This is the one of the best heritage Christians have in Christ and many Christians are still seeking their own righteousness, not accepting the righteousness of God. Everything the Bishop said about righteousness is absolute truth and I only hope to say few things on this words of his below:

God bestowed righteousness so that you can do right.

The day I understood this truth ^ above, my whole life changed. Salvation is a complete package that comes with righteousness, deliverance, all things that pertains to life and godliness etc. In us, at salvation is deposited righteousness of Christ so we are not working for righteousness but working OUT OUR righteousness which is same as working out your salvation (salvation already have righteousness in it).

When I always attack preacher on this forum who teach law as a means of correcting the Christian morals, it is because teaching law is fueling sin nature but teaching righteousness is fueling the righteous nature which brings the awareness of doing right out of our righteous nature. The Church need to teach righteousness more and that's what gradually corrects to maturity of believers, then they can start acting right as it is called.

^ Again, in every time and dispensation, the goodnews is one BUT what goodnews is preached in every dispensation is different. In our time and dispensation, the goodnews is still one but not the same ONE preached to Abraham and Adam and to Israel etc. I have few or one hour to stay here for now before I get other things done. Look deeply into this scripture:

You can draw out like almost 10 doctrines\comparison out by comparing those two verses.

Where is christiscoming to answer many questions above? I haven't seen him answer any of the questions put to him. To add more questions, where in the bible are some laws called moral law, ceremonial, sacrificial etc ?.

I have gone through the whole thread from where I left off. Many of our brothers here are still confused about what the gospel is.

When S'demi was asking, what the gospel is. Some of you are quoting what was preached AS GOODNEWS AT ONE DISPENSATION OR ANOTHER but the brother was asking what gospel was given or preached to u as a church.

The gospel is simply goodnews and it is ALWAYS ONE AT EVERY DISPENSATION AND TIME, NOT TWO. The gospel the church have today is ONE but NOT THE SAME AS THE ONE GOSPEL PREACHED TO LIKE ABRAHAM, PREACHED BY JOHN THE BAPTIST, PREACHED BY CHRIST. If you don't fit the gospel into different dispensation when preached, you confuse everything to be the same.

The problem here is, S'demi knows the deep truth about the gospel-dispensation but in my own opinion, he is not using right words in his explanation or teaching or might not be teaching it the way he knows it for everyone to understand. I will try follow the thread and see if I can help.

Let's keep the Spirit of humility in the thread as it is already in humility mode so we can all learn.

PLUS, I might be here Sunday morning (between 11am-1pm GMT) to see how the discussion goes and if I will contribute in a little way.

This has been a confusion to many, there's a big difference between Word (uppercase "W") and word (lowercase "w"). If you don't understand the difference as and when used in scripture, you mix it up. It's just same as scripture saying Christ is the Son of God and we, christians are the sons of God but you know there's a difference between the divine nature in us and divine nature of Christ. Study it!

Question: Who was Deuteronomy 22:5 SPEAKING to?
Answer: National Israel

Are Christians under the dispensation of the Law (of Moses)?
Answer: NO!

Therefore, EVERYTHING the law says, scripture says, it was APPLIES ONLY to the National Israel, everything, from A-Z. Rightly DIVIDE the word of truth and understand the dispensations (time & age) with which God operated and is still operating. People can as well teach that women should not wear ANY CLOTHES because Peter said, NO WEARING OF APPAREL. cheesy

Galatians 3:1-3.

