@ all, Anyone who resides in the U.S and closely watch Benny Hinn programme on TBN and TCT Network can also testify to this thread. I hope some people don't push this issue too hard to the extent that we have to order a copy of the Hinn programme where Robertson made the statement... ![]() |
OLAADEGBU: Since what you posted was similar to what you heard, did it say that Mitt Romney will win the U.S. Presidential election?Yes! He specifically said "God told him that Mitt Romney will win the presidential election" on Benny Hinn programme on TBN and TCT Network. I lie not in the Holy Ghost and heaven is my witness. There was no way I could record the Benny Hinn programme then that's why I tried to see if I get that Hinn's programme online. |
ShalomNigeria: Maybe you sent the wrong link. I just went through the links and there nothing about Obama or Romney winning. You should know how popular Pat is in Us because I think he owns CBN. There is no way he will say such thing and the internet will not be full. He actually said God showed him who the next president will be and went ahead to give some warnings. He specifically said the issue is a spiritual battle that can only be won by overwhelming prayer, "There must be a urgent call to prayer". I still believe this particular view doesn't make him a false prophet as you are trying to highlight.Where he specifically said "God told him Mitt Romney will win was on TBN and on was invited by Benny Hinn on Hinn's programme. I was watching the programme and didn't record that at that time. Heaven is my witness. I have nothing to gain from calling him a false prophet. |
okeyxyz: So what the heck does this bible quote have to do with the topic of false prophets? What has it got to do with the elections? How do you assume to judge who is or is not a false prophet when you can't even use scriptures in proper context?Bros, scripture is a two edge sword. That scripture can also mean that Pat Robertson is in rebellion against God's present ordained authority while such authority is still in power. Ne comprenez-vous? |
ShalomNigeria: Mr Goshen360, Please be careful how you accused people. The two links did not link these "men of God" to Obama winning or loosing the election. Rather they are trying to ask Christians to pray because the outcome of the election will affect America and the world. I'm not sure many bother to watch your links before posting. Many are only expressing their love and hatred for them. I tried to search the internet about your so call prophecy and found none. Maybe it will be there tomorrowOga, please cool down. You should have read my opening statement well enough sir. I said, Goshen360: "Sometimes last month (October 2012) before the United States 2012 election, I woke up and tunned in to watch one of the Christian program/tv. I found Pat Robertson on one of Benny Hinn show at about the end of the program and one thing I heard him (Pat Robertson) talked about is that God told him Mitt Romney will win the U.S 2012 Presidential election....I tried to get the video (of the Benny Hinn programme where Pat was invited and he said specifically on that programme that "God told him Mitt Romney will win the U.S Presidential election") online but can't get the exact program since I didn't record the programme while watching it but I got a similar video where the Pat Robertson said the same thing he said on Benny Hinn programme". |
OLAADEGBU: Where in the videoclips did Pat Robertson or Benny Hinn say that God told them "Mitt Romney will win"? There is no evidence based on the clips you posted, the only evidence revealed here is the kind of bandwagon mentality of all posters who would rather jump before they look.Brother Ola, cool down small abeg. This is not a gra-gra matter at all. Re-read my opening statement. I said, "Sometimes last month (October 2012) before the United States 2012 election, I woke up and tunned in to watch one of the Christian program/tv. |
@ Joagbaje, New Living Translation (©2007) God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? Numbers 23:19 King James 2000 Bible (©2003) God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: has he said, and shall he not do it? or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good? When a man said, "God told me"....it's heavy bro. |
@ Mr Anony, Kindly read the OP again. |
^^^ Am well and okay bro. Thanks for asking after my welfare jokingly. You are the best brother. I am always checking online but decided not to talk. ![]() |
Well, just finished watching the whole election show, Obama speech right now. It's 3.01 am here. I'm going to bed right now. Will be right back. |
musKeeto: What won't you say to protect crooks and dishonest elements like you?Thank you my dear brother.....wasn't really off but read all threads offline, chose to be quiet most time bro. ![]() |
Joagbaje: We should always avoid extreme hard words in our posts. The fact that his prediction didn't come to past doesn't make him a false prophet. False prophets has to do with doctrines as related to christ. People can miss it. In prophecy but they are still good ministers of God who just missed it. Prophets do miss it sometime in the bible . That's why the bible says else's should judge.Bro Joagbaje, My very point of emphasis is not whether he missed it or not, it is the fact that he said "God told him". When anyone come out to tell the whole world that "God told him" is the fact that such words carry weight. He wasn't guessing when he said those word bro. |

Sometimes last month before the United States 2012 election, I woke up and tunned in to watch one of the Christian program/tv. I found Pat Robertson on one of Benny Hinn show at about the end of the program and one thing I heard him (Pat Robertson) talked about is that God told him Mitt Romney will win the U.S 2012 Presidential election. First, I was like, what the heck is this man saying? Quickly as I listen to him, I ran some scriptural check on his prophesy to see if it aligns with the word of God and I can't but conclude then he is false prophet. New Living Translation (©2007) Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. Romans 13:1 Today, as Barack Obama is re-elected as the U.S President. How do we interpret what a prophet said "God told him Mitt Romney will win"? Many times I wonder what the body of Christ had turned into.....smh From the 9:44 - 20:00 minute of the video, Pat Robertson said, "God told him..." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOFhrb4xMfQ?version=3&hl=en ~ Thread modified with the video evidence below ~ After giving the first two videos, so many people called me all kinds of names on this forum. As God will justify me, I have nothing to gain calling another man a false prophet. Here is the video evidence where Pat Robertson made the statement: http://www.itbn.org/index/detail/lib/Networks/sublib/TBN/ec/d2OTloNjo9tRaXTztpEbywtMA40U4Eag |

