PoliticsRe: Abians Protest Peacefully Against The Killings Of Igbos In The North by guonno: 11:55am On Jan 17, 2012
It makes me laugh when the sw and North that are bnefiting from subsidy are asking us with infrastructural underdevelopment to go against the removal of f.subsidy. If really the subsidy favours them yoruba owned companies like oando, that refines the oil, then the protest was instigated. On the other hand, we in the se and ss know that the feds would have little or no money in its possession to develop the underdeveloped areas in the ss and se, do u expect the ss and se to joing the protest? INSANE! 70% of igbos are entrepreneur/business men. The onitsha sea port completion has been sabotaged for 30yrs, the enugu international air port has also been held down, making the igbo man labour for the yoruba man through the international and sea ports in lagos, no wonder OJUKWU said that 40% of the lagos economy is on the shoulder of an igbo man, afterall 50 % of the lagos revenue is goten from tax(traders of igbo extraction). Do u know that 80% of igbo business mogul has at least 5 warehouses in lagos where they store their goods? It is from this warehouses that they distribute their goods to all parts of the country, in a country where things are done right, a seaport would be at onitsha. We have not in any way begged u yorubas to protest with us, i wonder y u keep saying u will not protest with us on this one, we might not survive a second sabotage, it is our protest, we shall do it alone.

This question goes to u muslim that said it is haram for a muslim to enter a church. Between a CHRISTIAN and a muslim, who is meant to forbid who, is it we christians that descended from a blessed man (Isaac) or muslims that descended from a cursed and desert banished (no wonder most of u stay in the desert) child (ishmael). No wonder ur religion smells violence, still angry abraham did not blessed your father (ishmael) ? Is that y u kill Christians? Ohh that wrong. I dey joke O! Ndi aragbanko. May Odin sink ur fake ship when ever u sail on our shores without our oder to sailon like true captains on red and black attire. Muslims, keep monopolizing killings until we here go to war from our peace loving leaders, then u will know that u know nothing about handling metals. Amature claiming double 07.

They might fool some ethnic groups but not the igbos whom has chosen to follow-follow christ till the end of time. We igbos reject that stupid and forced visit because we know that u have other plans for us because we igbos are stoping u from achieving ur islamic nigeria dreams. Let me use this medium to warn the abia state people that are giving large lands to hausa/fulani for mosque that a day will come and hausa/fulani would start claiming local govnment chairmanship right like those that  are destroying jos today, just because they were giving a peace of land to settle.

WE CAN ALSO PROTEST NEXT YEAR FOR THE COST OF GOVERNANCE TO BE REDUCED, AND NOT NOW THAT THE GOVERNMENT IS WILLING TO DO WHAT THE PAST GOVERNMENT DID. AM ON THE SIDE OF GOVERNMENT!

Yorubas, urhobos, itsekiris, edos and middle beltans will not say they are not seeing what is happening now, when igboa would want to pull out of the madness called nigeria, some fools would blame them for a war that is necessary. If any war should break out again, i asure nigerians that nigeria will sieze to exist, europe being on nigerians side or not, egypt and arabs, and yoruba, and urhobos, and itsekiri, middle beltans being on their side or not nigeria will devide if we start our own.
PoliticsRe: Enugu Jails Labour Leader Over Fuel Subsidy. Why ? by guonno: 4:19pm On Jan 12, 2012
Yorubasssss. When will u allow the igbos to rest. The igbo people said they dint want protest because they are strong enough to endure the removal till the refineries be built and other infrastructure set up. Those that import fuel are yorubas and hausas, how do u expect igbos to protest when they know that Yoruba people who import fuel will be broke. Am just joking o. That mumu that was arrested for forcing strike in east should be giving 25 years in prison. Thats the price he should pay for following the footsteps of awolowo (oga sabo). i dey joke O.