Some people have believe and taught that ladies wearing trousers will go to hell, but this is false, they normally used Deuteronomy 22:5 to support their erreously teaching. The question those people should ask themselves are as follows:

1. If there is a man's garment, does that not implies that there is a woman's garment? (substitute trouser for garment in the above).
2. Did God make a seperate clothing for Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden when they sinned against him to distinguished their sex(gender).GEN 3:21.
3. Is Deuteronomy 22:5 not under the law of moses?
4. Are we still under the law of moses?
5. Didn't men wear skirt in the bible?
6. Are both men and women not wearing garments in the bible?
7. Where is trouser mentioned in the bible?(show me the verse pls).
8. Can't a lady be identified as a female when wearing a trouser?
9. If a man wears the kind of trouser ladies are wearing, how will it be?
10. Will all the ladies wearing trousers in the world go to hell?
11. Is it because ladies are wearing trousers that's why men are lusting after them or it is the spirit of lust that is in them?
12. Are men not lusting after ladies wearing a skirt?
13. Trouser and skirt which one cover the ladies' body most?
14. Should a lady wear skirt in NYSC CAMPS or in ATHLETICS such as high jump, long jump, football, basketball, volleyball, tennis etc
15. Should ladies be wearing skirt in cold regions of the world where temperature is below 7 degrees centigrade?
16. What is moderation in the bible?
17. Is it the outward appearance that takes one to heaven or the purity of the heart? 1 SAM 16:7.

Anyone against ladies wearing trousers should answer these questions and let the debate start or they should forever keep silent.

As for those against wearing of earings and make-up are just ignorant. Bible does not condemned wearing earings and make-up. In short if i marry, my wife will be doing all that. That will nt make anybody less spiritual and godly.
Finally, moderation and decency should be our concern in all that we do. Thanks.

^ As usual, talking so much, saying nothing. How does being Abraham's heirs according to promise correlate to tithing in Abraham's way? Do you also distribute the rest 90% as Abraham, if you following Abraham's example.

Scripture is very clear what connects us, Christians to Abraham - FAITH and NOTHING MORE.

Bidam: Oga..stop having a narrow perspective about God's kingdom.The gospel is ALL encompassing. Can you kindly answer the following?

1. What is the significance of the scripture?

2. Why do we have the accounts of Noah,the patriarchs Abraham,Isaac and Jacob,and the story of the nation of Israel?

3. What was the purpose of all the blood sacrifices?

4. Why is there a record of priests,prophets, and the lineage of kings?

I know of a sure, one day, you will understand as you keep studying. This is not narrow view concept. Josh quoted, the scripture that the gospel was preached to them as well as to us, IS IT THE SAME THING COMMITTED TO THEM THEN THAT'S COMMITTED TO US NOW?

Think about the question VERY WELL before you answer if you not sure, let fly or go and surely, we can talk about it some other times.

Why then are you preaching gospel of John to the church? Don't you see the difference between how repentance of John was preached to the sadducces and Pharisees? We can't be preaching such gospel to sinners and thinking we will win sinners to Christ. It is the goodness of God that leads to repentance, that's the gospel of repentance given to us, the church not the repent or go to hell that John was preaching.

Ola and the law advocates are confused. You will always see contractions everytime he lifts article from his PhD teacher. Check his profile.

Even in this same article here, he teaches conviction of the holy spirit and other the other hand, he teaches law as a means of future judgment and recommends ten commandments

Leave these people o, they think they can use KJV English confuse us. Many of these pastors know KJV English is confusing and hard to some modern student, so they use it as advantage to confuse church people. I have long discovered that trick.

My brother, it's you pple that don't understand aspect of Ola article I'm attacking. The ten commandments DOES NOT STOP PEOPLE FROM SINNING, in fact, people sin more as the commandments were given because given the commandments REVIVES SIN nature.

Ubenedictus: mr judge careful, ola presents a case of a sinner who doesn't feel guilty for his sins, goshen thinks he should be told that he has been saved through faith, the bible doesn't teach that as the right course of action. Instead the right teaching is that of sin and condemnation we have earned according to the law then you proceed to teach that God has offered a way out of sin and e condemnation of the law i.e grace.

You err! You should have asked me explain further. Carefully notice what I am jumping on Ola for. He recommends the ten commandments as a cure for sin and that's what I'm attacking. Get your facts right.
