That was unintended and has already been corrected!
After you were called out! You can't tell me you didn't read the verses before you posted the deliberate lies.

It was about the 6th hour he was brought to the crowd! 6th hour is already noon!

Mark claimed he was crucified by the 3rd hour which is 9am!

Reconcile these!

Show us how both are correct as you usually do![/size]
John was an eye witnesses of everything. Whatever you don't understand about what others wrote, go find your answers with John.

John did not just write but was instructed by other disciples to commit the life of Jesus into writing so that people can get clarity since several hundreds of people were churning out books about Jesus. After John wrote, his records were cross-checked and certified by other disciples.

While the other gospel writers wrote what they wrote in their zeal to have the history of Jesus recorded, they gathered information from various people. They were never eye witnesses. They recorded the events truthfully as they knew them to be. These recorded events give us a glimpse into the life of Jesus and His sayings but salvation is solely dependent on Jesus alone. Not on the letters of the Bible.

Which one is level of knowledge again? Is knowledge judged by level or by holy spirit?
When even the last words of Jesus is contested amongst the gospels. You're really amazing!
Are you kidding me?

Someone who does not read the Bible cannot be as knowledgeable
concerning it as someone who is an avid student of the Bible!

Before Jesus's death he said all these as his last words:

Eli Eli lama sabachthani

Eloi Eloi lema Sabachthani
Same word written in different pronunciation. What's your problem with that? If I tell you 'God' in Yoruba, and you go out to write that I said Ọlọrun or Olohun, which of them is a lie!? It's obvious you're just trying to force blames on the Bible. Very obvious!

Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit.

It is finished.

Can you help arrange the sequence he said all these? The sequence doesn't matter! The sequence doesn't save! Bla nla!
Jesus said more than that on the cross. Those are not His only Words. These are what some of His disciples remembered and have written down! If you have good logic, you'll know the sequence yourself. I have provided the sequence in a previous response. I won't reoeat myself to someone who is just a deliberate enemy of himself.

More like a last paragraph/sentences not words!
Done in a previous post! Go read it again!

Hidden message? Who hid the message? Jesus or God? Where and when was it hidden? Why was it hidden?
The Word of God is deep. It is called Living Water. The letters are on the surface for shallow and canal minds like you to stumble at. Genuine seekers dig deeper and find Gold. The letters are not the Word of God. You don't have the Word of God until you have the revelation or heaven.

Only one did mention it. Others mentioned more than that! That's settled.
Can you see systematic lying? Which of them did not mention "King of the Jews"!

It would be a lie since the holy spirit is useless in guiding you in this regards. Which Jew should he explain it to? It was a Christian monk who asked a companion of the Prophet! And he answered well. This is why I always say most of you are hypocrites!
He a sweet falsely. Mohammed has been known for falsehoods and coverups. He said Mariam the sister of Aaron was the mother of Jesus. Mariam is not the mother of Jesus biologically, chronologically or in any figure of speech. They do not belong to the same lineage and Mariam was never regarded as a mother of Israel in any sense of the word for her to have been called the mother of Jesus. Mohammed was just a pathological liar.

Tabloids are not the word of your God nor claimed to be guided by the holy spirit. It's alright if you don't see anything!
Tabloids are not the word of God but the same principles apply. Tabloids are written by men, the Bible was written by men. Men are not perfect in knowledge, hence, they complement each other when they write individually on the same topic!

Others will respond to you according to their levels of knowledge. But as someone who has studied the Bible from cover to cover countless times, I have given you my findings. The Gospel are complementary. No single Gospel covers every detail of Jesus' life. Even the four gospels together did not cover all the details of Jesus life. To have more details about any event, you need to read all 4 gospels and fill in the gaps.

All what Jesus did in life and on the cross were in sequence. The sequences are scattered all over the 4 Gospels.

When Was Jesus Crucified?
The crucifixion of Jesus is the central event of the Passion narrative, but the narratives don’t agree on when the crucifixion occurred.
1. Mark 15:25 - Jesus was crucified on the “third hour.”
2. John 19:14-15 - Jesus was crucified on the “sixth hour.”
3. Matthew, Luke - It’s not stated when the crucifixion starts, but the “sixth hour” occurs during the crucifixion

Which is correct?
A. 3rd Hour.
B. 6th Hour.
C. 6th Hour occurs during the crucifixion.
Why can't you be truthful for once? Quote the verse out and point out where John said Jesus was crucified at the 6th hour.

