True, i didn't even factor in introduction, prewedding pics, bridal shower and bachelor's eve.
But do you think marriage is a measure of your spending or how elaborate your wedding was??

My white wedding, 300 people, 150 from each side, i will rent a wedding gown or design myself. For the white wedding reception, 2 million should cover it maximum, 2.5 million, for court just me and my bae, like 200k should cover it. For traditional too, also 300 people mostly family and friends, 2 million should cover it. This is my minimum standard, we will both achieve this without any wahala after or soaking garri during honeymoon. I am hustling, you had better be set..
Thats minimum of 5m for just a wedding and over 700 guests... .

Maximum 10 ppol will be invited. NO MORE THAN 10.

Civil wedding wud do. No need of a church wedding since i do not have a religion.. cool

Wedding gown? Maybe.

Wedding Reception: Juz in hotel..So it will be counted..RSVP only. cool

Babe you are in spirit.. ....this is the exact kind of marriage I want, but more than 10 people shall but no church wedding

I just discovered my fiancee has been cheating on me. I discovered the chats she had with a married elderly man ,she initially denied it but she confessed after I showed her the evidence i had. We have been dating for six years and we did our intro early this year. We have picked the date of our wedding which is in few weeks time. People have been invited.

Her relationship with this elderly man didn't start now, she made me to understand that it has been going on for years. Now she has been begging me to forgive her and not put her to shame because PEOPLE are already looking forward to our wedding day.

Wedding preparations already in place. Infact preparations already 80% done. I'm really in a state of confusion right now because I don't know if I should go ahead with the wedding out of pity. And I am also scared that if I marry her out of pity, I might not love her the way I should as the thought of her being unfaithful over the years will never leave my head And how am I sure she's not cheating with more than one man?

Pls nairalanders, matured advice needed at this time.
This is a delicate issue, one would have said forgive her and go ahead but there are lots of uncertainty ahead. I will tell you forgiveness is earned, in this case she didn't earn it, she has kept the relationship and want to take it into marriage without telling you, I feel she never thought you will catch her.
The summary is don't go ahead with her, hard as it may but that's the best for you, if she opened up to confess to you then it shows she had some remorse and respect for you but in this it's shows virtually no iota or respect for anything you represent to her. God give your strength to make the best decision.

Romance / Re: Man and Woman are different.. Nothing like Gender Equality by Gr8amechi: 2:17am On Jun 20, 2017

1. Can a man impregnate another man?

2. Why should the lady take the "blame" (a child is a blessing and not blame) when it takes 2 to reproduce?
Should we not change this backward ideal rather than embracing it?

3. Gender equality isn't about trying to be a man but rather trying to protect women from the injustices that you as woman is supporting.

I hope all the praise you get from the men on this thread puts money in you're account because you just sold out on the female race including your daughters.
what injustice

With your intention if you get to the National Assembly things will change for good! But you need a platform to contest 1st! We seen PDP and APC in action already! So why not try APDA and see what they have to offer
join APDA?? JUST TO AID THESE GUYS?? I WILL GIVE IT A THOUGHT

Those old man will never reduce it! Because they know that one small popular youth will disgrace them on election day! PDP and APC are dominated by Old men and women
That is the issue, all the parties are just after using the youths as thugs, none of the parties are free from this, let the minimum age of getting to house of assembly be 21 years, governorship and house of representatives be 25 years while Senate and president be 30 years then we will know they are serious about giving youths a chance

House of Assembly and house of Rep is 30 and above! Governorship and Senate is 35 and above! and Presidential is 40 and above!
At least we have to start somewhere 1st! there is no opportunity for youths to contest elections in either PDP or APC! You have a situation were a 50 year old man is contesting against a 30 year old for the ticket to contest for house of assembly,we already know who the winner is!
You call 30 and 35 years youth?? What happened if we first fight the nass to reduce the age to 20 or 25 years, or even 18 years that's when I know you guys are serious about giving youths a chance

Youths of the newly registered Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance (APDA) have appealed to Nigeria youths to take advantage of the party’s platform and effect the desired generational change in leadership.

The Youths under the umbrella of Advanced Peoples Democratic Alliance Youth Frontier (APDAYF), made the appeal in a statement signed by its National Coordinator, Comrade Inioribo Tamunotonye and the Director of Strategy and Mobilisation, Comrade Temitope Owa, and made available to our reporters in Abuja.

