Good morning beautiful mamas....av been a silent follower of this thread since my conception....and I have some questions to ask experienced mamas here.....I just found out that am having twins at my last appointment .....so my question Is ; is it possible to do EBF for twins as that as always been my wish....Pls help a curios FTM....#ReppingTeamMay.

Like some other mamas have stated, it is possible but dependent on some factors like how well you lactate, how convenient it is for you(considering it's more than 1 baby) and how well it satisfies them. For me I couldn't because they never seem satisfied. I even went as far as expressing just to see the quantity they were consuming. For where! No matter how much breast milk they took in,less than 15mins after,they yearning for more. Formula keeps them full for longer. I just couldn't keep up with just bm.

Do keep your options open so you don't feel disappointed in the long run if you're forced to introduce formula earlier than planned. Also do not feel guilty should some over sabi people begin to judge you for not towing the EBF lane. It is not to everyone you can explain your reasons. You can't tell until you put to bed exactly what option would work for you. Just do what you feel is best for your babies.

Wish you all the best in the rest of your preggy journey and your plans to settle for EFB. I hope it works for you. Wish it did for me.

Since ur vjay was not tampered wt, oga can just start gently anytym from nw. Are ur nipples cracked? Does ur lo latch well whyl breastfeeding? Make sure ur areaolar and nipple are both in his mouth nt just d nipple. For d stretch marks, u cld b applying ori. Heard it works tho it takes tym.

Thanks for the response. Yes, nipples are cracked and sore. DS seems to latch well but DD's mouth is small. Even getting the nipple alone into her mouth successfully is when she's practically screaming. Would keep trying to get them both to latch properly.

Hello Mamas, please I have some questions that have been bugging me. 1. How long after delivery via c-section can one take a normal bath as was obtainable before delivery? 2. How long after c-section can kpekusing start? 3.three weeks after delivery i'm still experiencing intense nipple pain when I breast feed. I've been using Avent nipple cream and it only gives slight relief. What can I do? 4. The stretch marks that appeared on my stomach during pregnancy hurt me now. Hot,peppery feeling like that. Any remedy for it? Thanks in advance for your responses.

True there tatacherie. It was pineapple juice I craved for in this last pregnancy. The fresh natural one. I was making and drinking it,also eating pineapples directly until I read on this thread that it could induce labour. I panicked and stopped. Even rushed to do a doppler ultrasound believing that my babies weren't okay. They were fine. Temptation came again and I continued eating and drinking until the week before I had my LOs, no contraction or funny feeling whatsoever.

Like you said, one should limit whatever doesn't go down well with his/her system. We should all be very observant too so we are sure of exactly what we are reacting to when the reaction starts. Better safe than sorry.

Zobo was one thing I craved for from the beginning of my first pregnancy till the end and I made sure I satisfied my craving. I never ran out of it as I was always making it myself. No negative reaction or side effect whatsoever and I was taking it really concentrated. If zobo isn't safe, I was neither aware nor affected.

How did you get the zobo? Did you buy it? Probably it wasn't hygienic. Or your body just didn't agree with it. Hope you're feeling better now. Pele dear.

A baby is one of the greatest gifts God can give. A symbol of life. May he satisfy your deep desire to bring forth twins. And also grant you the strenght,grace,patience,wisdom and finances to nuture them. Because trust me, e no easy. I've only just started and I know that so far,i've only just seen a tip of the iceberg. .Happy bumping in advance dear.

Please be patient, these people are toying with my emotions I can't tell right from wrong sometimes. HORMONES!!!!

I was born in a christian home as if that would make a difference but one thing I've realized since 2012 is that growing up in a christian and knowing Christ and the bible are two different things. I would ask myself why were we living in conditions other christians weren't, why we lacked financially and in certain spiritual areas as well. The truth hit me as I started studying the bible, my family represented the israelites, God's chosen nation and all but once we let, especially mom because we all looked up to her, let the circumstances of this life weigh her down things really fell apart. So I can say I've been stagnant since then, even knowing the truth I was still on ground zero, a babe spiritually. I was invited to Christ Embassy by a close friend, truth be told its after listening to Pastor Chris teachings that I just decided it was time I woke up from my slumber.