John 19:14-15

"14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!

15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
"

Where did John saw in the verses above that Christ was crucified in the 6th hour?

And also state how the 6th hour occured during the crucification as narrated by Mathew and Luke.

Those who carried on after the apostles for 300yrs before the Roman government introduced strange practices into the Church didn't do any of these things you Catholics do.

Christianity EtcRe: Unanswerable Crucifixion Tales 6 - What Is Jesus’ Last Words? by GothamCities: 6:18pm On Nov 12, 2024

Jesus’ Last Words
1. Jesus’ last words before dying are important, but no one seems to have written them down.
2. Mark 15:34-37, Matthew 27:46-50 - Jesus says: “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (but they use different Greek words for “God”— Matthew uses “Eli, is” and Mark uses “Eloi”)
3. Luke 23:46 - Jesus says: “Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit.”
4. John 19:30 - Jesus says: “It is finished.”

The three options are as follows:
A. Eli Eli (or Eloi, Eloi) lama Sabachthani!
B. Father, into thy hands I commit my spirit!
C. It is finished!

So what is Jesus's last words?
Whether Jesus said Eli or Eloi is irrelevant! Both means 'God.'

The Gospels complement each other, so Jesus' last words were: "It is Finished! Father, into thy hands I commit my Spirit."

If you are not doing what the original founders started and have devised your own personal strategies of worshipping God, you are not a Christian. That's the summary. It doesn't matter how you sugarcoat it.

Being a Christian entails following certain lay down traditions and dogmas. Imagine you trying to be Chinese when you don't have Chinese roots. That's a futile exercise.

So it doesn't matter how many times pentecostals repeats that they're Christians, they lack the capacity to make themselves Christians even if they worship Christ.

This should be simpler to understand now for you.
The foundation of the church is from Jesus Christ and His 12 apostles. Now use them to justify imagery, rosaries, the queen of heaven and and "mother of God" that the catholics practice.

A word of God should not contain error as clear as this. Again only one Gospel used "king of the Jews" others were wrong as they had more details! This questions the source of the reports!
Yes, the word of God is the hidden message of love that the Bible carries. Not the letters that were written.

1. Mark 15:26 - The inscription:“The King of the Jews.”

2. Matthew 27:37 - The inscription: “This is Jesus the King of the Jews.”

3. Luke 23:38 - The inscription: “This is the King of the Jews.”

4. John 19:19 - The inscription: “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.”
So which of them didn't mention King of the Jews?

The Christian monks asked the same question during the time of our Prophet and it came to his notice:
Mughira ibn Shu’ba reported: When I came to Najran, the Christian monks asked me, “You recite the verse, ‘O sister of Aaron,’ (Qur'an 19:28) but Moses was born long before Jesus by many years.” When I came back to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, I asked him about it and he said, “Verily, they used to name people with the names of prophets and righteous people who had passed before them.”

Lies!

Mohammed explicitly said the sister of Aaron was the mother of Jesus. That coverup of the lies holds no water. Mohammed should have boldly followed the fellow to go explain that to the Jews if he was sure of himself!

How are we to trust every other things in the Bible when ordinary Inscriptions are wrong from the four Gospels?
You have failed to show me any error so far!

So you determine they complement each other on your own?
grin grin grin This is extremely funny! Anyways! I had expected this before! Thank you for your time!
A careful study of all the Gospels together already shows they're complementary. Each person says what he knows while others provide more details for the same event. This is typical of all reports made by men for every event that happens. The typical tabloids are classical examples.

Did Mark himself know the meaning of a theme?

1. Who told you Mark was there to hear before?

2. This can't be proved! Holy Spirit selected the conversation as unimportant for Mark but it was important for Luke! grin
Yes! Everyone has his own message. The Holy Spirit does not send any single individual to preach EVERYTHING!

3. Mark forgot.... Too many excuses from your bank! You just can't exhaust your excuse bank for all these visible lies! Do you know Mark has two endings, a longer one i.e. Mark 16:15–20 and a shorter one without it?
Can you show me where I said Mark forgot?

