in majority? How many senior lawyers are there really? what is the population?
In summary you are guessing you arrive at a conclusion which will sometimes be right and sometimes wrong with as much frequency as the outcome of tossing a coin . You need to improve your powers of logic and argument
By the way it is CONDEMN!! I don't need to argue much with you sir, but try and interact with senior military officers whether navy army or air force and see for yourself. Most Nigerians don't know because they are mostly in the barracks and not exposed much to us. Can u remember how PMB answered the question on sharia law back then at chattam house? Pls research and check if military officers understand the law or not, have you asked yourself why the army is not apologising for the shites incidence. Those guys are not stupid.
