Before you start praising the commissioner, please understand that in life, Wisdom is not just knowing what to say, but how and when you say it. That something is true or right does not make it appropriate to utter at a given time or at a given forum. The commissioner might have been right but I think he was not wise (infact he was foolish) in the timing or appropriateness of his comments. It is not everything one must say in black and white even if it is true! Two persons may have access to the same info but one person might be stoned for it while the second person might be praised for it, the difference is wisdom! Scriptures say wisdom is profitable to direct. My humble submission. |
JasonJidenna:Neither did I solicit your reply sir. Thank you! |

TheGoodJoe:Exactly my thoughts! |
Slurity:Look at what Melinda Gates said: "Look at what is happening in Ecuador, they are putting bodies out on the streets, you are going to see that in countries in Africa,” What exactly does she mean by "that" in her statement above with reference to Africa if not the littering of dead bodies across the streets of Africa like is happening in Ecuador. Infact, her main reference or point was not even the situation in Ecuador. She only used Ecuador as an introductory remark to buttress her main point which was on Africa. This is simple English na that I just begin to wonder why such arguments should emanate from it! Now also look at what FFK said about what she implied: On Monday, Fani-Kayode wrote on Twitter; "I see dead bodies all over Africa"- Melinda Gates. Horrendous VISION from a horrendous lady with a horrendous husband..." What is the difference between the two statements? As an adult, a statement must not be said in black and white for you to understand what a person implied! As an adult its expected that you should have mature level of reasoning to understand what message is being passed across. Even at that FFK made the exact statement she made. And notice that he used the word "VISION" to show that her careless and horrendous statement about the catastrophe in Africa was a FUTURISTIC one, and not a CURRENT situation. Whats so difficult about such simple English that you don't understand and now attack the me and the man FFK unfairly? |
"Look at what is happening in Ecuador, they are putting bodies out on the streets, you are going to see that in countries in Africa,” she said. There's no difference between the above statement and what FFK said. So why attack the man when he just said exactly what the woman said? |
i can tell you that this country is super blessed with abundant talents that u begin to wonder why we are still a dependent nation. If the government had the right priorities, by now Nigeria would be producing these basic things including common facemasks and sanitizers! |
those are incubators and baby radiant warmers, and anaesthetic operating theatre machine i see there! I cant see any ventilators or equipments or ADULT life support machines necessary to fight the covid-19 virus. These are just political nonsense to deceive the gullible! |
Nigeria's problems could have been easily solved if the huge cost of governance would have been cut, and government was prudent enough and not as nepotistic as it is now, to bring in technocrats who could help in diversifying their earnings away from crude oil. |
South Africa be appointing technocrats to run sensitive parts of their economy while Nigeria be appointing politicians and kinsmen to run same. So tell me why these countries won't be better than Nigeria. In as much as GEJ had his weaknesses, one thing i loved about this man was that he gave sensitive portfolios to pure technocrats and hands which were tested and experienced both nationally and internationally, while he gave politicians other portfolios. That's one of the reasons why his government did relatively well. |
This is one of the worst real madrid squads ever. You can imagine that this barca side is one of the weakest, yet real madrid still haven't taken advantage of that fact. If the barca were as strong as they were 3 yrs ago, they would have been like 10 points ahead of madrid by now. That tells u how bad thbis madrid squad is. Again, Zidane hasnt done much work on this team. All i see them do is just pass the ball around even when they have clear cut chances to score, they still opt to pass the ball around, more like aimless movement. Most importantly, they do not have a good striker. I said it earlier that benzema is just a waste. I even prefer mariano diaz to benzema. The only good thing he does is to help out the defence which is not even his primary duty on the field (scoring goals!). He cannot hold the ball long enough or make accurate passes. He wastes tremendous opportunities that world class strikers would have converted if it was even a half chance. If they had a striker like harry kane in this team, madrid would have excelled by now. |
Famocious:Ok so he is an anaesthesiologist, not a surgeon. That's ok His story is quite inspirational though. He is a very determined man. |
Where is the scrub nurse? is his assistant also doubling as his scrub nurse? And the way he seems too focused on the patient while his ?assistant is distracted gives this off as an act for the camera. Surgeons carrying out a surgery as serious as a spinal surgery cannot just have an unserious or distracted assistant and keep quiet the way he is doing without any complaint. If you have ever participated in a spinal surgery, you will know that this set up here is just for politics. |
She was not only invited by the south african government but was also appointed HEAD of the economic advisory committee of the country. This is something this myopic nigerian government failed to take advantage of but were rather blackmailing GEJ these past 4+yrs |
Hi, I have a friend in Zaria who is going to Australia for his masters degree, and currently a medical doctor here in Zaria. Knowing how difficult the pathway is to specializing in Australia, he needs to know the best route to practicing in Australia. Should he go for AMC directly, or write PLAB 1 and 2 after masters in Australia, and then further gain the requisite one year work experience in UK before heading back to Australia to apply for competent pathway (seems like a longer pathway). Other available options are welcome. Response urgently needed please. Thank you. |
This is the population of Nigeria at the moment. That is equivalent to every single Nigerian following him. |
This is what we call a united front, not like what is seen in the south east where brothers fight brothers, or governors fight ipobs. Thats why the FG is now shaken by the unity of the south west unlike what happened during the time of nnamdi kanu where his own brothers even sold him into the hands of the FG |
Those of you not in the state are here praising him. This is a state where salaries were slashed ab initio. Even under the new minimum wage, a director at the highest cadre (level 16) takes home 123k as salary, and where increment from one step to another is just by 100 naira or from one salary grade level to another is by only 500-900 naira. Pls dont just read the stories and start praising. Get proper information first from those on ground! Go and feel the pulse of an average worker in the state and you will know what i am talking about.

