Lame as usual.

What a stupid rejoinder...Does anybody need a degree in forensic criminology to decipher that whoever wrote this piece of crap from UCH is trying to pull wool over our eyes? I cry for this land...

Are you contradicting/denying the professional irresponsibility for which most doctors in Nigeria are known for?

This kind of unconscionable attempt to cover up and explain away criminal negligence can only take place in this country...

You can't say "most" doctors are irresponsible, thats a fallacy.

Education / Re: WAEC Is Confused – MURIC, Reveals What Timetable Can Cause In Nigeria by Gr8amechi: 5:48pm On Mar 19, 2018
2Ebisco:
A religious group, the Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, on Monday described the 2018 examinations timetable recently released by the West African Examinations Council, WAEC, as volatile, warning that the timetable is capable of causing a disturbance of public peace if it erodes the Jumat period.

WAEC recently scheduled Chemistry for 2 pm to 4 pm on Friday April 20, 2018. But following criticisms from MURIC, the subject was moved backwards to Tuesday April 10, 2018. However, ceramics (Essay) and Forestry (Essay) will now be held on Friday April 20, 2018 from 2 pm to 4 pm.

While stressing that Muslims all over the world attend Jumat prayer in their mosques from 1 – 2.30 pm on Fridays, MURIC, in a statement by its Director, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, pointed out that educational institutions and offices often leave a two-hour window (from 1 to 3 pm) for the faithful to go and worship.

The Director of Public Affairs, WAEC Nigeria, Mr. Demianus Ojijeogu had confirmed the slight amendment, stating that “For the sake of the people who will go to the mosque, the exam will be delayed till they come back. The paper will be delayed till 2:30 pm or 3 pm, when the Muslims will return from the mosque”.

But MURIC is not satisfied with Ojijeogu’s explanation, maintaining that it is not convincing enough, and “leaves Muslim candidates at the mercy of WAEC’s ad hoc staff, invigilators and supervisors, some of whom can be overzealous Muslim-haters”.

Akintola said in the statement; “Even if it is true, this amendment still needs clarification from WAEC. For instance, we need to know whether or not some Muslim candidates take these two subjects (Ceramics and Forestry). Yet this may not be the end of our inquiry even if no Muslim candidate has registered for the subjects this year because some Muslim candidates are likely to show interest in them in the near future.

“The ideal thing for WAEC to do, therefore, is to steer clear completely from scheduling any examination during the Jumat period. There is no need to stereotype Muslims and the subjects they are likely to take. Knowledge is a universal thing and candidates are not likely to consider religion as a factor when choosing their subjects.

“The Muslim Rights Concern, MURIC, was shocked by the first timetable released by WAEC. It was unfair, tyrannical and provocative. It was equally myopic, thoughtless and parochial. This ‘amended’ version presupposes that WAEC is confused.

“We were shocked because issues like this had been trashed out with WAEC before. For WAEC to have tried this again, we strongly suspect that the regional examination body is suffering from chronic administrative amnesia.

“WAEC appears confused because there are three other clashes on the ‘amended’ timetable which WAEC did not address at all. Social Studies (Objective) is slated for 1 – 1.50 pm on Friday 4th May, 2018 while Electronics (Objective) is also billed to take place between 1 and 3 pm on Friday 11th May, 2018. Woodwork is equally scheduled for the same day from 12 – 3 pm. So how do we reconcile all these? WAEC is out to slay Muslim candidates.

“Placed pari passu with the ‘amended’ timetable, it is clear that WAEC’s spokesperson seeks to deceive Muslim candidates. He is leading them into a trap. If indeed the timetable has been amended and Chemistry has been moved to morning period on Tuesday 10th April, 2018, why would there be any need for “the exam would be delayed till they come back” since it would no longer be taken on a Friday.

“WAEC spokesperson also spoke of the paper being delayed till “…2.30 pm or 3 pm”. This is supposed to be a policy matter. Is he not so sure? Which one should WAEC ad hoc officials operate? 2.30 pm deadline or 3 pm? WAEC is speaking from both sides of its mouth.

“We recall our press statement dated 26th August, 2015 under the caption “WAEC Examination Timetable is an Invitation to Chaos”. That press statement was issued three years ago when WAEC fixed three different subjects between the hours of 1pm and 3 pm on three consecutive Fridays running from 11th, 18th, and 25th September of that year. MURIC cried foul and WAEC later adjusted its timetable.

