udosam:
Hello boss @Gptech,

I have this small generator. It was not starting after they serviced it, so they came back and said it was the plug terminal which they changed(he used the one in his bag) and it started and worked. But now it will be working and then off then when I will change the plug it will work for sometime and then after some say 10 hours working, it will off and if I change plug it will work again (this is the plug that was in it before o)

Is it possible that the gen is killing the plug because I have 3 plugs now and when I change to any of them, the gen will start but off after doing plenty shakara.

Pls what could be the issue, might it be the same terminal? I am thinking of buying a new terminal since the one he used to change was old.

Pls help!!!
Get another engineer to service it well.

I have an Elepaq 2.5kva that runs 5hrs on 3 litres fuel and i have another Tec Hustler (digital voltmeter) 3.75kva that runs for 2hrs on same 3 litres. Elepaq powers only 1000watts dry iron while Tec powers 2200watts steam generating iron + two energy saving bulbs. I felt the Tec fuel consumption is on the higher side.

Gurus in the house, what can i do to reduce Tec's fuel consumption?
Its not too high. The Tec is bigger than the Elepaq, so it will naturally consume more. The main difference is in the power of the pressing iron, to compare, use the 1000W iron on the Tec, you'll notice a huge difference in consumption.

Boss I dey market now like this, I intend buying tiger (I pass my neighbour gen) but I do see people in this thread talk about thermocool so I saw one Junior 1500w for 85k that's double the tiger generator's amount, what's your advice boss.
I need something to power a TV, fan and decoder/DVD with charging phones...
Buy Thermocool, you can't see an original Tiger again. Buy only from Thermocool showrooms.

Dear masters,

Kindly help make some decisions on these attached pictures.

Not sure of what the differences are.

There are two(2) 3.0kva firman and the one with the handle is 3.1.

The. Senci is a 3.5kva.

All my devices are inverter based; 1.5 A/C, washing machine and a fridge. Microwave at times. Not all would be used at same time definitely.

Kindly also help decide which of the 3.0 is the better.

Thanks for all you do.
Don't be confused because of kva, for the Firman generators, assuming all are original, the second pics is the most powerful.

Alright.

Do you know the price range and
Is there a way I can differentiate original from fake i.e if fake is available in the market. Where I am there is no thermacool store
Buy from Thermocool showrooms, price should be around 80k plus.

@ Gptech Please how long should 1 liter last on I pass my neighbor generator?

I've never timed it to know if mine consume too much. I bought #700 fuel+ #200 engine oil, combined 4.3 liters.
It lasted for 7.5 hours only.

And please what type of Gen would I need to power
93 liter fridge(size after bedside), 32inch TV, standing fan, sound bar, PS, decoder and 3 light bulb?

I'll be happy if you can recommend brand, KVA, budget and fuel consumption I should be expecting. Low noise also.
1 litre should last around 2.5 to around 3 hours depending on the load.
I recommend Thermocool TEC junior, fuel consumption is around what is stated above, but it's loud.

Hello GP,

My mechanic advised me to ring the engine of my Thermocool BOBO, but my friend said its best i buy half engine for a lasting solution.

The generator works fine, fuel consumption is optimal but it uses up engine oil.

What do you think is best?

And where is thermocool service center located on the mainland?
Your friend is right. You should call their customer care line for the service center closest to you

Hello bros,

I'm planning to replace the avr of my thermocool junior max 1500 ms and I will like to know if there is a particupar one in the market that I should buy that is original.

Do you think it is something I may be able to fix myself or I'll need to contact a technician?

WHITELIGHTER:
Oh, that's good to know...I was thinking something around 2KVA
2Kva is actually an over kill for your load. Well, since you are expanding, it's wise to get the bigger generator because you might need it sooner than expected, and price is not friendly in 9ja as time progresses.
Technology MarketRe: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by Gptech(m): 3:04pm On Sep 26, 2021

Thanks. Tec Junior is 1.25KVA, will it be able to carry all the listed items without stress?
Of course, unless those other small extras you talked about are power hungry.

The one they are selling for #2000 for 1 litre.
I think it's 20W-50, if that's what's written on the can, you can use it.

Professors,

please what generating set do I need to power 1.5 inverter LG AC, inverter fridge?

Also, any idea on the cost, ratings, and others?

Appreciate you.

NobleEngineer:
Generators, transformers etc are better advertised in their KVA ratings.
Naxo. But the motive tends towards cajoling consumers to think they are purchasing a more powerful device. People with 3.5kva generators think their generators are rated 3. 5KW (3500W) when in reality it is 2.8kW (2800W).
Technology MarketRe: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by Gptech(m): 7:29pm On Sep 22, 2021
WarriAproko:
about 3.5kva.
Its actually 4.125 KVA max and 3.75kva rated. Kva and wattage are not same. Watt =Kva×0.8
The issue is many sellers and some manufacturers prefer to advertise their products in kva instead of watts because kva looks bigger in figures and many consumers have the notion that kva = watts. In fact, some will prefer to advertise with max/surge/starting power rather than the rated /running power, and all these in kva. Even Thermocool is guilty of advertising in kva with their 2021 releases, the Tec major you use is not stamped with 3300/3000W anymore, it's now 3.75kva.

God bless you for the prompt response. Will get a new plug and will also try to get the spark plug cleaned.

220-240
I have a voltage reader in the house so I used it to monitor the increase and decrease of the generator voltage. I have tried voltages from 210-250volts but still thesame issue.
The freezer works perfectly on my small gen which is set to 220 volt.
This your case is strange ooo. By the way, how did you increase the voltage, is it from the AVR? Try not to go above 240V for the safety of your devices.

I wanna buy a generator... Sumec firman spg3000 or Tec bobo max 2.5kva are on my mind... It's a 2 bedroom flat ...I have 2 32 inches tv ... One 50 inches Tv... Small one door LG fridge... Not the hotel type( medium fridge) ... The one a bit bigger than it ... I also plan to buy a 100liter small refrigerator... Please I need a fuel efficient gen... A reliable generator .. which is better between the two of them huh Fuel efficient
Both are good, the Sumec is bigger and has to consume more fuel of course.

Power is 6000 running Watt. With the current situation, you'll be spending over 400k.
