Politics / Re: Why Anambra Governorship Election Should Be Cancelled by grafikdon: 2:11am On Dec 02, 2013
Some Nairaland APC folks are really scary.

"My way or I send your head rolling on the floor!".

"Vote for my candidate or I'll do horrible stuff to you and your entire generation".

"If my candidate loses this election, I will show you pepper...wait and see".

"While my opponents were wasting their time in towns and villages, I the infallible know-it-all elitist was winning EVERY internet poll, cast by people with awesome imagination who live thousands of miles away from Nigeria. This simply means that I have won, victory is mine, the outcome of the actual election MUST mirror my internet poll victories or else...somebody's gotta go home with the body intact, minus the head".

"You rejected and humiliated my candidate, therefore you are a f*k..n uncivilized reprehensible, repulsive, nincompoop imbecilic nitwit...die f.ktard! Your village, your town, your ancestors....DIE! DIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

Jesus wept! shocked shocked shocked This is some scary *sh.i.t*.

Unfortunately, a lot of APC politicians are almost as delusional and totally disconnected from reality as the internet APC folks. Beats me why anyone'd sincerely believe that APC as a party is different from PDP, when APC is riddled with politician who were outfoxed in PDP. We really have to stop mutilating the word "progressive", unless someone is telling me that pedophiles and perverts(grown a.ss senators who want to marry and have s.ex with babies), crooks, malevolent rabble-rousers (you know...those guys that want the snake and the monkey to drown in the blood of the chicken),blood thirsty religious whack jobs, delusional elitist SOB's with exaggerated self importance and uncouth hooligans can now be classified as "progressive".

Before anyone jumps into the usual threat and cheap blackmail bandwagon, I just described 98% of the politicians in PDP, APC, APGA, LP (feel free to insert other inconsequential village parties). These are just platforms for contesting election, where each party is a congregation of strange bedfellows with divergent ideologies.
TV/Movies / Re: Designing A Home Theater Cinema On A Budget by grafikdon: 7:10am On Nov 16, 2013
Many people are going this route (HT setup). With the proliferation of decent HD home theater projectors and projector screens, the cost of setting up a decent home theater is not as astronomical as it used to be, unless you are aiming for all the bells and whistles that come with a dedicated light controlled HT.

Once you get this thing up and running, you will probably have a hard time watching your sports/movies or even anything on TV. Nothing beats watching sports/movies/netflix/playing games/heck even surfing the web... etc on a giant 120/150/180/200 inch screen grin

ifyalways: Sorry but Apga if they are to be judged with their recent displays in Anambra state, are nothing but a set of confused clowns.

Obi has turned APGA into the chicken party, riddled with men without focus . Right now I see APGA as an abomination that has refused to go away. They came up with the Anambra North ''zoning'' nonsense(In 2013, are you friggin' kidding me?), as if that was not enough bad decision, they kicked Soludo to the curb. Now they have pushed an unwilling participant, Obiano into the arena. You can tell from Obiano's composure that he is not ready for this game.

And what's with this concept of plastering Obi's face all over APGA campaign clothes? Looks very amateurish. Whatever happened to their Chicken logo, or is Obi turning himself into a ''godfather"?

spikes C: look at these ignorants, people not living in enugu talking. Am ashamed of all of you people, maybe u all should ask questions first before vomiting those rubbish.

Info 101, the real reason that stupid so called governor banned okada is because a relative of his( or as it goes, his friend's son) was killed during the cultist war which went on last 2 weeks. The idiot in question was even a cultist too. The guys that shot him was on a bike.

You all who thought that enugu is good a place are just deluded out of ignorance. Enugu is one of the worst place to be, the stupid child-abuser, who can't keep his d!ck at a place nor leave Esut students alone is blinding every visitor with the so said good roads and nice town views.

What do you think will happen to the thousands of okada riders who just woke up today and was told they wouldn't be earning a living again. Just last 2 months, they were all asked to go and register and get a licensing number. It was announced on the radio that it was free, but they had to pay 1700 each for the registration, else you would face the wrath of the newly employed YOUTHS who act as task force.

The stupid governor is fooling everyone that he's moving towards poverty alleviation, while he gives out taxis at the price of a multiple of 3 of what it was imported from china.
Students of ESUT no dey rest for him as he increases the school fees every year. They now pay 122,250 as tuition fees only. Should i mention the other fees? It totals up to 200 for a fcked up state school which he never invests on.

do u know who will be affected by the okada shit;
The okada riders
Those selling okada parts
The task force, yes, they will definitely go out of jobs
The travellers...
Do you know how much the taxis cost, do u blame them when they have to pay times 3 of what the vehicles cost.
do u know that there're people feeding a whole family with these.

People should learn not to vomit sh!t out of ignorance, because me and you have a car doesn't mean the lesser people should be stamped on. They have always been stamped on, you drive a car and when an okada man is in your front, you flare up for him to go out of the way as if its not a mechanical device too. Because yours has 4 wheels? We are all humans, sooner we get that into our thick skull the faster judgment day becomes. Seriously, i would say judgment year

God bless you, brother. I never understood why people shower accolades on that insufferable buffoon with the silly Hitler mustache. All I see is a tightly wound no-good sonuvabitch with a stick up his azs. I won't even go into the disturbing adverse effects of the abrupt eradication of peoples' means of livelihood, without a ''transition'' or ''weaning'' period and without any meaningful alternative on the ground for thousands of the jobless youths.