“So what has changed since then? Does WAEC intend to bring examination materials to its Muslim candidates in the mosque? Is WAEC asking Muslim candidates to choose between worshipping and their examination just as some religious bigots told Muslim students in the past? Is this not an attempt by WAEC to jeopardize the interest and future of Muslim candidates? Is this also not a deliberate attempt to ease out Muslims from vital degree courses like medicine, pharmacy, nursing, etc?

“Once is happenstance, twice is a coincidence but the third time is enemy action. The 2015 incident was not the first time. Is WAEC targeting Muslim candidates for destabilization? It appears the only language WAEC understands is force. Although Muslims will not resort to the use of force, we will resist WAEC’s illegal, unlawful, illegitimate and unconstitutional manipulation of its timetable to deprive Muslim candidates of their Allah-given fundamental right to worship as enshrined in Section 38 (i) & (ii) of the 2011 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended. Any WAEC timetable which trespasses into the Jumat period (12 – 3 pm on Friday) is therefore ultra vires, null and void.

“By this press statement, we are notifying the Federal Ministry of Education of the volatile nature of WAEC’s timetable. It is capable of causing a disturbance of public peace if it erodes the Jumat period. Nigeria has witnessed enough religious riots and the Ministry must call WAEC to order.

“WAEC’s regional status notwithstanding, the Ministry of Education owes it a duty to ensure that no educational exercise capable of stirring civil disturbance is allowed to take place under its watch. The Ministry of Education should have an input in an exercise of this magnitude. In view of the fact that WAEC keeps repeating the same irritating and illegal time table year after year, we suggest that from now on, WAEC time tables should be scrutinized by the ministry of education to ensure that nothing unlawful creeps into it.

“Muslim candidates and their parents will be left with no choice than to mobilize to WAEC examination centers in peaceful protest if this complaint is ignored.

“We demand a WAEC timetable that leaves the 12 – 3 pm window which Muslims need for Jumat service untouched. An ideal examination timetable for Friday will therefore be 9 am to 12 noon and 3.30 – 6 pm. In fact, heaven will not fall if examinations are limited to morning period on Fridays.

“The WAEC timetable imbroglio has once again brought the Friday Question to focus. We have no iota of doubt that WAEC will have no audacity to fix an examination during the Jumat period if Friday is free like Sunday. Or should we simply ask WAEC to fix one subject for the Jumat period and another one on Sunday morning from 9 am to 12 noon, at least for parity? How does that sound? Who feels it knows it. WAEC should stop oppressing Muslims. All we are saying is: Give Us Jumat period. Respect Allah, our Creator, even if you don’t respect us.

“WAEC is pursuing an aggressive anti-Islam policy. Fixing examinations during Jumat service gives non-Muslims undue advantage over Muslims. This is discriminatory and unjust. WAEC has lost its soul.

“To round up, we charge the Federal Ministry of Education to call WAEC to order. We advise WAEC authorities to consult widely when fixing its timetable because no public institution is an island, entire of itself. WAEC should note that the Jumat period (12 – 3 pm) is not negotiable for any subject. We urge Muslims to remain calm, to eschew violence but to be alert and watchful. Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom.”

http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/03/waec-is-confused-muric-reveals-what.html
I am not a Muslim but there are truth to the points he is raising. It's wrong to have exams within those hours of worship, times should be adjusted not because of his treats but for the fairness.
However why do Muslims always speak with threats? For the fact that the southern Christians are quiet about everything doesn't mean they own the monopoly of violence, the truth is those who make peaceful change impossible makes violent change inevitable. As a body he could have channeled his complaints directly to the honorable minister of education as well as to waec, if they had seek audience from waec and wasn't granted then this press conference can be justified but honestly he made good points but just destroyed everything with his approach.
When I see people like these been referred to as professors I can only weep for my dear nation, being a professor should mean you have attained a very high level of reasoning and not just about playing academic politics, it's clear we have so much bunch of "Educated illiterates", there is big difference between being schooled and being educated, I weep for the future of this nation