The use of such IDs by banks is for identification, not for verification, so expiry date should not be an issue . The job of verification lies with the immigrations office. Its similar to when a police officer at a check point asks for your driver's licence. He asks for it not because he wants to know whether its expired but for identification purposes. So any police officer that now begins to query you for an expired licence (which is a duplication of the function of the FRSC) would have gone beyond his prescribed duty, and you have the right to object. That's why its important that we as citizens understand the role of various organs of government so as to enforce our rights when necessary. |
Please Ebonyi already has a federal college at ikwo, where the federal university is also sited. This is all politics |
but why openly display the address of that lady who won the #200k? That is really risky o |
seriously, i watched that video before even reading comments from lauretta onochie or the DSS. As i watched it, i struggled hard to find anyone that looked like a DSS personnel there. There was nothing that seemed to show that the DSS was within that court premises. I know the DSS quite well. They are too organized for such a childish and unprofessional show that i watched in that video. It now makes more sense to me that this whole arrest thing was a drama put up by Sowore and co. |
I have always said it on this forum that apart from the coach's clueless tactics most times, which cost the team a lot at crucial times, this arsenal team cannot perform under even the best coach! I mean how can a coach have core players like socratis, guendozi, mustafi, holding, nathan miles, etc and expect to compete at the very best levels? Its impossible! Arsenal's problem last season was mainly defensive issues. The strike force of auba and lacazette were superberb, so i expected that naturally the defence would have been a priority this season but they wasted money on strike force and emery who knew he would accept responsibility for the performances of the team was quiet about it. I always make reference to how Guardiola and Klopp became competitive. When Guardiola came in to man city, he made an almost complete overhaul of the man city team and brought in players that could play for him, and they delivered. Same with coaches like mourinho and sarri and conte when they arrived chelsea. Klopp during his first seasons at liverpool flopped, because of defensive issues though he had one of the best strike force in the world in salah, mane and firmino, but then he wisely strengthened his defence and today that decision is paying off with trophies and consistent performance! One way i know coaches with a focus is that they always bring in players they know can fight for them at strategic positions. |
This is exactly what I expected Arsenal to have done long ago. Sack Emery and bring in a strategist like Mourinho! But what do I know...Arsenal is bound for failures! Pochettino had been far more impressive than Emery but yet he was sacked for poor string of results. Emery has performed woefully this season but yet he was given a vote of confidence. Totenham shows a club that has a direction and eyes for a positive future! |
I sincerely dont know why people reason like this! Is it about what PDP did in the past or about the sufferings of the people of Kogi? How can this nation change when people like you talk and reason this way? So because PDP rigged elections that should now be a justification for APC to do same? And when APC leaves power, another political party will also come in and rig elections and say afterall PDP and APC did worse! And the whole cycle of electoral malpractice will continue even in the next 60 years and Nigeria will never make progress! Pls this is not about PDP or APC but about the soul and future of this country. Bad leaders should be voted out irrespective of political party. At least it was the same PDP in the form of Yar'Ardua and Jonathan that began the electoral reforms which not only brought the APC into power but would have made Nigerian elections a thing of envy around the world if APC govt had sustained what Jonathan began in the electoral sector. I dont think any right thinking and sane individual, including APC members, should be happy to have Yahaya Bello come back as governor with his bad precedents as governor. Yahaya Bello has at least been tried and he has failed woefully. Even though I don't know much about Wada or Natasha, but I believe another person should be allowed to at least give these Kogi people a chance to have a taste of what good governance is. Until we learn to think beyond political party, this country will remain stagnant. sexiestharam: |
but she could not do that for her husband. What a life of hypocrisy! |
You have spoken my mind. People should do exactly what the bible commands and don't add anything or detract from it to suit man or a situation. alBHAGDADI: |
Please the only heavy weights i see there are Akpabio and Amaechi. Keyamo can't even win a common local council. Timipre has faded out of Bayelsa politics, not to talk of south south as a whole. Please pple who know nothing about south south politics should steer clear of such misleading write ups. |
I told this forum before now that Arsenal buying strikers was a poor decision. Their main problem was in the defence and that is where they should have spent their money on in the summer! Yet they focused on acquiring more strikers and midfielders. Again that coach Emery can be very tactless at times that i understand why PSG sacked him. How can you pack outdated players like Guendozi, sokratis, monreal, natan miles, and you array them against liverpool, while more potent players like lacazette and torreira are kept on the bench? |
Asides from his despicable roles in Rivers elections, truth be told, Amaechi really performed well as a minister. Infact to me, he was the best of the ministers in the previous dispensation |
When you don't have a leader at the seat of power this is what you have! This country has turned into state of anarchy and lawlessness. I don't think Nigeria was this bad before the coupists struck in 1966. I am just wondering what our soldiers are waiting for. Let the military just come in and reorganize the whole entity using their decrees so we can start afresh because i have lost hope in the puppet and rubber stamp legislature or judiciary to intervene as the country collapses everyday. |
