Just go to know that my little sister is one of the staffers, like I don't understand in the world why she got herself involved after all the money we spend on her.I know how much my younger brother wired to her account lately. The kind beat wey I go beat her when she gets to the house is loading.
Please take that energy to Mahmoud and help me break his neck if you can. The young lady did nothing wrong by wanting to do something extra for herself. You suppose appreciate her sef.... some people are praying for what you have.

But Dangote's kids deserve a better life?

Adeleke's kids deserve a better life?

Atiku's kids deserve a better life?

Why should the fact that his kids schooled abroad be the source of your rage and hatred? Since when is that a political talking point?

How do you even know I didn't school abroad?

You people have no idea how to properly oppose your opposition.

Grasping at straws to make your case is just pathetic shenanigans.
That is the problem with you lot. Everything is Atiku and useless PDP and bloody shitty politics.

I study abroad, I work and save up to travel to other countries and see things. I went to Berlin and almost cursed Nigeria along with every living being that has ruled her and did nothing tangible of note. It's so stupid and annoying that you think all I want to do is show opposition.

Who gives a care about Atiku and Saraki and Obi and all those recycled bunch of losers in your revered, integrity laden APC.

Mr... I care about that young man in the street losing his mind because his country has failed him and wrecked his dreams, I am bothered about the average person going through so much hardship and an old hag who is dumb and clueless offering nothing and seeking to remain there longer is not going to.make things better in any way.

If Dangote and Adeleke can defend their sources of wealth and worked hard for it, they can do what they want with it. If you had to depend on the collective wealth of the country to enrich yourself and feel your kids should have better opportunities than others when on a good day you know you don't deserve it, I can NEVER respect you.

Same primary school all of them attended.

As for their studies, nothing new, even average citizens can boast of better schooling opportunities.
Mr..... please be reasonable and honest. The super average Nigerian cannot pay over seven thousand dollars as tuition alone for a child to study in one of the most expensive countries for a student.

Nigeria leads the world rankings in poverty remember. I'm not saying any politician is better, they all are 2 sides of the same coin, but for one that made so much fuss about being an ordinary simple person, it is highly disgusting that he chose to play on people's intelligence when he apparently has little or nothing in his skull

TravelRe: Czech Republic Offers To Pay Nigerians, Others Money To Leave Country by greenprince(m): 4:30pm On Jan 18, 2019
Hottdawgg:
This is a patently racist move against Nigerians living in Czech rep. All other countries nationals like Russians, Afghans etc were added to obscure their intention.

4k Euro is pea nuts. Many Nigerians spent more than that to build a new life for themselves in Czech rep and other countries in Europe.

The more mainstream, wealthy, westernised European countries like Germany, France, Italy try to build an egalitarian, cosmopolitan society in Europe, while the European underbellies like Czech rep, Hungary, Poland continue with their retrogressive, racist acts.

UK pulled out of the EU because of the action of these countries citizens flooding London the moment they had the opportunity that they are trying to deny the less privileged from other countries.

If it wasn't a racist act, they will look for the brightest and the best among these Nigerians but they simply hate the sight of the black skin and they have elevated this hatred to a policy of State. The open societies of Europe will continue to develop and do great things while these lesser countries will be poor, backward, weak, unable to compete and remain fixated in their white skin
Call them all you want but you will still have to kiss the truth that they're far better than your beloved, smart and hardworking people filled African countries.

The open societies or big boys of Europe are comfortable with having foreigners around cos they can afford it. Besides, foreigners boost their economy with tourism and manpower. Try to be considerate when you speak of these smaller countries. The German or French language cannot die. They have a fairly huge population and the culture is relatively preserved. You want Hungary of 10 million people to allow 1 million migrants in? In 55 years, little will be left of their indigenous cultures.

Not everyone is comfortable with a melting pot styled society and we must all respect that. I bet you don't know small countries like Hungary fund huge projects of rebuilding churches in areas like Iraq where Christians are severely persecuted, they even provide scholarships to their citizens.... how much real, no strings attached aid does filthy rich Qatar or even sweet mother Germany give?

Let the small Balkans states be, as underdeveloped a they seem, they breed some of the worlds smartest minds. If they say they don't want foreigners, it's their choice and their business.

I advise you keep up with Italian politics. The new PM is not laughing on migration.

Saudi and other rich Gulf states are Arabs and they know what Arabs are capable of doing. They will never allow even their moslem ummah to come in because of violence and terrorists- related activated. Those migrants have turned to Liberal Europeans for help. Yet the same people that are seeking help are also constituting nuisance to their host nations.

I have lived in Europe and I tell you that the rate of decline in their population is alarming. The far -right party in German called Alternative for Germany, is already afraid that in the next 10 years, the one million Syrian refugees allowed into the country will triple in size because of high birth rate among the Arabs. The high birth rates coming from those refugees have economic importance to the refugees as the host nation pays the woman that gives birth something of EUR800 and in Canada it is about CAD650 every month till the child get to like 5 or 8 years.