Hello guys I need urgent help in turning my life in the right direction. I'm a 300 level Law student but only did about a year of arts before applying for law. I initially started with sciences but due to some stupid reasons I switched to Arts.
I'll say it has always been my dream to become a medical doctor and I think I'm smart enough to achieve that dream even though it seems too late. Given that my WAEC is in arts subject and all my credentials shows I'm an arts student, is there any possibility of gaining admission to study medicine anywhere in the world. I don't mind if I need to take a foundation year to or something.
I'm really living an unfulfilled life right now and I need to get it back on track. Anyone that knows the steps I can take to make my dreams a reality should guide me, most especially if you know someone that has done this before. Be it Russia, Ukraine, Philippines, Cuba or any country, I'm ready to go. Thanks.
with what I know, you need to take another waec and get a minimum of 5 credits, if you are serious about what you are saying you can actually finish you law then before traveling out to study medical.

IELTS, hmmn... For the listening and reading sections, I didn't really have any problem with those from the start. I did some practice tests using Cambridge IELTS Students Book with Answers version 9 and 10 which I downloaded online. I tried to simulate exam conditions as much as possible by strictly timing myself, and I always scored band 8 and above from the first attempt, so those were not really problematic.
The major challenge was writing cos I had no one to assess my write-ups. I watched some youtube ielts videos particularly Jessica Beck. I actually watched all (or almost all) of Jessica Becks free writing and speaking videos on youtube. I also completed the Road to IELTS from beginning to end. I then practiced writing and speaking by timing myself and answering some of the sample questions in the materials I had. I had about a month of preparation before the exam. I was working as well so preps was majorly after work. Some friends of mine used ieltsliz and ieltsbuddy in addition to Road to IELTS but I didn't use those.
On the exam day, I was pretty confident, however, I had a little hitch in the listening section. I didn't hear the answer to a question in that section. That destabilized me a little and caused me to miss 2 or 3 more answers. I eventually caught up with the speaker and completed it. Despite the hitch, I felt I would make at least a 7.5 in listening. Luckily, I had 8.5.
Reading was clean. No hitches. I also had an 8.5.
Writing was a challenge, I barely finished. I wrote a lot, asked for extra sheet. I didn't have time to go over what I had written and correct any errors. Thank God I made it 'cos I couldn't imagine having to write that exam again. I scored 7.0 in writing.
My speaking was scheduled for the same day on request because I had to travel a distance to get to the venue and I couldn't afford to make the trip twice. By the time it was time for speaking, I was drained. That exam isn't one I'd like to repeat honestly. It's really exhausting. Thankfully, I had 8.5 in speaking as well.
My advice would be that you should try to assess yourself before your exam and know where you stand. You should have an idea of how well prepared you are. If you are not sure, let a friend honestly assess you, then you'd know whether you're ready to go for the exam or not. You may also consider signing up with one of the online or offline ielts tutorial courses if you have an area that gives you a lot of difficulty. You may also want to ask for advice from those that did theirs in Nigeria because some people say that marking is stricter here (I don't know how true this is). Hope I've helped a little. I wish you all the best. Cheers!

P.S: @basingstoke, you may have to work some more on your grammar cos I can see that you made the same grammatical error twice in your questions above. It should be ace not aced and use not used... no offense intended.. just trying to help. Cheers!!

Good day Drs in the house, please can anyone be of assist to my younger brother who is doing Remedial in ABU. I enrolled him to a hospital were he did auxiliary during the pass 2 years he was pursuing his admission into the university. The boy is very good that he can even do like 3 different surgeries without the supervision of a Doctor. The area of help am seeking for, was for him to be given the course of his choice which is medicine and surgery. Not at the end they give him a different one entirely due to Nigeria factor. He's doing well academically presently. So, what else should he do to scale through. Any useful advice is welcome. Can be reach on 08077011964
Practicing medicine isn't same as auxiliary nursing training in fact the Doctor Who trained your brother should be arrested immediately. Medicine has a curriculum and it was drawn out for a purpose. You can't jump into performing surgeries when you don't know the basic medical science, you have no idea of what gross anatomy is, no pathology training now clinical exposure. Advice your brother to stop immediately and focus on getting admitted, you first understand the theory of medicine before indulging in the practical I'd not you end you as a common mechanic.

