It has to do with us trying not to be a liability—to ourselves, to the society.

The average Nigerian woman needs twice the amount of time of her western counterpart to achieve same feat; reason these people seem to be more independent than us, marry earlier than us.

It isn't about competing with the men; neither are we hoeing. For some of us, it's about bringing something to the table which takes us longer time to achieve due to our environment.

Back then, our mothers didn't need to have a means of livelihood before being taken(married). The narrative has changed!

Our modern men want a woman graduate, in some cases an MSc holder...working or owning a thriving business. These things don't come easy, especially: for most of us who didn't/don't have the foundation, connection, means, coupled with ASUU strike. So many factors impede a ladies marital growth.

Below is a link to a thread and Kriss216 made a resonating comment. As much as it isn't excusable, a lot of us take to it to survive.
Where then, is the time for such persons to marry early?

Nigerians should wake up! Since the government has fallen short of protecting the same citizens that got them elected into those highly coveted offices, whenever unfortunate incidences like this happen, sue the government, claim damages. If you’re not being compensated cc International human right agencies, they have lawyers to take up matters like that. I’m privileged to know a few of these agencies.

The government owes us safety of our lives and properties.

A question that begs to be answered is why are all the service chiefs from one particular part of the country. Isn't there some form of collusion among them? No checks and balance. Isn't all these systematic killings not part of a sinister grand strategy to unleash untold mayhem?

Has anyone noticed that #EndSARS killed two birds with one stone? The people did show how barbaric it could get when unleashed. Miraculously fulani herdsmen attacks disappeared in SS/SE. They saw that violence is not the monopoly of any region. If and when #EndHersdmen starts, it will be equally catastrophic. Prayers, fasting and online wailing solve nothing in Nigeria. Actions reign supreme.
