U just rushed thru everything forgetting that d almighty cannot die,but Jesus did......

No do oo........

The explanations given on this forum are just enough......

Jesus isn't Yahweh.......

Yahweh is greater than Jesus.....

Yahweh and Jesus aren't equals....

Shikena....
This is the truth my brother. This is why I tell my other brothers that we teach Trinity together that they confuse and complicate the teachings of Trinity. GOD THE FATHER CANNOT DIE BECAUSE HE IS ETERNAL. GOD THE SON, DIED AND RESURRECTED AGAIN PROVING HE HAS POWER OVER DEATH. Until we understand the concept of "God" and the uses in scriptures, we may keep on the confusion.

@ frosbel,

No any bible believing and bible study student will argue that Jesus is NOT God. Jesus is God, I believe but the issue here is, Is Jesus (God) the SAME as the Father (God) or Is Jesus (God) the same being/person as the Father who is also God? This is the question we are talking about.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Jesus Christ Same As God Almighty?? by Goshen360(m): 4:35pm On Jun 08, 2012
@ Image123,

Can you please breakdown John 1:1 and 1 Tim. 3:16 you quoted for explanation?

In the beginning was the Word, the Word was "with God" and the word was God. John 1:1

Here is the "W"ord that was God and also in this text is the "God" that the "W"ord was with.....in the beginning. Can you tell us they are both the same and one person?

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 Timothy 3:16

In this context, which "God" was manifest in the flesh? and who or which God was received up into glory?
Christianity EtcRe: Is Jesus Christ Same As God Almighty?? by Goshen360(m):
@ ckkris,

Again, I Strongly believe in Trinity BUT the way you guys explain it to folks sometimes is being complicated and confusing. We are trying to make it simple and understandable. This is the goal. Now let's breakdown Col 2:9 in context,

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Who is the "he" in this context and who is the "Godhead" in this context. We are NOT arguing but just simple explanation.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Jesus Christ Same As God Almighty?? by Goshen360(m): 3:51pm On Jun 08, 2012
ckkris: The Word of God was made flesh. Please remember the SEMA, pronounced shema. Deuteronomy 6:4, Hear oh Israel , the LORD your God, (Elohim, plural in Hebrew), is ONE LORD.. Man, we are the people of The Book, The Book of Life. Rejoice! JESUS IS LORD.
Sir, you are confusing your knowledge. I appreciate your but you are not putting the teaching right. Where you quoted, "The Word with upper case "W", is used as a title or another name for Christ and different from when the lower case "w" is used. You cannot have "W"ord of God because that will mean God of God because Christ is referred to as the "W"ord. Its one of the many names of Christ apart from the three being called "God". It is Christ, the "W"ord that was made flesh NOT the Father.

Also, you quoted LORD God....is One. This is where many confuse. Whenever you "LORD" (all capitalized) in scriptures, that is the YHWH which is being pronounced Yahweh in Hebrew and you will read it with the difference "God" attached to it. Elohim is God and it's plural as you said, meaning "God" is not the name of one person. For instance, Gen 1:1,

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

This "God" here is Elohim and it is plural meaning, The Father is God, was in the beginning. The son is God, and was in the beginning. The Holy is God and was in the beginning. The is why "Elohim" is God in plural but still ONE.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Jesus Christ Same As God Almighty?? by Goshen360(m): 2:57pm On Jun 08, 2012
ckkris: Ijawkid,
Are you saying that the word of your God is outside Him? Then this your dead and dumb God, is definitely not Jehovah Elohim, who SPEAKS His Word, and things appear into existence. His Word, which is always inside Him, was made flesh, and His Word is Him, Jesus of Nazareth, and there no controversy, 1 Timothy 3:16
I quote 1 Tim. 3:16,

