If it bears no relevance in christianity, you are free to stop preaching about the ten commandments, moses and cut out leveticus and deuteronomy in the bible.

Abraham and Jacob tithed 500 years BEFORE the Law was instituted. Moses, Malachi, and Jesus spoke of tithing DURING the period of the Law. The Apostle Paul explained tithing AFTER the Law. Christians ought to tithe!

Bidam: The tithes and offerings in the O.T. were used for the Temple and the Temple ministry (i.e., the priests, etc.) (Mal. 3:10). 1 Co. 9:13-14 applies this principle to the N.T. church. "Do you not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? EVEN SO hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel." Verse 13 relates to the O.T. practice. Verse 14 carries this practice over to N.T. churches. Your tithes and offerings are for the support, upkeep, and ministry of your Church. Tithes should never be designated--they are to be left free for use as the church body decides.

Goshen360: There're law (of Moses) keepers who teaches Christians that it is ONLY the ceremonial or civic law that was abolished and that, the 10 commandments which is the moral law was NOT abolished and NOT part of the Old Covenant or that the 10 commandments are NOT of the Old Covenants. They teach that the Old Covenant that was abolished was NOT the Ten Commandments but are the Law of Moses; that is the civil/ceremonial ONLY. But what saith the scriptures? The Bible clearly teaches that the Sabbath was part of the OLD covenant and that the 10 commandments ARE THE OLD COVENANT and/or inclusive IN THE OLD COVENANT and this OLD COVENANT is ABOLISHED because a NEW COVENANT (in Christ, not through Moses) is again established by God.

The VERY FIRST thing we need to find out from the word of God is whether is 10 commandments (Moral laws) are different from the civic/ceremonial laws or they are all inclusive in the OLD COVENANT as ONE.

Here we read the 10 commandments IS the Old covenant and it is between God, Moses AND NATIONAL ISRAEL, not WITH the church of God. Alright! Let's move on. Now that we've seen the old covenant is the 10 commandments, then we need to see if the whole law (of Moses) was given as a WHOLE or in parts on different basis?

Goshen360: We've seen that Moses spent 40 days and 40 nights in God's presence. What would he be doing for that period that long ONLY to receive just 10 commandments? NO! ALL (Moral or 10 commandments, civil and ceremonial laws) things spoken and given to Moses was given to him as a UNIT or as a WHOLE within that 40 days and nights. It was given TO ESTABLISH A COVENANT and to be observed AS COMMANDMENTS between God and NATIONAL ISRAEL. Hence, ALL that God said was a commandment, NOT just what he wrote on stones.

You'll notice the phrase changes here from 'tables of stone or tables of the covenant' to 'book of the covenant'. Originally written on stones by God but had now being translated or written into book.

These are the commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses for the children of Israel in mount Sinai. - Leviticus 27:34.....This mount Sinai was where he was for forty days and night, receiving the ten commandments and ALL OTHERS AS A UNIT OR AS A WHOLE.

There's no such teachings from scriptures that MORAL laws (10 commandments) are different from ceremonial or civil laws. Those who teach such are simply confusing Christians to still follow SOME parts of the law of Moses hereby placing them under a curse because if you must keep or observe the law of Moses, you MUST obey or obeserve ALL or NONE, else one is cursed.

Does anyone in the Old Testament refer to the 10 commandments specifically separate from the rest of the law and ordinances after they were given? Are the 10 given any priority above the others? I challenge anyone to find such a teaching, because they were ALL given as a whole or unit called the law of Moses, just as they are referred to by Jesus. When the law (singular) is referred to in the New Testament, it is taken as A WHOLE and whenever is it plural, it is taken as parts - It's the same things given together to Moses which is called the law(s) of Moses.

OLAADEGBU: Since Jesus is not talking to you my advise is that you yank out the pages of the synoptic gospels as you have done to the OT and start reading from the Acts of the Holy Spirit. He will guide you into all truth.

Where do you find the bolded in the quote? We can learn from others, release yourself from your pride. Again, what do we do with Matthew 23v23 and other such scriptures that you don't like? We should not discard, we should not apply, so what should we do with it? Does the person who Jesus is addressing make His words less true? Must He be addressing angels or Peter before we take Him serious? Jesus said"I came to call sinners to repentance" . He said " What God hath joined together, let not man put asunder". He said "God is not a God of the dead but of the living". He said " You must be born again, and God so loved the world that He gave". All these were to Pharisees and Sadducees. Many of His preaching, teachings, answers and parables were to pharisees. Are all these irrelevant to us because we are the church?

J luv u: To understand what deliverance can do see Hebrew 11:3[b]5" women received their dead raised to life again,others were tortured not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection[/b]. that mean those that accept deliverance received their dead back to life again,dead what? dead marriages, relationship, career, businesses,finances, spiritual life,etc but those that refused deliverance were tortured. tortured of what? tortured of hardship, poverty,broken home, frustrations,lack of helper, loneliness,hatred,etc we all need deliverance. Being born again not withstanding, if not for anything else at least for spiritual recharge.if you have confessed Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, it´s not automatic for you to be free from evil covenants,but a ticket for your freedom through deliverance in His Name.