Fool. Who controls the Police, Army and other security agencies. It is time to introduce state policing. Only then, can you hold the state governors truly accountable for the security of lives and properties. Is it not in this same country, that a commissioner of place prevented an incumbent governor from accessing the state government house? Is it not in this same country that the police shut the gate of the National assembly against an incumbent Speaker and other honorable members of the House of Reps? Is this not a clear fact that the Federal Government is in absolute control of the security apparatus? Despite PMBs order to the IGP to move to Benue State, have the killings stopped? What then should the governor do?

I'm not speaking for the governors cos they are also foolish and lack competence. Most politicians have no sincere interest of the masses at heart. However, Dalung's stvpidity ought to pointed out in clear terms. He is as useless, clueless and senile as his principal PMB.
you made great points at the end of your write up, we all agree that Buhari has failed so should we then accept our leaders to be crying babies?? Where is the security vote given to these guys? It's not illegal to them to form a vigilante group in their respective states and also I really hate it when these governors cry like they really have no power but they do control a number of police assigned to them, they can order police to shot at protesters but can't order same police to protect their citizens it really doesn't add up maybe I will need to be more educated

Are the security agencies answerable to the governors or the President?

Who has the security apparatus of the country? The Governors or the President?

This administration is an agglomeration of the same type of people.

THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN MUST SET FORTH AT DAWN
If you think the governor has no control over police try and block his way and see if he will not order to shot.
Back 2002 somewhere in delta State as local government chairman ordered police to shot at sight and lots of youth were killed because they burnt down police station. Look at what fayose did, these governors receive security votes what do they do with it??
Buhari has failed us that doesn't give a governor excuse to fail his people also, look at Lagos they created lots of state owned forces can't these governors create and equip a vigilante group? Let's not look at the messenger but the message,

why come public and say things you don't know, maybe you just about USA and UK. There are lots of countries in Europe that have full tuition fee free schools, the Google is your friend try equip yourself with information, our system has failed and that's the reason Nigeria is like this, why do you have a government if they can't manage the resources of the nation to provide basic amenities for her citizens. Should we talk about health care or what?? What actually is the Nigerian government doing for her people, even in countries like USA though their fees are high but the is a system you can still school under government loan, sorry to burst your head almost all the so called professors we have now schooled under scholarships and even with government feeding but now they keep embezzling and come up to state that money is not enough. It's very insane to ask someone to pay schools for which after he graduated he can never get a job that even in 3 months can make his tuition fee

Celebrities / Re: Daddy Freeze Celebrates As UNIBEN Revokes The Registration Of Campus Fellowship by Gr8amechi: 4:08pm On Jan 22, 2018

Freeze,

The chant against flamboyant Pastors is very commendable.

Reveling in joy at the revoke of some christian fellowships is shocking. This can be misconstrued to assume your angst is not really with the Pastors but Christianity (Pentecostals). Anything anti-Christianity subconsciously may unknowingly be giving you joy. A dangerous state really.

The fellowships on campus beyond religious connotations do really help with the balance required for interpersonal and certain soft skills. A lot of lives really get shaped or kept in shape through the duration of study, simply by association through fellowships. Not everyone is comfortable with the mode of worship or doctrines of orthodox churches/fellowship.

The school may have genuine reasons to revoke the fellowships, that will be for the fellowships to address. Basking at the decision negates the "go ye into the world and preach the gospel" mandate.

While we lampoon the bad eggs, we should remember there are several other genuine people who are fervently led to share the word.

I recall you once used to preach on Sundays on radio, while you say all sorts of prurient content all week long. The exuded oxymoron was quite baffling, but you were really never judged.

Stay true to the cause (flamboyance in Christianity); do not get carried away. Self destructs faster than missiles!

My 2 cents..
It's like you didn't read the memo from the school.
It makes perfect sense, they only revoked multiple campus fellowship and rather created a platform for all to worship as one, all Pentecostal have choice of either Christian union/Nifes or scripture union and also catholic. More so no room for using classrooms for fellowship but using buildings dedicated for religious affairs

For starters, do you know that Mr. Donald Duke has been the only Nigerian Governor who served and was not listed by EFCC for any corruption charge? You can read more about it Here on BBC

According to his page on Wikipedia, He created the idea of the Obudu Ranch International Mountain Race and the race grew to become one of the most lucrative mountain running competitions in the world under his stewardship. In 2005, he created a special reserve fund for the state meant to ‘‘hedge against economic downturn, and the inevitable rainy day’’. This was meant to cushion the effect of unforeseeable economic challenges that may occasion uncertainty in the state's Internally generated revenue, as well as monthly allocation from the federal government.

