Blame America and the west for turning Libya from the most prosperous African country ahead of several EU countries into a failed state which their fake news media like CNN called 'humanitarian intervention' to give Libya 'Freedom and Democracy' Now they have moved on to destroy Syria after Iraq by shooting down a Syrian jet bombing ISIS which they established, fund and armed. Under Gaddafi there were no ISIS, alqaeda or kidnap gangs operating in Libya until the Americans spearheaded by that evil woman Hillary Clinton arrived there. |
The Northern Christian Youths seems to have been humiliated and debased by the Core North to the point that they couldnt even add the name of any Christian candidate in their list of Presidential candidates ![]() |
This is a very serious matter, one major cause of crisis in many young marriages today is *Financial Management*. Marriage counselors and intending couples should engage the services of financial experts during courtship for professional advice. Intending couples who are in courtship should be advised not only about how to love each other but more importantly on how to deal with their finance during the time of boom and how to quickly readjust if there is a downturn in the family income to avoid suspicion by one partner and accusations of spending on frivolities which are sometimes non existent and leads to conflicts as tempers flair because the man is no longer meeting up with his responsibilities. The intending couple needs to know their roles in the family when it comes to finance apart from loving themselves. If both parties are employed how is the rent, school fees, to be paid, how much is budgeted for upkeep, food, provision, light bill, Water rate, maintenance of vehicles, staff or nanny stipend etc? How much is to be spent on dependents such as parents, siblings, relations. How much is to be spent to help the Church or mosque in propagating the faith and what sum goes for charity. What are the investment plans and how much is to be saved for the rainy day? Is there need for a joint account and how is it to be built up? Will the family take up insurance and how is it to be applied? Can they take a loan for what and how will it be repaid? If properties are acquired how will it be registered and in whose name(s)? What are the cost cutting measures that should be applied in the home so that one party does not consume one tin of milk alone while the other goes to bed with bitterness in heart. These are few financial questions that needs consideration especially for couples who are in serious courtship. Love can fade but what will keep the union going is how they agreed to handle their issues and it's better done before tying the knuptial knots. Cheating in relationships is not only about sleeping outside but also when one party is not open about his/her finances or exploits the other by putting extra financial burden that should have been shared in unison. |
NwaAmaikpe:Stale and already sour, we have all moved on on that story except you |
Another Fake news. Abeg chop anything wey hungry you jare, we don taya for eat wheat today, tomorrow another group will say wheat contains gluten and is bad for health. |
snipesdam:It looks more like the Biafran Red Devil |
Thats why I smile at people who try to compare Biafra to South Sudan or Puerto Rico as countries that went their way and couldnt stand instead of comparing Biafra to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore because the Igbos think like Singaporeans and Taiwanese, ready to embrace creativity and technology. |
To the Nigerian women, the mans money is for everybody while the womans money is for only the woman to decide what to do with it |
carzola:You mean he should avoid the region whose mineral resources is underground Head Mining ![]() |
FriendNG:Stop being a simpleton, you must not comment on every thread; before your own I have read highly intellectualized writeups on this issue by some commentators. The aim of this topic is not about Igbos but about a wider Nigeria. Stop being too narrow minded and move to jokes column. |
mayowagabriel:@Mayowa, are Yorubas ready to kill Igbos on behalf of Hausa and Fulani ethnic groups? Who is talking about civil war, why must you declare war on a group that says they want self determination? Do you think the Benue-Plateau-Kogi-Taraba who formed the bulk of foot soldiers that fought against the Igbos will repeat same in 2017 when Fulani herdsmen are decimating their population and taking over their lands? ![]() |
Gbagyi, Gade, Gwandara, Gananaga own Abuja, but all Ministers of FCT have been Hausa and Fulani. Nigerians in the South have now seen that AREWA which those Hausa and Fulani youths asked Igbos to leave does not include Abuja. Benue tribes (Tiv, Odoma and Igede) have also discounted themselves from the threat including other Middle Belt (Fulani Northern rulers prefer North Central and hate the word Middle Belt) Igbos and Southerners in Abuja have always voted for the Gbagyi candidates during Senatorial, House of Reps and LGA elections to reduce the marginalization by the Hausa/Fulani who always occupy the Ministerial position and have resisted attempts to declare Abuja a Mayoralty with the same status as State Governors. |
She named Nigeria while she was about coming ni ni ni ge ri yaaaaaaaa!!!!! |
IHEJIRIKAisBOKO:Awolowo justified it sadly because he was offered the position of Vice to Gowon by the British Ambassador to Nigeria |
Look at them, the elite patting themselves on the back and laughing heartily while the masses are being incited to kill themselves ![]() |
Congrats to the new couple |
This is one of the reasons that makes Nnamdi Kanu talk aggressively to the Niger delta people who thinks that Igbos are their problem. A Yoruba woman who owns a tailoring shop was gifted oil blocks in the Niger Delta and from it becomes the Richest black woman while the ND women are languishing in degraded environments, fishing with canoes in polluted rivers to survive with no modern comfort at home. Kontinu!!! to see the already marginalized Igbos as trying to take over your Oyel because you cant differenciate reality from propaganda. Ndi ara! |