It is difficult to expect much from impulsive infantile leaders like Chime, when the followers have been so battered and broken they consider a slap on the face worthy of praise and an acceptable alternative to the usual beat down with a cudgel and a kick in the wee-wee.I often had to hold my head with bandages to avoid explosion when reading some of the silly suggestions and recommendations of Chime for President. Our standards are really low in Nigeria. In my humble opinion, that guy is not worthy to head the Shi**t Packers Association.

AdamuW:

@aphek That's fine. Both methods can create amazing worlds depending on the imagination and skill of the team behind the project. But I do know that I can mock up a design concept with characters, rig it and get animating etc faster in 2D than in 3D. I have fair exprience in both so does my team and we agree on that. But it's animation so it's subjective to an extent. One thing that was definite was the speed of production of the 2D techniques we used over the 3D ones we researched.

I came to the same conclusion based on my experience in both methods (Started playing with 2D and Digicel Flipbook back in 2003/2004). I could put together a concept for previs. from scratch within a very short period, the same will cost me not less than 4 days (Working full time) if I go the 3D route. However, the real test begins (2D) when the key frames drawing kicks in. This is where a very thick line is drawn between the men and the meddlesome interlopers.

2D production is not for the faint of heart, even with the proliferation of modern software and hardware that alleviate the daunting production process, through the integration of cost and time saving features and short cuts, I still think it is a scary cardiac arrest-inducing process. Perhaps my eroded zeal for 2D animation could be a factor in my judgement.

Keep the flag flying guys. I understand and appreciate the magnitude of hard work involved. The more the merrier and I know we will get there someday, through perseverance and relentless pursuit of quality.

Obiagu1:

It happens to everyone. I've been to a town close to Aguleri in Anambra and when I spoke, all of them grinned and chuckled as if I was speaking trash. Most of those that behave that way have not traveled out of their towns and are not familiar with other dialects. I had to speak slowly so they could understand me but I could understand them very well.

Same experience here. Some people furrow their faces in bewilderment when I switch from central Igbo to my Ekwulobia dialect, but in most cases (if not all) it is done without malicious intent. When friends are involved in the ''mockery'', it is usually done as a comic relief. But to be fair, there are words and phrases in my dialect that bear little or no semblance to the widely known Igbo words/terms and can be easily mistaken for a different language by those unfamiliar with the dialect.

Example:

1. Ibene/Kana/Kanwa (Here)

2. Wehine/Wehune (Now)

3. Ibenihi/Ibehu (There)

4. Etu (butt)

5. Mgbaduga/Apalapa (foofoo/Akpu)

6. Okeibulu (Elderly woman)

7. Nihi (look/Look at)

8. Gbaduo (Walk)

9. Ndi (Who/what)

10. Akiyiwe (Coconut)

11. Ngwa (fire)

And others too numerous to mention.
Politics / Re: Polls Violence: Northerners In Onitsha Flee To Asaba, Army Barracks by grafikdon: 11:39am On Apr 20, 2011
@ T9ksy

Like you, I have been asking the same questions for years with no answers in the horizon. The Southerners getting maimed in the North are innocent citizens who have every right to pitch their tent wherever they deem fit in their own country, that is why I am calling for drastic measures. Like you noted, the trouble makers are not some mysterious extraterrestrial creatures who fall from the sky only to vanish after the mayhem, they are well known and the sooner they are apprehended and decimated, the better. Cut off the head of the snake and get it over with. From where I stand, this is not a very complicated approach, unless there are some underlying factors that I am not aware of.

Here's hoping that Jonathan will show some balls of steel and send a strong message; "Resolve your grievances through the proper channels, otherwise you will be be decimated with the most devastating brutality".

This message will sink like an anchor once a couple of examples have been set. Think the trouble makers are fearless? Nope! This is Nigeria and most are not suicidal. Remember the Nigerian that was sent to blow up a plane? So what happened when it was time for action? Did he not sh*it his pants and soil his underwear? Once an example is set, everyone will get the message. This is the most effective approach IMHO.
Politics / Re: Polls Violence: Northerners In Onitsha Flee To Asaba, Army Barracks by grafikdon: 9:05am On Apr 20, 2011
Reprisal attacks should be prevented and those who decide to take the law into their hands should be ruthlessly dealt with. The northerners down South are innocent citizens who have nothing to do with the Northern chaos and mayhem. Harming them in anyway makes you even a bigger coward and repulsive cold blooded killer. An example has to be set and this will involve the trial and execution/imprisonment of the people behind the unnecessary wastage of human lives over the most flimsy excuses.

Do this a couple of times and both the ''masterminds'' and delirious attack dogs will get the memo, loud and clear. Even the prospects of sexual or-*g.y with 72 virgins will not be enough motivation to attempt such a brazen display of buffoonery.
Politics / Re: Buhari Rejects Results In 22 States And Fct by grafikdon: 1:35am On Apr 19, 2011
Buhari is a delusional professional election runner and a serial loser. He's doing what he does best; dream about his imaginary landslide victory without any meaningful campaign, run, lose and then whine. 4 yrs later the circle continues. He really can't see the handwriting on the wall. Nigerians are no longer interested in coup plotters, even IBB has seen the handwriting on the wall but no, not Buhari, his "Born to rule/win" idiocy is a serious impediment to his sense of judgement.
