There was nothing whatsoever wrong with her dress. The length is below her knee. The CBN is a federal building and place of business, not a church or a mosque. If she was a white woman she wouldn't have been challenged at all. The way we treat each other in this country is appalling. Whether or not her appearance was proper business attire for the meeting should have been determined by the person she was meeting with. If he (or she) did not think her appearance was professional enough then that would, of course, affect how well the woman's proposal would be considered. That should have been the end of it. Many people commenting in this post that the woman's dressing was not proper would, in another post, lament about how Nigerian business and governance practices fall short of western standards. Yet they continue to harbour these patriarchal and backward views over a woman's rights over her own body and how she presents herself. They should know that, with that mindset, we will never grow beyond being a big fish in a little pond and the rest of the world will continue to see us as villagers in the context of the global community. My 2 cents.