The statement reads;

“Today, young people of Nigeria who in their childhood were made to believe that they are the leaders of ‘tomorrow’ are taking every medium available to them to decry the exclusion of their constituency in the leadership of this country at all levels of government”

“It is no longer a secret that while young people across the world are major players in the leadership of their respective countries, Nigeria youths have been left wandering in the wilderness due to the unavailability of platforms for them to take advantage of. The youths have simply been reduced to playing the role of spectators in the political system of Nigeria”

“However, APDA core principle is to have everyone irrespective of age and gender come on board and play their part in achieving a renewed Nigeria”

“Section 126 (7) of the APDA Constitution mandates that youths shall occupy at least 25% of all party and public positions at all levels of government and party”.

“According to the Section 126 (2) (t) of APDA Constitution, youths are people within the ages of 18 and 35. This means the party recognize that every Nigerian of voting age should be part of leadership at all levels”

“Furthermore, the APDA has given youth members 90% discount of membership fee in all category save Platinum (when you look at its membership fees for youths). This is unprecedented in Nigeria’s political history”

“We appeal to our apolitical colleagues and those that are wasting away their intellectual resources in other political parties to come on board and be a part of this great platform as we cannot wait for the elders to die before we lead”.

what is the age range, enough of this youth deceit. However what is the minimum age of contesting and election by our constitution? ? The primary fault is the constitution not just a party affair, the party can not give anyone below 40 years governorship ticket,

Okay, you are still blaming the woman undecided

Mothers also work yet they still find time to bond with their kids.

Mothers can only try but kids never forget.

Basically, they are not responsible for fathers' actions so you can quit blaming them

Lol not that na

You must find a way to blame women. So it is women that ask men to act like tyrant because they are men abi?

lol hell no, I am not blaming anyone but rather looking out for ways to make it out. Just imagine the fathers sit at home just to spoil their mother to their kids. My point is the mother has a role to play in the kids not hating the father, agreed the fathers ought not be too bossy or harsh but sometimes children need that extra push to bring out the best in them even the Holy book said spare the rod and spoil the child

. I said it is rare for women to do that not that it does not happen... What I am trying to say is that majority of the fathers we have today see their home as a war zone which they have to conquer and this is VERY VERY wrong...
yea I get your point, but that's why marriage is for two, that's when the lady needs to help the man, until ladies discover that they are mothers to both their kids as well as husband some of these little issues can't be solved

Op you are sooooo right! Number 8 and 13 is enough for those with a functioning brain.

The mistake most dads make is they think respect is sth. to be enforced on the kids, which results in forming boss, bringing up rules that don't make sense and barking around like dogs.
The truth is they will "respect" you because they are SCARED of you. They will do those things you want them to, also because they are scared of your actions BUT what happens if they dont have a reason to be scared of anymore? You don't earn respect by instilling fear in people, that's just pathetic.

Also most of them think they don't have to be close to their kids because of this and that. It could be because they think it's the mother's job or whatever. All they have to do is bring money to the table. How naive! Building no emotional connection to YOUR own kids. Jeez which kind of life are you living?

Well like op said when you retire and then seek for emotional bonding etc because you feel lonely, there is higher chance that you are not getting it.

Oh and it's also sad that most Nigerian men are brought up thinking showing feelings whatsoever makes them look weak
nice write up but you got some things wrong, I agree must dads go too much to the extreme but I blame the mothers more, it's very wrong for you as a mother to spoil your husband before your children, any mother who can't build the bridge between her kids and husband has failed

Great Nigerians, great students and great medics. I want to use this opportunity to solicit your support, advice and guidance.
Please I am confused and deeply disturbed, disturbed concerning this coming UTME and subsequent 2017/2018 admissions. I want to study either of biochemistry, microbiology, physiology or anatomy as first degree in any of these uni Delsu, absu, ansu, imsu, funai, esut before proceeding to study medicine. Then my questions are as follows:
Can I cross over to medicine on the successful completion of the aforementioned programs
Must it be through direct entry or does other media exist
Which unis allow their medical students complete a BSc in any basic biomedical sciences eg biochem, physiology e.t.c for 3/4yrs before the 3/4yr medical/clinical program leading to the award of mbbs. I heard of Delsu's similar policy but havn't confirmed really yet. What is the normal utme cutoff for biochem. And finally what are my chances to be admitted in delsu or Absu to study either of medicine or biochemistry being from Anambra state. Thanks in advance

Sorry getting a first degree doesn't guarantee your entering into clinical class on admission. If you do a first degree you will need to be admitted through direct entry into 200 level, so my advice is seek direct utme admission into medicine once don't put your self through that stress, for more info on Delsu medical school you can pm me I will be there to help