frosbel: Wrong, the Trinity LIE of 3-gods is not all over scripture. So are you saying Apostle Paul didn't refer to Christ as God Are you saying John didn't call Christ God Are you saying Isaiah didn't call him God Those are three witnesses you can deny from the scripture...... ![]() |
ijawkid: I don't get you.......Na wha for you o this man.......Which God or GOD do I worship ![]() My answer, Goshen360: Herein is my answer..........and we may begin to have translation problem from this verse as rendered by some translation......I know you will quickly run to the translation website....... |
frosbel: Prophecy fulfilled as the apostles warned of those giving heed to doctrines of demons such as the Trinity. The Apostles NEVER said "such as Trinity" my brother. You are the very one adding to God's word by adding "such as Trinity". Even Apostle Paul called Jesus Christ God. John called him God etc. The Trinity of ONE GOD is all over the scripture. It is NOT doctrine of demons as you added "such as Trinity"...... ![]() |
frosbel: You are saying exactly what the Antichrist will say, that Jesus Christ the Son of GOD did not come fully in the flesh, he only met us half-way.Look at Frosbel twisting my words.......the very offense you committed and now saying am the one committing such offense. Na wah for you Frosbel. Mr Anony opened a thread for you to tell us who Jesus is, you refused and here you are with a thread "clearing the air on Jesus"......... ![]() |
ijawkid: Goshen I just have one sincere question to ask you.....be very sincere with your answer....Herein is my answer..........and we may begin to have translation problem from this verse as rendered by some translation......I know you will quickly run to the translation website....... ![]() New International Version (©1984) No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known. - John 1:18 I believe my worship to God is by God................ ![]() |
ijawkid: Make we no even Go far sef to argue.....Brother, you still are not getting what am saying. Am not saying He, Jesus is NOT called the firstborn. This firstborn is to his flesh nature NOT to his deity. The expression "firstborn of all creation", what does it mean? and what creation is it talking about? Is it creation or creatURES, we may have problem from translation as some render "creatION" while some render "creatURES", the expression first begotten? What does this mean? Does it related to Jesus in his human nature or to his deity? These are questions that clears the air on whether Christ was created or he existed eternally. |
frosbel: was this study based on the bible or the interpretations of menSee brother Frosbel, you are the very one that wants to ripe Jesus off his Deity. My point and argument with you is that, the scripture calls Jesus Christ and some translation may have mislead us BUT the wise thing for us to do as Christians is to leave issues like this the way it is. When you said, Jesus was called god in Heb.1:8, then we can also use same logic to say the Father too is god in John 1:1-2 and some other references where we have Jesus and the Father TOGETHER being referred to as God but rendered different by different translations. This is my argument with you. |
ijawkid: 1....First born of every creature nko??KJV......Okay, we wan to start translation wahala now abi........I don't want to enagage in translation issues BUT there is a study I did that gave me the conclusion that Jesus wasn't firstBORN of creatURES BUT of creatIONS.......I know where your own sect belongs on this matter as it is what your sect teach. We can go on and on as to translation wahala but there is a translation that shows the meaning of the creatION being talked about. We will get there soon, if we continue. |
frosbel: You have lost it , I cannot help you , honestly you need to pray for wisdom and read the bible without the lenses of tradition.Brother, abeg leaf this turn around skills of yours please. I really need you to help me out please. Answer the kweshion sir |
frosbel: run ? Is this the get out jail free card you borrowed from Enigma , lol.Okay, make I leaf topic to remain abi......fine. Now, discussing the Pre-existence of Jesus. Another kweshion to you, 1. Do you believe Jesus Pre-existed ![]() 2. If you believe He, Jesus Pre-existed, what did Jesus pre-existed AS ![]() 3. If you don't believe Jesus Pre-existed, state your reason. |
frosbel: you are trying to equate Jesus with YAHWEH , but the mere fact that he was FIRSTBORN totally destroys your logic. On one hand to refer me to lexicon and now referring me to oxford. Openly in the front of the whole world reading us, am NOT saying Jesus is NOT the firstBORN. The question you are trynna dodge is firstBORN of what? We have firstborn of goat, firstborn of human etc. David was the last but was called firstborn. The question you are dodging is Jesus was referred to as firstBORN of creation NOT creatURES.......aren't you getting it. Now tell us, is creat ION and creat URES the same thing ![]() |
frosbel: I know you are still researching this matter , let me give you another few months to find the truth. Don't tell me you are about to run again o. Today na Friday, please stay with me. I have lexicon at home and have done my research (whatever that means). Now, answer the question, Goshen360: And only in Heb. 1:8 Jesus was called God |
frosbel: what does the word 'BORN' mean to you.I have told you, forget about trinity or no trinity, concentrate on what the bible says. Is Jesus firstBORN of creation or creatURES, which one I believe you know the different between creatION and creatURES right .....You know say we never start dey open bibeli mimo...... ![]() |
frosbel: And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,And only in Heb. 1:8 Jesus was called God Okay, fine.....if he was "god" in Heb. 1:8, then we can as well say the father is also "god" in John 1:1 according to your logic......... , because in John 1:1, The Word was God......and was "with God". Now, using your logic again, let's rephrase John 1:1 this way, In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with god and the Word was god. He was in the beginning with god...John 1:1-2, How does this read to your logic ![]() |
Joagbaje: @God2manI hate to tell you "sharrap" but I can't help but say it. I don't know where you got this information you are disseminating from. I know many churched who are NOT greedily pastored here in the United States that NEVER preached tithing and don't believe it for the NT church/body of Christ. If you want prove and their names, I can give them to you. ![]() |