That's how dubious and corrupted that book is!
The dubious and corrupted book is the one that said sperm is produced in the backbone of men, and that Mary the mother of Jesus was the sister of Aaron. The Quran is such a dubious book that even said there was a Samaritan with Moses as they journeyed from Egypt. While also claiming to have fallen from heaven!

The Bible didn't fall from heaven. It was written by frail men who had no perfect knowledge but were willing tools in God's hands to pass His message down to us. It is the Quran that is dubious to have claimed to come from heaven and yet have so many weird errors, contradictions and satanic verses.

So whether it is composed of lies or not! You accept it by faith! That's a typical Christian dogma! Letter kills! Thanks!
The only difference is that there are no lies! Everyone narrated what he knew to be the truth!

I quoted from the Greek translation and normal dictionary! And that suffices me. From a distance or from afar is a long way from the source!

The Holy Spirit was to guide to the truth! Yet, they wrote the wrong things!
What was the wrong things they wrote? Is it as wrong as Mohammed who wrote that Mary the sister of Aaron was the mother of Jesus?

However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come. John 16:13
Was the inscription a truth that was to come as the time they wrote? Was it a revelation?

They were written independently and not to complement each other! And this one can't complement one another as only one can be right!
They complement each other. They didn't write to complement each other but they complement each other!

If there was he would have written it. A conversation that involves fishers of a criminal who's supposed to meet Jesus in Paradise that day he died! Mark missed it.
What was the theme of Mark's message? Was it about meeting Jesus in paradise? Or you don't know that each book has its theme?

1. Mark may not hear about the conversation.

2. The conversation may not be important to mark.

3. While writing, Mark may not remember to include the conversation in his piece. If it was important, the Holy Spirit would have reminded him.

That event holds no significance to the salvation of souls!

Holy Spirit didn't guide them at all. Neither did they witness any even! The most important even of Jesus clearly has a lot of contradictions! Explain how both the thieves taunt Jesus and how only one taunted Jesus?
Your shot yourself in the legs by saying they were not at the events. Yeah, if they were there, they would have recorded the same things. Everyone recorded what was reported mostly by the women and John. John was with Christ on the cross. Not all the writers wrote from John or the women. The events happened. Whether there was a conversation or not, both taunted Jesus or one, does not mean anything to our salvation.

At a distance means far! At least you can't hear Jesus's words at a distance!

If you are at a distance from something you are a long way away from it in space or time.

Again in the Mark 15:40 you quoted the Greek word translated is makrothen which means From a (long) distance, afar! Check attached or Biblehub link https://biblehub.com/mark/15-40.htm

Did you meet Jesus on earth? You can only learn about Jesus from the same error prone Book! The error is in the inscription!
Without stating the error, it's just your personal delusion.

The matter is clear here! If you ask a kid to memorize a Phrase i.e. The King of the Jews and later the kid gives you one of:

This is Jesus the King of the Jews
This is the King of the Jews
Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews

Na F9 be that o!
But no one was given anything to anyone to memorize. That's the difference.

Meanwhile, if 3 kids were told to narrate an event and describe what was written on the cross if anything was written on it, after many years of the event,

one said "This is Jesus the King of the Jews"

Another said "This is the King of the Jews"

Then another also said, "Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews"

None of the kids are lying, especially when they're reporting it in a language different from the inscription!

The inscription is not what saves! It is absolutely irrelevant!

In Mark there was no conversation between the three!
Matthew and Luke says there was a conversation!
John was silent!
Did Mark expressly say that there was no conversation? Or you don't know what a contradiction is? Mark simply didn't record the conversation. He never said there was none.

One reporter thought..? Are they using their thinking now? Which reporter was guided by the Holy Spirit? Which was not? I won't be amazed if you say both were guided!
Yes, they used their thinking, experience and knowledge of the event while being guided by the Holy Ghost to write what they know to be the truth. The event they recorded is not a revelation. Everything took place on earth.

Of course it does matter! (The Letter Kills.... grin) If they were far from the crucifixion they won't hear anything! And it was clear people were being intimidated while Jesus was arrested! You still refused to reconcile if the women were at a distance as in Mark or close to the crucifixion as John said!
At a distance does not mean they were far. It only means they were not at the foot of the cross. They at least would give the soldiers some distance. That does not mean they were not within hearing shot of the cross.

AntiChristian:
Okay let's agree they were criminals = thieves!