Donald Duke initiated the Tinapa Resort project as a way to boost business and tourism in the state. Over $350 million was spent on initial development before phase 1 opening in April 2007. The BBC reported in September 2006 that Governor Duke was the only governor specifically mentioned as not being under investigation by the federal Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (Four other governors were also reported as not under investigation but their names were not released.)

Duke is a man with results, therefore, i will urge well meaning Nigerians to come together, and REDEEM out future.

It's Time To Get Things Right!
I have a few questions for you, first do you know duke in person??
Is he willing to run for presidency or just noise making??
One thing you must know is winning presidential elections goes beyond just winning one zone, rather forming alliance with people from other regions that have weight and can guarantee votes. I may have ideas that you may need let me know if you are interested

1. English: B3
2. Mathematics: B3
3. Physics: A1
4. Biology: A1
5. Chemistry: C4.
I was expecting at least medical related courses, unfortunately they shift me from MBBS to Botany. Please what can I do with Botany because I don't want to loose another year again?

Thanks for your good suggestion!

Please if you don't have any positive suggestion to contribute just ignore it.
have been in your position before, it takes a very dedicated soul to move on and still get back to medicine.
My advice do not go for the admission, sit-down prepare for another jamb and ask questions about other schools and your chances of getting medicine.
You score wasn't too bad and I don't understand why they gave you botany. If medicine is your dream don't go for any related course or you may end up not living a fulfilling life. Medicine is achievable all that's needed is more efforts more work and everything will fall in place

Sour loser or not, he's saying the fact. Give Guardiola the same team United had and let's see if he'll be so special after all. Guardiola inherited a team they've spent multi-millions on, a team Pellegrini used to win Epl and reach UCL semis just before Guardiola came in and he couldn't do sh*t with them last season, he had to spend another 430Million of his own, so...Yeah United has also spent but in comparison, united don't stand chance, they must spend more...It's a shame, average players now cost so much, talk-less superstars, but when you are a big club that must challenge for the title in modern football, you must shell the Cash to get the players that fits the status.
look at what you are saying city finished 4th the season Pep took over. All 4 fullbacks were average age of 32, CM were average of 31. Pellegrini fails to improve on the squad he met that's one reason Pep is still spending. And besides Mou spent and at the start of the season he said he was satisfied with his squad so what now transpired between now and them?? City form isn't just down to spending but spending smart, knowing what you lack and going for it. Now Pep knows he needs a CB and is going for one instead of other coaches to focus on their teams everyone keeps calling city like if city held their hands from buying

Ezigbonmadu:
This is bullshit.

First, the amount paid as tuition by students doesn't determine the quality of education. Take Germany and all Scandinavia countries for instance where tuition is free yet their education is top-notch. You can't blame Nigeria students who shouldn't even pay at all for paying too little

Secondly, how have they spent the little money allocated to them? Can they boldly claim that the government get value for the little amount invested so far? I know many Nigerian lecturers who failed to graduate in UK universities due to poor grades after the federal government have invested millions of Naira each on their education through TETFund. These lecturers get fully funded scholarship from FG that takes care of tuition and maintenance while their salary still get paid in simultaneously, yet most fail. Now they avoid Europe and North America but now prefer Malaysia and co. I guess it's easier to pass there.

More importantly, private sectors in developed countries finance researches, not the government. How many private sector research funding have they as academia in Nigeria attracted over the years? Your guess is as good as mine, they attract almost zero funding. Who is to blame? Obviously it's the Nigeria academia that fail to appeal to the industries.

Education / Re: Why Nigerian Universities Can't Be World Best- Ibrahim Garba ABU Vice-Chancellor by Gr8amechi: 8:48am On Nov 25, 2017
Reading some comments I just weep, we are so quick to make comparison with USA how ever there are several other countries with free education and have very great standards of education, when most people talk about fees in USA, you forget that most of their citizens can school on loan and pay back after graduation also remember that they have a system that you are almost assured of work immediately you graduate but that doesn't translate here in Nigeria. I have Friends who have graduated from big expensive private universities in Nigeria and after 2 to 3 years after graduation they have no job despite paying very high fees, now just imagine you are from a power home and your parents borrow money to train you after paying average of 1,500,000 per session for 4 years and you don't get a job how will you repay, even if you get a job how much will be your salary. If you know your parents are rich enough go and school abroad no one is holding you back but these corrupt professors that all rode on free education and scholarships have no morals to ask govt to increase fees, it's a big sin against humanity. God will help the poor

1.So that we can have more technicians to build us an industrial society that would take us to developed country status...and i don't look down on technicians, thank you very much.