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

See the way you guys preach Trinity is sooo confusing. I believe in Trinity and I believe it can be understood. Now look at this 1 Tim. 3:16 and explain it. THE QUESTION IS WHICH "GOD" WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH? JUSTIFIED IN THE SPIRIT? SEEN OF ANGELS? PREACHED UNTO GENTILES? BELIEVED ON IN THE WORLD AND RECEIVED UP INTO GLORY? Do you think it is "God" the Father? Definitely NO and Capital NO because Jesus said No man has seen the Father but the Son (John 6:46). The "God" that manifest in the flesh is the "SON" Jesus who is also God. The same was the "God" that Preached and "RECEIVED" up, meaning ascended up into glory OR DID YOU EVER READ "GOD" THE FATHER WAS RECEIVED UP? The concept of Trinity is NOT complicated as some of you guys make it complicated. That's why people don't understand it. The context of 1 Tim. 3:16 clearly call proved it is "God" the son that manifest in the flesh, NOT the father but the Father, Son and Spirit are still God.

One thing you will have to understand is that, God rewards people that teach His word. You need to find that out bro. Whatever, question you have, there are teachers in the body of Christ to teach the truth....NO TITHE and Offerings collected before truth is taught on board here. We are servants of the Most High "sent" on the mission to preach the Gospel. So feel free to ASK (A-ask; S-seek; K-knock) and you will get an answer.
Christianity EtcRe: Is Jesus Christ Same As God Almighty?? by Goshen360(m): 1:19pm On Jun 08, 2012
@ frosbel,

I strongly agree in the concept of Trinity. Where there is a kind of confusion is the concept of "God". One being doesn't bear that name "God" in the Bible. So whenever you read in the scriptures the word "God", the context tells you what one is being referred to because the Father bears God, the Son bears God and the Holy Spirit also bears God. The scripture is clear as to the three being been distinct from one another but they are still God and they are one. "one" is the concept of the "unity", they never disagree but always agree not that they form one entity, so say they form one entity is to confuse the teaching of trinity. So as to Trinity, you and I don't have any disagreement, just that we might be saying things in different ways.
Christianity EtcRe: Great Bible Teachers On NL How Would You Interpret These Verses by Goshen360(m):
And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.

Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split,

and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised;
Matt 27: 50-52 Nkjv

Now, I will start from verse 50. Jesus was on the cross at this time. The cross is NOT just a piece of wood. The cross is place of message and mystery. Many things happened on the cross at this time and among those things that happened I will share with us. First, the bible says in verse 50 that Jesus "cried out again with a LOUD voice and YIELDED up His spirit". First, how can someone be on the cross and still cry out with a LOUD voice? This shows strength to the end and proving he voluntarily laid down his life (John 10:18 ). Also, this proves that Jesus on the cross didn't die as God but as man for God cannot die and God is eternal. The bible says he gave up his spirit, meaning he is a man on the cross with human spirit, he dismissed his soul and spirit. (James 2:26; Luke 23:46).

verse 51, After Jesus died, right on the cross there. The bible says "THEN". It means his death did something and without his death we cannot have "THEN" as to something that happened after the death. What did his death do? His death accomplished the following and each has a revelation in its own, this I will share. After he gave up his life (spirit), "THEN" the following happened according to verse 51 and 52, take a look at them below:

1. The veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom.
2. The earth quaked.
3. The rocks were split.
4. The graves were opened and
5. Many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised.

These are the five dimensions of Grace that was released by the death of Christ on the Cross. Remember, the cross is NOT just a piece of wood. I will NOT go deeper into the revelation of these five dimensions of Grace that was released by the death of Christ on the cross because of time to delve into each of them. However, I will delve into the first thing that happened which is the veil of the temple that was torn into two from top to bottom. Hey, I feel the anointing of the Holy Spirit so strong on this revelation. Why did the veil tear into just two and from top to bottom? Friends, It's not just piece of information you have there but a revelation. The veil could have torn into four or three or even any number and it could have torn from left to right or even any other direction. I feel the anointing to teach right now, I show you a mystery.

