A renowned lawyer and former lawmaker from Ogoni in Rivers State, Senator Cyrus Nunieh is dead.

The sad event occurred after the 88 year old Elder statesman married a young lady identified as Rosemary Ijeoma last year which went viral on the internet.

Suanu's Blog recalls that the wedding took place at the Presidential Hotel in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.

His former wife had died in 1991.

Speaking on why he decided to marry again at old age, Senator Nunieh had said;
“I cannot continue to stay alone. I love her and she loves me. We understand each other and she is also intelligent. In marriage, there are advantages somewhere and disadvantages in other areas.
“There is no limitation in age. Some may say you are old; you may soon die. But some were dead even before they were born. Some were one year or two years old and they die. Death is not always dependent upon a man’s age.
“You know that rose is the best of all flowers and we have two Marys in the Bible; we have Mary, the mother of Jesus and Mary Magdalene.
“She too (Rosemary) is a believer of the Bible. But why are you particular about her age? She is not an infant. She is a very charming woman.”

Unfortunately, death has cut him off from enjoying his new wife.

The late Senator until his death was the President of Bori State Movement.

It may interest you to know that Senator Nunieh was the first lawyer in Ogoniland.

May his soul rest in peace.

One of the most beautiful sights to behold is that of waterfronts and canals. From the Canals in Venice, Italy to the rivers in some of our villages, they always make us feel good when we see them.

However, same thing can’t be said about these waterways Autojosh.com spotted in Yaba area of Lagos. These pictures were specifically taken in Makoko-Iwaya area in Yaba. This is a low-income community where a large number of the residents live on water. Very dirty water!

Makoko is made up of 6 separated villages. They are all spread across land and water. These villages are Oko Agbon, Adogbo, Migbewhe, Yanshiwhe, Sogunro and Apollo. The first four are the floating communities, known as Makoko waterfront; the rest are based on land.


A third of the shelters in Makoko is built on stilts along the lagoon and the rest is on the land.

This waterfront part of the community is largely harboured by the Egun people who migrated from Badagry and Republic of Benin and whose main occupation is fishing

Makoko has a population estimated to be 250,000.

Residents there commute within and around the community via small fishing boats. For instance, these, boats will charge N50 – N100 to haul you around the community while you suffocate in the stench coming from down below.

According to the World Bank, Makoko is one of the 9 major slums in Lagos state.

The other slums are Agege, Ajegunle, Amokoko, Badia, Iwaya, Ilaje, Bariga, Ijeshatedo -Itire.

Makoko is in Yaba Local Government area of Lago state.

The Executive Chairman of Yaba Local Government Area is Omiyale Kayode Adejare.

Akinwunmi Ambode is the governor of Lagos state.

Justice Oladimeji said the constitution only stipulated that the candidate must be educated up to secondary school level and that the plaintiff also admitted that the Senator attended Ede Grammar School.

Obviously the reason she got slapped is because she decided to act like a spoilt brat in his home, throwing away his eggs after he asked her to use less. Obviously this female lacks home training and, above all, respect.

Let's be real, things are real in naija.
When you are a guest in someone's house, when you are asked to use less of something, THE APPROPRIATE RESPONSE is not to kukuma throw the whole thing away like a stupid fool. What if he wanted to use some? Did she buy it? Why throw his resources away to act stupid? Actions like that speak lowly of your upbringing and your ability to think before acting.

Make no mistake, the bitch had that slap coming.
Not because she wanted to eat 4 eggs,
Not because somebody is "broke",
Not because of poverty,
But because she clearly disrespected this man in his own home AND willfully destroyed/wasted his property over a simple cautionary request.

Senate President Bukola Saraki yesterday said the Senate under him was most productive since 1999 when the country returned to civil rule.

Saraki in a statement to mark the third anniversary of the 8th Senate, issued from Saudi Arabia where he is on lesser hajj, said they have worked assiduously and diligently to meet demands of Nigerians.

“In this time, we have passed 213 Bills, cleared 138 petitions submitted by the public. We are happy to say that this Senate is the most productive since 1999. It has surpassed the 5th Senate which with 129 bills in four years had the highest number of bills, as against the 6th Senate with 72 bills, and 128 passed by the 7th Senate. The number of petitions we have successfully treated to the satisfaction of Nigerians, who filed them dwarfed the eight and six treated by the sixth and seventh Senate respectively.

Saraki in a statement by his media aide, Yusuph Olaniyonu said the Senate and the National Assembly will continue to be transparent, accountable and responsive even as the nation and its political office holders prepare for the 2019 elections.

My dad once mentioned his brother usually takes his only daughter (my cousin) for virginity test on her birthday so she'll remain a virgin till she gets married.


he (my dad) said he wanted to do same with my sisters but my mom was having none of it cos according to her, she trained, trusts and knows her daughters well



we all thought perhaps he would stop when my cousin crosses her teens but she celebrated her 21st birthday a month ago and 4 days ago i jokingly asked her on whatsapp if her dad still took her for the tests and she said yes!!


honestly at first i was shocked and thought my uncle crazy but on second thoughts, i believe what he's doing is a little right


seeing how wild my cous is (being an only girl and all) i'm 100% certain she'd have long lost her virginity if not for that


i think i will do that for my future daughter(s) cos this world is evil and boys are not to be trusted (girls too)