I distribute goods from state to state, so i was opportune to see what the protest was like in most state. In warri, some hoodlum went about forcing and begging people to protest, they failed though. In the east, trading went on well. A friend in ph said nothing serious happened in port, that hoodlums were moving about looking for hoom to use them for protest. THE PROTEST IS A BIG FAILURE. It is only in some part of the north that people turned out for two reasons, 1.illiteracy, 2.beaf for GEJ. Am seriously enjoying the strike, by friday, i will buy enough food stuff in preparation for another faliure called protest. So am going to do dstv till friday?

PoliticsRe: Why Have South-East Leaders Remained Silent About Boko Haram? by guonno: 12:44pm On Dec 30, 2011
THEY SAY; "BEING BRAVE IS BEING STUPID" AN IGBO MAN IS BRAVE BUT NOT STUPID (NAIRALANDERS, ASK UR FATHER, THEY WILL CONFIRM THIS) ANOTHER BRAVE ETHNIC GROUP IS THE FULANIS(NOT EVEN THE HAUSAS) BUT THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FULANIS AND IGBOS IS THAT FULANIS ARE STUPID, WHEN U ASK 50 FULANIS TO GO TO WAR, WITHOUT ASKING ANY QUESTION, THEY WILL BE AT WAR. BUT AN IGBO WOULD GET INTO WAR FOR A JUSTIFIED REASON. NOW TO MY MAIN POINT WHICH ANSWERS THE QUESTION WHY THE SILENCE FROM IGBO LEADERS? GBOKO HARAM IS AT WAR WITH WESTERNIZATION, MEANING THEIR TARGETS ARE CHURCHES, POLICE, ARMY, SCHOOLS, ETC. U HAVE MUSLIMS IN THE ARMY, POLICE, SCHOOLS, EVEN IN CHURCHES (SOME YORUBA MUSLIMS GO TO CHURCH), U ALSO HAVE DIFFERENT TRIBES WITHIN THIS CYCLE. THE ABOVE LAST SENTENCES MEANS THAT WHEN GBOKO STRIKE, THEY GET AT ALMOST EVERY ETHNIC GROUP IN NIGERIA. WHEN EVER THEY STRIKE THE POLICE, THEY GET ENOUGH HAUSA AND OTHER ETHNIC GROUP THAT ARE MUCH IN THE POLICE, I WAS IN BORNO STATE DURING 2009 BH HIT ON POLICE, CUSTOMS, FRSC, SCHOOLS, ETC. WHEN THEY STRIKE THE CHURCH, THEY WOULD DEFINITELY GET MORE IGBOS BECAUSE 90% OF IGBOS ARE CHRISTIANS. NIGERIA WOULD HAVE BEEN HISTORY IF THEY HAD GOTTEN UNN. LET ME ALSO SAY THIS, IF THIS BOMBING THING PERSISTS, THE IGBO LEADERS WOULD NOT HAVE ANY CHOICE THAN TO SAY THINGS THEY HAVE BEEN AVOIDING AND WHEN THIS HAPPENS, I BET U NIGERIA WILL BE HISTORY. U KNOW WHY NIGERIA WILL BE HISTORY? THIS IS BECAUSE THE WAR WILL BE JUST BETWEEN IGBOS AND HAUSA/FULANI, THE MIDDLE BELT, THE SS, MIGHT NOT JOIN THEM THIS TIME DUE TO THE WICKEDNESS THE HAUSA/FULANI MAN EXPOSED THEM TO. I DONT ALSO THINK THAT THE WORLD POWER(AMERICA - THE WORSE ENEMY OF ISLAM ) AND OTHER COUNTRIES THAT HELPED NIGERIA TO DEFEAT BIAFRA WILL COME TO NIGERIAS AID.

