People who have something to say regarding your post would definitely do when they come online. You may also read backwards on previous pages what persons with similar issue did. The page on this thread is lengthy though so you could Google whatever information you need and add 'on nairaland' to get quicker results in your search. All the best!.

TAUdo:
Hi everyone, please I will like to know how one can cope with Work when one is on an IVF journey. Will I need to take some weeks or months off work?

I am 41 years old, this will be my first time and I pray to God it will be a successful ivf

I intend to start the process in February 2024 so that I can be mentally prepared however, I have been wondering if I will need to take some weeks leave or months leave off work.

It is advisable to take some days off especially during the two weeks wait. This is to reduce stress of going and coming back from work, riding bikes, work pressure, unnecessary body movements that involves bending, carrying of load or physical exertion. Though some mamas go to work throughout their treatment and still get a bfp. Please weigh the pros and cons for your situation and decide what works for you. Even when at home it is still advisable to move around to aid blood flow.

I first saw their post on Facebook. They are legit, I did not only sign up but play games on their platform everyday. Once you win your E-wallet is credited then you transfer to your bank account. Na my new stream of income be that and their games are interesting.

Thanks for the advice, i reside outside the country and want to do it in Nigeria where its cheaper without insurance and high success rate, i can only be allowed 1 week off not 2 weeks at my job.

Mama the concern here is proximity to your hospital. Is there a way to discuss with your boss at work to give you some weeks off even if it's leave without pay so you can be closely monitored by your doctor.

Based on the video I think the actress
Victoria Inyama misunderstood what pastor Funke Felix-Adejumo meant. Cover your husband could mean don't expose his weaknesses to outsiders. Everybody with him own interpretation. To me there's nothing wrong with what she said. Things are happening o. If some women tell you what they are passing through in marriage you will thank God for your own life.

Get a maid that comes to clean the house maybe 3-4 times in a week, pay the maid from her upkeep, explain to her that because you are big on clean environment you will have to reduce her upkeep to pay someone to do it

To me this is the best approach. If she is still interested in the marriage she will come around, make changes and start tidying up the house but if not she may opt for divorce.

What I did in this cycle? I took FHPro for women for 5months (4 containers, wasn't consistent at some point), Vit E and metformin for 2months preceding the IVF month. Dr. Joje ask me to add the metformin due to high AMH, it was 11. point something. Ironically, this is the only cycle I didn't take prednisolone as I wasn't giving and also took my bath.

Cost: I paid #500k for the procedure (as a PCOS woman). I was put on low dose Folliculin (150 I.U) all through my stimm. Additional cost was #100k for ICSI and #65k for Test.

A friend of mine Amh test was normal but got additional med of #250k. So, additional cost will depend on your medical history.

Thank you so much ma for the response.

I was among the first batch (PROMO) and God did it for me after 4-IVF. Dr. Joje knows his onions about IVF and will handle you well irrespective if you are on promo or not.

Thank you so much ma for the response. Could you please tell us what you did during the cycle, did you include additional procedures like ICSI ?

Please take it easy on yourself. As for the itching it could be a sign of infection. There are times in this TTC journey that we break down, feel sad and feel like giving up, but we just have to keep pushing till we get results. There's always light at the end of the tunnel, after the night comes morning. We will share our testimonies and WIDD soon in Jesus name.

Good evening mamas. Just curious
For those of you with successful cycle, did you have your evening bath/shower on the night of transfer? Or did you wait for 1 or 2 days before bathing.

Most mamas who had bfp after ivf usually don't have their bath from night of transfer to like 4 or 5 days after, at least based on what I have read here. I think the whole idea is to reduce unnecessary body movements or bending or to avoid cold as one is supposed to keep warm as much as possible after transfer. Other Sabi mamas will answer your question better when they come online.