Ephesians 2:14-22 GIVES YOU THE REVELATION I AM SUPPOSE TO SHARE. Kindly read it slowly and align the reading with what happened on the cross and the context of Ephesians 2:14:22. In addition, after you slowly read Ephesians 2:14-22, you might need to understand that the temple here is physical temple and the death of Jesus on the cross here in Matt. 27 just changed it from physical temple into the temple of believers by tearing apart the veils. How did I know this, that the physical temple was a shadow and type? I take you to Heb. 9:1-9 but my emphasis is on verse 8-9 which says,

the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. It (the first tabernacle - mine added) [was] symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience.

In the physical temple, only the priest enter into the holy of holies to make atonement for the people once a year. In the physical temple, there was the veil which separate the holy place from the holy of holies. What this means is the type and shadow separating the Jews and the Gentiles. This veil was 60 feet (18m) high from top to the bottom or from ceiling to the floor, a type and shadows of heaven to earth and it was 30 feet wide (9.1m) wide. The rending of the veil signified the accomplishment and fulfillment of Christ destroying the veil of covering and partition between the Jews and Gentiles so that each that becomes a believer can NOW have personal access to God. Heb. 10:19-23; Eph. 2:14-18. It also means according to 2 Corinthians 4:3 (Niv), that the gospel will no longer be veiled to them that believed. It also means that veil being torn apart, believers can understand the buried mysteries in the OT through Christ. 2 Cor. 3:12-18.

(Please read these verses along in order to get the revelation, I can't quote everything along my teachings). This is how far I can go for now. Am tired typing and it's sleeping o'clock here. Enjoy the teaching.

@ Image123,

One thing I have always encouraged you to do when you study (not just reading and memorizing, am not saying you just read and memorize anyway, just pointing) the word is to deal with context. Now, let's look at this,

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth Gen.1:1

AND

In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God. John 1:1

In these two scriptures, the both have the phrase, "In the beginning" Do you think they are talking about the same thing or do you think both phrase mean the same thing? Context is the key my brother. Now, I will give you assignment to look up the Almighty you are referring to in Rev. 1:8 in the context and you may come back want to come back to explain to us what you found out. Yes, that verse say the Almighty but you need to get the meaning of that Almighty by the context. If Jesus is the "Almighty" in quote, then what position does God - the father (YHWH or Yahweh) take?

Also, looking at the John 1:1 quoted above. There are two people called "God" in the same context. Are they the same? No! There is a Word that was in the beginning that was called God, which is Jesus AND there is a "God" that the Word was "WITH" in the beginning. Kindly look up the meaning to the context of Almighty in Rev. 1:8 and you may wish to dig deeper on that, okay.

You now see why am an Apostle....the "sent" one, am following in the first order. cheesy cheesy cheesy

"Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. Acts 20:32 Niv

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (Jesus) am come that they (anybody fits in here) might have life, and that they (anybody fits in here, put your name) might have it more abundantly.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Heb 11:1 Nkjv

But without faith [it is] impossible to please [Him], for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and [that] He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Heb 11:6 Nkjv

My brother, I wish I can help you and open your spirit to these messages. It changed my life completely. Take a look at this also,

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 1 Tim. 6:9 Kjv

But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. NLT.

You don't have to seek riches because you are ALREADY rich. The problem is how to bring it to birth. This is what God and His word is ALL about.
Christianity EtcRe: Great Bible Teachers On NL How Would You Interpret These Verses by Goshen360(m): 9:49pm On Jun 07, 2012
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 2 Peter 2:4 kjv

PARALLELS WITH Jude v 6,

And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

In 2 Peter 2:4, it was "IF" God spared not the angels that sinned....it simply means God is not going to spare "sinners". What sin are we talking about here? We have to search out what was the sin of the angel that were not spared which applies to the sin of those that God will not spare also. In Jude verse 6, it was the sin of ungodliness (Jude 3) and sin of perverting of the grace of God as license for immoral living. it is also the sin of denying God and Jesus Christ. What is the sin of the angels that were not spared in 2 peter 2:4? it is the sin of rebellion because these angels rebelled with Lucifer.