Congrats to him for this individual feat, even though he is coming from a Quota System Army which recruits candidates based on sentiments, I must commend him for excelling in America. Perhaps if it has been in Nigeria War College his performance and grade will be judged based on the region he hails from. This country needs to change for real Alariwo2:Nnamdi Kanu and his group are very happy with you for bringing Biafra into every topic, what else can they ask for, with all the international attention they have received in recent days and you are helping them to increase their popularity. Yeye dey smell! |
I am still wondering how IPOB and MASSOB were able to turn the 50th anniversary of Biafra into an international event that has dominated every discuss in Nigeria since May 30th 2017. June 12 is here and apart from SW Govs mediocre events of naming parks and gardens after Abiola, it is not being mentioned anywhere nationally. The Ag. President didnt even acknowledge it in his speech or make a national broadcast in his honour like the Americans do every January 15th to remember Martin Luther King Jr as an Icon freedom and democracy. Here we can see SW Govs trying hard to make noise about June 12 with public ceremonies but IPOBs use of Total Silence and sit at home order became Golden and very loud. I dont like Nnamdi Kanu or his IPOB but I have to doff my hat for the feat they achieved, to make themselves the most popular topic in Nigeria today without use of any form of violence or street protests or even public ceremonies like this one here

When the Police and Army were killing peaceful IPOBIANs many Nigerians did not condemn the act, now it is becoming a norm sadly; that the Police can open fire on anyone they term to be an opposition member and waste the lives of our youths ![]() |
Do you expect the Hausa and Fulani officer corp dominated Police Force to order them to leave or arrest them for trespass when they are yet to arrest a single Arewa Youth for incitement? ![]()

idu1:A small security post did not give him enough cover and there was no back exit, he took out the guy looking for him and dashed out but unfortunately, the guy he missed when he shot at the car got him and came down and fired multiple close shots directly at him. |
A good child will listen attentively when her father is talking and learn and get a lot of necessary information that will be useful in future, but unfortunately you prefer to concentrate on your phone, browsing and testing. In recent past adults used to tell a lot of stories to the kids and they were never accused of talking too much like kids of nowadays. Modern gadgets is taking the place of interpersonal relationships in families sadly and you are a victim just like many of us |
Emusan:You are right, I have also lived in the North most of my life and Igbos and Yorubas prefer to live together in the same neighborhood as relations, this proximity is the main reason an almajiri cannot differentiate between them, so I wonder why Igbos and Yoruba are divided in South going by comments I read online. |
chloedogie:Can you please open this story of Mrs Oluwatosin murdered by her own students for unknowingly throwing away a Koran used for cheating during exams by one of her students and stop persuading people to take their security for granted in the North. Several Yorubas were killed in Jos last time after the LG elections because they stayed behind while Igbos and others fled believing that the attackers were fellow Muslims and won't attack them https://www.nairaland.com/46741/gombe-muslim-students-put-me |
lofty900:You served in the North but I have lived in the North most of my life. Your class mate in school will kill you if his religious mallam instruct him remember that Yoruba teacher and nursing mother Mrs Oluwatosin from Ondo State killed by her own students because she threw a book which one of them was using to cheat out of the window unknown to her that it was a Koran. See that unfortunate event link here on NL for you Indomie generation https://www.nairaland.com/46741/gombe-muslim-students-put-me Southerners living in the North avoid certain areas on Fridays during Jumaat service and Yorubas even have their own Mosques to avoid being caught up in the middle if their madness starts |
If Igbos decide to declare a work free day to remember Ojukwu, I hope the Yorubas will not turn it into another media war like the sit at home on May 30th. People should be allowed to mourn or celebrate important dates to them. Moreover, I would like to see Kwara State declare a work free day for June 12 but unfortunately it is a Yoruba State in the hands of Fulani rulers who will not allow that to happen and the Yorubas lack the LIVER to even request such from the masters in Ilorin Emirate. |
The fact that all that is been discussed now in Nigeria is Biafra is a big achievement by IPOB and MASSOB. Since the civil war we have never had it like this. Kudos to them for bringing the plight of Igbos in the union to prominent national attention ![]() |
martinosi:You are not IGBO, you are ibo and an impersonator. No true Igbo son or daughter describes his/her tribes as ibo. Too many Yoruba Muslims on this forum claiming Igbo |
Yorubas are more scared than any other group about this Arewa Youths shenanigans, Igbos act as buffer between them and Hausa, Igbos seem to stand in the line of fire for the Yorubas and they are scared that may disappear and they would be at the total mercy of the Fulanis who already control Kwara State. |
Too many kids running around on NL. This forum used to be a place where intellectuals gather, not anymore. Perhaps I may stop reading comments and just read the article and move to the topic |