So, most migrants including Nigerians, have the tendencies to give birth at will to get State's patronage and support but some far right and conservative elements in Europe are now against their continued stay in their country which is fueling populist support in Europe.
Thank you so much. It's soothing to know that not everyone is blinded by emotion and bias. You just stated raw facts there.

The case in Hungary and Austria will soon take over Europe I feel. Italy is already in, just a few more heavyweights and there will be no Eldorado to run to anymore..... I hope we Africans won't wait till then to fix our countries.

It is not about population, it is about demographic change. Czech have a very small population but wants to maintain their cherished identity.

countries like Hungary, Poland, Norway and even Austria are doing the same. Victor Orban of Hungary has been at loggerheads with EU over migrants quotas allocated to his country. He made it clear that he wants to maintain the Christian identity of his country and Europe at large. That is why he has refused to take asylum seekers from Syria

Africans and Arabs are known to breed and born children in large numbers and they fear that the trend if not check will cause demographic disruptions in future since their own populations are declining.
Totally correct!
And unfortunately people fail to understand and keep seeing people like Orban like an anti-christ. He's a shrewd politician yes, but I don't think he's a bad person.

I'm African but I buy his idea and that of Putin. If I was in their shoes, I'd most likely do same.

Let almighty Saudi, Kuwait, Brunei and Qatar that are filthy rich, open their borders at least to their Muslim brothers from third world and conflict ridden countries.

Terrorism:
Hi everyone, I have been a Nairalander for over 9 Years now and I have gained immensely from this forum, thank you so much for making nairaland fun.

I am a man in my early 20's, I am into cinematography and video editing, I all also a staff of a global Christian missionary University with over a thousand locations around the world, God has been good to me this year, even though there are times of lows, but God redeemed me,now here is my the challenge I am facing right now.

I am a diploma holder in mass communication,I offer my cinematography services to a church as a part time staff in Lagos, the job requires me to be present during the 2 church service times in a week and 1 extra day for not more than 2 hours, translating to me being present 3 times in a week, the pay, which is 40k,to me, is averagely okay for the job as #500 takes me to the church and back, from where I live, additionally,I also freelance and work for various other media houses, I have been offered employment by some but I am not into this everyday Job thing where I will be insulted, so I prefer to be my own boss,I stay alone on the Island in a relatively good area, I also work with a big missionary organization with over 1000 locations, which affords me to staff in any of their locations of my choice around the world, last year,I felt it in my spirit to go to the German location of the organization and work there,by the way,the work is completely voluntary,no pay is offered, you just have to give 5 hours of your time to the work and can take as much day off as you want, I applied and did every process required of me and I have been sent an invite, fastfoward to late 2018,I began to feel like staying back in Nigeria and starting up a business of my own,I am thinking about poultry business for now, then I met this cacausian lady I really do love, and she does love me too,we see a future together and most tines, share jokes about how we will live after marriage, she was offered an admission in another state after waiting for years for it but she is reluctant to take it as it will take her far away from me even tho I have promised to visit her often, she is bent on staying back in Lagos.

Now,meeting this lady has also influenced the urge to stay back and start up something in Nigeria, but I also really feel like the grass will be greener over there as I have been told by friends over there, that IT and any technical experience pays well there as there are opportunities.

Please help me,should I stay back or should I leave?

I am scheduled to leave in June 2019,please ignore any typo or errors.
Brother, we have a lot in common. I'm in my early 20s and a cinematographer as well (even though not totally a fan of premiere pro you all love. I prefer Davinci Resolve and hitfilm).
If I'd advise you as a young man who understands your plight, I'll say leave Naija, it's a win-win for you.

You can still run whatever business you want from Europe and make your profit. You sound like someone who knows what he's doing, so job won't be an issue for you. You'd be well paid and you'll earn more than enough money as long as you're willing to learn and work hard. A friend of mine worked just in summer break of less than 2 months and made equivalent of about 220k in Naira as a student for a job with zero experience and reasonable working conditions even though we're in a country with relatively very low income.
You'll get better opportunities and bring out the best in you over here.
As for the lady, I know it will be difficult but you have to be realistic. There's no commitment yet and anything could happen, she could fall for another guy tomorrow. If it's meant to be, heaven will ensure you find your way back to each other. For now, put emotions to bed and pray for God's wisdom. I hope you make the best decision bro.

Professional course: nursing will be a good idea, or pharmacy since you already have chemical engineering knowledge you'll just need to keep up with the medical part.

Good, safe country you'd easily incorporate into, I'd say Belgium or Germany. Compared to other European countries, you'd feel at home as an African there. Canada is pretty welcoming as well

Also you can try Australia if their visa requirements aren't too much
