Follow the steps below, and ensure that your phone is indeed Redmi note 5a prime.

Copy the rom into the internal memory of your device in a folder you should name downloaded_rom, then go to the updater app, tap the 3 dots on the top right of your screen, choose update package, then scroll down to the folder, 'downloaded_rom ', and tap on the rom. Update will begin automatically, don't stop it till it's completed, takes around 15 mins. Ensure you switch on data during the process.

This is where software come to play, software is basically how the manufacturer implements the 3 parameters that affect light in photography - ISO, Shutter speed, and aperture, there are other parameters though like saturation, colour temperature, etc This is one reason a software update can improve the quality of your camera. In mobile photography, aperture cannot be tweaked or changed, its constant. This is what Samsung tried to solve abit with their variable aperture on the S9 series, but it's still just two apertures, f1.5 and f2.4 I think.
What am saying is, the aperture is always constant, but the ISO and shutter speed change with different light conditions when snapping with mobile phones, you can confirm by looking at the details/properties of different pics in your phone gallery.

Apart from the aperture, other factors like ISO and shutter speed affect the quality of your pics. A wider aperture/lower f-number has the advantage of of giving you brighter pics in low light conditions but with the disadvantage of losing focus around the corners. Taking a group picture with a f3.5 is far better than using f1. 8 because only those at the middle will be in focus when using f1. 8, others will come out blurred. It's better to get a lens that can take clean pics with a higher ISO and f2.2 than use one with a lower ISO and shooting with f1. 8 all the time.

Clearly this 10.2 MIUI update has plenty bugs. Since updating, I notice occasionally, my screen gestures freezing or becoming non functional. I'd have to lock the screen and unlock for the gentures to come alive again. Also, atimes when I swipe to go to home screen it takes me straight to recently used apps. Battery live seems unaffected though, still amazing.

Download the rom manually and flash via updater. You might need to do it twice.

@dacronym, what you're experiencing isn't the norm for screen replacement o, not for note 4X at least.

Get a good screen, you can replace it ursef if you have the tools, with YouTube videos as guides