These angels are Lucifer (Eze. 28: 11-17; Isa. 14:12-14, Luke 10:18 )

Angels who rebelled with Lucifer (Rev 12:3, 7-12) and the became destined to hell with Satan or Lucifer (Matt. 25:41, Isa. 24:21) and in Jude v 6 and 2 Pet. 2:4, they are called angel[b]S[/b] with plural, meaning it's not one but more than one apart from Lucifer.

So 2 peter is telling us, For "if" God spared not them those angels, God will not spare people who engage in such sins also according to Jude v 5. May God help us.

Am doing the second question....coming shortly.
Christianity EtcRe: Great Bible Teachers On NL How Would You Interpret These Verses by Goshen360(m): 9:15pm On Jun 07, 2012
Okay, here we go. I will start with the third question. 2 Peter 3:12. However, because verse 12 is a continuation of verse 11. I will add verse 11 for clarification purpose.

Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, v11

looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? v12.

You see, everything is all about context when you interpret the scriptures.

From verse 11, Apostle Peter began to tell us through the Holy Spirit that "since ALL THESE THINGS" will be dissolved, meaning heaven and earth will pass away. Since we have this knowledge that "all things" will be dissolved or pass away, how do we ought to live? We ought to live in holy conduct and godliness. With our holy living and godliness (vs.11) then we looking for (vs 12) and hastening the coming of the day of God. Hastening, the Greek word speudo which mean "hurry by extra effort" by our holy and Godly living. Hey, this does not mean the Lord does not know when he will return (Matt. 24:36; Acts 17:31). But when God set that day, it will happen after all his purpose for saving believers and building his kingdom in this present age had been accomplished and those purpose are accomplished when God works with human agents to bring them to past. Therefore, when Christians share the gospel with others (Matt 6:10) and advance the kingdom of God here on earth, they do "hasten" the fulfillment of God's purpose, including Christ's return according to Matthew 24:14.

The Apostle went further to tell us what will happen when the day of God comes, he said, "because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat". What heaven[b]S[/b] is he talking about? This heaven is in PLURAL with "s". There are three heavens in the bible, NOT seven. First is the abode of God and usually called heaven of heavens. Second and Third are the 2 heavens that belongs to our earth. The heaven called firmament which is our immediate sky (Gen. 1:8 ) Another heaven that belongs to our earth is the outer space, starry heaven where the sun, moon and stars are fixed in orbit. Gen 1:17, Isa. 40:22, Ps 19:4-6. Stars and other heavenly bodies been talked about here in 2 Peter 3:12 are NOT in our immediate sky.

So we have two heavens being referred to by Apostle Peter. How do I know? Simple because of the context that says, "and the elements". The elements here are the heavenly bodies known as the stars, moon and sun. They will all melt away and dissolved by fire at the coming of the day of God when there shall be a new earth and new heaven. The Apostle is NOT including the heaven that is the abode place of God but rather, the heavens that man explore. So verse 12 is telling us what will happen at the day of God or how the Lord will destroy this earth and heavens for a new heaven and a new earth.

I was listening to a known popular Television evangelist by the name of Joseph Prince and guess what, he said "Heaven does not record the sins of believers even though you sin" Am like WHAT! This is a Grace perverted Gospel.

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. Jude 4, Kjv

Jude 1:4
Contemporary English Version (CEV)

4 Some godless people have sneaked in among us and are saying, “God treats us much better than we deserve, and so it is all right to be immoral.” They even deny that we must obey Jesus Christ as our only Master and Lord. But long ago the Scriptures warned that these godless people were doomed.

Jude 1:4
GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

4 Some people have slipped in among you unnoticed. Not long ago they were condemned in writing for the following reason: They are people to whom God means nothing. They use God’s kindness as an excuse for sexual freedom and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Thanks for this the article. For those reading this article and to clear the mis-conception or mis-understanding in the article, it doesn't mean people should not attend church anymore but that the church system is "now" polluted and corrupted "like" the world system. Today, there seems to be no "clear" difference between the world and the "called out" of the world, the church. This is a call to be "different and be separate" from the "harlot" church which is becoming normal.