After transfer i was on bed rest for 48hrs, drank a lot of water, wore socks most times to keep my feet worm, took my medications at the same time, reduce stress the best way i could, watch comedy skit online, ate worm food at all times, no hot bath, ate pineapple everyday till pregnancy was confirmed, i prayed like never before. I used androcare care fertility center

I meant inserting the estradiol ie the progynova vaginally it absorbs better and increases the endometrial lining faster

Thank you mama @ nnennachiji for the explanation. God will answer our prayers and make us mother of children in Jesus' name. Amen.

Also try using the estradiol vaginally it incrythe endometrial lining faster
My first cycle I had issue with lining and progynova was used orally and my cycle failed but my second cycle I used it vaginally and it helped my lining and was 10.9mm on transfer day and it was successful

Good evening mama. Could you please explain again what you mean. The answer is to lapagegirl's post but I am learning too. Thank you.

Hello Ladies, does anyone have experience with Grabbo fertility clinic and Charitos fertility clinic please and do they shut for Christmas season or work right through.

My experience with Grabbo was not a good one. I chose them based on recommendations from a friend who used them and got a bfp. I learnt the hard way that one needs to be careful of some of these fertility hospitals that do promo. The whole thing ended in a bfn. Even when I asked for the lab test results, the nurse told me everything is ok and that they don't usually give results. Also when the doctor increased my dose of injections during stimming proper communication was not done and I had to tell the nurse on duty that the dose was increased as she didn't go through my file properly and this was done a day before when a different nurse attended to me.There have been complaints about the hospital recently. And as regards Charitos Bo I heard it's her husband's hospital, I read a bad review about him here on nairaland, don't know if it's true or not.

Pls, does any one know any NGO that helps couples with fertility issue do IVF free of charge? I have been TTC for the past 6yrs and the doctor said the alternative left is to go for IVF. But we lack the fund.

The one I know of is Ibidun Ighodalo foundation. You may Google up "IVF foundations in Nigeria" to get more information online, you may also visit some IVF hospitals too where they do promo from time to time to ask if there are such opportunities where people sponsor or pay partly for couples trying to conceive. Then I believe other mamas that have idea will say something when they come online.

I am just so tired of everything,I am depressed, almost suicidal.A new doctor says I should try hysteroscopy.Who has done it before? How much does it cost? I just feel God has forsaken me,everywhere I go to,people keep staring at my stomach, babies everywhere, people we got married at the same time now have kids to call theirs.even people we both waited at the same time are now with kids.People who have no need of children, still get pregnant.

Why is my own different?is my offence so great that I can't receive mercy,I have prayed, fasted, what haven't I done...I feel ashamed for myself,4th cycle of letrozole yet nothing.tubal flushing all to no avail. Is it so hard to get pregnant after a miscarriage??Even if it's spiritual,am I not praying enough,God just seems to hate me.

Anytime, they are talking about children at my place of work,I go mute,it just seems as if some are even willingly discussing it to spite me,atimes,I excuse myself from that discussion.people bring their children to work atimes. All I do is play with them and silently pray for my own.

This is the last day of January,I remember this time last year I was full of Joy,with my pregnancy and showing already....my Joy was taken away.

I now avoid going to some places with my husband,I feel like killing myself honestly. This is too much for me to bear.Life is so unfair.

It is well ma. Take it easy on yourself. If it will make you feel better avoid going to some places or partaking in those discussions for now, you need it for your sanity. Only the living try to conceive and eventually have children. Those things abound every where. People try to spite you because you don't have children yet. What about me that my neighbour stopped her son from entering my house because the child was becoming too attached to me, whenever he comes he doesn't like going back home. Keep believing in God, he will do it someday.

@ yinkaadesegha please help interpret this dream. I dreamt that my brother was showing some visitors our family pictures and he brought out a childhood picture of me that I had never seen before, then the visitors were amazed in the dream and said to me " so you were this pretty and fair when you were young" and then I woke up. God bless you, I pray for more grace of God on you in Jesus name.