The Holy Spirit then guided each to write opposing things on the same subject matter right? If the report is true then it shouldn't contradict one another. The happenings as i said are not mutually exclusive.
You actually need to bring out the contradictions. Tell us exactly how they contradicted themselves.

Expatiate and create your own Gospel. Did one thief taunt Jesus or the two taunts Jesus? How did it happen mutually?
The two spoke about Jesus. Simple. One reporter thought both taunted, another clarified.

Mark 14:51 says "A young man, wearing nothing but a linen garment, was following Jesus. When they seized him, 52 he fled naked, leaving his garment behind". They were arresting anyone they knew with Jesus. Even Peter followed him at a distance Mark 14:51

In 3 above the women were standing by the cross while in 2 they were watching from a distance!

Add all these together and come up with another Gospel!
The women wee there and witnessed the event. Do not change the discussion. Where they stood does not matter. They at least saw and witnessed. That puts a nail to the coffin of your false narrative about the absence of all disciples.

Abeg, it does matter!

If you're asked what the inscription on the cross is you can only give one of those options!

Which makes others wrong!

Was "Nazareth" written on the cross?

I know where this will end!

Paul's the letter killeth and I need the holy spirit to explain things to me!

Why didn't the holy spirit correct Matthew, Mark, Luke and John to write the correct inscription?

All of them are different! Each having a 0.25 probability of being true! That's a low possibility!
Whether Nazareth was written or not, something was written on the cross. Period! Everyone recorded what they heard. What was written on the cross is not what saves. The important point is that Pilate wrote His accusation which was "The King of the Jews". That's all.

Good! All thieves are criminals but not all criminals are thieves! Why did they use each word interchangeable when they clear have a different meaning?
What different meanings do the the words thief and criminal have? Tell us please. One person says he is a criminal without specifying his exact crime. Another person provides more details by stating the exact crime - he's a thief. What different meanings?

Not recording a conversation that happened when it matters is akin to falsification of tales. It also shows lack of depth and reproducibility! How is Holy spirit involved in all these?
Not recording a conversation that happened does not in anyway disparage the report. If a person is not aware or does not have the details of the conversation, should be record it? If he is unsure about what they discussed, of course he doesn't have to mention it in his book. The Holy Spirit is still involved because He would guide the man to write the truth only according to the best of his knowledge.

Both incidents can't be mutually exclusive! One is right and the other wrong! Tell us who is right and who is wrong! I know most of you will choose Luke to be right since it proves Jesus be with the criminal in paradise!
Like only gave more details. The reports don't cancel one another.

In Mark 14:50, it was said that the disciples fled during the purported arrest of Jesus! Then everyone deserted Him and fled. I wonder who were the witnesses that gave the tales. So you agree holy spirit wasn't directing the scripts? They were writing what they thought was what happened according to the info they received!

Of course it shows more than that. You have to look at the dates each was written to compare well!

Mark came first!

Luke and Matthew around the same time!

John came very much later!

So you can see why John was very much exaggerated and improved than all others!
And Matthew and Luke has many points of correlation as if they had a material they both used!
And you did never read that some of the women disciples remained with him there at the cross?

1. Matthew 27:55-56: "Many women who had followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering to Him, were there looking on... Among them was Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joseph, and the mother of Zebedee’s sons."

2. Mark 15:40-41: "Some women were watching from a distance... Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James the younger and of Joseph, and Salome."

3. John 19:25-27: "Standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother, His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene."

Or, is it difficult for you to realize that the women would tell the others what happened?

Nah! This essentially false!

This is not the point. The fact that the Holy spirit is involved necessitates top-notch accuracy!

They are not the same at all and only one can be true!

[size=12pt]

You should detail the falsehood! The accusation written on the cross was that He claimed to be the King of the Jews, yes or no? The renderings do not matter in good logic. The writers didn't write in Latin, and are not particular about putting it down word for word. The incident was a reported incident!

The fact that the Holy Spirit is involved necessitates top notch accuracy in the realms of spiritual revelations and not in the realms of terrestrial events that is the realm of man.

The Holy Spirit uses your knowledge, experiences and abilities. He can amplify them but that does not suspend your need for knowledge, research and mental alacrity.

If the Holy Spirit gives you top notch accuracy about all events and happenings, then the Bible won't command us to "study to show ourselves approved." You need to research, read and gather knowledge to write. The Holy Spirit won't reveal everything to you, except you directly ask. Humans are not God. The Holy Spirit does not make anyone omniscient!

