LeJeun3:Yes it says gasoline to LPG, though mine is the other way around. LPG introduced to the air intake in small quantities that would be mixed with fuel in the combustion chamber. My EGR has been deleted so it's gonna burn rich causing the ECU to reduce injector pulses making the fuel lean without losing engine power. Tried it with fuel vapour. I intend to give in a try out when I get a break from work. |
Drversatile:I really look forward to commencing this project. I'll just get a gas regulator first, then regulate the pressure low enough to match the vehicles rpm. Then ride with it for a day and check results. If its positive then I'll work on a permanent setup. From my assumption it takes 40 minutes to prepare rice using gas, my setup will work with extremely low gas pressure imagine if it work as expected and I make above 23mpgs on this rig. Its gonna be a major breakthrough for me. |

I found this Seem useful Using Mix of Gasoline and Liquefied Petroleum Gas for Lower Emissions and Greater Torque 2013-01-1151 The paper considers the problem of how to improve the economic efficiency of gasoline-powered internal combustion (IC) engines and at the same time increase their eco-friendliness and reduce emissions. Current industry thinking is that the use of alternative fuels (e.g. liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), which is widely used) helps reduce emissions of harmful substances in exhaust gases, but causes a reduction in engine power and torque. One of the ways to fix this problem is to add gasoline to the LPG, while current approaches to this problem improve either ecological performance or power readings of engines. It is assumed that one can change the fuel burning velocity and the amount of harmful substances in exhaust gases by adding gasoline to LPG and varying their percentage fuel mixture (called binary), thus providing higher ecological and operating performance of IC engines. Based on the above assumption a new engine control method has been developed, which improves gasoline IC engine performance and reduces emissions by adjusting the binary fuel composition and controlling the ignition advance angle. eherbal:I used a Honda odyssey and i believe it has an identical engine with the 93 Honda accord. Though the 93 already has good mpg. Unless u wanna push it to 40mpg. Besides my odyssey then had a cone air filter element and i deleted a vacuum hose from the air intake manifold. Man that honda was so fast it. I once did a burn out that later damaged my cv joint. It will work 100% I removed one of the hoses so it sucks extra air. That car has speed

Drversatile:Fuel has vapour and the vapour is very combustible. So i introduced the vapour into the engine via vacuum line that leads to the air intake manifold. What I want to know is if I could use cooking gas as a substitute for the fuel vapour into the vacuum line? Cuz im actually using it in very little quantity. Mind u my truck is 4.0l I6 fuel injected 3-fe engine. Check yours for codes. From whet I know O2 sensor control how the ecu regulates the air/ratio probably start from there |

Fuel trapped as vapour in a water filler container. I pass air from one end and lit the other from where vapour is produced So my plan is 70% fuel, 30% propane and as u know propane has a clean burn. Propane and air comes in through the air intake manifold then the injectors spray the fuel. Accord to Craig the rich mixture will trick the ecu to thinking its spraying in too much fuel there but reducing the fuel and the engine will still have its normal or even better power. Imagine 24mpgs or something close to a corolla on a 4.0l truck.

So I have this 92 landcruiser. Its a really nice truck. Its a real juggernaut with impressive acceleration for its size. Its rated 11/12 mpgs but I've tweaked it so much I get 15 to 16mpgs. When fuel was still 143/l 8k worth of fuel takes me 388km which is quite impressive for an I6. First I adjust the fuel pressure regulator all the way and advanced the timing. I could really advance the timing to do 0 to 60 in 9 seconds and oem states 13sec but when I do I get some pinging so had to retard it. People keep judging the truck by its size asking if it doesn't consume fuel. I told em not as u expect. So some weeks back I decided to take out the EGR valve cuz it was kind of stuck open and the temp jumps whenever I do some hard acceleration. So i took it out and it has been OK ever since. Acceleration and mpg got up to 17 which is cool with the EGR out. I did an airfilter element wash and let the element dry under the sun. After that I fixed it back into the housing and started up my truck. Upon movement the acceleration was so super im sure I could do 0 to 60 in 7 seconds. Quite quick even I couldn't believe. Out of curiosity Turned off my truck and turn it back on. Boost was gone. I was curious. Then I did a lil research. I came across a channel THE VAPOUR KID on you tube, did a prototype setup and I got really good mpgs and with aggressive accelerations + ac. Though my set up was temporary. When all fuel has been vapourized truck became normal. I repeated this few times with great mpg gains. My main point Cuz im curious. Can I introduce Lpg in very little quantity to one of the vacuum lines and engine still running of fuel? Cuz the reason for my mpg gain is my vehicle's ECU thinks it's running rich and cuts off the pulses to the injectors. Thereby saving a lot of fuel. So im just wondering if fuel and propane could work in the same combustion chamber. Note fuel injectors spray fuel as gas and propane has a better air fuel ratio as its already in gas state. I've already thought about the regulator and the electric shutoff valve and flash back arrester. Whats your opinion. Let me know. Cuz a 3kg Lpg would carry me for months and I believe if the mix is suitable I could push my mpgs up to 22/24. Check the fan direction or air flow. Check and flush your radiator If it's clogged happened to me once. I was using water as coolant and left it in for too long. Its a big radiator had to be taken apart and put together Your car definitely doesn't have a thermostat. So get one. Check you oil fill cap if it's milky then your head gasket must be damaged

It's beautiful but give it another 3 years its gonna look awful. Maintenance is always an issue. |