A LOT HAS BEEN SAID ABOUT OBI THE ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNOR, POSITIVELY THOUGH. I PULLED OUT THE ARTICLE BELLOW, FROM SUNNEWSPAPER. DO U THINK THE REST IGBO STATES SHOULD FOLLOW HIS FOOT STEP? I THINK IMO STATE GOV, ROCHAS OKOROCHA IS ALSO DOING WELL. DO WE ATTRIBUTE THIER GOOD DEEDS TO THEIR BEING APGA CANDIDATES? IF YES, THEN WE IN THE EAST SHOULD ALL VOTE TO MAKE THE EAST AN APGA STATE
It is fairly reasonable to argue that Governor Peter Obi of Anambra state is a hard worker. This fact is not contestable, at least to keen observers of development progression in the state within the last five years. But for others, mainly political opponents and cursory observers, the whole idea is a ruse. Since the man brought fiscal discipline to bear on governance, many are unwilling to dovetail with his ideas, however noble. I remember sometimes in 2009, during a facility tour of the governor’s projects in the state, our anchor, a young man, defied many of us to prove that Obi has not achieved more than his predecessors in office. He called the Governor’s dedication to the Anambra project “uncommon”. Two years after, that statement is difficult to contradict. There is hardly anywhere in the state where the administration has not begun and completed, at least a project. The simultaneous development of all sectors of the economy via the concept of Anambra Integrated Development Strategy (ANIDS) has ensured not just even development but also incomparable reach. Long before I became involved in the government of the state as a council administrator, I had viewed the governor’s plans for the state with some concern. My worry derived essentially from the nuisance political value the state has morphed into in the preceding years as a result of godfather intervention in her politics. The impunity spawned as a consequence did not only make development difficult, it made the thought of it unimaginable. Apart from few roads constructed by earlier administration, the entire state was groping for direction. Veritable organs of the state that would drive her development initiatives were left in ruins. Development partners were skeptical to invest in the state. Those already there made hurried exit as political climate became intolerably tense. With the state of affair, few, if not all, viewed Obi’s idea of developing all sectors simultaneously as pies in the sky. To these people it was wisdom not to brook such ideas since there was the fear that he won’t succeed. This was made evident, by the knowledge that his predecessors in office struggled with one or two sectors, with little to show for it. The belief that no state undertakes to tackle all sectors of the economy did not help matters. Even the ones seen as better developed than Anambra, achieved the feat because of longer years of existence. Unfortunately, some of those who misgoverned the state in the past still parade themselves as exemplars of administrative successes. Their years in government so blighted the people’s confidence that the success of the ANIDS concept was as far- fetched as the idea was strange. But five years down the line, the difference is like chalk and cheese. By unwavering dedication and sheer ascesis, the Obi administration has halted the declining fortunes of the state. It is difficult to point at any sector where the government has not committed huge resources to have them resuscitated. From education, health, judiciary, transportation, environment, industrialization, security, roads, etc, all have made remarkable improvement in the last five years. Even in local council administration, the level of commitment of the state to the welfare of both serving and retired staff is simply unrivaled. All the 21 local council headquarters hitherto in decrepit condition now wear looks that befit their status. But what I consider one of Obi’s greatest achievements in the state, besides the flight of impunity and return of investment friendly environment, is the ability to do so without incurring debt for the state. A task many would dismiss as facile, but which is often achieved at the pains of bankruptcy. The recent Senate appraisal of states in the light of the minimum wage crisis exposed the true financial positions of many states in Nigeria. Apart from Abia and Akwa Ibom, which are in the main oil producing, it was Anambra and Jigawa that made the list of viable states in Nigeria. The Governor has through uncommon determination launched the state on the orbit of greatness. His diligence has seen to the coming into the state of SABMiller, world second largest brewery, which now builds its facility in Onitsha. Many more of such companies are under way. South African Distillers and Wines for example, just signed an MOU with the state. Similarly, the administration has earmarked the sum of six billion Naira for primary schools handed over to their owners-749 Missions and 291 Government respectively. The money would be paid in tranches over 15 month period. It also gave One Billion Naira to some Mission hospitals in the state. The Mission hospitals are Iyienu Hospital Ogidi, Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Ihiala, St Charles Borromeo Hospital Onitsha, St Joseph Hospital Adazi Nnukwu, and Waterside hospital Onitsha. Earlier, the state had launched 2billion security funds in order to tackle occasional security lapses. Ugochukwu, writes from Onitsha.
PoliticsRe: Revealed: Victims Of Xmas Day Bombings by guonno: 8:02pm On Dec 28, 2011
Lets get some things right. Gboko harams target are people practicing anything western, examples are police, army, christians, etc. 60% of nigerians are muslims while 40% christians. 20% of the 40% christians are SE people while 10% goes to SW, SS and some North. The statistic above tells u that if there is any strike on a christian community, the igbos will suffer more. I was in borno during the gboko war with the state, they killed lots of northerners and westerners. My problem here is that igbos did not want to listen to ojukwu. Ojukwu cried the day he was addressing igbos in lagos, the reason he cried was because of the huge investments the igbos have in lagos state. My cousin is into real estate stuffs, he confessed that 30 % of the lagos economy is on igbo man's shoulder, back in the east there is no investment. It is only ojukwu's people(nnewi) that invest in their hometown. If the igbos should all come back home then it is going to be easy for us igbos to find gboko guilty of attacking igbos else it will a bit difficult. But all this does not mean that some community are not soon going to strike muslim settlement in the SE. Abia state, aba in particular and onitsha are going to strike soon.
PoliticsRe: Purported Attempt By Boko Haram Members To Bomb Unn And Another School Foiled by guonno: 2:40pm On Dec 28, 2011
Some Nairalanders keep saying gboko people are killing igbos in the north, and that igbos are scared to retaliate. Let me make u dummies understand something, there is difference between:
1 gboko or muslims or northerners killing igbos with the mind set that it is actually the igbos that they want to kill. And
2 an igbo policeman, soldierman, etc, dying when gboko kills policemen, soldiermen, etc. If gboko attack a church which we all know comprise; hausa, igbo, ijaw, uhrobos, yoruba people, with the mind set that they want to kill christians, then u dont expect igbos to start killing hausas and fulanis, this is because the kill from gboko is not meant for igbos but for christians which the igbos are part of. If the igbos must fight in the gboko haram case, they will fight at the permission of CAN, because this is not a fight between igbos and hausa/fulani or igbo and gboko but it is between christian and muslim/gboko.
I heard the gboko has come to UNN, meaning they are now in the east. WHEN THEY STRIKE IN THE EAST, THEN THEY WILL GET A GOOD RESPONSE FROM NdIGBO.

