Ok, back to Nigeria. The hard solution now is lockdown+adequate provision (say #20,000) and see if the angry Nigerians won't hibernate for months...else, let's continue to deceive ourselves, with gradual relax'...the the economy not only get affected as themasses take the largest share when it gets out of hand... The question now is where does NCDC usually get its samples? ,is it from new suspected cases showing fresh symptoms or rather from the group of people already confined in quarantine?
We're so much interested in the source and identities of the people that did bring about the increased number of cases. |

BluntTheApostle: I am against lynching because many innocent people have also lost their lives to lynching.
I have first hand experience of such lynching. It happened to a friend of mine, and I have shared that experience here on Nairaland before.
My friend had just returned from France, and he was to stay over at my place (in Lagos) before moving to his place in Abuja.
On the next day, I decided to drive him around Lagos. We stopped over at a petrol station to buy fuel, but we didn't know that a robbery had happened there a day or two before. We were parked exactly where the robbers parked.
A fuel attendant approached us and told us to drive away from the spot. Initially we thought the particular spot was not selling to vehicles, so we joked with the attendant that we would repark immediately. He just shouted back in such a rude manner, asking us to drive out of the petrol station.
I am a very cool guy, but my friend is not (was not then). He just jumped out of the vehicle, and he and the attendant began to insult each other. I entered and drove out of the station. As I was reparking, I checked the rearview mirror and saw that my friend and the guy had begun to exchange blows.
What i fear the most is street fighting. I was coming out to rush and separate the fight when the other attendants raised an alarm of "thief! thief!"
Even meself that was close to the station, I did not get to the spot as fast as thugs who had come out from nowhere with bottles and cutlasses. I just quickly called one of my big bros (an IPO). I quickly forwarded address. He warned me not to go there, as I will be beaten up too. But I went sha. But I was just shouting in vain because nobody heard me. They had beaten my friend ehn. His white shirt was already red and brown, his fair skin was already red and black.
Anyway, the police arrived, and that was what saved us.
What I learnt that day is that:
1. Anyone can lose his life if anyone calls him a thief in Lagos. (In Ogun, it is kidnapper. Just shout kidnapper, and people will appear with dangerous weapons ready to kill without robust questioning.
2. If you are called a thief in Lagos, nothing can save you except God. Another thing that can save you is if you don't have any money on you. If you have money on you, (even if the money is your own), they will conclude that that was the money you stole.
3. Street fighting can turn messier than you think, except you are fighting in an area where you are well known. If you live in Berger and you are fighting a son of the soil in Mushin, if he shouts thief, you will be lynched for sure.
4. Patience is an important virtue.
5. Jungle justice is bad. So what do you suggest they do to them when caught? |

anihchinma: During this period of coronavirus pandemic, everyone is in panic since there is no yet cure for the novel coronavirus.
Though enlightenment campaigns and awareness are being created to educate, enlighten and inform people about the symptoms and how it can be managed so as not to infect the nearest person or even be infected with the deadly virus.
So many countries like China, Italy, Uk etc have locked down factories, businesses, worship centers, clubs, pubs and restaurants as a measure to contain the deadly virus and this has led to economic meltdown globally.
The cinematographic genre of contagion is quite consolidated. Here are the titles to not be missed within the days of the coronavirus.
While the entire world wonders what percentage deaths the coronavirus will make and when it are often arrested, to stay anxiety cornered nothing better than facing the enemy and watching an honest movie about lethal virus outbreaks.
Here is the list of the 9 Horror Movies about Virus-Outbreak.
9. Outbreak
9 Horror Movies about Virus-Outbreak
Dustin Hoffman is the person that led the team that found a more deadly virus than Ebola, which reappeared after 30 years in Africa where he had been identified and eradicated with a bomb by the Americans.
The premises of this 1995 film are credible (the mutation of the virus, the transmission from animal to man then between people by air), but the event is from a Hollywood blockbuster: to avoid the military destruction of the US town where has spread, Hoffman must hunt the healthy carrier of the disease and encourage the event of a cure.

8. 28 Days Later
9 Horror Movies about Virus-Outbreak
Once again the animals are the greasers during this 2002 Danny Boyle film, but the fault lies with the experiments they need undergone by humans. such a lot in order that , freed by a gaggle of animal rights activists, they infect a lady then the virus spreads to Great Britain.
Wretched Cillian Murphy discovers who recovered from coma 28 days in the hospital where he landed after an accidentt, he's during a deserted London and must attempt to escape the sick became murderers. Here we are from the parts of the zombie movie, but with slightly of realism and more cynicism about humankind. the just about simultaneous Sars epidemic contributed to the success of the title.
7. 12 Monkeys
Bruce Willis may be a prisoner who has been sent back to the past since 2035 to undertake to seek out out what triggered an epidemic that exhausted humanity and made the few survivors to measure underground. The journey isn’t easy, but within the end, Cole discovers the responsibility of a crazy biologist.
The film uses the virus only as a pretext for a story of pure fantasy , which disseminates the investigation of false clues and reflects on human madness, between memories and dreamlike visions.
6. Cabin Fever
A group of 5 friends attend a cottage within the woods to spend a vacation, which however takes a nasty turn when one among them meets a hermit who lives nearby and was accidentally infected by his dead dog.
The virus comes, once more , from the animal world and doesn't really spare anyone, during this film that uses the cue of the infection to stage a show of death: within butchered pigs, people roasted into pieces, animals slaugtered, a new director Eli Roth based his emphasis on the brutality to become one among the prophets of an American hyper-violent horror season.
