Hamtabfawaz, Bolu1986, your call.

Thanks Boss✓.
God bless you.

Olusharp:
Please I am new to this.. How does POP work and how much should one plan for a 3 bedroom...

Hello Sir, POP comes in , when the plastering of your building is completed.

Depends on the size of your space & the designs you want.
POP is charged per Sqm : a minimum of ₦6K per Sqm.

First step.
We need to measure your space, to know the Sqm.

If you're within Lagos, I could help you take the measurements of the space. So you can know the cost.

MrOkenwa:
I bought some locally made tiles in Abeokuta ( victory and goodwill) 4 days ago.
The prices are given per carton, not sqm.

kitchen wall = 2900

Toilet wall = 2800

Toilet floor = {40*40} 3800

Kitchen floor = {40*40} 3800

Sitting room, entrance porch and rooms = {40*40} 4400(victory).
Goodwill is 4300. There are some for 3800, which are the plain ones.

Go and do the pricing yourself. If you go with your tiler and he's known to them at the outlet, they'll add 50 or 100 per carton for him. They added 100 for us but we were ahead of them. Imagine paying that for over 500 cartons. He doesn't need to give them any signal. Some tilers too loiter around the outlets too. If you involve them in selecting a good tiles and all that, the sales person might add the tiler's rebate to the price they'll give you.

I'm paying 400 naira per sqm.

Smart way, smart buy. ✓

I swear, this is exactly what I've been trying to do for months now, been looking for a reliable tile seller, none of them seems to agree to the terms.

it's simply because, they don't want you to save cost. they hold a meeting every new week, & add new price, so of course, they want you to buy at higher Price.

sethtsadopp:
Which product is this please

Almost all products : Whitegips, Tenq , Siniat, First Pop, etc.

sethtsadopp:
I was even thinking of buying from a big store and just collect receipt while they keep for me. Once I'm ready in about 2 months time I go and pickup.
Planning to do this for tiles too. Reason,

1. Rising cost of dollar will begin to reflect in the market prices soon

2. Make i chuck the small cash I have at hand into something before I spend it.

Does this make sense?

Make sure you reach a concrete agreement with the big store, so they won't change their mind when you want to collect your Pop cement, some can be tricky.

Of course, it makes a lot of sense.✓

sethtsadopp:
How much is a bag of POP Cement currently please? And is it possible to buy and keep it for a few months

₦6,500
Yeah you can buy , if you have a store to keep it in, Put on a flat wood in your store, 2months is fine, avoid water/dampness/moisture , it could destroy it.

Tax & Bills abroad. (a lady on twitter also shared her experience of large annual income in the US but largely soaked away in bills)