2.In 2013 we could not find 3 trillion for existing universities in extra funding. Where are we going to find money for this one?

You got 3 trillion naira?

Don't complain when fees go up to 500000 and above to fund this new university.

I am, ultimately, not opposed to new universities, but when we are having so many issues funding the existing ones...to the point that we may have to raise fees drastically....then, I do not agree.
nice words but some people will just choose never to agree for political reasons, that's our biggest problem in this country. Shame... Big shame

CharleyBright:
Oga Vice President, if the President of the government you are serving spent over 100 days abroad, and billions on foreign medical expenses, why won't the Doctors go abroad?
They are simply following the money.
Stop the Medical tourisms, spend the monies at home and make our hospitals more efficient and the Doctors will stay, period!!
Real points here, the health sector is dying and the rate at which doctors are leaving the country soon we would be left with very few if any. Medical students have already started preparing for international exams way before graduation, there would be serious crisis soon in the sector if nothing urgent is done
Politics / Osinbajo Decries Large Exodus Of Nigerian Doctors by Gr8amechi: 1:29pm On Nov 21, 2017
The Nigerian Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, on Monday decried the way Nigerian doctors were leaving the nation in droves saying the government now has an opportunity to bring back the doctors.
Mr. Osinbajo, who spoke at the 60th-anniversary celebration of the University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan, said that the dismal levels of job satisfaction caused by poor healthcare system in Nigeria were responsible for the “alarming” brain drain in the country’s health sector.
The vice president’s remarks comes a few days after the Chairman, Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Lagos State branch, Olumuyiwa Odusote, lamented the exodus of doctors from Nigeria.
The Punch newspaper quoted Mr. Odusote as saying, “The health crisis in Nigeria is unprecedented as the mass exodus hits an alarming proportion.
“Already, it takes a new patient two to three hours to see a doctor. Over 100 doctors have resigned from the University College Hospital, Ibadan, this year; about 800 doctors resigned from Lagos State hospitals in the last two years, and over 50 in November alone.
“Kebbi State has been unable to employ a single doctor in two years despite multiple adverts for employment; over 200 doctors and nurses have resigned from Ladoke Akintola Teaching Hospital this year.
“Seventy per cent of Nigerian doctors are making plans to leave for foreign lands and are taking exams to that effect,” the NMA chairman said.
The vice president in his speech at the UCH, acknowledged that “the last few decades have not exactly been a stellar period for healthcare in Nigeria.”
He pointed out underfunding, neglect and corruption as the major problem affecting the sector.
“Medical workers know more than the rest of us that, without acknowledging and diagnosing a condition, it would be difficult, if not impossible, to prescribe and implement the appropriate solutions,” Mr. Osinbajo said, before pointing out what needed to be done to restore the country’s healthcare system.
“First we must create the right conditions at home, by investing in infrastructure, and vigorously fighting the corruption that underlies much of the decline and rot.
“We must also as a matter of urgency redefine our approach to healthcare delivery, management of healthcare institutions and enabling the private sector a prominent place in our healthcare delivery”, he said.
Mr. Osinbajo praised the UCH’s pioneering effort in different areas of medical sciences.
“Since those early days, UCH has gone on to open new frontiers in health care service delivery. It was the first medical institution in Nigeria to launch Nuclear Medicine services, the first to introduce Palliative and Hospice Care services for end-of-life and chronic debilitating diseases, and the first to open a Geriatric Centre in Africa – the Chief Tony Anenih Geriatric Centre, which began operations in 2012, and today, we’ve just commissioned the Adebutu Geriatric Rehabilitation Centre,” Mr. Osinbajo said.
He added, “UCH is also responsible for pioneering interventions in heart and brain surgery in Nigeria, as well as the development of the award-winning Bladder Manikin, which has been patented for use as a medical teaching-aid in low-income countries.”
Mr. Osinbajo said that the UCH was among the initial eight tertiary health facilities that the Buhari administration will be upgrading, through the investment of the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority, NSIA.