His teachings are instilled with the truth that most people aren't looking for, and let me not forget the daily devotional; Rhapsody of Realities. There I found out that most situations we face everyday, they have already been dealt with by Christ on the cross. John 3:16, He came so we can have life and have it in abundance, triumphantly, in fulfillment and just to enjoy it. That life is to bring us joy not grief because in 2 Chronicles 7: 14 God said; “If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes shall be open, and my ears attentive, to the prayer that is made in this place.”

Which place if its not your sacred place at home that you've dedicated to prayers, one thing is you can't be stagnant if you have a tight relationship with God. And prayer/studying of the word brings us closer to him day by day.

Ps, get war room in december 22nd onwards if you haven't seen it already because I know you can't go to the cinema now or if possible download it. Trust me your faith will be renewed.

Thanks for your prompt response and sharing your experience. There's a better understanding now. Would tow the prayer/studying line. I remember seeing advert for war room sometime last week. I'll get it. ((((hugs))))

am a second time mum, but this ehn, am almost thru with 2nd trimester and feeling so heavy.
i use to have right pelvic pain, was given one injection like that to reduce the pain.
really cant wait for this to end, i cant boast of a total of 5hrs sleep per day. i wake up to pee like 4/5 times in the night.
it's tiring really.

Eya. Pele. Try to get your mind off it and in no time, your due date would stare you in the face. And prepare yourself well for after delivery. You'll need a lot of help and support. Tending to one baby isn't easy, how much more twins. Hope you have shopped. Ensure that you shop and pack early otherwise it'll be a tiring and boring process for you.

Let me stop here first

Congrats dear. Like MsPat stated, experiences differ. I had no morning sickness. Experienced cravings from time to time-not weird ones though. Had a total weight gain(from conception to delivery date) of 9kg. Babies eventually weighed 2.6 and 3kg. Feet swelling didn't start until 3rd trimester. Also had low appetite for food all through the pregnancy. Was down with malaria twice in 2nd trimester.

Heart burn plagued me,but it was easily taken care of by a glass of milk or chewing gum that contained mint. Both worked like magic for me. Peed a lot in 2nd trimester only. Didn't sleep much-only at night did I manage to sleep well. My greatest nightmare was and is still the pelvic and leg pains. Pelvic pain started in 1st trimester. Infact,it was the pain that made me suspect a BFP cos I had experienced it in 2 previous pregnancies. It started that early and got worse as the pregnancy progressed.

I had my angels via a planned c-section at 37 weeks and 5days last week as both were breech and the Dr suggested it would be better to have the c-section than risk having me go into labour with both of them in that position which could happen anytime from 38weeks.

Vaginal delivery is possible though if the leading twin is head down. Be prepared for almost endless kicks if you've got 2 very active babies. Of course there's also the tiredness. Got tired and out of breath easily. Please don't eat like you're eating for 3 o! Just eat healthy. Better to eat in small portions several times than to eat heavy portions at a go. Always take your prenatal drugs and follow your doctor's advice. Get a 2nd opinion when in doubt. Wish you happy bumping.

Hello all. Sorry to be sharing this sad news but i have to update u. Had baby last night but lost it. Had to be induced after passing due date. All went well nd heartbeat was checked regularly. But by the time he was born he didn't cry. Every thing was done to resuscitate him to no avail. I pray no other on this thread experience this. It is well!

Double the trouble, fun and blessings. My twins have arrived! A girl and a boy by 11.29am and 11.30am yesterday,Thursday morning,weighing 2.6kg and 3kg respectively via c-section.

At my 35 weeks appointment,the ultrasound revealed that both my babies were in cephalic position. Was so excited. I even popped wine when I got home that day grin

. U can imagine the disappointment when by the following week,the leading twin had become breech. Was advised to strongly consider the possibility of a c-section. By 37 weeks they were both breech and the doctor booked me for c/s against 37weeks+5days. Said they couldn't take the risk of having me fall into labour with them in that position as I could go into labour anytime from even the 37weeks because it's twins.

Anyway,i arrived early. The procedure took place as scheduled with me awake. I was anxious,scared and honestly even shocked after my LOs were out. Was just wondering....did I really carry this 2 precious bundles or was I dreaming. All in all,i give God all the glory for everything.

Sorry team december,i left you guys. I also hereby hand over the mantle of class captain to @ soonest. I know she's capable and up to the task. wink

. Easy and normal delivery I wish you all ex-teamies and of course other pushing mamas.
