pls how long should one use engine oil before changing? I only use it 3-4 hours a day? I just observe now that my gen is kind of jerking as if d fuel is finish and it is not. D voltage goes up n down. I normally change d oil when it acts like this and it works well but it is not even up to two months I changed it.

If you use your generator this way everyday, then it's advisable to change oil between every 2 - 3 weeks. Start by changing the oil now, it is already too old.

What I found online. It's 1.5Hp. Get a gen of around 3000W.

You need to check the power of the speaker(s) first, then how many bulbs are you talking about and how many watts? Are you not going to use an amplifier? What's the power of each item?

no that's not right. Real specs is 3400 watts starting,3100 watts running. That's what's written on mine .see chat with firman customer care below.

Even the rep does not know the difference between KVA and KW. You didn't even need to chat her up, go with what's written on your generator. Many information on many websites are misleading.

It's a perfect With your load, one litre of fuel should run for almost 3hours.

Battery is probably flat. Use another cord/ charger to charge it, your cord might be faulty too.

Around 5.5kva should do. That 3500W of sound power is different from 3500W electrical power. There's a misconception about sound power, people now refer to 3500 P.M.P.O as 3500W which is wrong. The power rating of that sound bar won't be even up to 800W.

Obviously fake! Original should be around or over 200k. You should check Firman flagship stores to confirm.

My gen started making a weird sound that is similar to when the last drop of fuel is about to be quenched from the tank. However, the fuel tank is filled up and the oil tank is filled as well. My gen guy checked it and he concluded that the engine is weak and he advised me to buy half engine. How trusted is this suggestion?

It can't be weak engine if you have been taking good care of the generator and generator is not old. Get another technician to check it.

On maxi or thermocool. Though I heard maxi has less noise than thermocool.

Won't be surprised. That most likely will be because the Maxi has a smaller engine.

Its obvious. They even had a thread to mimic this one, but the Mods acted swiftly. I wonder why the desperation to market to the point of even misleading people. Someone saying a 1.2kva generator will power a 1.5hp inverter AC. This is just pure wickedness, smh.

That gen is around 3.375KVA. It should power it if it's inverter AC especially. There is no cheaper alternative.

Between maxi and thermocool which is more fuel efficient.. the 2 products I'm considering is 2.5kw maxi (148k on fouani) and 2.5kw thermocool (157k in showrrom) both are key starter. If you've used any of these... kindly share experience on how many hours 5litres will go on load of 1tv, 2fan, 2laptops and few bulbs

You should be getting around 10 hours for such load.