Okay, please answer A -D right now!

I don't want to hear the letter killeth here o!
1. What's the difference between a thief and criminal? Is a thief not a criminal?

2. If someone chooses to record conversations and another does not deem it fit to record the conversations, does that then mean that the conversation didn't take place? Everyone recorded what they felt to be important, and if anyone recorded conversations, then, yes, the conversations took place!

3. If one person says the two thieves taunted Jesus, he wrote according to the information available to him. Another person wrote and clarified what exactly happened! One taunted and the other didn't!

4. If they don't count it to be important or they were not aware of the incident since they themselves were not at the foot of the cross.

These all shows that the disciples were not writing from a script. They all recorded an event that happened and narrated according to the limits of their human knowledge.

The point is that "The King of the Jews" was the basis of His accusation according to Pilate.
Christianity EtcRe: Unanswerable Crucifixion tales 3 - Jesus and the thieves/criminals. by GothamCities: 7:04am On Nov 12, 2024

This story is completely false!

1. It is a fact everywhere that the Romans DO NOT crucify thieves!

2. The Gospel account of the story does not add up in each of the four Gospels.
In Mark - The two thieves are mentioned, but there is no conversation at all.
In Matthew 27:44 - The two thieves taunt Jesus.
In Luke 23:39-42 - One thief taunts Jesus and is criticized by the other. Jesus promises the 2nd thief that they would be in Paradise that day, though John and Acts say he did not ascend to heaven until 40 days after his resurrection!
John - The two men aren’t described as thieves but criminals! Goes against the other three above!

Or is there any other explanation around these?
A. Are they thieves or criminals?
B. Was there a conversation between the thieves or not?
C. Did one thief taunt Jesus or the two taunts Jesus?
D. How can the incidence in Luke happen and the three other Gospel fail to narrate a big story like that?
The Romans don't crucify thieves that are Roman citizens! Thieves that are foreigners to Rome undergo regular crucification!

Everyone wrote what he knew about the crucification to the best of his knowledge. What Mark knows, Luke may not know. What John knows, Mathew may not know. Hence all the reports put together give us a lot of details about what happened. Not necessarily everything that happened. We cannot know everything that happened but the four gospels complementing one another gave us good details.

Inscription on Jesus’ Cross!

When crucified, Jesus’ cross had an inscription — but what did it say?

1. Mark 15:26 - The inscription:“The King of the Jews.”

2. Matthew 27:37 - The inscription: “This is Jesus the King of the Jews.”

3. Luke 23:38 - The inscription: “This is the King of the Jews.”

4. John 19:19 - The inscription: “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.”

embarassed

This Apostle John Sabi put top-notch jara o!

Na so we dey see INRI above Jesus head on the alter!

Latin - "Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum"
English - "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews"! Every Christian loves John!
You just want to be a nuisance for absolutely no reasonable cause!

What was written on the cross was INRI. Was the Bible originally written in English? Different translators translated INRI in different way which all meant the same things but you're here being a nuisance.

You knew this before you came to answer the question in the thread! And the Holy spirit in you should be able to explain to us without the Holy Spirit. It seems people have to embrace Holy Spirit to understand the Bible!

How are men spirits housed in Human bodies according to Genesis 2:7 Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being?

That breath of life na spirit abi? So where did the soul enter Adam?
Yeah, the Holy Spirit has given me answers to all the childish questions you've asked. You're really carnal and lacking in spiritual understanding.

Did you quote Genesis 2:7 and still asked where the soul came from? Your answer is in the same Genesis 2:7 you quoted.

"And God formed the human [adam] dust from the ground [adamah], and he exhaled into his nostril breath of life [spirit], and the human became as a living soul. "

I don't think your Holy Spirit is capable of explaining the verses!
The word is a spirit, was Jesus a spirit when he said the verse? He said for whatever the father does the son does!

What revelation do i need to explain what is clearly an extreme exaggeration just like the trinity?
You're very limited in understanding since you're not spiritual. You're carnal and your eyes aren't open.

God's Word is Spirit. Jesus was a Spirit covered with flesh. Even men are spirits housed in human bodies. What's difficult for you to understand in that? You keep asking childish questions that even a 9 year old should not ask.