THE POST OF THE YEAR !!!!!
Igbos + yorubas = Tom & jerry. (1). Na dem go fight pass, but wen faced with a common enemy, forget their differences. (2). They don't trust each other, even when fighting together, and will always be looking over their shoulders. (3). Will deliberately go out of their way to look for the other's trouble just to provoke a response. (4). Knows the other could make a good friend, but too proud to admit it. (5). Knows living together is safer and more preferable, but would wanna try other areas just to show independence. (6). Would hammer each other (curses, insults, provocations) but love each other secretely. (7). Would easily sleep with both eyes closed around each other, cos it knows de highest thing dat would wake it from sleep would be a tap or beating, never a hospitalized condition. ( . Knows that extreme anger from the other would only be shown in verbal ranting or a chase or beating - never a fear for one's life. (9). Admires certain profound characteristics or qualities in each other, but would rather die inside or bite their tongue than admit it. (10). When all differences are forgotten or put aside, make the best of friends or companions. Lol, I think Jerry must be Igbo, while Tom is yoruba. JERRY: the more adventurous of the two, troublemaker at times, fearless, smart, the more sharp witted one, likes Tom therefore looks for its trouble, more business minded & result oriented, would never admit it likes Tom, resourceful. TOM: looks for trouble sometimes if it sights jerry, less adventurous, would rather stay close to home, panel beats jerry(curses to the last for human), lazy, respects Jerry but would rather bite its tongue, would rather wait for results than initiate, obedient to commands/ elders' instructions, loner - rather be in its own company. Interesting. LOL.
